Abstract
本发明涉及一种数据储存媒体之损坏数据行的筛选方法,所述数据储存媒体包括有多个数据行。所述方法包括下列步骤:a)以多个损坏数据行群组来标注或记录多个损坏数据行,上述损坏数据行系选自于上述数据行,每一损坏数据行群组标注或记录损坏数据行之位置及损坏数据行之数目;b)判断是否有至少一损坏数据行未标注或记录于上述损坏数据行群组,其中,至少一损坏数据行未包含于上述损坏数据行;c)当判断为是时,将任二个相隔P个数据行的损坏数据行标注或记录于上述损坏数据行群组,其中P为正整数;以及d)调整P的数值并执行步骤b。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种数据储存媒体的相关技术,且特别是关于一种数据储存媒体的损坏数据行的筛选方法。
背景技术
数据储存装置,例如是固态硬盘(solid state drive,SSD)、SD记忆卡(securedigital memory card)或闪存碟(U盘)等,主要由控制单元与数据储存媒体所构成,而其中数据储存媒体又是由多个用以储存数据的数据行(column)所构成。
在数据储存装置的制造过程中,难免会生产出次级品,而这些次级品在贩卖给使用者之前,都要先将数据储存媒体中的损坏数据行(bad column)筛选出来并记录在损坏数据行总表中。据此,控制单元在往后的操作中,便不会再对记录的损坏数据行存取数据,进而避免存取的数据发生错误。
然而,旧有的标注或记录方式乃是对损坏数据行一个一个地标注或记录,然而,损坏数据行的标注或记录的数量有其限制(例如最多可标注254个),因此若是数据储存媒体的瑕疵程度较严重,因而具有超过可标注数量的损坏数据行,且可标注的数量也用完时,那么数据储存媒体中尚未标注的损坏数据行便可能消耗错误校正码(error correctingcode,ECC)的校正能力(例如可校正44个比特(bit)),造成原本可以校正的数据无法被适当的校正。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的在提供一种数据储存媒体之损坏数据行的筛选方法,使用此新筛选方法可以将邻近的损坏数据行合并成损坏数据行群组,并以群组的方式来标注,因此在相同的标注数量限制下可标注更多的损坏数据行。
本发明提出一种数据储存媒体之损坏数据行的筛选方法,所述之数据储存媒体包括有多个数据行,而所述之筛选方法包括有下列步骤:a)以多个损坏数据行群组来标注或记录多个损坏数据行,上述损坏数据行系选自于上述数据行,每一损坏数据行群组标注或记录损坏数据行之位置及损坏数据行之数目;b)判断是否有至少一损坏数据行未标注或记录于上述损坏数据行群组,其中,至少一损坏数据行未包含于上述损坏数据行;c)当判断为是时,将任二个相隔P个数据行的损坏数据行标注或记录于上述损坏数据行群组,其中P为正整数;以及d)调整P的数值并执行步骤b。
本发明之筛选方法系将邻近的损坏数据行合并成损坏数据行群组,并以群组的方式来标注,因此在相同的标注数量限制下可标注更多的损坏数据行。
上述说明仅是本发明技术方案的概述,为了能够更清楚了解本发明的技术手段,而可依照说明书的内容予以实施,并且为了让本发明的上述和其他目的、特征和优点能够更明显易懂,以下特举优选实施例,并配合附图,详细说明如下。

具体实施方式
图1为依照本发明一实施例之数据储存媒体的示意图。如图1所示,此数据储存媒体10包括有多个数据行11,置于同一列的数据行称之为数据页(page,如标示P0至PN-1所示),每N个数据页被划分成一数据区块(block,如标示B0到BZ-1所示。其中N与Z皆为正整数。在此例中,数据储存媒体包括以非易失性存储器来实现,例如是以闪存(Flashmemory)、磁阻式随机存取内存(Magnetoresistive RAM)、铁电随机存取内存(Ferroelectric RAM)等具有长时间数据保存之内存装置来实现。
