The packaging device has a supply device for a film web and a wrapping device for mounting a surrounding film covering on a press packet held between a plurality of press heads, the supply device and the wrapping device forming a spatial and moving unit and being arranged together on a conveying device. The packaging device tensions the curtain-like film and places it as a belly band laterally around the press bag.
EP0528892B1 discloses a variant of such a packaging unit, which comprises a supply unit and a covering unit of different design.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to provide an improved packaging technique.
The invention achieves this object by means of a packaging device for highly compacted press bales on a bale press, having a supply device for a web-shaped packaging material and a wrapping device for mounting an annularly encircling covering on a free side surface of the press bale held between a plurality of press heads, wherein the wrapping device is arranged movably relative to the press bale by means of a conveying mechanism and is spatially and movably separated from the wrapping device, wherein the supply device is arranged stationary and has a receptacle for a web reserve of packaging material, which is designed as a web roll, and at least one further receptacle for a standby web roll, which wrapping device has a variable web store for the packaging material. The invention is also achieved by a bale press for highly compacted pressed bales, having a wrapping device with a supply device for a web-shaped wrapping material and a wrapping device for mounting a surrounding casing web on the pressed bale held between pressing heads, characterized in that the wrapping device is constructed according to the invention. The invention also achieves this object by means of a method for packaging highly compacted pressed bales on a bale press by means of a packaging unit, wherein the wrapping unit is moved relative to the pressed bale by means of a conveying device and the wrapping unit mounts an endless wrap web made of a web-shaped packaging material on a free side surface of the pressed bale held between pressing heads, wherein the web-shaped packaging material is fed to the wrapping unit by a supply unit which is arranged spatially and kinematically separately from the wrapping unit, wherein the supply unit is arranged stationary and has a receptacle for a web reserve of packaging material which is designed as a material web and at least one further receptacle for a backup material web which is temporarily stored in a variable web store of the wrapping unit. The advantages of the proposed packaging technique, in particular the packaging device and the packaging method, are increased efficiency and improved safety.
The supply device can be arranged at a distance from the press bale or the bale press by spatial separation and thus outside a safe area on the bale press. This allows the replacement or replenishment of the packaging material, in particular of the mass or roll of material, without having to disturb or stop the baler for safety reasons.
The supply device may be arranged stationary, which facilitates access, handling and changing of the packaging material, in particular the material rolls. The reserve capacity can be significantly increased in this case. There is sufficient space for the standby roll. The diameter and weight of the roll and the reserve roll can be significantly greater than in the prior art at the outset. Furthermore, the connection of the belt ends can be made considerably easier and faster at the time of a roll change.
Further advantages are the space saving and the weight saving on the conveying means, which still only have to convey the cladding means. Furthermore, this may lead to an improvement in the acceleration and the operating speed of the conveying means, which likewise has the effect of increasing the power. Furthermore, improved possibilities for positioning one or more additional devices, for example a clamping device, on the conveying device are advantageous.
The proposed packaging technique is particularly suitable for high-power balers. Here, the bale press can also be divided into a prepressing region and a main pressing region. Furthermore, the proposed packaging technique can be supplemented with the mounting of additional packaging means, such as expansion caps. Furthermore, there is the possibility of mounting an upper and/or lower cover film on the bale press, which can be achieved during the compacting process.

Detailed Description
The invention relates to a packing device 2 and a packing method for highly compacted pressed bales 3 on a bale press 1. The invention also relates to a baler equipped with a wrapping device 2.
The press bag 3 is made of textile fibers, in particular natural fibers or synthetic fibers, and is subsequently packaged with the packaging device 2.
Fig. 1 shows a side view of a bale press 1, which is designed, for example, as a vertical press and has a filling region and, if appropriate, a prepressing region and a pressing region or main pressing region. It may be a rotary press as shown in fig. 1, which has a filling and prepressing area on the left and a compacting area on the right.
Fig. 10 likewise shows, in a perspective view from the other side, the rotary press 1 in an interrupted view, which comprises a rotary table, an underlying press head 31 and a press packet 3.
The baler 1 has a high compression capacity. The bale press can be designed, for example, according to WO 2012/101250 a1 and has two parallel feed shafts for filling one or more press boxes 4. In the compacting box 4, the compacting pack 3 can be compacted under high pressure between the upper and lower pressing heads 31. The bale press 1 is assigned a wrapping device 2 with which the pressed bale 3 pressed and held between the press rams 31 is wrapped after removal of the press box 4.
