Abstract

The invention provides an input device, an input method and an input system, wherein when a deletion action of deleting a plurality of characters is performed by a deletion operation of an operation unit, it is determined whether or not the deletion action deletes a predetermined number of characters or more within a predetermined time, and when it is determined that the deletion action deletes the predetermined number of characters or more within the predetermined time, an input candidate composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deletion action is generated, and the generated input candidate is displayed on a display unit. Thus, when a user deletes a large number of characters quickly and a false deletion occurs, it is possible to generate and display an input candidate for presenting at least a part of the characters deleted by the false deletion to the user so that the user can directly input the characters deleted by the false deletion based on the input candidate. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the repetitive input operation by the user as much as possible and to avoid unnecessary processing load of the input device due to the repetitive input operation by the user as much as possible.

Description

Input device, input method and input system
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an input device, an input method, and an input system, and more particularly, to an input device, an input method, and an input system for a user to input or delete a character.
Background
When a user inputs characters using an input device, it is often necessary to delete the characters that have been input. Typically, the user deletes an already entered character by pressing a delete key of the input device. In the case where the user wishes to delete a plurality of characters quickly, the deletion key needs to be pressed in a short time by the number of times corresponding to the number of characters to be deleted. However, the number of times the delete key is pressed in this operation is difficult to grasp, and the user often presses the delete key more times than necessary, resulting in erroneous deletion of characters that are not intended to be deleted.
In addition, in some input devices, in the case where the user wishes to delete a plurality of characters quickly, the deletion key may be held for a time corresponding to the number of characters to be deleted, and the input device deletes the corresponding number of characters corresponding to the time for which the deletion key is held. However, the time for holding the delete key in this operation is also difficult to grasp, and the user often holds the delete key too long, resulting in erroneous deletion of characters that are not intended to be deleted.
In the above case, after erroneously deleting a character which is not intended to be deleted, the user has to input the erroneously deleted character again. As a result, not only the input operation amount of the user is increased, but also the processing load of the input apparatus is increased.
In view of this, patent document 1 proposes a character input device in which it is possible to easily input again a desired character in a character string to be deleted by determining whether or not character information input by an input unit matches at least a part of deleted character information stored in a deleted character information storage unit and displaying a part of the deleted character information on a display unit as an input candidate when the character information matches the part of the deleted character information (paragraphs 0013 and 0017 in the specification).
However, according to patent document 1, after erroneously deleting a character which is not intended to be deleted, the user still needs to input a part of the erroneously deleted character again to cause the character input device to display input candidates. Therefore, it is still impossible to avoid the repetitive input operation by the user and to avoid an unnecessary processing load of the input device.

Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above-described problems in the prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide an input device, an input method, and an input system that can avoid repeated input operations by a user and unnecessary processing load of the input device as much as possible when the user erroneously deletes a character that is not originally intended to be deleted.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides an input device for a user to input a character, the input device including an operation unit for accepting an input operation and a deletion operation for the character, and a display unit capable of displaying a character string obtained by the input operation or the deletion operation, the input device further including: a deletion operation determination unit configured to determine whether or not a deletion operation of deleting a plurality of characters is performed within a predetermined time period when the deletion operation by the operation unit is performed; and an input candidate generating unit that generates an input candidate composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deletion behavior when the deletion operation determining unit determines that the deletion behavior deletes a predetermined number of or more characters within a predetermined time period; the display unit displays the input candidates generated by the input candidate generation unit.
As described above, the erroneous deletion by the user often occurs when the user deletes a large number of characters quickly. According to the input device of the present invention, when a user deletes a large number of characters quickly and a false deletion occurs, an input candidate that presents at least a part of the characters deleted by the false deletion can be generated and displayed to the user so that the user can directly input the characters deleted by the false deletion based on the input candidate. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the repetitive input operation by the user as much as possible and to avoid unnecessary processing load of the input device due to the repetitive input operation by the user as much as possible.
The input device may be configured to: when the deletion action includes at least three deletion operations for deleting one character at a time, the deletion operation determination unit calculates an average interval time between deletion operations adjacent in time, and determines that the deletion action deletes a predetermined number of or more characters within a predetermined time period when the average interval time is smaller than a predetermined interval time threshold.
This can be effectively applied to a case where the user performs a plurality of deletion operations by pressing the deletion key of the operation unit a plurality of times, and an appropriate input candidate can be generated for a false deletion that occurs when the user deletes a large number of characters quickly.
