Background
Inter-machine (Machine to Machine, abbreviated as M2M) communication is an important issue in current research of fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G), and is also an important application field of future wireless communication. In the M2M problem, a research sub-problem of narrowband internet of things (NarowBand-Internet of Things, abbreviated as NB-IoT) is proposed for the characteristics of low-cost low-throughput terminals: i.e., provide low throughput wireless communication services for NB-IoT low cost terminals (UEs) in the 200khz band.
NB-IoT introduces different uplink narrowband access capabilities (Single-Tone) for UE low cost features. A Single-Tone capable terminal can only use Single-Tone type resources.
NB-IoT introduces an optimized data transmission scheme (control plane transmission based optimization scheme, user plane transmission based optimization scheme) for the characteristics of small data volume transmission. 2. A method for reporting information, comprising:
when User Equipment (UE) sends an RRC connection establishment completion or RRC connection reestablishment completion or RRC connection recovery completion confirmation to a base station, the base station receives capability information of the UE reported by the UE and/or preferential indication information for indicating a data transmission mode;
the base station selects a data transmission mode and/or selects a target MME and/or allocates uplink resources to the UE according to the capability information of the UE and/or the preferential indication information for indicating the data transmission mode, wherein the capability of the UE comprises at least one of the following steps: the preferred indication of the data transmission mode comprises at least one of the following: the control plane-based transmission scheme, the user plane-based transmission scheme and the traditional LTE transmission scheme are adopted preferentially.
3. The method according to claim 2, wherein the method further comprises:
the base station sends the capability information of the UE and/or the preferential indication information for indicating the data transmission mode to a Mobile Management Entity (MME);
And when the base station receives the capability update of the UE, the base station informs the MME of the updated capability of the UE.
4. A method for reporting information, comprising:
MME receives the capability information of UE sent by the base station and/or the preferential indication information for indicating the data transmission mode;
the MME stores capability information of the UE and/or preferential indication information for indicating a data transmission mode;
the MME selects a data transmission mode of the UE according to the capability information of the UE and/or the preferential indication information for indicating the data transmission mode, wherein the capability of the UE comprises at least one of the following: the preferred indication of the data transmission mode comprises at least one of the following: the control plane-based transmission scheme, the user plane-based transmission scheme and the traditional LTE transmission scheme are adopted preferentially.

When the MME fails to acquire the capability of the UE, the MME initiates a request message for inquiring the capability of the UE to the base station; the base station forwards the request message for inquiring the UE capability to the UE;
and the MME receives a response message forwarded by the UE through the base station, wherein the response message carries the capability information of the UE.
6. The method according to claim 4, wherein the method further comprises:
and when the MME receives the capability update of the UE, the MME informs the updated capability of the UE to the base station.
7. An information reporting device applied to a UE side of a user equipment, comprising:
