Facial neuritis is in the acute phase (within 1 week of onset), and clinically manifested as: eyelid insufficiency, eyelid fissure increase, nasolabial folds becoming biased, shallowed or disappeared, facial angle deflection, facial angle sagging, facial angle salivation, inability to blow whistle, food chewing retention in the mouth, facial angle deflection, and the like. The muscles are completely paralyzed in this stage, and the active movement of the facial expression muscles is weakened or vanished. The facial expression muscles can be fully stretched by adjusting the filling degree of the expansion air bag 3, the expansion air bag 3 is placed in the oral cavity of a patient, the expansion air bag 3 is inflated and deflated to enable the face to do passive mechanical movements such as cheek-swelling and relaxation, meanwhile, the electrode plates are used for conducting electric stimulation on the outside of the mouth, main acupuncture points comprise cheek-muir, earth bin, great welcome and cheek-vehicle electric stimulation, waveforms can be used with different frequencies, the hammering electric stimulation effect can randomly adjust the intensity of current, and the facial expression muscles can produce excitation inhibition effects such as contraction and relaxation, and generate mechanical effects and electric effects.
Facial neuritis is in the recovery period (within 1 week to 1 month of onset), and partial facial nerve recovery of patients can do certain active movements, such as the actions of a cheek drum, blowing and the like, but is incomplete and not completely recovered. In the process, the patient is made to perform active movement, and the facial expression muscles generate the combined effect of passive movement and active movement along with the rhythm of inflation and deflation of the expansion air bag 3. Simultaneously, the whole process uses different current intensities and frequency stimulation to excite and inhibit the muscles of a patient, and can perform individual stimulation in the mouth, combined simultaneous stimulation in the mouth and outside the mouth and individual external stimulation, so that the facial expression muscles can obtain acupuncture point electric stimulation with various frequencies and intensities in active and passive movements, thereby achieving the best therapeutic effect.
In the sequelae (3 months to more than half a year of onset), the patient is in a state of local muscle stiffness and difficult to recover, such as the movement of lips together with movement, namely blinking, muscle atrophy and muscle spasm, and the state of mouth corner sagging on the diseased side of the face is more upward than on the healthy side. Muscle atrophy on the affected side of the face at this stage results in a smaller face. The expanding air bag 3 is inflated to fully stretch the atrophic muscles, and simultaneously, the patient performs blinking action to fully expand the diseased side face, and when the expanding air bag 3 is inflated to make the muscles on the diseased side of the face in the state of the drum cheek, the joint mouth angle twitch does not exist during blinking action, so that the condition of the short muscle with the drooping mouth angle in joint movement can be improved. The atrophy of facial muscles causes the muscle fibers on the diseased side to be shorter and contracture than those on the healthy side, the muscles are fully stretched and then restored to normal under the condition that the expansion air bag 3 is inflated, and electric stimulation is carried out during inflation, so that the muscles are relaxed and contracted under the action of the electric stimulation, and the recovery is achieved. The treatment in this period can be flexibly applied by inflation and deflation, so that facial muscles do stretching and shrinking reciprocating motions under different frequencies of electric stimulation under the condition of combining active and passive motions. The various waveforms in the electric stimulation of the instrument can ease the tension state of the patient, and the local muscles of the patient can be fully stretched by repeatedly performing the air blowing and air discharging movements within a certain time. In the process, the local muscle tension degree is relieved, so that the passive exercise and the active exercise are fully combined, and the curative effect is enhanced.
