技术领域
本发明属于显示技术领域,具体地讲,涉及一种显示设备的亮度调节装置及亮度调节方法、显示设备。
背景技术
近年来,有机发光二极管(Organic Light-Emitting Diode,OLED)显示设备成为国内外非常热门的新兴平面显示设备产品,这是因为OLED显示设备具有自发光、广视角、短反应时间、高发光效率、广色域、薄厚度、可制作大尺寸与可挠曲的显示设备及制程简单等特性,而且它还具有低成本的潜力。
在OLED显示设备中,通常利用薄膜晶体管(TFT)搭配电容存储信号来控制OLED的亮度灰阶表现。图1是现有的OLED显示设备的像素的电路图。参照图1,现有的OLED显示设备的像素包括两个薄膜晶体管(TFT)和一个电容器,具体地,包括一个开关TFT T1、一个驱动TFT T2和一个存储电容器Cst。其中,驱动TFT T2的源极用于接收电源正极电压OVDD,OLED的阴极用于接收电源负极电压OVSS,一般而言,电源正极电压OVDD和电源负极电压OVSS均由电源电压器产生。电源电压器产生的电源电压(其包括电源正极电压OVDD和电源负极电压OVSS)在传送到像素的过程中,由于走线的阻抗等原因,到达像素的电源电压会减小,从而产生IR压降(IR-Drop),使OLED显示设备的显示画面的均匀性降低。
发明内容
为了解决上述现有技术存在的问题,本发明的目的在于提供一种能够提高显示画面的均匀性的显示设备的亮度调节装置及亮度调节方法、显示设备。
根据本发明的一方面,提供了一种显示设备的亮度调节装置,其包括:数据转换器,用于将电源电压器产生的原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值;其中,所述显示设备包括多个所述像素区部和所述电源电压器,所述像素区部包括多个所述像素,所述像素包括有机发光二极管,所述电源电压器用于产生原始电源电压,并将所述原始电源电压向所述像素区部的各个像素进行提供;时序控制器,用于根据各个实时数位值和所述原始数位值获取数位差值,并根据所述数位差值获取亮度调节系数,并根据所述亮度调节系数对由外部输入的图像信号进行处理,以产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号。
进一步地,所述数据转换器包括:数据选择模块,用于选择多个像素区部之一的每个像素的实时电源电压;模数转换模块,用于将所述原始电源电压和选择出的像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压分别转换为原始数位值和实时数位值。
进一步地,所述时序控制器进一步用于计算各个实时数位值的平均数位值,并计算所述平均数位值和所述原始数位值的数位差值。
进一步地,所述时序控制器进一步用于在预先设定的亮度调节曲线上查找与所述数位差值对应的数值,并根据所述数值获取所述亮度调节系数。

根据本发明的又一方面,又提供了一种显示设备的亮度调节方法,其包括:将电源电压器产生的原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值;其中,所述显示设备包括多个所述像素区部和所述电源电压器,所述像素区部包括多个所述像素,所述像素包括有机发光二极管,所述电源电压器用于产生原始电源电压,并将所述原始电源电压向所述像素区部的各个像素进行提供;根据各个实时数位值和所述原始数位值获取数位差值;根据所述数位差值获取亮度调节系数;根据所述亮度调节系数对由外部输入的图像信号进行处理,以产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号;根据所述扫描控制信号和所述数据控制信号分别产生扫描信号和数据信号,并将所述扫描信号和所述数据信号提供到所述像素区部的各个像素。
进一步地,将所述原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值的方法包括:选择多个像素区部之一的每个像素的实时电源电压;将所述原始电源电压和选择出的像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压分别转换为原始数位值和实时数位值。
进一步地,根据各个实时数位值和所述原始数位值获取数位差值的方法包括:计算各个实时数位值的平均数位值;将所述平均数位值和所述原始数位值作差,以得到所述数位差值。