The input device may be configured to: the deletion operation determination unit acquires the number of deleted characters deleted by the deletion operation when the deletion operation includes a deletion operation for deleting a plurality of characters at a time, and determines that the deletion operation deletes a predetermined number of characters or more within a predetermined time period when the number of deleted characters is equal to or more than the predetermined number.
This can be effectively applied to a case where a user deletes a plurality of characters by pressing the delete key of the operation unit, and an appropriate input candidate can be generated for a false deletion that occurs when a large number of characters are quickly deleted by the user.
The input device may be configured to: the input candidate generating section generates a plurality of different input candidates composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deleting action, and the display section displays an input candidate list composed of the plurality of different input candidates.
Thus, a plurality of input candidates can be generated for selection by the user, so that repeated input operations by the user can be more effectively avoided, and unnecessary processing load of the input device due to the repeated input operations by the user can be avoided.
The input device may be configured to: when one or more characters deleted last among the plurality of characters deleted in the deletion act are part of characters constituting a word or a idiom, the input candidate generation unit generates an input candidate composed of the deleted part of characters constituting the word or the idiom.
Thus, when the plurality of deleted characters include a part of characters of a word or an idiom, it is determined that the user has a high possibility of deleting the part of characters by mistake, and an input candidate including the part of characters is generated, whereby a more appropriate input candidate can be provided to the user.
The input device may be configured to: in a case where the plurality of characters deleted by the deletion action include one symbol among paired symbols, the input candidate generation section generates an input candidate composed of the one symbol deleted and a character deleted after the one symbol.
In this way, when the plurality of deleted characters include one of the paired symbols, it is determined that the user has a high possibility of erroneously deleting the one symbol and the characters deleted thereafter, and the input candidate composed of the one symbol and the characters deleted thereafter is generated, whereby a more appropriate input candidate can be provided to the user.
The input device may be configured to: in a case where the plurality of characters deleted by the deletion action include one symbol among paired symbols, the input candidate generation section generates the deleted one symbol as an input candidate.
Thus, when the deleted plurality of characters include one symbol of the paired symbols, it is determined that the user needs to input the one symbol again to form the paired symbols, and the one symbol is generated as an input candidate, whereby a more appropriate input candidate can be provided to the user.
The input device may be configured to: when the plurality of characters deleted by the deletion action include punctuation marks, the input candidate generation unit generates input candidates composed of characters deleted after the punctuation marks.
Thus, when the plurality of characters to be deleted include punctuation marks, it is determined that the possibility of erroneous deletion of the character to be deleted after the punctuation mark is high in consideration of a low degree of correlation between the characters to be deleted before and after the punctuation mark, and by generating the corresponding input candidate, it is possible to provide a more appropriate input candidate to the user.
The invention also provides an input method for a user to input characters, which is characterized by comprising the following steps: an operation step of accepting a deletion operation for a character; a deletion operation determination step of, when a deletion operation of deleting a plurality of characters is performed by the deletion operation, determining whether or not the deletion operation deletes a predetermined number of characters or more within a predetermined time; an input candidate generation step of generating an input candidate composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deletion behavior, when it is determined that the deletion behavior deletes a predetermined number of characters or more within a predetermined time period; and a display step of displaying the generated input candidates.
The present invention also provides an input system for a user to input characters, comprising: an operation unit that accepts a deletion operation for a character; a deletion operation determination unit configured to determine whether or not a deletion operation for deleting a plurality of characters is performed within a predetermined time period when the deletion operation deletes a predetermined number of characters or more; an input candidate generation unit that generates an input candidate composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deletion behavior, when it is determined that the deletion behavior deletes a predetermined number of characters or more within a predetermined time period; and a display unit that displays the generated input candidates.
The above various modes of the input device of the present invention can also be applied to the input method and the input system of the present invention, and corresponding technical effects are obtained.

Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, embodiments, and specific examples. The following description is only an example for the convenience of understanding the present invention and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. In the embodiments, the components of the apparatus may be changed, deleted or added according to the actual situation, and the steps of the method may be changed, deleted, added or changed in order according to the actual situation. In the drawings, the size, the direction, and the like are merely illustrative and may be changed according to the actual situation.
