Description

Set top box power consumption control method and system
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of digital televisions, in particular to a set top box power consumption control method and a set top box power consumption control system.
Background
With the application of the intelligent system on the set-top box, a multi-task scene mode is more and more favored by users. Along with the continuous improvement of user requirements, the number of applications borne by the set top box is increased, the content is enriched, the running time is required to be prolonged, and the starting and the background running of the applications are common modes at present.
However, the behavior of the application running in the background can have a serious impact on the power consumption of the set-top box. Due to the fact that the application frequently runs in the background and occupies resources, the application reaction of the foreground is not timely, and the false image of poor system performance is caused to a user. Background running of applications requires waking up the system and other system accessories, which requires more power consumption to ensure proper operation of the system. With the continuous increase of the running applications, the set-top box system is finally caused to be in a heavy running environment, so that the foreground applications cannot respond in time, and due to the continuous running, the power consumption is continuously consumed, the heating is continuously increased, and the power consumption is continuously increased, which bring great burden and adverse effect to the performance of the set-top box.
At present, a set top box system has a primary management and control mechanism and a background application management and control mechanism, wherein:
native management and control mechanism
The set-top box system is provided with a default management and control mechanism, and when the memory of the system is seriously insufficient, the background application which is not operated for a long time is recycled (namely the application is ended), so that the behavior of the application in the background operation is managed to a certain extent. However, the standard of memory recovery is very high, when low memory recovery is triggered, a large number of applications run for a long time in the background, and the system is in a high-load running state, so that the power consumption problem caused by the running of the application background cannot be well solved, and at the moment, the set top box system and foreground applications cannot run smoothly, and the user experience is very poor.
Background application management and control
The mechanism of background program management and control is that after the application enters the background and runs for a period of time, the application running in the background is forcibly finished, and the running in the background is prevented. The method can effectively control the behavior of the application running in the background, but due to severe control, the user needs to restart the application when needing to use the application again, a large amount of initialization actions need to be performed in the application restarting process, and frequent cold starting of the application also causes more increase in power consumption and additional increase in power consumption. Meanwhile, as the user frequently starts the application, the user needs to reinitialize every time, so that the starting speed of the application is very slow, the waiting time of the user is long, and the experience is poor.
The application management and control mechanism of the set top box system can not well manage the power consumption of the set top box, which can cause high load of the set top box system, or not only can not well manage and control the power consumption, but also can bring extra power consumption increase and influence the user experience.

and acquiring the starting times of the application in the preset recovery time, and if the starting times are greater than a set value, prolonging the recovery time of the application to be the first recovery time.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, but not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
In addition, the technical features involved in the embodiments of the present invention described below may be combined with each other as long as they do not conflict with each other.
In order to solve the power consumption problem caused by application background operation, the invention provides a set top box power consumption control method by combining a self-contained mechanism of a set top box system to manage application background operation, and specifically, in one embodiment, as shown in fig. 1, the method comprises the following steps:
step S10: a recovery time T of background running of the application is preset.
Considering an application background operation control mechanism of the set top box system, the step presets a time for recovering (ending) the application when the application background operates on the premise that the performance of the set top box system keeps smooth, namely, the recovery time T in this embodiment. If the application background runtime does not modify or set the reclamation time of a single application separately, the application will be reclaimed (the application is ended) when the reclamation time T is reached.
Wherein, for reasonably and optimally setting the recovery time T, the method for setting the recovery time T in the step specifically comprises the following steps: and counting the time when the memory occupation of the set-top box reaches the set proportion for multiple times, calculating an average value, and setting the average value as the recovery time T. The memory occupation set proportion is preferably selected to keep the set-top box system smooth and foreground application unaffected. The arrangement can avoid serious defects caused by the occupied memory of the set top box and can also avoid directly finishing the background application under the condition of directly not considering the memory.
Step S20: the average interval time M of once starting each application is obtained.
The use condition of each application is different for all applications, some applications are frequently-used applications of users, the frequency of switching and starting of the foreground and the background in a short time is high, and some applications are not frequently used by the users and cannot be started again in a long time after the applications enter the background to run. For common applications, a user wants to be started and used by a background quickly, and for applications which cannot be started again in a longer time, the applications can be recycled, so that the power consumption is reduced. In order to know the use degree of each application, the step counts the time interval between each start of the application and the last start and calculates an average value to obtain the average interval time M of the application start, and the use degree of the application is known according to the size of the average interval time M. If the value of M is small, the application interval is restarted in a short time, and the application belongs to common application, otherwise, the application is not common when the value of M is large.
To be more precise, the step further obtains the starting times of the application in the selected time period when obtaining the average interval time M, and if the starting times are less than the set times, the application is not determined as a common application, and whether the application is common can be better determined through further times limitation.
Step S30: the average interval time M is compared with a preset recovery time T.
In order to perform personalized management and control according to the use degree of each application, after the application average interval time M is obtained, the step compares the application average interval time M with the preset recovery time T to perform personalized setting.
Step S40: if the average interval time M of the application is less than the preset recovery time T and the difference between the two is greater than the first difference, the recovery time of the application is prolonged to a first recovery time T1 greater than the preset recovery time T.
By comparison, if the average interval time M is less than the recovery time T, then to avoid the common application being recovered when the recovery time T is reached, the recovery time of the application is extended to the first recovery time T1.
This step may further define the application as a general application. The judgment of the common application is already given in step S30, and is not described in detail.
