The invention discloses an auxiliary handrail for a stair handrail, which comprises a hand grip part, a fixing part matched with the hand grip part, an illumination switch arranged at the top end of the fixing part, an illumination device arranged at the bottom end of the fixing part, and a control device arranged in the fixing part and used for controlling illumination of the illumination device. The auxiliary handrail for the stair handrail provided by the invention comprises the hand grip part 2 for being gripped by a human hand, wherein the side periphery of the hand grip part 2 is of a curved surface structure, the hand grip part 2 positioned at the outer side of the stair is provided with a plurality of grooves which are jointed with other fingers except thumb, the hand grip part 2 positioned at the inner side of the stair is provided with one groove jointed with the thumb, and when the hand grip part 2 is gripped by a hand, the hand grip part can be well jointed with the hand, so that the grip is firmer, fatigue of the hand can be relieved, and the physical strength is saved.
The lower end of the hand grip 2 is provided with a hand grip mounting cavity, the shape of the hand grip mounting cavity is designed according to the structure of the stair railing, and the hand grip mounting cavity can be attached to the peripheral surface of the stair railing when the hand grip 2 is vertically mounted so as to realize firm mounting of the hand grip 2; the illumination switch 1 is installed at the top end of the hand grip 2, and a user can press the illumination switch 1 at night or when light is insufficient to improve the light intensity of the stairwell.