By means of which the compact packet 3 is obtained a packet wrapper 5 which covers several or all sides of the compact packet 3 and which is at least partially composed of a strip-shaped wrapper 8. The pack wrapper 5 of the pack is formed at least by an annular cover band 7 of packaging material 8, also referred to as a belly band, which is applied around the lateral pack surface 32. The pack wrapper surrounds and covers the lateral pack surfaces 32 which are freely between the press heads and are accessible. Additionally, a cover film 6 may be mounted on the upper and/or lower side of the compact 3.
The mounting of such a cover film 6 can be carried out, for example, according to EP 0528893B 1 by introducing the film blank onto the press ram 31 before the bale is pressed and subsequently by wrapping and applying the cover film 6 on the side of the press bale 3. One or more cover films 6 may optionally be dispensed with.
The packaging device 2 has a supply device 9 for a web-shaped packaging material 8 and a wrapping device 10 for attaching an annular cover web 7 to the press packs 3 held between the press rams 31. The web-shaped packaging material 8 is preferably designed as a flexurally elastic film web made of a plastic material, for example polyethylene or polypropylene. Alternatively, the web packaging material can also consist of other materials, for example a metal material or a composite material.
The film strip and the cover film 7 are present and described in the examples explained below. The film web and the cover film can accordingly also be adapted to other web-shaped packaging materials 8, material webs, curtain webs and cover webs 7.
The covering device 10 is arranged movably with respect to the press bale 3 and with respect to the stationary bale press 1 by means of a conveying device 20 shown in fig. 1. The supply device 9 is arranged spatially and kinematically separately from the coating device 10. The supply device 9 is preferably arranged stationary.
The supply device 9 has at least one receptacle 12 for a supply 11 of packaging material 8. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the tape supply 11 is designed as a material web or as a material roll, with the receptacle 12 being designed as a rotatable roll receptacle for unwinding the material roll. The supply device 9 has, in the exemplary embodiment shown, two roll holders 12 for the material roll 11 in the operating position and for the material roll 11 standing by in the ready position. The receptacle 12 is arranged on a support 14, on which a controllable and driven transport device 16, for example a drive roller, is also arranged, which serves for pulling out and transporting the material web of the packaging material 8. Means for connecting the strip ends during a roll change can also be provided in the region of the receptacle 12.
The receptacle 12 is arranged at a spatial distance from the press bale 3 and, if appropriate, from the bale press 1 and is preferably arranged stationary. A tape guide 13 is provided for guiding the packaging material 8 from the storage portion 12 to the wrapping device 10. The belt guide spans the distance from the held press packet 3 and has a guide arm 15 for the packaging material 8 which is raised and arranged above the held press packet 3 and the wrapping device 10. A support and guide device 33 (e.g., a freely rotatable roller) and, if necessary, a transport mechanism 16 can be arranged on the guide arm 15. The tape guide 13, in particular the guide arm 15, is on the one hand an integral part of the support 14 or is arranged thereon and on the other hand has a connection at the front free end for fastening to a support of the bale press 1, in particular to a clamping frame 17. On this free end there may also be a diverting roller 33 for the packaging material 8. The film strip 8 is guided from the stationary free end to the inlet 29 of the movable coating device 10.
The material roll 11 is arranged flat, in particular horizontally, and the packaging material 8 pulled out then also assumes a flat position on the preferably horizontally oriented guide arm 15. In this position, the wrapping material is fed to the wrapping device 10. The raised arrangement of the guide arms 15 and the packaging material 8 in this region leaves a lateral passage on the bale press 1 to the held press bale 3. This channel can be used on the one hand for manual actuation or other manual work on the press bag 3. On the other hand, a removal device (not shown) or another automatic device for handling the packs can also be provided here. The conveying means 20 can likewise be moved from this passage region into the rest position and release the passage.
The wrapping device 10 has a variable strip storage 23 for the guided packaging material 8. The running movement of the conveying device 20 and the guiding of the packaging material 8 by the supply device 9 can thereby be aligned with one another, so that the packaging material 8 can be conveyed reliably with a low load. This applies in particular if: as in the exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 1, the direction of travel of the conveying device 20 during application of the covering film 7 is opposite to the direction of guidance of the packaging material 8.
The tape store 23 receives, for example, the film tape length required for the associated housing film region and is emptied during the application of the housing film 7. This is achieved during the forward movement of the enrobing apparatus 10 and its delivery mechanism 20. During this movement, the supply device 9 can replenish the transport of the packaging material 8, which is reloaded into the tape store 23 during the backward movement.
The belt store 23 is in the preferred embodiment designed as a controllable jumper 24, which comprises tensioning rollers 25, 26 for the packaging material 8, which rollers are adjustable relative to one another. Fig. 5 shows this arrangement in cross-section and in a direction seen from above. In the jumper 24, a plurality of tensioning circuits of the web packaging material 8 are formed between stationary tensioning rollers 25 and movable tensioning rollers 26 arranged on controllable tensioning carriages.