Further, the application may be further limited in this step, and then the step further includes: the starting times of the application in the recovery time T are acquired, and if the starting times are larger than a set value, the recovery time of the application is prolonged to be the first recovery time T1, so that the application can be managed and controlled according to the use condition of the application by a current user, and the requirements of the user can be further met.
Step S50: if the average interval time M of the application is greater than the preset recycling time T and the difference is greater than the second difference, the recycling time of the application is shortened to a second recycling time T2 that is less than the preset recycling time T.
Similarly, by comparison, if the average interval time M is greater than the recovery time T, it may indicate that the application has a small number of times of starting and a long background running time, and the application may be ended in advance, and the recovery time of the application may be shortened to the second recovery time T2, that is, the application may be ended after the application enters the background running for a short time, so as to reduce power consumption and occupation of a memory.
Compared with the prior art, the set top box power consumption control method of the embodiment avoids the memory of the set top box from being seriously occupied by presetting the recovery time, adjusts the recovery time of the application by counting the common degree of the application and the average starting time interval, can better avoid the increase and waiting of the power consumption caused by restarting the common application, and can better avoid the increase and waiting of the power consumption caused by recovering the common application, and reduce the power consumption by recovering the unusual application in advance, thereby carrying out optimization control on the power consumption of the set top box, avoiding the situation that a set top box system is in a severe operation environment, ensuring the timely response of foreground application, reducing the heating and the power consumption, and ensuring the performance of the.
In order to solve the problem of power consumption caused by background running of the application, the present invention further provides a power consumption control system for a set-top box, which in an embodiment is shown in fig. 2 and includes:
the recovery time setting module 100 presets a recovery time T for the application background to run.
Considering an application background operation control mechanism of the set-top box system, the recovery time setting module 100 of the system presets a time for recovering (ending) the application when the application background operates on the premise that the performance of the set-top box system keeps smooth, that is, the recovery time T in this embodiment. If the application background runtime does not modify or set the reclamation time of a single application separately, the application will be reclaimed (the application is ended) when the reclamation time T is reached.
Wherein, for the reasonable optimized recovery time T, the recovery time setting module 100 specifically sets the recovery time T as: the recovery time setting module 100 counts the time when the memory occupancy of the set-top box reaches the set proportion for a plurality of times, calculates an average value, and sets the average value as the recovery time T. The memory occupation set proportion is preferably selected to keep the set-top box system smooth and foreground application unaffected. The arrangement can avoid serious defects caused by the occupied memory of the set top box and can also avoid directly finishing the background application under the condition of directly not considering the memory.
The interval time obtaining module 200 obtains the average interval time M of each application starting once.
In order to know the usage degree of each application, the interval time obtaining module 200 counts the time interval between each start of the application and the last start of the application and calculates an average value to obtain an average interval time M between the start of the application and know the usage degree of the application according to the size of the average interval time M. If the value of M is small, the application interval is restarted in a short time, and the application belongs to common application, otherwise, the application is not common when the value of M is large.
To be more precise, the interval time obtaining module 200, when obtaining the average interval time M, also obtains the number of times of starting the application in the selected time period, if the number of times of starting is less than the set number of times, the application is not determined as a commonly used application, and through further number limitation, it can be better determined whether the application is commonly used.
The time comparison module 300 compares the average interval time M with a preset recovery time T.
In order to perform personalized management and control according to the usage degree of each application, after the average application interval time M is obtained, the time comparison module 300 compares the average application interval time M with the preset recovery time T to perform personalized setting.
The recycling time adjusting module 400, if the average interval time M of the application is less than the preset recycling time T and the difference between the average interval time M and the preset recycling time T is greater than the first difference, extends the recycling time of the application to a first recycling time T1 greater than the preset recycling time T; if the average interval time M of the application is greater than the preset recycling time T and the difference is greater than the second difference, the recycling time of the application is shortened to a second recycling time T2 that is less than the preset recycling time T.
By comparison, if the average interval time M is less than the recovery time T, to avoid the common application being recovered when the recovery time T is reached, the recovery time adjustment module 400 extends the recovery time of the application to the first recovery time T1.
Further, the application may be limited to a general application. The judgment of the common application is already given, and is not described again.
Furthermore, the recovery time adjustment module 400 obtains the number of times of starting the application within the recovery time T, and if the number of times of starting is greater than a set value, the recovery time of the application is extended to the first recovery time T1, so that the application can be managed and controlled according to the use condition of the application by the current user, and the user's requirement can be further met.
Similarly, by comparison, if the average interval time M is greater than the recovery time T, it may indicate that the application has a small number of times of starting and a long background running time, and the application may be ended in advance, and the recovery time adjustment module 400 shortens the recovery time of the application to the second recovery time T2, that is, the application may be ended after the application enters the background running for a short time, so as to reduce power consumption and occupation of a memory.
Compared with the prior art, the set top box power consumption control system of the embodiment avoids the memory of the set top box from being seriously occupied by presetting the recovery time, adjusts the recovery time of the application by counting the common degree of the application and the average starting time interval, can better avoid the increase and waiting of the power consumption caused by the restart of the common application due to the recovery, and recovers and reduces the power consumption in advance for the unusual application, thereby carrying out optimization control on the power consumption of the set top box, avoiding the condition that the set top box system is in a severe running environment, ensuring the timely response of foreground application, reducing the heating and the power consumption, and ensuring the performance of the set top box.
