A method for sewing tubular fabric with translation function comprises a transfer device, a clamping disc, a turnover device and a sewing device; the transfer device comprises a transfer disc, and the transfer disc is used for taking off the woven tubular fabric and transferring the tubular fabric to a clamping disc for clamping; the clamping disc comprises 2 semi-circular seaming discs which can be folded; the stitching device is positioned on the side surface of the clamping disc; the overturning device comprises an object suction assembly, the object suction assembly is positioned below the clamping disc, a tubular piece is arranged in the object suction assembly, and the tubular piece is connected with a negative pressure air source; a transverse moving device for driving the whole assembly to horizontally move is arranged outside the article sucking assembly; the method is characterized in that: when the transfer disc moves to the upper part of the circular knitting machine to transfer the fabric, the transverse moving device drives the suction assembly to move synchronously and close to the circular knitting machine; then, the tubular piece of the article suction assembly adsorbs tubular fabric through negative pressure, and the tubular piece is driven by the lifting device to move up and down for a plurality of times; when the transfer device returns to the lower part of the clamping disc, the transverse moving device synchronously drives the object suction assembly to move to the lower part of the clamping disc, and subsequent overturning and sewing processes are carried out.
