Description

Short message sending and charging method and equipment
Technical Field
The embodiment of the invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a method and equipment for sending and charging a short message.
Background
Currently, an Online Charging System (OCS) of a mobile communication network adopts global setting, and a Short Message Service Center (SMSC) adopts distributed setting, that is, only one SMSC is needed in the current OCS System, and a plurality of SMSCs are needed to perform information interaction with the OCS.
For example, if the number a sends a short message to the number B through the client, the SMSC receives the short message sent by the number a and sends a charging request of the short message to the OCS system to request the OCS system to charge the short message. After the OCS charges the short message, the charging result is fed back to the SMSC, and the SMSC determines whether to send the short message according to the charging result. If the SMSC determines that the short message can be sent according to the charging result, the SMSC sends the short message to the number B. And if the short message is not successfully transmitted for some reason, for example, a network failure or the number of the number B is a null number, the SMSC generates a failure status report and transmits the failure status report to the OCS system. After receiving the failure status report, the OCS system returns the deducted charge of the short message to the number a, and feeds back the returned result to the SMSC. It can be seen that the SMSC interacts with the OCS system once for each short message transmission, and interacts with the OCS system once again if the short message transmission fails. However, there are only one OCS system and a plurality of SMSCs, and if the OCS system receives too many short message charging requests or failure status reports in a short time, the load of the OCS system is large, which may possibly cause the OCS system to malfunction.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, but not all, embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments that can be obtained by a person skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the present invention without any inventive step belong to the scope of the embodiments of the present invention.
In the embodiment of the invention, the short message service center is used for relaying, storing or forwarding the short message between the base station and the user terminal, so that the equipment with the functions can be used as the short message service center in the embodiment of the invention. For example, a short message service center is an SMSC in a mobile communication system.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the charging system is used for charging a short message sent by a user through a number, so that all devices having these functions can be used as the charging system in the embodiment of the present invention, for example, one charging system is an OCS system in a mobile communication system.
Fig. 1 is a schematic view of an application scenario according to an embodiment of the present invention. The SMSC receives the short message sent by the user and then sends the charging request of the short message to the OCS system, the OCS system charges the short message, the OCS system feeds back the charging result to the SMSC after charging, and the SMSC can send the short message according to the charging result. Specifically, if the available charge of the user is enough to pay the short message, the OCS system deducts the charge of the short message and feeds back the charging result to the SMSC, and the charging result indicates that the SMSC can send the short message, and the SMSC sends the short message after receiving the charging result; if the available charge of the user is not enough to pay the short message, the OCS system also feeds back a charging result to the SMSC, but the charging result indicates that the SMSC cannot send the short message, and the SMSC does not send the short message after receiving the charging result.
If the short message fails to be sent, the SMSC also sends a failure status report to the OCS system, and the OCS system returns the charge of the short message which fails to be sent to the user and feeds back a processing result to the SMSC. Currently, because one OCS system corresponds to a plurality of SMSCs, and charging requests of the SMSCs corresponding to the OCS system all need to be processed by the OCS system, if too many charging requests or failure status reports are received by the OCS system in a short time, the OCS system is burdened too much, cannot process all charging requests or failure status reports in time, and may even cause the OCS system to malfunction.
In view of this, the embodiment of the present invention provides a method for sending and charging short messages, where when a charging request received by an OCS system reaches a certain threshold, the OCS system notifies an SMSC corresponding to the OCS system, the SMSC determines short messages received later, and if the number of short messages of the same number exceeds the certain threshold, the charging request of the short messages is not sent to the OCS system, but a query request is sent to the OCS system to determine whether the available charge of the number is sufficient to send the short messages, and if the available charge of the number is sufficient to send the short messages, the SMSC directly sends the short messages, so that the OCS system is not required to process the charging requests of the short messages one by one, the burden of the OCS system is reduced, and the failure of the OCS system is avoided as much as possible, so that the service can be normally performed.
Referring to fig. 2, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for sending a short message by taking the application scenario shown in fig. 1 as an example, and a flow of the method is described as follows. In the following process, the charging system also charges for the short message.
S10, the SMSC sends a charging request to the OCS system, and the OCS system receives the charging request.
