Description

Packaging device for a cosmetic product, in particular a lipstick
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a packaging device for a cosmetic product, in particular a lipstick.
More specifically, the invention relates to a packaging device for a cosmetic product, in particular a lipstick, comprising at least one base with a mass of cosmetic product and a lid connected to the base by hinge means defining an axis of rotation, wherein the lid is mounted so as to be movable with respect to the base at least between:
an open position in which the lid surrounds the base to enable the block of cosmetic product to be accessed, an
-a closed position in which the lid covers the base to protect the mass of cosmetic product.
Background
Examples of such cosmetic devices for packaging cosmetic products, in particular lipsticks, are known from the prior art.
Document FR-2, 563, 711 describes an exemplary solution of a packaging device comprising a removable lid attached to a base by fastening, for example by screwing or elastic nesting.
In contrast to this design, the packaging device comprises a lid which is continuously connected to the base while remaining rotatable relative to the base between an open position and a closed position, respectively.
Document FR-2, 259, 560 describes an exemplary solution of such a packaging device, the cover of which is hinged with respect to the base about a rotation axis arranged at the centre of the device having a substantially disc shape.
In case this type of packaging device cannot be fixed in place, the lid and the base are movable relative to each other, in particular about the axis of rotation of the hinge means.
In particular, there is a risk of untimely movement occurring in either the opening or closing direction. However, involuntary opening may for example result in damage to the block, just as involuntary closing of the device cannot occur during application of the cosmetic product.
This is why solutions are particularly sought to eliminate any movement between the cover and the base of the device, and more specifically to immobilize the cover and the base, both in the open position and in the closed position.
Indeed, on this type of device, it can sometimes be seen that there is a "judder" of the lid with respect to the base in the closed position and/or in the open position. However, it will be appreciated that such judder causes the user to have a negative perception of the quality of the manufacture of the product.
However, it is also sometimes important for the device to remain comfortable and easy to operate for the user when opening and closing. The user holds the lid, for example, with only one of her hands, and then holds the base of the device with the tab in her other hand to move the base relative to the lid between the open and closed positions.
Advantageously, therefore, in order to facilitate the opening and closing of the lid of the device, the user cannot encounter any "hard spot" that would require her excessive effort.
However, a solution has been sought which enables a simple and reliable fixation between the cover and the base of the device. In particular, this solution makes it possible to avoid any movement, for example opening the device untimely when it is transported in a bag, or starting any closure of the device when it is used to apply the cosmetic product.
The object of the present invention is therefore to propose a solution that solves the above-mentioned drawbacks by improving a packaging device for cosmetic products of this type and to provide a solution that is reliable while remaining simple and cost-effective to manufacture.
Disclosure of Invention
To this end, the invention proposes a packaging device of the type previously described, characterized in that it comprises at least blocking means for fixing the lid in the open position and/or in the closed position and/or auxiliary means for facilitating the opening and/or closing operation.
Advantageously, the device comprises blocking means associated with the auxiliary means, the combination of which on the one hand enables perfect fixation of the lid, preferably in each of the open and closed positions, and on the other hand enables easy opening and closing operations of the device.
Thanks to the blocking means, any trembling or untimely movement phenomena of the lid with respect to the base in the open position and in the closed position are avoided, without any "hard spots" being created, since the auxiliary means abutting against the blocking means intervene, so that the force required to open the lid being fixed is reduced, and this facilitates the opening and closing operations of the device by the user.
According to other features of the invention:
the blocking means comprise at least one projection configured to fix the position of the cover with respect to the base;
the blocking means comprise at least one projection which intervenes in the open position to fix the lid with respect to the base;
the blocking means comprise at least one projection which intervenes in the closed position to fix the lid with respect to the base;
the auxiliary device is configured to reduce the force required during the operation of fixing the lid in the open position and/or in the closed position;
the auxiliary device comprises at least one ramp to facilitate the opening and/or closing operation;
the auxiliary device comprises at least one ramp facilitating opening;
the auxiliary device comprises at least one bevel facilitating the closing;
an auxiliary opening ramp is arranged at one end of the lid and an auxiliary closing ramp is arranged at the other end;
the device has a base and a cover, each in the general shape of a flat half-ellipsoid of revolution;
the hinge means are arranged at the centre of the device;
the cover comprises a flat portion defining a flat support surface capable of resting the device on a plane, whether the cover is in the open position or in the closed position;
the device comprises a support member for the mass of cosmetic product, which is mounted so as to be fixed to the base.

