Description

Automatic recognition device and method for express mail bar code
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of bar code recognition. And more particularly, to an automatic recognition apparatus and method for a express mail bar code.
Background
Bar code technology is an emerging technology integrating coding, printing, identification, data acquisition and processing on the basis of computer technology and information technology. Bar code technology is widely applied to the fields of business, book management, storage, post and telecommunications, traffic and industrial control and the like due to the advantages of quick, accurate and reliable identification, low cost and the like, and plays a great role in the increasingly rising application of the internet of things.
In the process of decoding the bar code, the bar code is usually scanned by a scanning device to obtain a reflected light signal, or the bar code is photographed by a photographing device to obtain a bar code image, and the reflected light signal or the bar code image is identified to obtain bar code information.
At present, with the rapid development of the express industry, the bar code technology is more and more widely applied to express item identification. Typically, the express items in the express stream are polyhedrons, such as boxes, bags, belts, etc., and the face sheets with one-dimensional or two-dimensional bar code information may be attached to any one face of the express items. When the traditional express mail is processed, the face of each express mail adhered with the face sheet needs to be found manually and aligned to the scanning equipment for bar code recognition, and the method is low in processing speed and recognition efficiency, needs a large amount of manual operation and is not beneficial to automatic express mail processing.
In order to increase the processing speed of the express, express automation equipment is generally adopted in the prior art to process the express. When using the courier automation device to process couriers, the bar code on each courier must be identified to operate according to the properties of the courier. The automatic processing of the express mail can automatically scan multiple surfaces (not the bottom surface) of the express mail, but when the bar code is positioned on the bottom surface of the express mail, the automatic processing of the express mail cannot be realized. To solve the above problems, three methods are generally adopted: firstly, when a express mail is transferred on a conveyor belt, the gesture of the express mail is manually adjusted so that a bar code is exposed at a position which can be scanned by an automatic bar code scanning device; secondly, reserving a gap on a conveyor belt and arranging a bar code scanning device below the gap when the express mail is transferred on the conveyor belt, and solving the scanning problem of the bar code positioned on the bottom surface of the express mail through the bar code scanning device arranged below the gap; thirdly, scanning all surfaces of the express item simultaneously through automatic six-surface scanning equipment.
The above treatment methods have the defects that: the gesture is manually adjusted, so that the processing speed is reduced, and a large amount of manual operation is required, so that automatic express processing is not facilitated; the gap below the conveyor belt is adopted for scanning, and a complete assembly line is required to be split into multiple sections, so that the cost of equipment is increased; the automated six-sided scanning is expensive and inconvenient to use in existing equipment.
Accordingly, it is desirable to provide an automatic identification device and method for a express mail bar code.

Detailed Description
In order to more clearly illustrate the present invention, the present invention will be further described with reference to preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings. Like parts in the drawings are denoted by the same reference numerals. It is to be understood by persons skilled in the art that the following detailed description is illustrative and not restrictive, and that this invention is not limited to the details given herein.
In express mail identification, the bar codes which are widely used at present include one-dimensional bar codes and two-dimensional bar codes. One-dimensional bar codes, also known as linear bar codes, are composed of a plurality of "bar" and "space" units arranged in parallel, and bar code information is expressed by means of different widths and positions of the bar and the space. The two-dimensional bar code is composed of specific geometric figures which are distributed in a two-dimensional direction according to a certain rule and are alternately arranged in black and white, and can express information in the two-dimensional direction. The two-dimensional bar codes may be classified into determinant two-dimensional bar codes and matrix two-dimensional bar codes. The determinant two-dimensional bar Code roommates are stacked with a plurality of rows of truncated one-dimensional bar codes, and representative two-dimensional bar codes include PDF417, code49, code16K, and the like. The determinant two-dimensional bar code information representation method is similar to the one-dimensional bar code, and is expressed by means of different widths and positions of bars and spaces. The Matrix type two-dimensional bar code consists of black and white modules distributed in a Matrix according to the rules of fish holes, and representative Matrix type two-dimensional bar codes comprise QR codes, data Matrix codes, maxi codes, chinese letter codes and the like.
