Abstract
当射频电路被综合到电子设备的可活动机壳元件内时必须考虑该电路是在工作位置时环绕面积的影响。无线电话机(100)具有综合到可活动机壳元件(101)的天线(105)。天线(105)有打开和闭合的位置。该可活动机壳元件在打开位置时,该天线被调谐。该可活动机壳元件在闭合位置时,位于该可活动机壳元件的第一对导电片(107、109)和位于第二机壳元件(103)内的第二导电片(113)定位以重新调谐该天线。
Description
本发明涉及包括天线的射频(RF)电路,具体涉及把这些RF电路综合(integrate)到电子设备的可活动机壳元件上。
诸如便携无线电设备之类的电子设备通常实际上变得较小,而且用户和生产者要求更多的特点。为此,一些无线电设备要求小型综合天线,或提供用于分集的第二天线,或为装饰目的将该主要天线隐蔽。
因为便携无线电设备的大部分表面通常被用户的手遮蔽,综合天线的合理位置是无线电电话机机壳的延伸部分。这种延伸的机壳可能是通过向外旋转一个翻动片、扭转无线电话机机壳的部分、或通过无线电话机机壳的部分从一部分滑动到第二部分来实现的。当机壳元件处于第一位置和处于第二位置时,这样的便携无线电设备都具有有效的工作方式。
据此,所设计的综合到可活动的机壳元件内的任何天线或RF电路必须被设计得可在第一位置和第二位置都能很好地实现。天线设计中的困难是当天线位于第二位置时天线极接近于便携式无线电设备的电气元件和天线在第一位置时天线远离该无线电设备内部元件。典型地,天线必须调谐以便匹配功率放大器的阻抗以得到最好的天线性能。天线的匹配在很大程度上取决于在其工作期间天线的位置。这里,天线有两个物理位置,它必须有效地工作在这两个位置上。如果在第一位置时天线被调谐,然后当天线是在第二位置且靠近于收发信机的电气元件时,天线就会失调。失调的天线对于功率放大器的阻抗匹配并且性能遭受严重的损失。为此,现在需要开发研制一种天线,它可在可活动的机壳元件处于第一位置和处于第二位置时都能有效地起作用。
图1是根据本发明具有在打开位置的可活动机壳元件的无线电话机的示图。
图2是图1所示的无线电话机根据本发明具有在关闭位置的可活动机壳元件的示图。
图3是根据本发明图1的无线电话机的部分的示图。
图1是本发明优选实施例的示图。这里,天线系统被综合到一个便携式无线电话机100(例如可从莫托罗拉公司买到的1.9GHz日本的袖珍电话机)内。一个便携式无线电话机典型地包括一个键盘102、一个显示器104、一个扬声器106、一个麦克风(未示出)、以及无线电话机的电气元件。无线电话机100是无线电话系统的一部分,该系统使用射频信号在远端收发信机(未示出)和多个无线电话机,例如如图1所示的无线电话机100之间通信。该天线用于发送和接收远端收发信机和无线电话机之间的射频信号。如在背景技术中所描述的,希望提供综合到无线电话机壳体的延伸部分的一个天线。
这里,无线电话机100的机壳被分解为第一机壳元件101和第二机壳元件103。第一机壳元件101也称为翻动片,相对于第二机壳元件103可活动。第二机壳元件103包含便携式无线电话机的电子元件的主要部分。可预见到,本发明可应用在其它无线电设备中,在那些设备中,第一机壳元件在第一位置和利用扭转运动、旋转运动或滑动的第二位置之间是可活动的。图2示出图1的无线电话机100的具有闭合的或第二位置的第一可活动机壳元件101。