Detailed Description
In the following description, we will assume, without limitation, a longitudinal orientation, a vertical orientation and a transverse orientation with reference to the trihedron (L, V, T) shown in the figures.
The vertical orientation is used as a geometric reference independent of the direction of gravitational pull.
Conventionally, the longitudinal orientation and the transverse orientation are determined in a fixed manner with respect to the base of the packaging device, so that the open position or the closed position of the lid has no influence on said orientations.
We will also use the terms "front" and "rear" with reference to the machine direction orientation, without limitation, and the terms "upper" and "lower" or "top" and "bottom" with reference to the vertical orientation, and finally the terms "left" and "right" with reference to the lateral orientation.
In general, the terms "inner" or "outer" and "inner" or "outer" will also be used with respect to the device, and more specifically with respect to the base and the lid, to refer to elements located on the inside or outside of the base or lid.
Fig. 1 to 3 and the following show an exemplary embodiment of a device 10 for packaging a cosmetic product.
The packaging device 10 comprises at least one base 12 intended to receive a block 14 of cosmetic product.
In particular, but not exclusively, the apparatus 10 is arranged for the application of lipstick or lip balm.
However, the device 10 can also be used for packaging any other type of cosmetic product that can be used in solid or pasty form, i.e. not diffused in open air.
As shown in particular in fig. 4 and 15, the mass 14 of cosmetic product is substantially plate-shaped, unlike the typical bar shape of a lipstick or lipstick.
In either the right or left side view, the block 14 of product is generally trapezoidal (trapazoidal), with the block 14 flattened in the transverse direction to form a plate.
The block 14 of product comprises in the transverse direction an application face 18 on both sides (right and left, respectively).
The block 14 of cosmetic product has the shape of a bevel, i.e. the width oriented in the transverse direction is smaller at its free end than at its base.
In the case of a lipstick or lip balm, the application of the cosmetic product is obtained by inserting the block 14 between the upper and lower lips, then closing the lips on the block 14 to grip the block so that each lip comes into contact with one of the application surfaces 18.
The packaging device 10 comprises at least one lid 20 connected to a base by hinge means 22.
The hinge means 22 of the lid 20 define, with respect to the base 12, an axis of rotation a extending transversely to the trihedron (L, V, T) shown in the figures.
The base 12 and the lid 20 are mounted for rotation relative to each other at least between a closed position and an open position, particularly shown in fig. 1 and 3, respectively.
In the following description, with respect to the open and closed positions of the device 10, when the rotational movements of the cover 20 and the base 12 between said positions are relative, said movements can be indifferently a rotational movement of the cover 20 with respect to the base 12, considered as a fixed reference point, or conversely a rotational movement of the base 12 with respect to the cover 20, considered as a fixed reference point.
In an exemplary embodiment, the closed position corresponds to a position of the device 10 in which the lid 20 covers the base 12 to protect the block 14 of cosmetic product, and the open position corresponds to a position of the device 10 in which the lid 20 surrounds the base 12 to enable the block 14 of cosmetic product to be accessed.
The hinge 22 includes at least two slots 24 (right and left slots 24, respectively) disposed laterally through the lid 20.
The hinge device 22 includes two trunnions 26 (a right trunnion 26 and a left trunnion 26, respectively) which are fixed to the base 12 and protrude in the lateral direction.
Each trunnion 26 supported by the base 12 is intended to be inserted vertically into one of the slots 24 of the lid 20 to form the hinge assembly 22.
In the exemplary embodiment, the hinge 22 is disposed generally at the center of the apparatus 10, rather than at one of the longitudinal ends of the apparatus.
Hinge assemblies 22 are disposed longitudinally between the front and rear ends of base 12 and the front and rear ends of cover 20, respectively.
