Background
In LTE internet of vehicles (V2X), each UE can only operate in one resource selection mode. The idle UE operates in mode4, and the resource selection mode of the connected UE is configured by the network. In NR V2X, since the UE needs to support multiple different V2X services, different V2X services have different QoS requirements, such as: minimum communication distance, reliability, time delay, etc. Thus, different V2X traffic may require different communication modes to support. In other words, one UE may need to operate in multiple resource selection modes simultaneously. For example, the UE may need to support both mode 1 (base station scheduling) and mode 2a (autonomous resource selection). Unlike LTE, the communication mode of NR V2X UEs is more complex. If the UE communication mode is completely dependent on the network configuration, the delay caused by the configuration update will not meet the NR V2X communication delay requirement.

In this embodiment of the present invention, the third determining module 702 determines the capability dividing manner of the terminal on the communication path, or determines the capability dividing manner of the terminal on the communication path together with the network side, where the determining manner includes one or a combination of the following:
receiving a third indication message sent by a network side; the third indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capacity which is determined to be used by the Uu port by the network side;
if the Uu port capability is confirmed or the Uu port capability is recommended to be modified, sending a fourth indication message; the fourth indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability determined to be used on the sidelink to the network side.
An embodiment of the present invention further provides a device for determining a terminal capability, where as shown in fig. 8, the device is applied to a network side, and includes:
a second receiving module 801, configured to receive capability information of a terminal;
a fourth determining module 802, configured to determine a communication mode of the terminal, or determine, together with the terminal, a capability dividing manner of the terminal on a communication path.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the determining, by the fourth determining module 802, a capability dividing manner of the terminal on a communication path includes:
sending a third indication message to the terminal; the third indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability used by the Uu port to be determined by the network side.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the determining, by the fourth determining module 802 and the terminal, a capability dividing manner of the terminal on a communication path jointly includes:
sending a third indication message to the terminal; the third indication message is used for indicating the baseband band combination and/or the baseband processing capacity which is determined and used by the Uu port by the network side;

It should be noted that: the apparatus provided in the foregoing embodiment is only illustrated by dividing the program modules when determining the terminal capability, and in practical applications, the processing allocation may be completed by different program modules according to needs, that is, the internal structure of the device is divided into different program modules to complete all or part of the processing described above. In addition, the apparatus provided in the above embodiments and the corresponding method embodiments belong to the same concept, and specific implementation processes thereof are described in the method embodiments and are not described herein again.