(first embodiment)
The first embodiment of the present invention will be specifically explained. First, an input device 1 according to a first embodiment of the present invention will be described. The input device 1 is used for inputting characters by a user, and is used for various devices requiring a user to input characters, such as a personal computer, a tablet terminal, a smart phone, a navigation device of a vehicle, a game machine, and the like, and may be realized as an independent device to be linked with the devices or as the devices. Here, the characters include, for example, characters, numerals, punctuation marks, and the like of various languages such as chinese characters, english alphabets, japanese kana, and chinese characters.
Fig. 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of an input device according to a first embodiment of the present invention, in which arrows indicate the directions of operations or data transmission. As shown in fig. 1, the input device 1 includes an operation unit 11, a display unit 12, a deletion operation determination unit 13, and an input candidate generation unit 14. The following description will be specifically made.
The operation unit 11 is used for accepting an input operation and a deletion operation for characters, and is configured by various operation devices such as a keyboard, a mouse, and a touch-enabled display panel. The operation unit 11 can output data related to an input behavior by the input operation or a deletion behavior by the deletion operation after accepting the input operation or the deletion operation of the character by the user.
The display unit 12 can display a character string obtained by the operation unit 11 receiving an input operation or a deletion operation. The display unit 12 can also display input candidates generated by the input candidate generation unit 14, which will be described later. The display unit 12 is constituted by various display devices such as a liquid crystal display, an organic EL display, and a touch-enabled display screen.
The deletion operation determination unit 13 can receive data relating to a deletion behavior output from the operation unit 11, and when a deletion behavior for deleting a plurality of characters is performed by a deletion operation of the operation unit 11, determines whether or not the deletion behavior deletes a predetermined number of characters or more within a fixed time period. The deletion operation determination unit 13 may be realized, for example, by a processor (control unit) of the input device 1 executing a deletion operation determination program stored in a memory (storage unit), or may be realized by dedicated hardware included in the input device 1.
The "fixed time" is set to a fixed period of time such as 3 seconds, and may be changed as appropriate according to the actual situation of the processing apparatus 1 or the user. For example, the "fixed time" may be set to an appropriate period according to the processing speed, operation setting, and the like of the input device 1. In the case where the processing speed of the input device 1 is high and the deletion operation can be responded to in a short time, the "fixed time" is set to be short. The "fixed time" may be set to an appropriate period according to the operation mode, operation history, and the like of the user. For example, after the past operation history of the user is acquired by user login or the like, if the operation history of the user indicates that the operation speed of the user is fast, the "fixed time" is set to be short.
The "predetermined number" is set to a number of, for example, 5 characters, and may be changed as appropriate according to the actual situation of the processing apparatus 1 or the user. For example, the "predetermined number" may be set to an appropriate number according to the use of the input device 1 or the like. In the case where the input device 1 includes the operation unit 11 (for example, a full-size keyboard) for quickly inputting or deleting a large number of characters, the "predetermined number" is set to be large. The "predetermined number" may be set to an appropriate number according to the operation mode, operation history, and the like of the user. For example, after the past operation history of the user is acquired by user login or the like, if the operation history of the user indicates that the user frequently deletes characters, the "predetermined number" is set to be large.
The input candidate generating unit 14 can receive the determination result of the deletion operation determining unit 13, and when the deletion operation determining unit 13 determines that the deletion action deletes a predetermined number of or more characters within a predetermined time, generates an input candidate composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deletion action. The input candidates generated by the input candidate generating section 14 may be displayed by the display section 12 for the user to refer to and input. The input candidate generation unit 14 may be realized by a processor (control unit) of the input device 1 executing an input candidate generation program stored in a memory (storage unit), or may be realized by dedicated hardware included in the input device 1.
The input candidates are composed of, for example, all the characters deleted in the deletion behavior. Alternatively, the input candidate may be composed of a part of the character which is deleted last in the deletion action. For example, in the case where the number of deleted characters is larger than 5, the number of a part of characters constituting the input candidate is set to 5. However, the number of characters constituting a part of the input candidates may be changed as appropriate according to the actual situation of the processing apparatus 1 or the user. For example, in the case where the input device 1 includes the operation unit 11 (for example, a full-size keyboard) for quickly inputting or deleting a large number of characters, the number of characters constituting a part of input candidates is set to be large.