To form the hinge 22, the lid 20 is forcibly fitted over the base 12 so that each trunnion 26 is inserted into the slot 24.
In fact, each slot 24 includes a narrower section intended to ensure that the trunnions 26 are held at the bottom of the slot 24 after assembly, whereby the lid 20 and base 12 are securely assembled to each other.
Each trunnion 26 includes a flat head 28 at its free end that is larger in diameter than the trunnion 26 to block the cover 20 laterally with respect to the base 12.
The base 12 and the lid 20 each have complementary shapes so as to be able to become interconnected, in particular in the open position.
As shown in fig. 1-3, the base 12 is generally in the shape of a half-ellipsoid of revolution (or spheroid) flattened in the transverse direction.
The cap 20 also has a similar general shape, i.e., a shape having half a spheroid (or ellipsoid of revolution) flattened in the transverse direction.
However, in the exemplary embodiment, base 12 has a height in the vertical direction measured from axis of rotation a that is less than the height of cover 20, which is determined, for example, by the size of block 14.
In the closed position shown in fig. 1, the block 14 of cosmetic product is received inside a cover 20 that covers the base 12, so that the cover 20 can subsequently protect the block 14 of cosmetic product, particularly when used to transport the block.
In the open position shown in fig. 3, all or part of the base 12 is received inside the lid 20 to provide access to the block 14 of cosmetic product, particularly when the cosmetic product is in use.
In the exemplary embodiment, base 12 has a height that is less than the height of cover 20, and device 10 has no symmetry in the closed position with respect to a plane defined by the lateral and longitudinal orientations of the trihedron (L, V, T) and passing through axis of rotation a.
In general, efforts are also made to optimize the dimensions of such packaging units 10, so that the transport of the packaging units is facilitated due to the smaller volume.
Preferably, the base 12 includes a longitudinally extending handle 30 projecting at one of its ends.
The handle 30 is intended to facilitate the opening and closing operations of the packaging device 10.
Preferably, the handle 30 is integrally formed with the base 12.
Advantageously, the base 12 and/or the lid 20 are made by moulding.
Preferably, the base 12 and/or the lid 20 are made of a plastic, for example selected from the group comprising acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABC), polypropylene (PP) or styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN).
In the exemplary embodiment, base 12 is made of polypropylene (PP) and lid 20 is a copolymer.
Advantageously, the lid 20 is made wholly or partly of transparent plastic material to allow visual contact with the block 14 of cosmetic product, in particular to check its colour.
For applying a cosmetic product as previously explained, such as a lipstick or a lip balm, the user may for example operate as follows.
The lid 20 is held, for example, between the fingers of one hand of the user, and the opening operation is completed by gripping the handle 30 with the fingers of the other hand of her to move the base 12 relative to the lid 20 to rotate the base about the axis a defined by the hinge 22.
Accordingly, the base 12 is rotationally moved along arrow "O" shown in fig. 2 from the closed position shown in fig. 1, or is rotated in the clockwise direction on the right side of fig. 2.
During the opening operation, the base 20 passes through an intermediate position shown in fig. 2 and then reaches an open position shown in fig. 3, in which at least a portion of the base 12 is received inside the lid 20 in the open position shown in fig. 3.
In the open and closed positions, handle 30 of base 12 protrudes relative to lid 20, thereby allowing manipulation of base 12 relative to lid 20 for opening and closing of packaging apparatus 10.
In the open position, one of the ends of the lid 20 abuts against the lower surface of the handle 30 of the base 12.
By proceeding in the opposite direction to the opening operation described above to achieve the closing operation, the device 10 is in the open position as shown in fig. 3, and the base 12 is moved by the handle 30 in the opposite direction relative to arrow "O" or in the counterclockwise direction until the closed position shown in fig. 1 is reached.
As previously explained, the movement of the base 12 relative to the lid 20 is relative; opening of the device 10 may also be performed by holding the base 12 with the handle 30 and rotating the lid 20, and then closing the lid 20 by rotating it in the opposite direction in the same manner.
In the closed position, the cosmetic mass 14 is received inside the lid 20 just covering the base 12.