图2为依照本发明一实施例之数据储存媒体之损坏数据行的筛选方法的流程图。在开始执行此方法后(如步骤S201所示),系先以损坏数据行群组来标注或记录数据储存媒体10中的损坏数据行(如步骤S202所示),此时,每一损坏数据行群组仅标注或记录一条损坏数据行。由于判断特定数据行是否为损坏数据行乃习知技术,故不多作说明。损坏数据行群组不同于习知记录损坏数据行之方法,其除了记录相邻损坏数据行的起始位置以外,更记录相邻损坏数据行的数目。例如,损坏数据行群组的内容为[333,3],[333]表示第一条损坏数据行为第333条数据行,[3]表示有3条相邻损坏数据行。最后,将损坏数据行判断的结果标注或记录至损坏数据行群组中。接着,判断损坏数据行的数目是否大于损坏数据行群组上限值(如步骤S203所示),损坏数据行群组上限值例如为254。当判断为否时,便直接结束整个筛选流程(如步骤S208所示)。
图3为部分之损坏数据行的分布示意图。在图3中,被标上符号「X」的数据行302、305、321与323皆为损坏数据行,而其余未标上符号「X」的数据行则皆为可正常使用的数据行。请同时参照图2与图3,当步骤S203之判断结果为是时,便将任二个相隔P个数据行的损坏数据行之间的P个数据行皆视为损坏数据行,其中P亦为正整数(如步骤S204所示)。在此例中,系将P设为1,然本发明并不以此为限。因此,按照步骤S204之规则,图3中的损坏数据行321与323之间只相隔一个正常的数据行322,符合此步骤所述之条件,因此便将数据行322亦视为损坏数据行。同样地,其他任二个符合相同条件的损坏数据行(图中未绘示),亦比照办理。
接着,将相邻的损坏数据行标注或记录在同一损坏数据行群组(如步骤S205所示)。以图3所绘示之损坏数据行的分布情行来看,由于数据行322亦被视为损坏数据行,因此数据行321、322与323乃是三个相邻的损坏数据行,而数据行302与305则并非是相邻的损坏数据行,因此图3中数据行321、322与323被标注或记录在同一损坏数据行群组。同样地,其他相邻的损坏数据行亦比照办理。
接下来,判断损坏数据行群组的总数是否小于等于损坏数据行群组上限值(如步骤S206所示)。当判断为是时,便结束整个流程(如步骤S208所示)。反之,当判断为否时,调整P值,例如,以P值加1取代原本的P值,则P值调整为数值2(如步骤S207所示)。
在执行完步骤S207后,便再回到步骤S204。而由于在步骤S207中,P值由1被取代为2,因此步骤S204之执行内容就会变成:将任二个相隔二个数据行的损坏数据行之间的那二个数据行皆视为损坏数据行。以图3所绘示之损坏数据行的分布情行来看,由于数据行321、322与323这三个相邻的损坏数据行已被视为同一损坏数据行群组,只有数据行302与305符合目前的条件,因此图3中只有数据行303与304这二个正常的数据行会被视为是损坏数据行。同样地,其他任二个符合相同条件的损坏数据行(图中未绘示),亦比照办理。
接着,再执行步骤S205,以将相邻的损坏数据行标注或记录在同一损坏数据行群组。以图3所绘示之损坏数据行的分布情行来看,由于数据行321、322与323这三个相邻的损坏数据行已被标注或记录在同一损坏数据行群组,目前只有数据行302至305符合目前的条件,因此数据行302至305便被标注或记录在同一个损坏数据行群组。同样地,其他相邻的损坏数据行亦比照办理。
接下来,再执行步骤S206,判断损坏数据行群组的总数是否小于等于损坏数据行群组上限值,如此不断地反复执行步骤S204至S207,直到在步骤S206中,判断损坏数据行群组的总数小于等于损坏数据行群组上限值后,便可结束整个流程(如步骤S208所示)。如此一来,便可有效地将所有损坏数据行标注或记录于损坏数据行群组中以进行损坏数据行之管理,达到本发明之目的。
图4为依照本发明第二实施例之数据储存媒体之损坏数据行的筛选方法的流程图。步骤S401,开始执行本发明损坏数据行的筛选方法。步骤S402,以损坏数据行群组来标注或记录数据储存媒体10中的损坏数据行,此时每一损坏数据行群组仅标注或记录一条损坏数据行或数条相邻的损坏数据行。步骤S403,判断损坏数据行群组的数目是否等于损坏数据行群组上限值,如果是则执行步骤S404,如果否则执行步骤S408。步骤S404,判断是否仍有损坏数据行,如果是则执行步骤S405,将任二个相隔P个数据行的损坏数据行之间的P个数据行皆视为损坏数据行,其中P亦为正整数;如果否则执行步骤S408,结束本发明损坏数据行的筛选方法。步骤S406,将相邻的损坏数据行标注或记录在同一损坏数据行群组。步骤S407,调整P值后,重新执行S403。本发明第二实施例与本发明第一实施例近似,主要差别在于步骤S403的判断条件与步骤S203不同,并使用步骤S404进行进一步的判断。由于运作及判断的原理近似,故不多作说明。
在其他的实施例中,可以将结合损坏数据行记录以及损坏数据行群组来标注或记录于损坏数据行,并记录在同一损坏数据行记录表中,例如,损坏数据行的记录笔数之上限值为128,单独的损坏数据行可单独记录之,损坏数据行群组之上限值也为128,相邻的损坏数据行则由损坏数据行群组或记录之,此实施例可结合习知及本发明之优点。
综上所述,本发明之筛选方法系将邻近的损坏数据行合并成损坏数据行群组,并以群组的方式来标注或记录,因此在相同的标注数量限制下可标注更多的损坏数据行。
虽然本发明以前述的实施例揭露如上,然其并非用以限定本发明,任何熟习此技艺者,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围内,当可作些许的更动与润饰,因此本发明的专利保护范围须视本说明书所附的申请专利范围所界定者为准。
Claims (6)
1.一种损坏数据行的筛选方法,可应用于包括有多个数据行的数据储存媒体,其特征在于,包括:
a)以多个损坏数据行群组来标注或记录多个损坏数据行,所述多个损坏数据行系选自于所述多个数据行,每一所述多个损坏数据行群组标注或记录损坏数据行之位置以及损坏数据行之数目;
b)判断是否有至少一损坏数据行未标注或记录于所述多个损坏数据行群组,其中,至少一所述损坏数据行未包含于所述多个损坏数据行;
c)当判断为是时,将任二个相隔P个数据行的所述多个损坏数据行标注或记录于所述多个损坏数据行群组,其中P为正整数;以及
d)调整P的数值并执行步骤b。
2.如权利要求1所述之筛选方法,其特征在于,步骤b更包括:
判断所述多个损坏数据行群组之数目是否等于损坏数据行群组上限值;以及
判断是否有至少一所述损坏数据行未标注或记录于所述多个损坏数据行群组,其中,至少一所述损坏数据行未包含于所述多个损坏数据行。
3.如权利要求1所述之筛选方法,其特征在于,步骤b更包括:
判断标注或记录所述多个损坏数据行以及至少一所述损坏数据行的所述多个损坏数据行群组之数目是否大于损坏数据行群组上限值,其中,至少一所述损坏数据行未包含于所述多个损坏数据行。
4.如权利要求1所述之筛选方法,其特征在于,所述多个损坏数据行群组系记录至损坏数据行表中。
5.一种损坏数据行的筛选方法,可应用于包括有多个数据行的数据储存媒体,其特征在于,包括:
a)以多个损坏数据行群组来标注或记录多个损坏数据行,所述多个损坏数据行系选自于所述多个数据行,每一所述多个损坏数据行群组标注或记录损坏数据行之位置以及损坏数据行之数目;
b)判断所述多个损坏数据行的总数是否大于所述多个损坏数据行群组的总数;
c)当判断为是时,将任二个相隔P个数据行的所述多个损坏数据行标注或记录于所述多个损坏数据行群组,其中P为正整数;
d)判断所述多个损坏数据行群组的总数是否小于等于损坏数据行群组上限值;以及
e)调整P的数值并执行步骤b。
6.如权利要求5所述之筛选方法,其特征在于,所述多个损坏数据行群组系记录至损坏数据行表中。
