Background
In the sheet metal industry, in order to save the electric power cost, a punching machine is generally not adopted for welding sheet metal parts with smaller sizes, and corresponding sheet metal welding fixtures are designed for sheet metal welding. For example, when the welding surface is a side surface and the top surface cannot be clamped, the welding surface is usually welded by pressing the end surface against a tool. However, during welding, since the positions other than the welding position (on the welding surface) are not covered, welding slag is generated at the positions around the welding position, which affects the appearance quality and use of the sheet metal part, and the welded part is scrapped.