In the exemplary embodiment, cover 20 includes an outer surface 32 that is generally in the shape of a flat, semi-ellipsoid of revolution (or spheroid) and an elliptical lower edge 34.
Preferably, the outer surface 32 of the lid 20 includes a flat 36 that forms a flat bearing surface 38.
Advantageously, the flat support surface 38 enables the device 10 to be placed "upright" on the plane P, i.e. in a "vertical position" according to the force of gravity, which here differs from the vertical orientation of the trihedron (L, V, T).
As shown in fig. 1-3, the flat 36 disposed in the cover 20 enables the apparatus 10 to sit upright on the flat support surface 38 in both the closed and open positions of the apparatus 10.
As a non-limiting example, plane P is constituted by a plane of exhibits for selling cosmetic product packaging apparatus 10.
In an exemplary embodiment, the device 10 comprises a support member 40 for the mass 14 of cosmetic product.
Advantageously, the support member 40 is an intermediate member separate from the base 12. In an alternative embodiment not shown, the mass 14 of cosmetic product is directly supported by the base 12.
The support member 40 is intended to be mounted and secured to the base 12 including the internal cavity 42.
As shown in fig. 4, the support member 40 includes an upper portion 44 forming a plate having a shape complementary to the base 12 and a lower portion 46 forming a vertically extending skirt.
The inner cavity 42 of the base 12 comprises support means 48, here formed by four feet, intended to cooperate with the inner side of the skirt 46 to position, in particular, the support element 40.
The support member 40 includes at least one vertically upwardly extending core 50 projecting from the upper portion 44. The core 50 is intended to be wrapped by the block 14 of cosmetic product.
The core 50 is configured to hold the mass 14 of cosmetic product, in particular with respect to a traction force applied vertically upwards according to a trihedron (L, V, T) during the application of the cosmetic product.
The core 50 comprises, for example, a longitudinally oriented, here rectilinear, streak 52 forming a means for holding the mass 14 of cosmetic product.
The support member 40 comprises at least one opening 54 to allow the mass 14 of cosmetic product to be moulded by hot casting.
The support member 40 is associated with a mould (not shown) which assumes the shape of the block 14 of cosmetic product shown in figure 4.
In a known manner, the cosmetic product is hot-poured into the mould through said opening 54 arranged on the back with respect to the description of fig. 4 (i.e. introduced into the mould through the part 40) or vertically towards the bottom.
In an alternative embodiment, not shown, the opening 54 is removed and the hot pouring of the cosmetic product is carried out from the top of the mould fixed to the support member 40.
The skirt 46 of the support member 40 is intended to be at least partially inserted into the cavity 42 of the base 12.
Preferably, fastening means are provided to securely fasten the support member 40 and the base 12 together.
In the exemplary embodiment, skirt 46 includes at least one projecting flange 56 at all times laterally, flange 56 being received in a complementary recess 58 disposed on the side of the interior side of cavity 42 of base 12.
The support member 40 has a complementary shaped profile with respect to the base 12, which in particular comprises an upper edge 60 having a generally elliptical shape.
The support member 40 includes a tail 62 at one lateral end that is received in a complementary manner in the handle 30 of the base 12.
Opposite the tail portion 62, the support member 40 includes a peripheral edge 64 at an end longitudinally opposite the tail portion 62.
After the component 40 is installed inside the cavity 42 of the base 12, the peripheral edge 64 extends vertically slightly beyond the corresponding end portion 66 of the upper edge 60 of the base 12.
Fig. 7 shows a perspective view of the base 12 in isolation, more particularly showing the portion 66 longitudinally at the end opposite the end including the handle 30.
Fig. 5 and 6 show the lid 20 in more detail, the lid 20 including inwardly a housing 68 in which at least a portion of the base 12 is received in an open position and in which the block 14 of cosmetic product is received in a closed position.
The device 10 comprises at least blocking means for securing the lid 20 and the base 12 in the open position and/or in the closed position.
The blocking means serves to fix the lid 20 in position relative to the base 12 such that the lid 20, thus blocked, is not free to move. The device 10 can then be transported in a bag with the lid in the closed position, or the device 10 can be used with the lid in the open position, without the risk of untimely movement of the advantageously secured lid.