On the inlet side, a web deflection device 22 is connected upstream of a web store 23, in particular a dancer 24, by means of which the film web 8 fed flat is rotated through 90 ° into an upright position, by means of which the covering film 7 is laid around the compression packet 3. The tensioning rollers 25, 26 likewise have an upright position. The belt deflection device 22 can be realized, for example, via an inclined and rounded guide rail as shown in fig. 3. Above the belt deflecting device 22, an inlet 29 of the wrapping device 10 is provided with deflecting rollers which tube the web-shaped packaging material 8 from the front end of the guide arm 15. Fig. 1 and 4 show such an arrangement.
The wrapping device 10 can likewise have a controllable and driven transport mechanism 27 for the web-shaped packaging material 8. On the outlet side of the belt store 23, in particular of the jump 24, the packaging material 8 is guided in a loop to a deflecting roller on the rear support arm and from there back to the outlet 30 of the wrapping device 10, where the packaging material 8 is discharged in the direction of the pressed bale 3 in accordance with fig. 2 and 3. According to fig. 5, the outlet opening 30 can be movable transversely to the press bag 3 and has a slide which can be moved out in a controlled manner and is driven, for example, by a cylinder, and which comprises upright guide rollers.
As shown in fig. 3, the coating device 10 can tension a curtain-like film 21 which extends transversely over the held press packet 3 and its rear end face and which is then laid in a U-shape around the held press packet 3 in the running movement of the coating device 10 and closed in a loop on the other front end face. For this purpose, the cladding device 10 has a separating and welding device 28, which is arranged on or in the vicinity of a movable outlet opening 30. A separating and welding device 28 can be provided to be able to feed the press bale 3, for example on a carriage of a discharge opening 30.
The separating and welding device 28 closes the covering film 7 formed by means of the curtain film 21 on the end face and at the same time separates the covering film 7 from the supplied packaging material 8. The separating and welding device simultaneously connects, in particular welds, the ends of the covering film 7 to one another. At the same time, the free ends of the supplied packaging material 8 formed during the separation process are also connected to one another here, at which point the closed curtain-like film 21 is formed again. After removing the press bale 3 provided with the covering film 7 from the bale press 1, the wrapping device 10 can be moved back into the starting position shown in fig. 1.
The cladding device 10 can be embodied in different ways in terms of construction. The cladding device can be designed in particular as one piece or as multiple pieces.
In the embodiment shown, the multi-part wrapping device 10 has two feeders 18, 19 which are arranged on both sides of the press bale 3 and of the bale press 1 and each of which has a conveying device 20 of its own and which is embodied, for example, as a carriage. The feeders 18, 19 in this case each have the above-described design of the coating device 10, i.e. comprise a belt deflection 22, a belt store 23 and a transport mechanism 27, wherein the curtain-like film 21 is tensioned between synchronously moving feeders 18, 19 arranged opposite one another in mirror image and in a synchronized manner. Fig. 3 shows such an arrangement. The separating and welding device 28 can be assigned in whole or in part to one or both of the feeders 18, 19.
The welding device 28 is constructed in any suitable manner. The welding device may work with a heating block or heating wire with a higher temperature, which is suitable for PE (polyethylene) films, for example. For temperature-sensitive PP (polypropylene) films, in particular so-called narrow-band films, the welding device 28 can be operated with ultrasound. The separating and welding device 28 can be designed and operated structurally in a corresponding manner to one of EP0294820B1 and/or EP0528892B 1.
These two feeding devices 18, 19 are also each connected to a respective feeding device 9 of the type described above, so that the packaging material 8 is fed on both sides of the press bale 3 or of the bale press 1.
In a further variant of the packaging device 2, which is not shown, a single and one-sided arrangement of the supply device 9 connected to a single wrapping device 10 can be provided, wherein only one strip 8 of packaging material is fed to the wrapping device 10 on one pack side by the stationary supply device 9. The wrapping device can be multi-part and is constructed, for example, according to EP0528892B1, wherein a film pull-in is provided on one bag side and a laterally displaceable film arm is provided on the other bag side, and the film pull-in and the film arm are each located on a transport device 20.
The embodiments shown and described can be varied in different ways. This relates to the structural design and arrangement of the supply device 9 and the covering device 10 and of the bale press 1. In particular, the features of the above-described embodiments and their variants can also be combined and interchanged in any way.
The pack 5 of packs or the pressed packs 3 provided with the covering film 7 can then be supplemented with an expansion hood or another packaging means.
The bale press 1 can have another design. The bale press can be designed, for example, as a horizontal press and have a vertically oriented press head. The packaging unit 2 is correspondingly designed and arranged in a manner adapted thereto.