As shown in fig. 1, in the prior art, a fast part 1 is placed on a conveyor belt 2, and when the fast part moves along the direction of the conveyor belt, a multi-surface bar code scanning device above the conveyor belt performs bar code recognition and scanning on a non-bottom surface of the device. At this time, if the bar code is located on the bottom surface 3 of the express mail, scanning cannot be completed, so that the express mail needs to be manually adjusted to ensure that the bar code is not located on the bottom surface of the express mail. This manual adjustment affects the efficiency of bar code scanning and wastes labor costs.
On this basis, as shown in fig. 2, in order to achieve a full sweep, one possible approach is: a gap 4 is reserved below the assembly line, and a bar code scanning device 5 is arranged below the gap. When the express item 1 moves through the gap 4 along the direction of the conveyor belt, the bar code scanning device 5 arranged below the gap 4 scans the bottom surface 3 of the express item so as to realize the comprehensive scanning of all the surfaces of the express item. Although the identification mode can realize comprehensive scanning, a complete assembly line is required to be split into at least two parts, so that the complexity of the equipment is improved, and the cost of the equipment is increased.
In the embodiment of the invention, the bottom surface and the non-bottom surface of the express mail are distinguished, and different recognition modes are adopted for different surfaces, so that the problem that the bottom surface of the express mail on the conveyor belt cannot be recognized quickly and conveniently is solved through a two-step recognition process; the automatic recognition device has the advantages that the automation degree of the recognition process is improved by the introduction of the manipulator, the detection process of the bar code surface of the express mail by the manipulator is avoided, the complexity of the recognition process is reduced, the automatic recognition device is easy to apply to the existing automatic recognition device, the transformation cost is low, the recognition speed is high, and the automatic recognition process of the bar code of the express mail is optimized.
In one embodiment of the invention, an automatic recognition device of a express mail bar code is provided, and the automatic recognition device comprises a manipulator, a first recognition unit, a judgment unit and a second recognition unit, wherein the manipulator is used for grabbing express mail and exposing a first surface of the express mail and placing the express mail on a conveyor belt by taking the first surface as the bottom surface of the express mail; the first recognition unit is used for recognizing a first bar code on the first surface of the express mail; the judging unit is used for judging whether the first bar code identification is finished or not; and the second recognition unit is used for carrying out second bar code recognition on the bottom surface of the express mail when the judgment unit judges that the first bar code recognition is not finished. Wherein the bottom surface and the non-bottom surface together comprise an outer surface of the widget.
In the embodiment, the bottom surface and the non-bottom surface of the express mail are distinguished, different identification modes are adopted for different surfaces, and the problem that the bottom surface of the express mail on the conveyor belt cannot be identified quickly and conveniently is solved through a two-step identification process; the automatic recognition device has the advantages that the automation degree of the recognition process is improved by the introduction of the manipulator, the detection process of the bar code surface of the express mail by the manipulator is avoided, the complexity of the recognition process is reduced, the automatic recognition device is easy to apply to the existing automatic recognition device, the transformation cost is low, the recognition speed is high, and the automatic recognition process of the bar code of the express mail is optimized.
In a preferred embodiment, the first recognition unit is a single-sided barcode scanning device arranged in the opposite direction of the manipulator for directly scanning the first side of the express item for first barcode recognition. The first surface of the express mail is identified by the mechanical arm, so that the problem that the bottom surface is difficult to identify when the express mail is placed on the conveyor belt is solved, the identification efficiency is improved relative to manual identification, and the identification process is simplified because the device for identifying the surface of the express mail by judging the surface of the express mail first without judging the surface of the express mail.
In a preferred embodiment, the first identification unit is arranged on the same side of the manipulator as the single-sided bar code scanning device; the automatic identification device further comprises a bar code reflecting device arranged in the opposite direction of the manipulator, and the first identification unit carries out first bar code identification on the first surface through the bar code reflecting device. On the basis of the bar code recognition of the first face of the express mail by the manipulator, the bar code is reflected by the bar code reflecting device, and the reflected bar code is received by the single-face bar code scanning device arranged on the manipulator, so that the first bar code recognition of the first face is realized. Compared with the recognition device provided with single-sided bar code scanning equipment in the opposite direction of the manipulator, the bar code reflecting device in the device can enlarge the effective scanning and recognition area of bar codes, reduce the moving distance of the manipulator and improve the recognition efficiency.