Preferably, the lid 20 is fixed in each of said positions (open and closed position, respectively) by blocking means.
Due to the blocking means, the lid 20 is fixed in the occupied position (open or closed), so that when it is desired to operate the lid 20 in order to move it between the open and closed position, the user has to apply a force to overcome the fixing force of the blocking means.
The device 10 comprises auxiliary means to facilitate the opening and/or closing operation.
The assist means serves to reduce the force required to achieve opening (unblocking) during opening and/or closing operations, thereby facilitating user manipulation of the lid 20.
According to the invention, the device 10 comprises blocking means associated with the auxiliary means, the combination of which on the one hand enables perfect fixing of the lid 20 in the open position and/or in the closed position, and on the other hand enables easy opening and/or closing operations of the device 10.
In the following, we will describe the blocking device in relation to the auxiliary device according to an exemplary embodiment and as illustrated by fig. 5 to 8 and 9 to 11.
The blocking means comprise at least first blocking means which intervene in the closed position to fix the lid 20 with respect to the base 12 of the device 10.
The first blocking means comprise at least one projection 70 which intervenes in the closed position, as shown in figure 9, to fix the lid 20 with respect to the base 12.
In an exemplary embodiment, the protrusion 70 is located on the inside of the lid 20. The cover 20 locally comprises a thickened thickness "e" in order to obtain a projection 70 intended to cooperate with the base 12 in the closed position, and more specifically here with a portion 72 of the support member 40.
A thickened thickness "e" forming a protuberance 70 is arranged at the longitudinal end of the cap 20, the protuberance coming into contact, in the closed position, with a portion 72 of the support member of the mass 14 of cosmetic product, fixed to the base 12.
Preferably, the portion 72 of the support member 40 projects and includes at least one boss extending longitudinally from the upper portion 44 of the member 40, projecting relative to the peripheral edge 64 and the vertically oriented skirt 46.
As shown in fig. 9, the cooperation between the projection 70 and the boss 72 forming the first blocking means enables securing of the lid 20 and the base 12 in the closed position to be obtained.
In practice, it may then be necessary, for example, to exert sufficient force on lid 20 while holding (holding) base 12 so that projections 70 of lid 20 pass through bosses 72 in opposite directions until the lid is secured in the closed position.
The lid 20 is fixed in the closed position with respect to the base 12, thanks to the intervention of the first blocking means when the device 10 is in the closed position; thus, the risk of any untimely movement between the lid 20 and the base 12 is eliminated.
However, although these first blocking means intervene in the closed position, it is important that the opening of the device 10 is still easy for the user.
Advantageously, the device 10 comprises auxiliary means for opening the device 10.
The means to assist in opening the device 10 includes at least one ramp 74 to assist in opening the device 10 from the closed position. The ramp 74 is supported by the lid 20 and abuts the protrusion 70.
As illustrated by fig. 5 and 6, the auxiliary ramp 74 for opening the device 10 is in fact arranged longitudinally with respect to the end of the lid 20 comprising the projection 70 forming the first blocking means in the closed position.
In the closed position, the lid 20 is fixed with respect to the base 12 thanks to the projections 70, which ensures the blocking of the lid, but during the opening operation, the ramps 74 enable a quick opening to be obtained, which occurs after a short stroke, preventing the user from any "hard-spot" sensation.
As shown particularly in fig. 10, the edge 60 of the base 12 includes a recess 75 at the upper edge of the portion 66 to dispose a gap "j" between the inside of the lid 20 and the base 12 during opening and closing operations of the device 10.
Advantageously, the recess 75 makes it possible to avoid any interference between the base 12 and the lid 20, in particular between the portion 66 of the base 12 and the portion of the lid 20 in which the flat 36 is produced to form the flat bearing surface 38.
The blocking means comprise at least second blocking means which intervene in the open position of the device 10 to fix the lid 20 and the base 12.
In the exemplary embodiment, second blocking means includes at least one protrusion 76 supported by base 12.
The boss 76 is formed of a thickened thickness "E" disposed in the base 12. As shown in fig. 7 and 8, a projection 76 is disposed at the portion 66, the projection 76 extending longitudinally from the portion 66 toward the outside of the base 12.
