In the invention, the light source is arranged on the bottom plate of the fixing frame, so that the backlight module does not need to be provided with a supporting component for supporting the FPC, thereby reducing the occupation of the supporting component on the display area and further increasing the effective display area of the display screen.

Technical Field

Background
At present, a backlight module is generally disposed below a display screen of a display module of an electronic device such as a mobile phone and a tablet. The existing backlight module is assembled by components such as a light guide plate, a light source, a fixing frame, etc., and the light source is usually externally connected with a Circuit board through a Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC). In order to facilitate the FPC external connection to the circuit board, the conventional backlight module generally adopts the suspension mounting manner of the FPC shown in fig. 1. In the assembly shown in fig. 1, the light emitting device 11 is disposed on the FPC12, and then both ends of the FPC12 are fixed, wherein one end of the FPC12 may be fixedly supported by the light guide plate 13, and the other end thereof may be fixedly supported by the support member 15 disposed in the fixing frame 14. This makes it necessary for the backlight unit to reserve the setting width of the supporting member 15, thereby reducing the effective display area of the display screen 16. With the development trend of the full-screen display, the effective display area of the display screen is difficult to increase based on the assembly mode shown in fig. 1.

The embodiment of the invention provides a backlight module, a display screen module and electronic equipment, which are used for solving the problems existing in the existing assembling mode of the backlight module.

As shown in fig. 2 to 3, an embodiment of the invention provides a backlight module, which includes a light guide plate 21, a light source and a fixing frame 23, wherein the light guide plate 21 is fixedly disposed in the fixing frame 23, the fixing frame 23 includes a bottom plate 231 and a side frame 232, and an open accommodating cavity is formed by an end surface of the light guide plate 21, the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 and the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23. The light source is disposed in the accommodating cavity and disposed on the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23. The backlight module further comprises a light shielding piece 25, and the light shielding piece 25 seals the accommodating cavity.

