Description

Household appliance with wall embossing
Technical Field
The invention relates to a household appliance having a cabinet-shaped housing comprising a plurality of walls, wherein at least one wall of the plurality of walls has an arrangement of embossments. The invention relates in particular to a household appliance for treating laundry, such as a washing machine, a drying machine or a washer-dryer.
Background
The cabinet-like housing essentially has at least one drive motor which, in particular in the case of a washing machine, generates vibrations in a wall which is essentially composed of sheet metal or plastic during operation. The vibrations generated bring about a series of disadvantages and, in addition, generate undesirable noise. In order to reduce said drawbacks, the side walls of the washing machine are in particular provided with reinforcements.
A household appliance having a plurality of walls is known from publication WO 2010/066653 a1, wherein at least one wall has an arrangement of impressions, wherein the arrangement of impressions comprises a first impression arranged concentrically with respect to the wall center, which is annular in top view, a second impression arranged outside and substantially concentrically with respect to the first impression, which is annular in top view, and at least one strip-shaped third impression arranged outside the second impression. Although the vibration behavior can be improved by the annular first stamp, the concentrically arranged annular second stamp and the strip-shaped third stamp arranged outside the second stamp, the vibration of the flat surface of the wall is too great.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art and to provide a cabinet-like household appliance which is provided with an improved housing.
According to one aspect of the invention, this object is achieved by a household appliance having a cabinet-shaped housing, which comprises a plurality of walls, wherein at least one wall of the plurality of walls has an arrangement of impressions, wherein the arrangement of impressions comprises an annular impression in a plan view of the wall, which has a center point of the annular impression, wherein a rotational axis of a cylinder body is arranged in an interior space of the cabinet-shaped housing, wherein the center point of the annular impression is arranged offset from the rotational axis of the cylinder body. The technical advantage achieved thereby is, for example, that additional improvements in rigidity or modal characteristics are achieved by the offset embossing. This reduces the risk of collision of the vibration system during operation and the risk of possible transport damage of the household appliance. The reason for this may be that in the case of a washing machine the drive or the motor is arranged in the lower region of the cabinet-like housing of the washing machine. The vibrations generated by the drive device within the domestic appliance can thus be reduced particularly effectively by arranging at least two impressions arranged parallel to one another, while the annular impressions achieve an optimal and space-saving arrangement of the drum in the lye container.
In order to make use of the provided, usually rectangularly configured surface of the side wall of the household appliance as good as possible, at least two impressions arranged parallel to one another are arranged outside the annular impression and are configured in strip form. Furthermore, the at least two embossing sections arranged parallel to one another may also be of arcuate configuration. This configuration provides a particularly advantageous and effective damping of vibrations caused by the drive device.
In order to control or effectively reduce the vibration behavior of a household appliance, in particular a washing machine, having a rapid rotation and a rapid dehydration program, the arrangement of the embossing comprises a further annular embossing which is arranged concentrically to the annular embossing. Both the first annular embossing and the further annular embossing can be of circular and elliptical design.
According to a preferred embodiment, the plurality of walls has a front wall, a rear wall, an upper side and a lower side and two side walls, and at least one of the side walls has an arrangement of embossments. A technical advantage achieved thereby is that, for example, the arrangement of the stamp can be arranged in principle on each wall of the domestic appliance. In this case, in particular not only the side walls, front wall, rear wall but also the upper or lower side are provided with an arrangement of impressions. This makes it possible to achieve not only an effective reduction of vibrations of the operating household appliance, but also an aesthetic consideration. In particular an arrangement in which both side walls have an embossing.
Since, in particular in the case of a washing machine, at least one motor or drive is located in the lower region of the household appliance, two impressions arranged parallel to one another are arranged below the annular impression in a direction extending from the annular impression to the underside of the household appliance. The generation of vibrations caused by the drive device can be effectively taken into account in the lower region of the domestic appliance in that the impressions arranged parallel to one another are arranged directly on the wall in the vicinity of the drive device generating the vibrations.
Preferably, at least one of the side walls has an arrangement of embossments. Or the two side walls have an arrangement of impressions, the axis of rotation of the cylinder body being arranged at the level of the non-embossed surface enclosed by the annular impressions. In particular, the height of the axis of rotation has a distance from a center point of the annular embossing, wherein the annular embossing has a radius, wherein the distance is smaller than the radius. The radius represents the distance between the center point of the annular stamp and the edge of the annular stamp facing the center point. The axis of rotation is in particular located at a level below the center point of the annular embossing.
In order to overcome the already mentioned risk of collision of the vibration system during operation and the possible risk of transport damage, the center point of the annular embossing is arranged above the wall center in a direction extending from the wall center to the upper side of the household appliance. This is of particular importance in the case where the side walls do not have a generally square configuration but rather a generally rectangular configuration. An additional advantage is that the axis of rotation or the drum can be arranged at a height above the centre of the wall.
If the household appliance has a vibration system comprising a cylinder body, the height position of this side wall or of the annular embossing of these side walls can be adapted in particular to the structural characteristics of the vibration system components. The vibration system component is, for example, a lye container or a drum body arranged in a lye container. The lye container can in particular have a weld seam, the height position of the annular indentation or of the center point of the annular indentation being adapted to the height position of the weld seam. When the maximum amplitude of the vibration system is at the level of the unembossed region of the side wall surrounded by the annular embossing, the risk of the vibration system hitting the side wall during operation is reduced.
In order to make the best possible use of the available surface of the generally rectangular wall, a strip-shaped third embossing is formed in the arrangement of the embossing, which is arranged outside the annular embossing. Furthermore, this improves the damping properties of the side walls or additionally increases the stiffness and the modal properties of the household appliance as a whole. It is particularly effective if the third embossing of the strip-shaped arrangement is realized in an arcuate configuration. Alternatively, however, it is also conceivable for the third embossing in the form of a strip to be designed linearly, rectangularly, sickle-shaped or in any other conceivable manner.
In order to achieve a particularly effective surface utilization, in particular in the case of rectangularly configured lateral surfaces, and thus a particularly effective damping characteristic of the side walls, a strip-shaped third embossing is arranged opposite the at least two embossing arranged parallel to one another with respect to the annular embossing.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the embossing is formed by an arch. The arches can be oriented inward in a particularly advantageous manner, but they can also be arranged or configured to be arched outward. The configuration of the embossing in the form of an inwardly or outwardly oriented arch proves to be particularly stable, wherein the arch enables a simple and cost-effective production process of the side wall, without having to take into account limitations in general with regard to the efficiency of the damping or the stability of the household appliance.