进一步地,根据所述数位差值获取亮度调节系数的方法包括:在预先设定的亮度调节曲线上查找与所述数位差值对应的数值,并根据所述数值获取所述亮度调节系数。
本发明的有益效果:本发明对像素的亮度进行了补偿,从而减轻IR压降(IR-Drop),进而提高显示画面的均匀性。

具体实施方式
以下,将参照附图来详细描述本发明的实施例。然而,可以以许多不同的形式来实施本发明,并且本发明不应该被解释为限制于这里阐述的具体实施例。相反,提供这些实施例是为了解释本发明的原理及其实际应用,从而使本领域的其他技术人员能够理解本发明的各种实施例和适合于特定预期应用的各种修改。
在附图中,为了清楚器件,夸大了层和区域的厚度。相同的标号在整个说明书和附图中表示相同的元器件。
图1是根据本发明的实施例的显示设备的结构示意图。
参照图1,根据本发明的实施例的显示设备包括:多个像素区部100、扫描驱动器200、数据驱动器300、电源电压器400及亮度调节装置500。
具体地,每个像素区部100包括多个像素PX。在本实施例中,每个像素区域100包括一列像素PX,但本发明并不限制于此,例如每个像素区域100可以包括一行或至少两行像素PX,或者至少两列像素PX等。
每个像素PX与显示信号线连接。显示信号线可以包括传送扫描信号的多条扫描线G1至Gn和传送数据信号的多条数据线D1至Dm。扫描线G1至Gn按行方向延伸并且彼此大致平行。数据线D1至Dm按列方向延伸并且彼此大致平行。
扫描驱动器200连接到扫描线G1至Gn,并向扫描线G1至Gn施加扫描信号。扫描信号通过扫描线G1至Gn而提供给像素PX。
数据驱动器300连接到数据线D1至Dm,并向数据线D1至Dm施加数据信号。数据信号通过数据线D1至Dm而提供给像素PX。
电源电压器400产生电源电压,该电源电压包括电源正极电压OVDD和电源负极电压OVSS。电源电压器400将电源正极电压OVDD和电源负极电压OVSS提供给像素PX。
图2是根据本发明的实施例的像素的电路图。
参照图2,根据本发明的实施例的像素PX包括:驱动薄膜晶体管T1、开关薄膜晶体管T2、存储电容器Cst、有机发光二极管OLED。
驱动薄膜晶体管T1的漏极连接有机发光二极管OLED的阳极;驱动薄膜晶体管T1的源极连接到电源电压器400,以接收电源正极电压OVDD;驱动薄膜晶体管T1的栅极连接到开关薄膜晶体管T2的漏极;有机发光二极管OLED的阴极连接到电源电压器400,以接收电源负极电压OVSS;开关薄膜晶体管T2的栅极连接到扫描线Gi(1≤i≤n),且其源极连接到数据线Dj(1≤j≤m);存储电容器Cst连接在驱动薄膜晶体管T1的源极和栅极之间。
在本实施例中,将电源电压器400产生的电源电压定义为原始电源电压(原始电源正极电压或原始电源负极电压),而当电源电压器400将其产生的原始电源电压向像素PX进行提供时,由于走线的阻抗等原因,原始电源电压势必会下降,像素PX实际接收到的电源电压要小于原始电源电压,从而将像素PX实际接收到的电源电压定义为实时电源电压(实时电源正极电压或实时电源负极电压)。
继续参照图1,亮度调节装置500被构造为根据所述原始电源电压和像素区部100的每个像素PX的实时电源电压获取亮度调节系数,并根据亮度调节系数产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号。
具体而言,亮度调节装置500包括:数据转换器510和时序控制器520。
数据转换器510用于将电源电压器400产生的原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将像素区部100的每个像素PX的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值。
时序控制器520用于根据各个实时数位值和所述原始数位值获取数位差值,并根据该数位差值获取亮度调节系数。
进一步地,数据转换器510包括:数据选择模块511、模数转换模块512。
数据选择模块511用于选择多个像素区部100之一的每个像素PX的实时电源电压。模数转换模块512用于将所述原始电源电压和选择出的像素区部100的每个像素PX的实时电源电压分别转换为原始数位值和实时数位值。
进一步地,时序控制器520还用于计算选择出的像素区部100的各个像素PX的各个实时数位值的平均数位值,并计算所述平均数位值和所述原始数位值的数位差值。
时序控制器520还用于在预先设定的亮度调节曲线上查找与所述数位差值对应的数值,并根据所述数值获取所述亮度调节系数。该亮度调节系数能够用于补偿由于电源电压的下降而带来的IR下降效应。