在优选实施例中,该天线系统包括天线105设置在第一可活动机壳元件101内,第一对导电片107、109,设置在天线105的馈送点111和在可活动壳体单元101内。导电片107电气地连接到天线105的第一端108和导电片109电气地连接到天线105的第二端110。在该优选实施例中,该天线105是一个半波偶极子天线,但是,可用其它天线代替,例如,环形天线、接插天线或单极天线或其它公知的天线。不管天线的类型如何,在天线105的馈送点配置第一对导电片107、109。这里,该偶极子的馈送点111如图1所示那样放置。第二导电片113被配置在第二壳体单元103之内,如图1所示。导电片107、109和113把分路电容加到天线系统中。另一种可替代的方案是,由导电片产生的分路负载电容可从天线的中间馈送点移开。很宽范围的天线阻抗通过改变电容片的尺寸和它们沿天线或馈送天线的在翻动片内的传输线的位置来匹配。
图3示出图1的无线电话机100的一部分的示图。具体地讲,图3是用于说明通过传输线317在天线105和收发信机315之间的连接。收发信机315是无线电话机的电子部件的一部分。天线105被调谐以匹配收发信机315的阻抗,而同时第一可活动机壳元件是在打开位置,也称为第一位置。当第一可活动机壳元件101是在第一位置时,第一对导电片107、109仅对馈送点阻抗提供小量的分路电容。对于天线105的调谐可容易计算分路电容的这个附加量。
第二导电片113被设置在第二机壳元件内,这样,当第一可活动机壳元件101处于第二位置时,第一对导电片107、109和第二导电片113是相互平行的而且相互非常靠近。这种平行片的排列导致天线馈送点111两边的分路电容明显增加。增加分路电容有效地重新调谐天线105使天线105保持最好的性能,即使天线非常靠近无线电话机的电子元件也是这样。
当该天线105与在第一位置的第一可活动机壳单元101是最佳化时,如图1所示,天线105基本上被调谐用于自由空间工作。当第一可活动壳体单元101在第二位置时,如图2所示,它靠近于无线电话机的电子元件。如果不存在介质,用第二位置的第一可活动壳体单元镜像原理预测,辐射电阻将下降,而且天线阻抗将变为由电容电抗为主。在这种情况下,在馈送点增加分路电容量将不补偿由无线电话机电子元件引起的失谐影响。
实际上当第一可活动机壳单元101在第二位置时,如图2所示,天线105不由空气与无线电话机的电子元件分离开、而由壳体、键盘和显示器产生的各种介质层分离开。这些介质层具有大于1的介质常数。当第一可活动壳体单元101在第二位置时,存在更高介质材料可增加天线105的有效电气长度,以使天线阻抗变为感性的而不是容性的。因此,由导电片107、109、113产生的附加分路电容量重新匹配天线阻抗为收发信机的阻抗。换句话说,分路电容量改变天线105的有效电气长度等于当天线105处于第一位置时的有效电气长度。通过模拟和实验业已证明了这些影响,如表1-3所示。
虽然优选实施例的正文研究开发了把天线综合到无线电话机的可活动机壳元件内,但是本发明者想像他们的发明可用于把任何RF电路综合到电子设备的可活动机壳元件内。

Claims (2)
1.一种具有一个第一机壳元件以及一个第二机壳元件的无线电设备,其中第一机壳元件可在第一打开位置与第二闭合位置之间活动,第二机壳元件包含无线电设备的电气部件的主要部分,从而在第二机壳元件内产生一个导体,该无线电设备包括:
一个天线,它具有一个电气长度、一个馈送点并且被设置在第一机壳元件内;
第一对导电片,设置在第一机壳元件内并且耦合到天线;以及
一个第二导电片,其设置在第二机壳元件内并且被这样布置,即当第一机壳元件处于第一打开位置时,第二导电片对天线的电气长度具有最小的影响,并且当第一机壳元件处于第二闭合位置时,第二导电片非常接近于该第一对导电片,从而电容耦合该第一对导电片以及第二导电片,对天线的电气长度产生影响,以反作用由导体所引起的对天线电气长度的任何影响,从而第一机壳元件中的天线被调谐,以便既工作于打开位置又工作于闭合位置。
2.根据权利要求1的无线电设备,其特征在于,所述第一对导电片被连接到天线的馈送点。