As described above, the erroneous deletion by the user often occurs when the user deletes a large number of characters quickly. According to the input device 1 of the present embodiment, when a user deletes a large number of characters quickly and an erroneous deletion occurs, it is possible to generate and display an input candidate presenting at least a part of the erroneously deleted characters to the user so that the user can directly input the erroneously deleted characters based on the input candidate. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the repetitive input operation by the user as much as possible and to avoid unnecessary processing load of the input device 1 due to the repetitive input operation by the user as much as possible.
Next, an input method performed by the input device 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described, and a specific example of the present embodiment will be described with reference to the input method. Fig. 2 is a flowchart of an input method of the first embodiment of the present invention. The flow of the input method shown in fig. 2 is executed, for example, each time a delete operation is accepted by the operation unit 11 of the input device 1. Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of a specific example of the first embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 2, first, in step S201 (operation step), the operation unit 11 accepts a deletion operation for a character. As shown in the upper left of fig. 3, the character string "ABCDEFGHIJKLMN" before the deletion operation is displayed in the character display area 301 of the display unit 12. After the operation unit 11 accepts the deletion operation, as shown in the upper right of fig. 3, the character string "ABCD" after the deletion operation is displayed in the character display area 301 of the display unit 12.
Next, in step S202 (deletion operation determination step), the deletion operation determination unit 13 determines whether or not the deletion action has deleted a predetermined number of characters or more within a predetermined time. Here, the fixed time is set to 3 seconds, and the predetermined number is set to 5. The deletion operation determination unit 13 determines that the deletion operation deletes 5 or more characters "EFGHIJKLMN" within 3 seconds, and thus executes step S203. Otherwise, ending the flow if the judgment result is no.
In step S203 (input candidate generation step), the input candidate generation unit 14 generates an input candidate composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deletion behavior. Here, the input candidate is set to be composed of 5 characters deleted last in the deletion action, and thus is "EFGHI".
Next, in step S204 (display step), the display unit 12 displays the generated input candidates. Here, as shown in the lower part of fig. 3, the generated input candidate "EFGHI" is displayed in the input candidate display area 302 near the character display area 301 of the display unit 12 for selection by the user.
For example, when the user selects the input candidate "EFGHI", the input device 1 automatically inputs "EFGHI", and thereby displays the character string "ABCDEFGHI" in the character display area 301 of the display unit 12. In addition, if the user does not select the input candidate "EFGHI", the input apparatus 1 retains the character string "ABCD" after the deletion operation. In this way, by generating and displaying an input candidate that presents at least a part of the erroneously deleted character to the user, the user can directly select and input the erroneously deleted character from the input candidate.
(second embodiment)
The second embodiment of the present invention will be specifically explained. The present embodiment is suitable for a case where the user performs a plurality of times of deletion operations by pressing the deletion key of the operation unit 11 a plurality of times. The following description focuses on differences of the present embodiment from the first embodiment, and the same or similar contents as or to the first embodiment will be omitted in the present embodiment.
The operation unit 11 of the present embodiment includes a dedicated delete key. When the operation unit 11 is configured by a physical device such as a keyboard, the delete key is a physical key such as a "backspace" key of the keyboard, for example. In the case where the operation unit 11 is configured by an operation area displayed on a touchable display panel, the delete key is, for example, a virtual delete key displayed on the display panel.
In the present embodiment, if the operation unit 11 receives one operation of pressing the delete key by the user, the input device 1 deletes the last character in the current character string. Therefore, in the case where the user desires to delete a plurality of characters quickly, the deletion key needs to be pressed in a short time by the number of times corresponding to the number of characters to be deleted. However, the number of times the delete key is pressed in this operation is difficult to grasp, and the user often presses the delete key more times than necessary, resulting in erroneous deletion of characters that are not intended to be deleted.
In order to solve this problem, in the input device 1 of the present embodiment, when the deletion action performed by the user through the deletion operation includes at least three deletion operations for deleting one character at a time, the deletion operation determination unit 13 calculates an average interval time between deletion operations adjacent in time, and when the average interval time is smaller than a predetermined interval time threshold value, determines that the deletion action deletes a predetermined number of or more characters within a certain time. Further, the input candidate generating unit 14 generates an input candidate for display on the display unit 12 based on the determination result.