In a preferred embodiment, the barcode reflecting means is a flat mirror. The plane mirror is used as a bar code reflecting device, so that the effective scanning and identifying area of bar codes can be enlarged, and meanwhile, the plane mirror is low in cost and easy to install and adjust.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3, there is provided an automatic recognition method of a express mail bar code, the method comprising:
step S1: the robot grips the express item and exposes a first face of the express item.
Step S2: and carrying out first bar code identification on the first surface.
Step S3: the manipulator takes the first surface as the bottom surface of the express mail to place the express mail on the conveyor belt.
Step S4: judging whether the first bar code identification is finished or not, if not, carrying out second bar code identification on the non-bottom surface of the express mail by using multi-surface bar code scanning equipment arranged above the conveyor belt, wherein the bottom surface and the non-bottom surface jointly form the outer surface of the express mail.
In this embodiment, the first surface may be any surface of the express item. It should be understood that in real life, the shape of the express item is not limited to hexahedron, and the object to be processed is often a polyhedron with irregular shape, such as an envelope, a soft-packed PE bag of clothes, etc., and for simplicity, the full-face scanning device is generally referred to as a six-face scanning device.
As shown in fig. 4, in one embodiment, a single-sided barcode scanning device 5 is disposed opposite the robot 6 for first barcode recognition of the first side 3.
In the embodiment, the first surface of the express mail is identified by the mechanical arm, so that the problem that the bottom surface is difficult to identify when the express mail is placed on the conveyor belt is solved, the identification efficiency is improved relative to manual identification, and the identification process is simplified compared with the method that the mechanical arm firstly judges the surface where the bar code exists and then carries out identification without judging the surface where the bar code exists.
As shown in fig. 5, in another embodiment, a single-sided barcode scanning device 5 is disposed on a manipulator 6, and a barcode reflecting device 7 is disposed in a direction opposite to the manipulator 6, where the single-sided barcode scanning device performs first barcode recognition on the first surface 3 through the barcode reflecting device.
In this embodiment, on the basis that the manipulator performs bar code recognition on the first face of the express mail, the bar code is reflected by the bar code reflecting device, and the reflected bar code is received by the single-sided bar code scanning device arranged on the manipulator, so that the first bar code recognition on the first face is realized. Compared with the identification method that the single-sided bar code scanning equipment is arranged in the opposite direction of the manipulator, the bar code reflecting device in the method can enlarge the effective scanning and identification area of the bar code, reduce the moving distance of the manipulator and improve the identification efficiency.
In this embodiment, for example, the barcode reflecting device is a plane mirror. The plane mirror is used as a bar code reflecting device, so that the effective scanning and identifying area of bar codes can be enlarged, and meanwhile, the plane mirror is low in cost and easy to install and adjust.
It should be understood that in order to further expand the barcode scanning area, the barcode scanning device may not be limited to a flat mirror, such as a curved mirror, and correspondingly, a corresponding adjustment should be made during the barcode recognition process.
In yet another embodiment, as shown in fig. 6, if the first barcode identification is judged to be completed, an identification result is generated and stored based on the first barcode identification, and automatic identification of the express barcode is completed.
In this embodiment, if the barcode of the express mail is located on the bottom surface of the express mail, the automatic identification of the barcode of the express mail can be completed only through the first barcode identification, the subsequent identification process is not needed, the identification process is simplified, and meanwhile, after the first barcode identification is completed, the express mail can be directly placed at a preset position through a manipulator, so that the unification of barcode identification and express mail classification is realized.
In yet another embodiment, the recognition result is generated and saved based on the second barcode recognition, completing the automatic recognition of the express barcode.