具体可通过在预先设定的亮度调节曲线上查找与数位差值对应的数值,并根据数值获取亮度调节系数。
亮度调节曲线可以是数位差值与亮度调节系数的关系曲线,例如横坐标表示数位差值,纵坐标表示亮度调节系数,根据该曲线直接得出亮度调节系数。
此外,时序控制器520还控制扫描驱动器200和数据驱动器300的操作。
时序控制器520从外部图形控制器(未示出)接收图像信号(诸如R、G和B信号)。时序控制器520利用亮度调节系数适当处理图像信号(可以是只处理与选择出的像素区部100的每个像素PX对应的图像信号),从而产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号。这里,通过亮度调节系数对图像信号的处理,可以补偿数据驱动器300根据数据控制信号而产生的数据信号,从而对像素PX的亮度进行补偿,从而减轻像素PX亮度不均匀的现象。
然后,时序控制器520将扫描控制信号传送到扫描驱动器200,并将数据控制信号传送到数据驱动器300。扫描驱动器200根据扫描控制信号而产生扫描信号,数据驱动器300根据数据控制信号而产生数据信号。
从上述的描述可知,数据选择模块511分时选择多个像素区部100之一的每个像素PX的实时电源电压。这样,可以分时地对与每次选择出的像素区部100的每个像素PX对应的图像信号进行调节,或者将每次获取的亮度调节系数先存储起来,直到获取到最后一个亮度调节系数,而后利用所有的亮度调节系数对全部的图像信号进行处理。
图3是根据本发明的实施例的显示设备的亮度调节方法的流程图。
参照图3,根据本发明的实施例的显示设备的亮度调节方法包括步骤S310至步骤S350。
参照图1至图3,在步骤S310中,数据转换器510将电源电压器400产生的原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将选择出的像素区部100的每个像素PX的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值。
实现步骤S310的具体方法包括:
首先,数据转换器510选择多个像素区部100之一的每个像素PX的实时电源电压。
其次,数据转换器510将电源电压器400产生的原始电源电压和选择出的像素区部100的每个像素PX的实时电源电压分别转换为原始数位值和实时数位值。
在步骤S320中,时序控制器520根据与选择出的像素区部100相应的各个实时数位值和原始数位值获取数位差值。
实现步骤S320的方法包括
首先,时序控制器520计算各个实时数位值的平均数位值。
其次,时序控制器520将平均数位值和原始数位值作差,以得到数位差值。
在步骤S330中,时序控制器520根据数位差值获取亮度调节系数。
具体可通过在预先设定的亮度调节曲线上查找与数位差值对应的数值,并根据数值获取亮度调节系数。
亮度调节曲线可以是数位差值与亮度调节系数的关系曲线,例如横坐标表示数位差值,纵坐标表示亮度调节系数,根据该曲线直接得出亮度调节系数。
在步骤S340中,时序控制器520根据亮度调节系数对由外部输入的图像信号进行处理,以产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号。
在步骤S350中,扫描驱动器200根据扫描控制信号产生扫描信号,并将扫描信号提供给选择出的像素区部100的各个像素PX;数据驱动器300根据数据控制信号产生数据信号,并将数据信号提供给选择出的像素区部100的各个像素PX。
综上所述,根据本发明的实施例的显示设备、显示设备的亮度调节装置及亮度调节方法,对像素PX的亮度进行了补偿,从而减轻IR压降(IR-Drop),进而提高显示画面的均匀性。
此外,本申请是参照根据本申请实施例的方法和设备(或系统)来描述的。应理解的是,可由计算机程序指令结合信息感应设备实现流程图和/或方框图中的每一流程和/或方框、以及流程图和/或方框图中的流程和/或方框的结合。可提供这些计算机程序指令到通用计算机、专用计算机、嵌入式处理机或其他可编程数据处理设备的处理器以产生一个机器,使得通过计算机或其他可编程数据处理设备的处理器执行的指令配合信息感应设备产生用于实现在流程图一个流程或多个流程和/或方框图一个方框或多个方框中指定的功能的装置。
