Abstract

Background
The power cable often causes the damage of the outer sheath of the cable because of the bad construction environment in the erection process, and influences the operation of the cable. When the damage fault of the outer sheath of the cable is processed, a maintenance worker usually uses a traditional mode to wind and seal the broken position by an insulating tape. Firstly, the cable insulating tape cannot be well in close contact with an outer sheath layer, the cable runs in a humid environment for a long time, and a gap between the wound insulating tape and the outer sheath is easy to enter water and moisture, so that the insulation failure of a repair position is caused, and potential safety hazards are caused to the cable in running; secondly, the wound insulating tape has poor strength and is easy to damage in the construction process, so that the insulating property is reduced, and the wound insulating tape is easy to enter water and damp, thereby also causing potential safety hazards.

Example 3:
a cable repair method using the cable repair device of embodiment 1, comprising the steps of:
firstly, the repairing shell 1 is folded and covered at the position of a damaged cable sheath 21, and two ends of the repairing shell 1 are sealed with cable insulation sheaths 22 at two ends of the damaged cable sheath 21;
injecting liquid repairing glue into a cavity between the repairing shell 1 and the damaged cable sheath 21 through the glue injection hole 14 until the cavity is filled with the repairing glue;
thirdly, the liquid repairing glue in the cavity is solidified into solid repairing glue which forms a repairing layer of the damaged sheath 21 of the cable together with the repairing shell 1.
The method comprises the steps of covering the damaged sheath 21 of the cable with the repairing shell 1, injecting liquid repairing glue into the repairing shell 1, forming a repairing layer of the damaged sheath 21 of the cable together with the repairing shell 1 after the repairing glue is solidified, enabling the repairing layer to be in close and seamless contact with the outer sheath of the cable, being good in waterproof and moisture-proof performance and high in strength and not prone to damage.

A cable repairing device is characterized by comprising a repairing shell, wherein the repairing shell is of an opposite-type structure and comprises two sub-shells, one adjacent side edge of each sub-shell is hinged, the other adjacent side edge of each sub-shell can be connected through a locking device, one of the two sub-shells is provided with a glue injection hole, the repairing shell forms a cable passing cavity with openings at two ends after being combined, the inner diameter of the cable passing cavity is larger than the outer diameter of a cable to be repaired, the repairing shell covers a damaged sheath of the cable when in use, two ends of the repairing shell are respectively sleeved on and hermetically connected with cable insulating sheaths at two ends of the damaged sheath of the cable, liquid repairing glue can be injected into the repairing shell through the glue injection holes, and the repairing glue and the repairing shell form a repairing layer of the damaged sheath of the cable after being solidified; the outer periphery of one end of the repairing shell is provided with an external thread, the inner periphery of the other end of the repairing shell is provided with an internal thread matched with the external thread, and two or more than two folded repairing shells can be connected in series in sequence to form a whole through threaded connection; the inner periphery of one end, provided with the internal thread, of the repairing shell is also provided with a first caulking groove, a first elastic rubber sleeve is embedded into the first caulking groove and comprises two semi-annular first rubber blocks, the two semi-annular first rubber blocks are respectively arranged at corresponding positions on the two split shells, and when the two split shells are combined, the corresponding two first rubber blocks are matched to form the first elastic rubber sleeve; the cable repairing device further comprises two sealing end shells, the end face of each sealing end shell is provided with a wire passing port, the two sealing end shells are of an opposite type structure, one sealing end shell is provided with an external thread matched with the internal thread of the repairing shell, the other sealing end shell is provided with an internal thread matched with the external thread of the repairing shell, a second caulking groove is formed in the inner periphery of the sealing end shell provided with the internal thread, a second elastic rubber sleeve is embedded into the second caulking groove and comprises two semi-annular second rubber blocks corresponding to the opposite type structure of the sealing end shell, and when the sealing end shells are opposite, the two corresponding second rubber blocks are matched to form the second elastic rubber sleeve.
2. The cable repair device according to claim 1, wherein the locking device is one of a snap, a butt-joint, a ferrule, and a screw.
3. The cable repair device of claim 1 wherein said repair housing further comprises a plug for sealing said glue hole.
4. The cable repair device according to claim 1, wherein the repair housing further has a vent hole.
5. The cable repair device according to claim 1, wherein the mating interface of the two sub-housings is provided with mating elongated ribs and grooves, respectively.
6. The cable repair device of claim 1 wherein the material of the repair housing is a flexible, resilient insulating material.
7. A cable repair method using the cable repair apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 6, comprising the steps of:
folding the repairing shell to cover the damaged sheath of the cable, and sealing two ends of the repairing shell with the insulating sheaths of the cable at two ends of the damaged sheath of the cable;
injecting liquid repairing glue into a cavity between the repairing shell and the damaged cable sheath through the glue injection hole until the cavity is filled with the repairing glue;
thirdly, the liquid repairing glue in the cavity is solidified into solid repairing glue which forms a repairing layer of the damaged sheath of the cable together with the repairing shell.