In this embodiment, if the barcode of the express mail is not located on the bottom surface of the express mail, the automatic identification of the barcode of the express mail needs to be completed through the second barcode identification. Unlike available technology, the present invention has no need of judging the bar code position, and the automatic recognition of the express bar code may be realized in two recognition steps, and this reduces the complexity of the recognition process and raises the recognition efficiency and automation degree.
In the embodiment of the invention, the first bar code identification and the second bar code identification are respectively carried out by distinguishing the bottom surface and the non-bottom surface of the express mail, so that the accurate scanning of the bar code when the bar code is positioned on the bottom surface of the express mail can be ensured, the redundant bar code identification is avoided after the scanning is finished, the working procedures are saved, and the identification efficiency is improved.
In yet another embodiment, as shown in fig. 7, the first barcode recognition is judged to be completed, the multi-sided barcode scanning device performs the second barcode recognition on the non-bottom surface of the express mail, generates and saves the recognition result based on the first barcode recognition and the second barcode recognition, and completes the automatic recognition of the barcode of the express mail.
In practice, it is possible that at least one bar code is attached to the express item of a portion of the commodity. In this embodiment, for the case that at least one surface of the same express item has a bar code, the first bar code identification can be performed first, and the second bar code identification is performed continuously regardless of whether the first bar code identification has a bar code, so that the identification of both the bottom surface and the non-bottom surface of the express item is ensured.
Further, in this embodiment, as shown in fig. 8, for a express mail with a barcode on only one side, after the barcode is identified on the bottom surface of the express mail, the barcode is identified on the non-bottom surface of the express mail, and the recognition results of two times are comprehensively analyzed and processed, and only if one barcode is successfully identified in two barcode scans, the express mail is judged to finish barcode scanning. Therefore, the accuracy of the identification result can be further improved, the identification accuracy is improved, and the identification error is reduced.
In the above-described embodiment, for example, the multi-sided barcode scanning device is a five-sided barcode recognition device. The quick recognition device can be used for quickly recognizing the express mail on the conveying belt, so that all non-bottom surfaces of the express mail can be recognized at one time, and the bar code recognition efficiency is improved.
It should be understood that the second barcode recognition in the embodiments of the present invention is not limited to the five-sided barcode recognition device, and may be a multi-sided barcode recognition device in the prior art, and similarly, the second barcode recognition is not limited to the one-time barcode recognition on the non-bottom surface, and the recognition process may be repeated.
In the embodiment of the application, in order to ensure the integrity of the assembly line and save the labor cost, a manipulator is introduced to operate the express. It should be noted that, although a manipulator is introduced to operate the express item in the present application, it does not replace the manual operation adjustment portion in the prior art with mechanical adjustment, but an improvement of the overall recognition method, in particular: the manual adjustment needs to manually confirm which surface of the express mail the bar code is specifically positioned on, and the gesture of the express mail is adjusted so that the bar code is not positioned on the bottom surface; in contrast, when the manipulator operates the express mail, the manipulator does not need to identify which surface of the express mail the bar code is actually positioned on, namely, the recognition process of the bar code is omitted, so that the automation degree of the recognition process is improved, the detection process of the bar code surface of the express mail by the manipulator is avoided, the complexity of the recognition process is reduced, the manipulator is easy to apply to the existing automatic recognition equipment, the transformation cost is low, the recognition speed is high, and the automatic recognition process of the bar code of the express mail is optimized.
The manipulator in the embodiment of the invention is an automatic operation device which can simulate certain action functions of a human hand and an arm and is used for grabbing and carrying objects or operating tools according to a fixed program. The method is characterized in that various expected operations can be completed through programming, and the method has the advantages of both human and manipulator machines in terms of construction and performance. It should be noted that the present invention does not distinguish between a robot, a robot arm, a mechanical arm, and other devices having the same function.
The terms "first," "second," and the like in the description and in the claims and in the above-described figures, are used for distinguishing between different objects and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. Furthermore, the terms "comprise" and "have," as well as any variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion. For example, a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not limited to only those listed steps or elements but may alternatively include other steps or elements not listed or may alternatively include steps or elements of gas inherent to such process, method, or apparatus.