The "interval time threshold" is set to a predetermined period such as 0.5 second, for example, and may be changed as appropriate according to the actual situation of the processing apparatus 1 or the user. For example, the "interval time threshold" may be set to an appropriate period in accordance with the processing speed, operation setting, and the like of the input apparatus 1. If the processing speed of the input device 1 is high and the deletion operation can be responded to in a short time, the "interval time threshold" is set to be short. The "interval time threshold" may be set to an appropriate period according to the user's operation mode, operation history, and the like. For example, after the past operation history of the user is acquired by user login or the like, if the operation history of the user indicates that the operation speed of the user is fast, the "interval time threshold" is set to be short.
According to the input device 1 of the present embodiment, it is possible to effectively apply to a case where the user performs a plurality of deletion operations by pressing the deletion key of the operation unit 11 a plurality of times, and to generate appropriate input candidates for erroneous deletion by the user due to rapid deletion of a large number of characters.
Next, an input method performed by the input device 1 according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described. Fig. 4 is a flowchart of an input method of a second embodiment of the present invention. The flow of the input method shown in fig. 4 is executed, for example, each time a delete operation is accepted by the operation unit 11 of the input device 1.
First, in step S401, the operation unit 11 accepts a deletion operation for a character. The character string before the deletion operation is set to "ABCDEFG", and the character string after the deletion operation "ABCD" is obtained by a plurality of deletion operations for deleting one character at a time.
Next, in step S402, the deletion operation determination unit 13 determines whether or not at least three deletion operations have been performed to delete one character at a time, based on the data relating to the deletion behavior by the deletion operation output from the operation unit 11. Here, the character "EFG" is deleted by the multiple deletion operation of deleting one character at a time, so that the judgment result is yes, and step S403 is executed next. Otherwise, ending the flow if the judgment result is no.
Next, in step S403, the deletion operation determination section 13 calculates an average time interval between the respective adjacent deletion operations. Here, for example, a timer is started at the first deletion operation (deletion G), a count value is recorded and the timer is restarted at the second deletion operation (deletion F), thereby obtaining time intervals between adjacent deletion operations, and an average time interval is calculated by averaging the obtained plurality of time intervals. Alternatively, a timer may be started at the time of the first deletion operation (deletion G), a count value may be recorded at the time of the deletion operation reaching a predetermined number of times (for example, three times, i.e., deletion E), and the average time interval may be calculated by dividing the count value recorded by the number of time intervals (the number of deleted characters minus 1).
Next, in step S404, the deletion operation determination unit 13 determines whether or not the calculated average time interval is smaller than an interval time threshold. For example, since the calculated average time interval is designed to be 0.3 seconds and the preset interval time threshold is 0.5 seconds, step S405 is executed as a result of the determination. Otherwise, ending the flow if the judgment result is no.
Step S405 and the following step S406 are the same as step S203 and step S204 in fig. 2 of the first embodiment, respectively, and are not repeated herein.
In step S402, the deletion operation determination unit 13 determines whether or not at least three deletion operations are performed to delete one character at a time, but is not limited to three, and may be set to a predetermined number of times, which is four or more, as appropriate. Thus, the input candidates are generated only when the user deletes a large number of characters as quickly as possible, so that erroneous deletion is likely to occur, thereby improving convenience and reducing the processing load of the input device 1.
(third embodiment)
The third embodiment of the present invention will be specifically explained. The present embodiment is suitable for a case where the user presses the delete key of the operation unit 11 to perform a plurality of delete operations. The following description focuses on differences between the first embodiment and the second embodiment, and the same or similar contents as those in the above embodiments will be omitted in this embodiment.
The operation unit 11 of the present embodiment is provided with a dedicated delete key, similar to the second embodiment. In the present embodiment, if the operation unit 11 accepts an operation of pressing the delete key for a certain period of time by the user, the input device 1 deletes the last plural characters of the current character string by the number corresponding to the certain period of time. For example, the input device 1 deletes all of a corresponding number of characters at once after the operation is accepted by the operation unit 11. Alternatively, the input device 1 may delete a plurality of characters one by one at a uniform deletion speed while receiving the above operation from the operation unit 11. Alternatively, the input device 1 may delete a plurality of characters one by one at an increasing deletion speed while accepting the operation from the operation unit 11. However, in this operation, the time for pressing the delete key is difficult to grasp, and the user often presses the delete key too long, resulting in erroneous deletion of characters that are not intended to be deleted.