Therefore, light emitted by the light source can be prevented from diffusing to the outside of the backlight module through the opening of the accommodating cavity, meanwhile, the light loss of the light source can be reduced, and more light can enter the light guide plate 21.
Here, the light source may consume energy, such as electric power, and elements or lines electrically connected to the light source may be provided on the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23, and the light source may be electrically connected to a power source through the elements or lines, thereby supplying the power to the light source.
As can be seen from the above, the backlight module according to the embodiment of the invention is assembled by placing the light source into the accommodating cavity between the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 and the end surface of the light guide plate 21 from the opening between the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 and the end surface of the light guide plate 21, and disposing the light source on the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23. Meanwhile, a shading piece for sealing the accommodating cavity is arranged to prevent the backlight module from light leakage. The following differences exist in the way of assembling the backlight module shown in fig. 1: in fig. 1, the light emitting device 11 and the FPC12 are suspended at an opening between the side frame of the fixing frame 14 and the end surface of the light guide plate 13, and the supporting member 15 needs to be disposed below the FPC12, so that the backlight module needs to reserve the setting width of the supporting member 15, thereby reducing the effective display area of the display screen. In the embodiment of the present invention, since the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23 can provide a support for the light source, the backlight module of the embodiment of the present invention does not need to additionally provide a supporting member, so that the occupation of the supporting member on the display area can be reduced, and the effective display area of the display screen 27 can be further increased.
Optionally, the light source includes an FPC24 and a light emitting device 22 disposed on an FPC24, the light emitting device 22 is electrically connected to the FPC24, and the FPC24 is disposed on the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23; the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 is provided with an opening through which the FPC24 extends.
This embodiment is a specific embodiment of the light source, and provides the light emitting device 22 with electric power required for light emission by disposing the light emitting device 22 on the FPC24 and extending the FPC24 out of the fixing frame 23 to the external circuit board. The side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 is provided with an opening for the FPC24 to extend out, and the size of the opening is preferably matched with the size of the FPC24, so as to prevent light emitted by the light emitting device 22 from leaking from a gap between the FPC24 and the fixing frame 23. Alternatively, it is also contemplated to provide a shield at the gap between FPC24 and frame 23 to prevent light from escaping through the gap.
One surface of the light emitting device 22 facing the light guide plate 21 may be a light emitting surface, so that most of the light emitted by the light emitting device 22 is ensured to be incident into the light guide plate 21. The light emitting device 22 may be an LED lamp.
Alternatively, the FPC24 may be adhesively fixed to the bottom plate of the fixing frame 23 by the first adhesive layer 30.
Alternatively, a part of the FPC24 may extend to the bottom of the light guide plate 21, so that the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23 may be disposed to protrude outward at a portion where the FPC24 is disposed, relative to other portions.
Alternatively, the FPC24 may be adhered to the light guide plate 21 at a portion extending to the bottom of the light guide plate 21 by the second adhesive layer 31.
Optionally, the light shielding member 25 is provided with an extension portion 251 at the position of the opening, and the extension portion 251 extends toward the FPC24 to be in contact with the FPC 24.
By providing the extension portion 251 extending to the FPC24 in the light-shielding member 25, light emitted from the light-emitting device 22 can be effectively shielded and isolated.
Of course, the light-shielding member 25 may be provided with the extension 251 at other positions, besides the extension 251 at the position of the opening, or the extension 251 may be provided in the entire width direction of the light-shielding member 25 (i.e., the light-shielding member 25 is formed in an L shape). The extension 251 of the light shielding member 25 can be attached to the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 and extend to contact with the FPC24, so that the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 can support the extension 251 of the light shielding member 25, and the extension 251 of the light shielding member 25 can directly shield the opening, thereby further improving the light shielding effect.
Accordingly, the extension 251 may also be attached to the surface of the light emitting device 22 to extend to contact the FPC 24. In this way, the extension 251 may coat the surface of the light emitting device 22, thereby further improving the light blocking effect.
In addition, the extension 251 of the light shielding member 25 may cover any other exposed surface of the light emitting device 22, in addition to the light emitting surface of the light emitting device 22 facing the light guide plate 21, to further improve the light shielding effect.
Optionally, the light shield 25 is stacked on the light source. When the light source includes the above-described light emitting device 22 and FPC24, the light-shielding member 25 is stacked on the light emitting device 22.
Thus, the light emitting device 22 can support the light shielding member 25. Thereby making the light-shielding member 25 more stably disposed in the backlight module. Of course, when the light shielding member 25 has a light weight, the light shielding member 25 may not be stacked on the light source, or the light shielding member 25 and the light source may have a space therebetween, and in this case, the light shielding member 25 may be combined with the fixing frame 23 and the light guide plate 21 by means of a surface thereof, thereby achieving the fixing of the light shielding member 25.
Alternatively, one end of the light shielding member 25 abuts against the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23, and the other end of the light shielding member 25 abuts against the end surface of the light guide plate 21.
When the light-shielding member 25 is stacked on the light source, the two ends of the light-shielding member 25 are respectively abutted against the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23 and the end surface of the light guide plate 21, so that the stability of fixing the light-shielding member 25 can be further improved.
Optionally, the backlight module further includes a light-shielding adhesive layer 26, the light-shielding adhesive layer 26 extends from the surface of the light-shielding member 25 to the side frame 232 of the fixing frame 23, and the light-shielding adhesive layer 26 covers the joint between the light-shielding member 25 and the fixing frame 23.
In this way, the light-shielding adhesive layer 26 can not only improve the stability of fixing the light-shielding member 25, but also further improve the light-shielding effect.
Alternatively, the light shielding member 25 is made of a heat conductive material.
Considering that the light source generates heat during the light emitting process, the light shielding member 25 may be made of a heat conductive material, so that the heat generated by the light source during operation can be conducted to the outside of the backlight module through the light shielding member 25. Especially for the embodiment where the light shielding member 25 is provided with the extension portion 251, the extension portion 251 and the light shielding member 25 together cover the light emitting device 22, the light shielding member 25 has thermal conductivity, which is beneficial for conducting heat generated by the light emitting device 22 out in time. In addition to having a heat conductive property, the light shielding member 25 should also have a good light shielding property and a good insulating property, for example, gypsum, heat conductive silicone grease, heat conductive silicone, etc.
Because of good thermal conductivity, insulation and flexibility, the heat-conducting silica gel is not only favorable for heat dissipation, but also capable of protecting the light-emitting device 22 and preventing the light-emitting device 22 from being damaged by collision. In addition, the flexibility of the heat-conducting silica gel has stronger tolerance to assembly tolerance, so that the backlight module provided by the embodiment of the invention is more convenient to assemble. Based on this, the light shielding member 25 may be made of heat conductive silicone.
Optionally, the fixing frame 23 may be a metal frame, which is beneficial to heat dissipation of the backlight module.
In addition, the backlight module according to the embodiment of the invention may further include other components, for example, a reflective film 35 disposed between the light guide plate 21 and the bottom plate 231 of the fixing frame 23, a diffusion film 33 and a brightness enhancement film 34 disposed on the top of the light guide plate 21, a black adhesive layer 32 disposed between the diffusion film 33 and the light-shielding adhesive layer 26, and the like.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a display module, which comprises a display screen 27 and any one of the backlight modules in the embodiment of the invention, wherein the backlight module is arranged below the display screen 27.
The display module may further include a touch cover 28 disposed above the display screen 27, and the touch cover 28 may be connected and fixed with the display screen 27 through an optical adhesive layer 29.