此外,根据本发明的实施例的显示设备中的各个装置、器件或模块可被实现为硬件组件。本领域技术人员根据限定的各个装置、器件或模块所执行的处理,可以使用例如现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)或专用集成电路(ASIC)来实现各个模块或单元或子单元。
虽然已经参照特定实施例示出并描述了本发明,但是本领域的技术人员将理解:在不脱离由权利要求及其等同物限定的本发明的精神和范围的情况下,可在此进行形式和细节上的各种变化。
Claims (9)
1.一种显示设备的亮度调节装置,其特征在于,包括:
数据转换器,用于将电源电压器产生的原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值;其中,所述显示设备包括多个所述像素区部和所述电源电压器,所述像素区部包括多个所述像素,所述像素包括有机发光二极管,所述电源电压器用于产生原始电源电压,并将所述原始电源电压向所述像素区部的各个像素进行提供;
时序控制器,用于根据各个实时数位值和所述原始数位值获取数位差值,并根据所述数位差值获取亮度调节系数,并根据所述亮度调节系数对由外部输入的图像信号进行处理,以产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号。
2.根据权利要求1所述的亮度调节装置,其特征在于,所述数据转换器包括:
数据选择模块,用于选择多个像素区部之一的每个像素的实时电源电压;
模数转换模块,用于将所述原始电源电压和选择出的像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压分别转换为原始数位值和实时数位值。
3.根据权利要求1所述的亮度调节装置,其特征在于,所述时序控制器进一步用于计算各个实时数位值的平均数位值,并计算所述平均数位值和所述原始数位值的数位差值。
4.根据权利要求1或3所述的亮度调节装置,其特征在于,所述时序控制器进一步用于在预先设定的亮度调节曲线上查找与所述数位差值对应的数值,并根据所述数值获取所述亮度调节系数。
5.一种显示设备,其特征在于,包括:
多个像素区部,所述像素区部包括多个具有有机发光二极管的像素;
电源电压器,用于产生原始电源电压,并将所述原始电源电压向所述像素区部的各个像素进行提供;
权利要求1至4任一项所述的亮度调节装置,用于根据所述原始电源电压和所述像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压获取亮度调节系数,并根据所述亮度调节系数产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号;
扫描驱动器,用于根据所述扫描控制信号向所述像素区部的各个像素提供扫描信号;
数据驱动器,用于根据所述数据控制信号向所述像素区部的各个像素提供数据信号。
6.一种显示设备的亮度调节方法,其特征在于,包括:
将电源电压器产生的原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值;其中,所述显示设备包括多个所述像素区部和所述电源电压器,所述像素区部包括多个所述像素,所述像素包括有机发光二极管,所述电源电压器用于产生原始电源电压,并将所述原始电源电压向所述像素区部的各个像素进行提供;
根据各个实时数位值和所述原始数位值获取数位差值;
根据所述数位差值获取亮度调节系数;
根据所述亮度调节系数对由外部输入的图像信号进行处理,以产生扫描控制信号和数据控制信号;
根据所述扫描控制信号和所述数据控制信号分别产生扫描信号和数据信号,并将所述扫描信号和所述数据信号提供到所述像素区部的各个像素。
7.根据权利要求6所述的亮度调节方法,其特征在于,将所述原始电源电压转换为原始数位值,并将像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压转换为实时数位值的方法包括:
选择多个像素区部之一的每个像素的实时电源电压;
将所述原始电源电压和选择出的像素区部的每个像素的实时电源电压分别转换为原始数位值和实时数位值。
8.根据权利要求6所述的亮度调节方法,其特征在于,根据各个实时数位值和所述原始数位值获取数位差值的方法包括:
计算各个实时数位值的平均数位值;
将所述平均数位值和所述原始数位值作差,以得到所述数位差值。
9.根据权利要求6所述的亮度调节方法,其特征在于,根据所述数位差值获取亮度调节系数的方法包括:
在预先设定的亮度调节曲线上查找与所述数位差值对应的数值,并根据所述数值获取所述亮度调节系数。