In order to solve this problem, in the input device 1 of the present embodiment, when the deletion action performed by the user through the deletion operation includes a deletion operation of deleting a plurality of characters at a time, the deletion operation determination unit 13 acquires the number of deleted characters deleted by the deletion action, and when the number of deleted characters is equal to or greater than a predetermined number, determines that the deletion action deletes the predetermined number or more of characters within a certain period of time. Further, the input candidate generating unit 14 generates an input candidate for display on the display unit 12 based on the determination result. The "predetermined number" may be set in the same manner as the "predetermined number" in the first embodiment, and may be, for example, 5 characters or the like, and may be changed as appropriate depending on the actual situation of the processing apparatus 1 or the user.
According to the input device 1 of the present embodiment, it is possible to effectively apply to a case where a user deletes a plurality of characters by pressing the delete key of the operation unit 11, and to generate appropriate input candidates for erroneous deletion by the user due to rapid deletion of a large number of characters.
Next, an input method performed by the input device 1 according to the third embodiment of the present invention will be described. Fig. 5 is a flowchart of an input method of a third embodiment of the present invention. The flow of the input method shown in fig. 5 is executed, for example, each time a delete operation is accepted by the operation unit 11 of the input device 1.
First, in step S501, the operation unit 11 accepts a deletion operation for a character. The character string before the deletion operation is set to "ABCDEFGHIJKLMN", and the character string "ABCD" after the deletion operation is obtained by the deletion operation of pressing the deletion key once.
Next, in step S502, the deletion operation determination unit 13 acquires the number of characters deleted by the deletion action based on the data relating to the deletion action output by the operation unit 11. Here, since the character "EFGHIJKLMN" is deleted by one deletion operation of holding down the deletion key, the number of deleted characters is 10.
Next, in step S503, the deletion operation determination unit 13 determines whether or not the number of the acquired deletion characters is equal to or greater than a predetermined number. Here, since the predetermined number is set to 5, step S504 is executed next as a result of yes determination. Otherwise, ending the flow if the judgment result is no.
Step S504 and the following step S505 are the same as step S203 and step S204 in fig. 2 of the first embodiment, respectively, and are not repeated herein.
In addition, the number of deleted characters is acquired in step S502, and it is determined whether or not the number of deleted characters is equal to or greater than a predetermined number in step S503. However, the time during which the delete key of the operation unit 11 is pressed may be acquired in step S502, and it may be determined whether or not the acquired pressed time is equal to or longer than a predetermined time in step S503. In the case where the delete key is held down in the same input device 1, the holding time and the number of characters deleted are generally in a definite relationship, and therefore the same technical effect can be obtained.
(fourth embodiment)
The fourth embodiment of the present invention will be specifically explained. The present embodiment relates to a case where a plurality of input candidates are generated. The following description focuses on differences of the present embodiment from the first to third embodiments, and the same or similar contents as those of the above embodiments will be omitted in the present embodiment.
The input candidate generating unit 14 of the present embodiment generates a plurality of different input candidates composed of at least a part of the characters deleted in the deletion behavior. Further, the display unit 12 displays an input candidate list composed of a plurality of different input candidates. Here, the plurality of different input candidates include, for example, an input candidate composed of all the characters deleted in the deletion behavior, and at least one input candidate composed of a part of the characters deleted last in the deletion behavior. The number of input candidates constituting the input candidate list is set to, for example, 5, and may be changed as appropriate according to the actual situation of the input apparatus 1 or the user.
According to the input device 1 of the present embodiment, it is possible to generate a plurality of input candidates for selection by the user, thereby making it possible to more effectively avoid repeated input operations by the user and avoid an unnecessary processing load on the input device 1 due to the repeated input operations by the user.
One specific example of the present embodiment is described below. Fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of a specific example of the fourth embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 6, after the user deletes the character string "ABCDEFGHIJKLMN" displayed in the character display area 301 to "ABCD" by the deletion operation, the input candidate generating unit 14 generates an input candidate list composed of five input candidates of "E", "EF", "EFG", "EFGH", and "EFGHI", and displays the input candidate list in the input candidate display area 302 by the display unit 12. After the user selects "EFGH" from the input candidate list, a character string "ABCDEFGH" is displayed in the character display area 301.
Note that the input candidate generating unit 14 may give priority to each of the plurality of input candidates, and the display unit 12 may display the plurality of input candidates in the input candidate list in order according to the priority. The priority may be given, for example, according to the number of characters included in the input candidate, the possibility of erroneous deletion of a character, and the like.