sending a third indication message to the terminal; the third indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability used by the Uu port to be determined by the network side.
When the capacity division mode of the terminal on the communication path is determined together with the terminal, the computer program is executed by a processor and further executes:
sending a third indication message to the terminal; the third indication message is used for indicating the baseband band combination and/or the baseband processing capacity which is determined and used by the Uu port by the network side;
receiving a fourth indication message sent by the terminal; and the fourth indication message is sent when the terminal confirms the Uu port capability or proposes to modify the Uu port capability, and is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability determined to be used on the sidelink to the network side.
The invention is described below in conjunction with the scenario embodiments.
In order to solve the problems in the related art, in the embodiment of the present invention, the communication method and the related capability partition related to sidelink are autonomously determined by the UE, and the communication method and the related capability partition related to the network side are determined by the network side. Therefore, the UE has a certain autonomous decision-making right, the determination of the UE communication mode and the division of the UE capacity can be realized more flexibly, and the time delay caused by the fact that the UE communication mode completely depends on network configuration is avoided to a certain extent.
The method specifically comprises the following steps:
firstly, reporting one or a combination of the following capabilities to a network by the UE;
1) whether multiple communication modes are simultaneously supported, i.e., whether two or more of the following communication modes are simultaneously supported: LTEmode 3, LTE mode4, NR mode 1, NR mode 2a, NR mode 2b, NR mode 2c, NR mode 2d, NRmode 2 series.
2) Whether LTE PC5 and NR sidelink simultaneous transmission are supported;
here, a supported band combination list can also be reported;
this capability can be subdivided into whether or not a sidelink split bear, or duplicate, is supported;
3) whether the Uu interface and the sidelink interface are supported to transmit simultaneously, namely whether one or the combination of the following is supported: LTEUu is doubly connected with LTE PC5, LTE Uu is doubly connected with NR sidelink, NR Uu is doubly connected with LTE PC5, and NR Uu is doubly connected with NRsidelink.
Here, a supported band combination list can also be reported;
this capability can be subdivided into whether or not a sidelink split bear, or duplicate, is supported;
4) the UE capability can be directly reported to the base station, or the UE capability can be reported to the core network first and then transferred to the base station by the core network.
Secondly, determining a UE communication mode;
here, it may be determined by the wireless network, by the UE, or may be determined by the wireless network and the UE negotiating:
1) as determined by the wireless network: the wireless network can be configured to the UE through the RRC message after being determined;
2) when determined by the UE: can be determined by the V2X layer, can also be determined by the RRC layer;
3) the wireless network and the UE determine through RRC message negotiation:
a. the wireless network determines whether a network side related UE communication mode, namely LTE Uu, and/or NR Uu, and/or LTE mode3, and/or NR mode 1 is enabled, and indicates the determined mode to the UE;
b. the UE determines whether a terminal side dependent UE communication mode, i.e. one or more of LTE mode4, and/or NR mode 2a, and/or NR mode 2b, and/or NR mode 2c, and/or NR mode 2d, and/or NR mode2 series, and/or LTE mode3, and/or NR mode 1, is enabled, and indicates the determined mode to the wireless network;
in addition, the UE may also request the wireless network to modify the network-side related UE communication mode.
Thirdly, determining the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability used on each communication path (LTE Uu, NR Uu, LTE PC5, NR sidelink) of the UE;
1) as determined by the network: after the network is determined, the network is configured to the UE through RRC message;
2) when determined by the UE: determined by the UE RRC layer;
3) when determined by network and UE through RRC message negotiation:
a. the network indicates the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability which are determined to be used by the Uu port to the UE;
here, if the network side is dual connectivity, the Uu port capability of the UE needs to be negotiated between the radio network nodes before this step.
b. The UE confirms or suggests to modify the band combination and the baseband processing capability which are determined to be used by the Uu port;
here, if the Uu port capability is confirmed, the UE will indicate the band combination and/or baseband processing capability determined to be used on sidelink to the network;
if the Uu port capability is recommended to be modified, the UE indicates the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability determined to be used on the sidelink to the network; the network may reject.
Two specific examples are given below to illustrate the above process.
Example one
The embodiment is a capability division process for a connected UE, as shown in fig. 9, where the UE is currently in a four-link connected state, and the capability division process for the UE is shown in fig. 10, and includes:
step 1: the UE sends the self capability information to an LTE (main node) MN;
step 2: the UE sends a V2X service correlation list supported by the UE to the LTE MN;
and step 3: the UE determines to enable an LTE mode4, NR mode2 series communication mode;
and 4, step 4: the UE indicates LTE MN to enable LTE mode4, NR mode2 series communication mode;
and 5: the LTE MN determines to start the LTE Uu and NR Uu communication modes based on the capability information sent by the UE;
step 6: the LTE MN indicates the UE by using the message of starting the communication modes of the LTE Uu and the NR Uu;
and 7: the LTE MN determines MN side-band combining (baseband) and/or baseband processing capabilities;
and 8: the LTE MN indicates the bandwidth combination and/or baseband processing capability NRSN selectable by a Secondary Node (SN);
and step 9: the NR SN determines the SN side Bandcombination and/or the baseband processing capacity;
step 10: the NR SN informs the LTE MN of the determined Bandcombination and/or baseband processing capacity;
step 11: the LTE MN indicates the bandwidth combination and/or baseband processing capability determined by the Uu port to the UE;
step 12: the UE indicates the LTE MN with the Bandcombination and/or baseband processing capability determined by the Sidelink.
Example two
In this embodiment, an idle UE enters a connected state to request a new communication mode, as shown in fig. 11, and a flow of the method is shown in fig. 12, where the method includes:
step 1: the UE sends the self capability information to the base station;
step 2: the UE sends a V2X service correlation list supported by the UE to the base station;
and step 3: the UE determines to enable an NR mode2 series communication mode;
and 4, step 4: the UE requests the base station to modify the communication mode of the UE related to the network side (namely, the NR mode2 series is determined to be enabled);
and 5: a base station determines to start an NR Uu communication mode and a sidelink-Uu duplicate function;
step 6: the base station determines the bandwidth combination and/or baseband processing capacity of the network side;
and 7: the base station informs the UE to start an NR Uu communication mode and a Sidelink-Uu duplicate function, and the Sidelink can select the Bandcombination and/or the baseband processing capability;
and 8: the UE informs the base station of the Bandcombination and/or baseband processing capability determined by the Sidelink.
The embodiment of the invention realizes that the terminal and/or the network side determine the communication mode of the terminal and the capacity dividing mode of the terminal on the communication path based on the capacity information of the terminal. Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the invention provides a method for negotiating with the terminal by the network side to determine the UE communication mode and the UE capacity division, so that the method is more suitable for the NR V2X working scene, the flexible control of the terminal on the sidelink communication mode and the capacity division is ensured, the communication mode does not completely depend on network configuration, and the communication efficiency is higher.