Advantageously, the projection 76 interferes with the open position to fix the lid 20 with respect to the base 12, said projection 76 cooperating with the inside of the lid 20 occupying said open position.
More specifically and as shown by fig. 11, the projection 76 is in contact with a portion of the inner surface of the cover 20 that is located longitudinally opposite the end of the cover 20 that includes the projection 70 and the ramp 74.
The device 10 comprises at least auxiliary means for closing the device 10.
The assist means for closing the device 10 includes at least one ramp 78 to assist in closing the device 10 from the open position.
A ramp 78 is disposed on the inside of the lid 20 proximate the portion of the interior surface and the protrusion 76 engages the inside of the lid to secure the lid 20 in the open position.
As shown in fig. 5 and 6, a ramp 78, which assists in closing the device 10, is disposed longitudinally at one end of the lid 12 opposite the other end that specifically includes the ramp 74 to assist in opening.
In the open position, the other end of the lid 20, in particular comprising a ramp 74 for assisting opening, abuts against the handle 30.
Advantageously, the edge 34 of the lid 20 comprises, at this end, a notch 80 having a shape complementary to the lower surface of the handle 30.
In the open position, the lid 20 is secured, on the one hand, by the projection 76 engaging with the inside of the lid 20 at one end and, on the other hand, by said notch 80 at the other end abutting against the handle 30 of the base 12.
However, the ramp 78 makes it possible to obtain a quick opening during the closing operation, which occurs after a short stroke, preventing the user from having any "hard spot" feeling.
Due to the blocking means, any movement of the lid 20 in the open and closed positions with respect to the base 12 is avoided, but no "hard spots" are created, since the opening and closing is facilitated by the intervention of auxiliary means.
In the exemplary embodiment described above, the packaging device 10 comprises blocking means formed by at least the projection 76, which fixes the lid 20 in the open position with respect to the base 12, and the projection 70, which fixes the lid 20 in the closed position with respect to the base 12, respectively.
Preferably, the blocking means are configured to secure the lid 20 and the base 12 in the open and closed positions, respectively.
The blocking means are associated with auxiliary means formed by a ramp 74 facilitating the opening operation and a ramp 78 facilitating the closing operation of the device 10, respectively.
Advantageously, the assistance means formed by at least one ramp 74, 78 makes it possible to reduce the force applied during the opening and/or closing operation to overcome the fixing force of the blocking means which, by friction, ensure the fixing of the lid 20 and of the base 12 in the open and/or closed position.
In this embodiment, the securing of the lid 20 in position is in fact caused by the cooperation between complementary parts configured to form said friction blocking means.
Advantageously, the blocking means and the relative auxiliary means are distributed on the ends of the various parts of the device 10, i.e. on the end of the cover 20 and on the end of the base 12 or of the support member 40, respectively.
The invention is open to industrial applications in the field of packaging cosmetic products.
The packaging device 10 for at least one cosmetic product essentially comprises at least one base 12 comprising a mass 14 of cosmetic product, and a lid 20.
The packaging device 10 comprises a hinge means 22, which hinge means 22 defines an axis of rotation a and connects the base 12 and the lid 20, the base 12 and the lid 20 being mounted movable with respect to each other at least between an open position and a closed position.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in the figures, the open position enabling the block 14 of cosmetic product to be accessed corresponds to a position of the cover 20 around the base 12 in which the cover is arranged outside the base 12.
The device 10 according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises at least blocking means 70, 76 to secure the lid 20 in the open position and/or in the closed position, and auxiliary means 74, 78 to reduce the force required when opening the lid secured in the open and/or closed position, to facilitate the opening and/or closing operation.
However, the exemplary embodiments described above with reference to the drawings are not limiting in any way.
In an alternative embodiment, not shown, the cosmetic product packaging device comprises at least one base and a lid having an inverse arrangement, i.e. wherein, in the open position, the base is arranged outside the lid.
According to this alternative embodiment, the device comprises a support member connected to the base by means of a hinge of the lid. The lid is movably mounted by a hinge and is configured to work between the base and the support member so that it becomes at least partially housed inside the base in the open position.