In addition, when the number of input candidates included in the input candidate list is set to be large, the input candidate list may be scrollable by a scroll bar or the like so that the user can select more input candidates by an operation on the input candidate list.
(fifth embodiment)
The fifth embodiment of the present invention will be specifically explained. The present embodiment relates to a case where a plurality of characters to be deleted include a part of characters of a word or an idiom. The following description focuses on differences of the present embodiment from the first to fourth embodiments, and the same or similar contents as those of the above embodiments will be omitted in the present embodiment.
In the present embodiment, when one or more characters deleted last among the plurality of characters deleted in the deletion act are a part of characters constituting a word or a idiom, the input candidate generating unit 14 generates an input candidate composed of the deleted part of characters constituting the word or the idiom, and displays the input candidate on the display unit 12. Here, a word or idiom includes two or more characters, and is a character string that is generally used continuously in various languages such as chinese, english, or japanese.
According to the input device 1 of the present embodiment, when a plurality of characters to be deleted include a part of characters of a word or an idiom, it is determined that there is a high possibility that the user deletes the part of characters by mistake, and an input candidate composed of the part of characters is generated, whereby a more appropriate input candidate can be provided to the user.
One specific example of the present embodiment is described below. Fig. 7 is a schematic diagram showing a specific example of the fifth embodiment of the present invention, and shows a case where two characters deleted last among a plurality of characters deleted are a part of a character "autumn and winter" of a chinese idiom "spring, summer, autumn and winter". As shown in fig. 7, after the user deletes the character strings "spring, summer, autumn, and winter" and "delete" to "spring and summer" displayed in the character display area 301 by the deletion operation, the input candidate generation unit 14 generates "autumn and winter" as the input candidate and displays it in the input candidate display area 302.
Another specific example of the present embodiment will be described. Fig. 8 is a schematic diagram of another specific example of the fifth embodiment of the present invention, and shows a case where three characters deleted last among a plurality of characters deleted are a part of the character "mas" of the english word "Christmas". As shown in fig. 8, after the user deletes the character string "Merry Christmas" displayed in the character display area 301 and "deletion to" Merry Christ "by the deletion operation, the input candidate generating unit 14 generates" mas "as an input candidate and displays the input candidate in the input candidate display area 302.
In this specific example, as shown in fig. 7 and 8, an input candidate list including a plurality of input candidates may be generated as in the fourth embodiment. Here, the input candidates ("autumn and winter", "mas") composed of the deleted part of characters constituting the word or idiom may be preferentially displayed in the input candidate list as input candidates having a high priority. This further improves the convenience of the user in selecting the input candidate.
(sixth embodiment)
The sixth embodiment of the present invention will be specifically explained. The present embodiment relates to a case where a plurality of characters to be deleted include one symbol out of paired symbols. The following description focuses on differences of the present embodiment from the first to fourth embodiments, and the same or similar contents as those of the above embodiments will be omitted in the present embodiment.
In the present embodiment, in the case where the plurality of characters deleted in the deletion act include one symbol among the paired symbols, the input candidate generation portion 14 may generate an input candidate composed of the deleted one symbol and the character deleted after the one symbol for display on the display portion 12. Here, the pair symbols include, for example, punctuation symbols commonly used in pairs of (), "", < >, and the like.
One specific example of the present embodiment is described below. Fig. 9 is a schematic diagram showing a specific example of the sixth embodiment of the present invention, and shows a case where "a plurality of characters to be deleted include paired symbols ()". As shown in fig. 9, after the user deletes the character strings "(ABCDEFG)," delete "and" ABCD "displayed in the character display area 301 by the deletion operation, the input candidate generating unit 14 generates" EFG "as the input candidates and displays the generated input candidates in the input candidate display area 302.
In the present embodiment, when the plurality of characters deleted in the deletion operation include one of the paired symbols, the input candidate generation unit 14 may generate the deleted one of the symbols as an input candidate to be displayed on the display unit 12.
Another specific example of the present embodiment will be described below. Fig. 10 is a schematic diagram of another specific example of the sixth embodiment of the present invention, and shows a case where a plurality of characters to be deleted include "" in the pair symbols (). As shown in fig. 10, the user selects the character strings "(ABCDEFG)," and "delete" (ABCD, and then the input candidate generating unit 14 generates ")" displayed in the character display area 301 as input candidates by a delete operation, and displays the input candidates in the input candidate display area 302.