In the embodiment of the invention, if the user wants to send the short message to other users, the short message can not be directly sent to other users, but needs to be sent to the SMSC first. After receiving the short message, the SMSC cannot directly send the short message to other users, but needs to send a charging request to the OCS system to request the OCS system to charge the short message. And after the OCS is successfully charged, sending a charging result to the SMSC, receiving the charging result by the SMSC, and if the charging result indicates that the short message can be sent, sending the short message to other users by the SMSC. Because there is only one OCS system of one operator, but there may be multiple SMSCs, and the charging requests of multiple SMSCs can only be processed by the OCS system, if the number of charging requests received by the OCS system exceeds the number that can be processed by the OCS system within a certain time, the OCS system cannot process the charging requests in time, which may cause the sending of short messages to be out of time, or other errors occur.
S11, the OCS system determines whether the number of received charging requests is greater than a second threshold.
In the embodiment of the present invention, in order to avoid that the OCS system receives too many charging requests to cause a failure of the OCS system, the OCS system may determine whether the number of the received charging requests is greater than a second threshold, where the second threshold may be set according to different situations, for example, set as a maximum value of the charging requests that can be processed by the OCS system within a certain time. It should be noted that the certain time period herein refers to a short period of time, for example, a few seconds or even a few milliseconds, and the specific time value can be set by the operator according to the processing capability of the OCS system.
S12: if the OCS system determines that the number of the received charging requests is greater than the second threshold value, the OCS system sends indication information to the SMSC, and the SMSC receives the indication information.
If the number of charging requests received by the OCS system is less than or equal to the second threshold, the OCS system may continue normal charging, that is, charging is performed according to the charging method in the prior art, which is not described in detail. If the number of the charging requests received by the OCS system is greater than the second threshold, the OCS system sends an indication message to each SMSC interacting with the OCS, and after the SMSC receives the indication message, it can know that the number of the charging requests currently received by the OCS system is greater than the second threshold, the SMSC performs corresponding processing, and a specific processing mode will be introduced in subsequent steps.
S13, SMSC receives M short messages sent by the first number.
A User typically sends a short message via a User Equipment (UE), such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer (PAD), etc., so the initial sender of the short message is shown as the User Equipment in fig. 2. For example, if the user equipment has a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), the first number is the card number of the SIM card.
S14, SMSC judges whether M is larger than the first threshold value.
In the embodiment of the invention, after the SMSC receives the indication information, if the SMSC receives the M short messages sent by the first number, the SMSC does not send the M charging requests to the OCS, but judges whether the number M of the short messages of the first number is larger than a first threshold value and makes corresponding response according to the judgment result. The first threshold value may be set according to different situations, for example, a limit value that does not further increase the burden on the OCS system. It should be noted that the SMSC receives M short messages sent by the first number in a very short time, which may be several seconds or even several milliseconds, for example, that is, it may be considered that M messages sent by the first number are received at the same time.
S15, if the SMSC determines that M is greater than the first threshold, the SMSC sends a query request to the OCS system, and the OCS system receives the query request.
In the embodiment of the invention, if the SMSC judges that the number M of the short messages sent by the first number is greater than the first threshold value, the SMSC does not send the charging requests of the M short messages to the OCS, but sends a query request for determining whether the available charge of the first number is enough to send the M short messages to the OCS.
In the embodiment of the invention, if the SMSC judges that the number M of the short messages sent by the first number is less than or equal to the first threshold value. If M is less than or equal to the first threshold, even if the SMSC sends the charging requests of the M short messages to the OCS system, the OCS system can process the M charging requests, and the OCS system cannot be failed. Therefore, if the SMSC determines that the number M of the short messages sent by the first number is less than or equal to the first threshold, the SMSC processes the short messages according to the processing method in the prior art, that is, the SMSC sends M charging requests to the OCS system to request the OCS system to charge the M short messages. After receiving the M charging requests, the OCS system charges M short messages corresponding to the M charging requests, generates M charging results, and sends the M charging results to the SMSC. After the SMSC receives the M charging results, it can determine whether to send the M short messages according to the M charging results. If any one of the M charges indicates that the short message is already charged and is allowed to be sent, the SMSC may send the short message to the corresponding user, and if any one of the M charges indicates that the available charge of the first account is not enough to send the short message, the SMSC does not send the short message.
S16, the OCS system queries the first number for the available tariff.
After receiving the query request, the OCS system queries the available charge of the first number, and determines whether the available charge of the first number is sufficient to send M short messages. For the OCS system, the OCS system can only process one query request without processing M charging requests, so that the burden of the OCS system is reduced.
