技术领域
本发明总的涉及用于管道的联接件(或夹具)和夹环,并且具体地涉及一种用于联接件的密封件,当被向内折叠时,该密封件密封在第一直径的管道上,并且当被向外折叠时,该密封件密封在第二、更大直径的管道上。
背景技术
在本领域中存在许多种类的用于管道的可移除带型联接件。应注意,在本说明书和权利要求书各处,术语“管道”包含任何种类的大致圆筒形物体。
这些联接件具有弹性体密封组件,弹性体密封组件被收紧以对于管道形成水密密封。已知能够用于一系列管道直径的联接件。通常,这些密封组件具有两层衬垫(密封件),例如由第一环密封件坐落在第二环密封件上构成。密封件能够容易地彼此脱离,以允许密封在不同直径的管道上。对于较小直径的管道,使用第一环密封件和第二环密封件两者;对于较大直径,仅使用一个密封件。
发明内容

根据本发明的实施例,密封件的可折叠部和另一部分包括匹配部(例如至少部分环状的脊和沟槽),匹配部在向内折叠构造中彼此匹配。
根据本发明的实施例,密封件的另一部分由外部构件折叠在内部构件上而构造,以便限定在内部构件和外部构件之间并且由内部构件和外部构件界定的至少一个内部环状空间。
根据本发明的实施例,在向内折叠构造中,存在彼此不匹配而是被间隙彼此分离的密封件的可折叠部和另一部分的表面,并且间隙与匹配部流体连通。间隙可用于插入手指,以抓握和移动密封件的可折叠部。

现在参考图1A和1B,图1A和1B示出根据本发明的非限制性实施例构造和操作的具有密封件12的管道联接件10。
管道联接件10包括夹具外壳14,夹具外壳14具有一个或多个端部16(在所示实施例中示出两个)。夹具外壳14可以是圆筒形的或者部分圆筒形的,或者是任何其它形状。端部16设置有两个相对的夹具构件18以及一个或多个收紧元件20,所述一个或多个收紧元件20用于在横向于夹具外壳14的轴向长度的方向上朝着彼此收紧夹具构件18,以便在被夹紧在夹具外壳14中的管道22(在图1A中以虚线部分地示出)上施加径向向内的夹紧力。

不受限制地,密封件12可由与管道中输运的流体相容的橡胶(例如EPDM橡胶(三元乙丙橡胶)、丁基橡胶、苯乙烯丁二烯或氯丁橡胶)或热塑性弹性体(例如聚氨酯或烯烃)制成。例如,不受限制地,密封件12可由具有70-80邵氏A硬度的EPDM橡胶制成。
在一个实施例中,可折叠部24位于密封件12的轴向端部处,但是可位于密封件上的其它位置处。
现在参考图3A-3B。根据本发明的实施例,在向内折叠构造中,可折叠部24折叠在密封件12的从可折叠部24径向偏移的另一部分26上(例如,部分26被示出为从可折叠部24径向向外,但是作为代替,可径向向内)。可折叠部24和另一部分26可包括匹配部,匹配部在向内折叠构造中彼此匹配。例如,匹配部可包括至少部分环状的脊28和至少部分环状的沟槽30。当处于向内折叠构造时,匹配部帮助将可折叠部24维持到位。
可折叠部24可铰接地附接至密封件12的另一部分26。部分24和26可以是一体构造,或者可替选地,可折叠部24可诸如通过粘合、机械紧固或者任何其它适当的方法接合至另一部分26。
在所示实施例中,密封件12的另一部分26由外部构件32折叠在内部构件34上而构造,以便限定处于内部构件34和外部构件32之间并且由内部构件34和外部构件32界定的至少一个内部环状空间36。如本领域中已知的,进入内部环状空间36(诸如经由在密封件的侧壁中形成的未示出的孔口)的任何流体都在内部环状空间36中施加压力,以提高密封件12在管道上的收紧。
在所示实施例中,如在图3B的向内折叠构造中所见,分别存在密封件的可折叠部和另一部分的表面38和40,其彼此不匹配,而是由间隙42彼此分离。间隙42与匹配部流体连通,由此允许流体流动到匹配部,并且在匹配部中施加压力,从而产生液压力,以提高密封件12在管道上的收紧。间隙可用于将手指插入,以抓握和移动密封件的可折叠部。

Claims (7)

1.一种管道联接件,包括:
夹具外壳,所述夹具外壳包括至少一个端部,所述至少一个端部具有两个相对的夹具构件以及一个或多个收紧元件,所述一个或多个收紧元件用于在横向于所述夹具外壳的轴向长度的方向上朝着彼此收紧所述夹具构件,以便在被夹紧在所述夹具外壳中的管道上施加径向向内的夹紧力;和
至少部分环状的密封件,所述密封件被安装在所述夹具外壳的所述至少一个端部中,所述密封件具有:向内折叠构造,在所述向内折叠构造中所述密封件的可折叠部向内折叠以形成第一内径;以及向外折叠构造,在所述向外折叠构造中所述密封件的所述可折叠部向外展开以形成第二内径,所述第二内径大于所述第一内径。
2.根据权利要求1所述的管道联接件,其中所述可折叠部位于所述密封件的轴向端部处。
3.根据权利要求1所述的管道联接件,其中在所述向内折叠构造中,所述可折叠部被折叠在所述密封件的从所述可折叠部径向偏移的另一部分上。
4.根据权利要求3所述的管道联接件,其中所述密封件的所述可折叠部和所述另一部分包括匹配部,所述匹配部在所述向内折叠构造中彼此匹配。
5.根据权利要求3所述的管道联接件,其中所述密封件的所述另一部分由外部构件折叠在内部构件上而构造,以便限定位于所述内部构件和所述外部构件之间并且由所述内部构件和所述外部构件界定的至少一个内部环状空间。
6.根据权利要求4所述的管道联接件,其中所述匹配部包括匹配的至少部分环状的脊和至少部分环状的沟槽。
7.根据权利要求4所述的管道联接件,其中在所述向内折叠构造中,存在彼此不匹配而是被间隙彼此分离的所述密封件的所述可折叠部和所述另一部分的表面,并且所述间隙与所述匹配部流体连通。