Thus, when the deleted plurality of characters include one symbol of the paired symbols, it is determined that the user needs to input the one symbol again to form the paired symbols, and the one symbol is generated as an input candidate, whereby a more appropriate input candidate can be provided to the user.
In addition, as shown in fig. 9 and 10, for example, in the present embodiment, an input candidate list including a plurality of input candidates may be generated as in the fourth embodiment. Here, the input candidate "EFG" composed of the deleted one symbol and the character deleted thereafter and/or the deleted one symbol ")" may be preferentially displayed in the input candidate list as the input candidate having the high priority. This further improves the convenience of the user in selecting the input candidate.
(seventh embodiment)
The seventh embodiment of the present invention will be specifically explained. The present embodiment relates to a case where a plurality of characters to be deleted include punctuation marks. The following description focuses on differences of the present embodiment from the first to fourth embodiments, and the same or similar contents as those of the above embodiments will be omitted in the present embodiment.
In the present embodiment, when the plurality of characters deleted in the deletion act include punctuation marks, the input candidate generation unit 14 generates input candidates made up of characters deleted after the punctuation marks, and displays the input candidates on the display unit 12. The punctuation marks include various punctuation marks such as periods and commas used in various languages such as chinese, english, and japanese, and can be used to divide between sentences and words.
According to the input device 1 of the present embodiment, when a plurality of characters to be deleted include punctuation marks, it is determined that the possibility of erroneous deletion of the character to be deleted after the punctuation mark is high in consideration of a low degree of association between the character to be deleted before and the character to be deleted after the punctuation mark, and by generating corresponding input candidates, it is possible to provide more appropriate input candidates to the user.
One specific example of the present embodiment is described below. Fig. 11 is a schematic diagram showing a specific example of the seventh embodiment of the present invention, and shows a case where the chinese character string "spring, summer, autumn, winter, weather" is deleted to "spring and summer". Since commas are included in the plurality of deleted characters "autumn and winter, it is considered that the degree of association between" weather "deleted before a comma and" autumn and winter "deleted after a comma is low, and the degree of association between" autumn and winter "deleted after a comma and the character string" spring and summer "left after deletion is high, and therefore the possibility that" autumn and winter "deleted after a comma is erroneously deleted is high. As shown in fig. 11, after the user deletes the character string "spring, summer, autumn, and winter" and the weather "displayed in the character display area 301 to" spring and summer "by a deletion operation, the input candidate generation unit 14 generates" autumn and winter "as an input candidate and displays it in the input candidate display area 302.
In this specific example, as shown in fig. 11, an input candidate list including a plurality of input candidates may be generated as in the fourth embodiment. Here, an input candidate ("fall and winter") composed of a character deleted after the punctuation mark deleted may be preferentially displayed in the input candidate list as an input candidate with a high priority. This further improves the convenience of the user in selecting the input candidate.
The embodiments and specific examples of the present invention have been described above with reference to the accompanying drawings. The above-described embodiments and specific examples are merely specific examples of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Those skilled in the art can modify the embodiments and specific examples based on the technical idea of the present invention, and various modifications, combinations, and appropriate omissions of the elements can be made, and the embodiments obtained thereby are also included in the scope of the present invention. For example, the above embodiments and specific examples may be combined with each other, and the combined embodiments are also included in the scope of the present invention.
For example, the processing of the deletion operation determination section 13 in the second embodiment (steps S402 to S404 in fig. 4) may be combined with the processing of the deletion operation determination section 13 in the third embodiment (steps S502 to S503 in fig. 5), and the deletion operation determination section 13 may execute the processing of the second embodiment when determining that the deletion operation is performed at least three times for each deletion of one character, and execute the processing of the third embodiment when determining that the deletion operation is performed for a plurality of characters at a time.
For example, the fifth embodiment, the sixth embodiment, and the seventh embodiment may be combined with each other, and when the conditions of two or more embodiments are simultaneously satisfied, an input candidate list including the respective input candidates generated by the input candidate generating unit 14 based on the respective embodiments is generated and displayed on the display unit 12.
In addition, the steps included in the input method according to each of the above embodiments of the present invention can be realized as each part (unit) included in the input system, and the same technical effects can be obtained.