Specifically, the available charges for the first number may be divided into two types, depending on the type of subscriber using the first number. The user types include a prepaid user and a postpaid user. The prepayment user needs to recharge to the account of the first number in advance, then deduct the fee according to the use condition of the user, if the balance of the account of the user is zero, the communication service can not be used any more; if the user using the first number is a prepaid user, the available tariff for the first number is the account balance of the first number. The post-paid user has a certain limit of permeable limit, the user can use the communication service through the permeable limit, and then settle the charge according to the use condition, but the communication service can not be continuously used after the permeable limit is exceeded; if the user using the first number is a postpaid user, the available charge of the first number is the difference between the permeable amount and the actual permeable amount of the first number.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the OCS system may determine whether the available tariff of the first number is sufficient to send M short messages. Because the charges of each short message are the same, the number of short messages that can be further sent by the first number can be determined according to the available charge of the first number, and if the number of short messages that can be further sent by the first number is greater than or equal to M, the OCS system can determine that the available charge of the first number is sufficient to send M short messages. If the OCS system determines that the available charge of the first number is sufficient to send M short messages, the OCS system once deducts the charge of the M short messages from the available charge of the first number, and then generates a query result, where the query result includes a result that the OCS system determines whether the available charge of the first number is sufficient to send the M short messages, for example, a bit (bit) may indicate that, if the bit takes the value of "1", it indicates that the available charge of the first number is sufficient to send the M short messages, and if the bit takes the value of "0", it indicates that the available charge of the first number is insufficient to send the M short messages. Alternatively, the query result includes an available tariff for the first number.
S17, after the OCS system generates the query result, the query result is sent to the SMSC.
S18, SMSC determines whether the available tariff for the first number is sufficient for sending M short messages.
The SMSC receives the query result, and the SMSC can determine whether the available charge of the first number is enough to send the M short messages according to the query result. For example, if the query result includes the result that the OCS system determines whether the available charge for the first number is sufficient to send M short messages, the SMS may directly determine whether the available charge for the first number is sufficient to send M short messages according to the query result, or if the query result includes the available charge for the first number, the SMSC may determine whether the available charge for the first number is sufficient to send M short messages according to the available charge for the first number.
And S19, if the SMSC determines that the available charge of the first number is enough to send M short messages, the SMSC sends M short messages.
In the embodiment of the invention, the SMSC determines that the available charge of the first number is enough to send M short messages, and then the SMSC can directly send the M short messages. Because the number M of short messages is generally large, the SMSC may not be able to finish sending the M short messages at one time, and then the SMSC may set a sending task time limit for the M short messages according to the size of the M value, within the sending task time limit, the SMSC may send the M short messages in batches, and the SMSC sends any one of the M short messages without interacting with the OCS system, that is, the number of interactions between the SMSC and the OCS system is reduced, and the burden of the OCS system is also reduced.
In the embodiment of the invention, in order to ensure that the tariff calculation of the first number is accurate, after the SMSC sends the M short messages, the SMSC also determines the number of the short messages which are failed to send, and sends the number of the short messages which are failed to send to the OCS. Specifically, when the SMSC sends M messages, after each successful short message is sent, the SMSC may subtract one short message from M, and the final remaining number is the number of short messages that have failed to be sent. For example, if the number of successfully sent short messages in M short messages is N, N is a positive integer, and N is less than or equal to M, the number of short messages that have failed to be sent, which is determined by the SMSC, is M-N. If N is equal to M, that is, the number of the short messages failed to be sent is zero, the SMSC may not report the number of the short messages failed to be sent to the OCS system any more, and interaction between the SMSC and the OCS system can also be reduced, thereby reducing the burden of the OCS system.
When the OCS system receives the number of the short messages which are sent by the SMSC and failed to be sent, the OCS system can re-account the charge corresponding to the short messages which are sent by the short messages which are failed to be sent into the available charge of the first number. For example, if N short messages failed to be sent are included in the M short messages, the OCS system deducts the charges of the M short messages, and the N short messages failed to be sent do not need to be charged, the charges of the N short messages in the OCS system are added to the available charges of the first number again, so that the charge calculation of the user can be ensured to be accurate.
In the embodiment of the invention, when the OCS system determines that the received charging request is greater than the second threshold value, the OCS system sends the indication information to the SMSC. After receiving the indication information, if the SMSC receives M short messages sent by the first number, the SMSC determines whether M is greater than a first threshold, if M is greater than the first threshold, the SMSC does not send charging requests of the short messages to the OCS system, but determines whether the available charge of the first number is enough to send the short messages, if yes, the SMSC directly sends the short messages, the communication times of the SMSC and the OCS system are reduced, the burden of the OCS system is reduced, the fault of the OCS system is avoided as much as possible, and the service can be normally carried out. .