Claims (25)

1. A method for determining terminal capability is applied to a terminal side and comprises the following steps:
reporting the capability information of the terminal;
determining the communication mode of the terminal or determining the communication mode of the terminal together with the network side.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the capability information of the terminal comprises one or any combination of the following:
whether the terminal supports two or more communication modes simultaneously;
whether the terminal supports the simultaneous transmission of a long-term evolution sidelink LTE PC5 and a new air interface sidelink NR sidelink;
whether the terminal supports the simultaneous transmission of the Uu interface and the sidelink interface.
3. The method according to claim 2, wherein the capability information of the terminal further comprises one or any combination of the following:
a band combination list supported by the terminal;
whether a split data radio bearer split DRB transmission mode of a Uu interface and a sidelink interface is supported;
whether a packet data convergence protocol of a Uu interface and a sidelink interface is supported to copy a PDCP duplicate transmission mode;
whether the transmission mode of split DRB of LTE PC5 and NR sidelink is supported;
whether the PDCP duplicate transmission modes of LTE PC5 and NR sidelink are supported.
4. The method according to claim 2, wherein whether or not the Uu interface and the sidelink interface are supported for simultaneous transmission comprises one or any combination of the following:
whether LTE Uu and LTE PC5 simultaneous transmission is supported;
whether LTE Uu and NR sidelink simultaneous transmission is supported;
whether simultaneous transmission of NR Uu and LTE PC5 is supported;
whether simultaneous transmission of NR Uu and NR sidelink is supported.
5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:
sending a request message to a network side; the request message is used for the terminal to request the network side to modify the terminal communication mode related to the network side.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining the communication mode of the terminal comprises:
the terminal determines a communication mode of the terminal through an Internet layer V2X layer or determines a communication mode of the terminal through a Radio Resource Control (RRC) layer.
7. The method according to claim 1, wherein the determining the communication mode of the terminal or the determining the communication mode of the terminal together with the network side comprises at least one of:
receiving a first indication message sent by a network side; the first indication message is used for indicating whether a network side enables a terminal communication mode related to the network side;
and determining whether the terminal enables a terminal communication mode related to the terminal side, and informing the network side through a second indication message.
8. The method according to claim 7, wherein the network-side related terminal communication mode includes one or any combination of the following:
LTE Uu, NR Uu, LTE mode3, NR mode 1;
the terminal side related terminal communication mode comprises one or any combination of the following modes:
LTE mode4, NR mode 2a, NR mode 2b, NR mode 2c, NR mode 2d, NR mode2 series, LTEmode 3, NR mode 1.
9. A method for determining terminal capability is applied to a network side and comprises the following steps:
receiving capability information of a terminal;
and determining the communication mode of the terminal or determining the communication mode of the terminal together with the terminal.
10. The method of claim 9, further comprising:
receiving a request message of a terminal; the request message is used for the terminal to request the network side to modify the terminal communication mode related to the network side.
11. The method of claim 9, wherein the jointly determining the communication mode of the terminal comprises:
sending a first indication message to the terminal; the first indication message is used for indicating whether a network side enables a terminal communication mode related to the network side;
receiving a second indication message sent by the terminal; the second indication message is used for indicating whether the terminal enables a terminal side related terminal communication mode.
12. A method for determining terminal capability is applied to a terminal side and comprises the following steps:
reporting the capability information of the terminal;
and determining the capacity division mode of the terminal on the communication path or determining the capacity division mode of the terminal on the communication path together with the network side.
13. The method according to claim 12, wherein the capability information of the terminal comprises one or any combination of the following:
whether the terminal supports two or more communication modes simultaneously;
whether the terminal supports simultaneous transmission of LTE PC5 and NR sidelink;
whether the terminal supports the simultaneous transmission of the Uu interface and the sidelink interface.
14. The method according to claim 13, wherein the capability information of the terminal further comprises one or any combination of the following:
a band combination list supported by the terminal;
whether the split DRB transmission mode of the Uu interface and the sidelink interface is supported or not;
whether a PDCP duplicate transmission mode of a Uu interface and a sidelink interface is supported or not;
whether the transmission mode of split DRB of LTE PC5 and NR sidelink is supported;
whether the PDCP duplicate transmission modes of LTE PC5 and NR sidelink are supported.
15. The method of claim 12, wherein the determining the capability division manner of the terminal on the communication path comprises:
the terminal determines a capacity division mode on a communication path through a Radio Resource Control (RRC) layer.
16. The method according to claim 12, wherein the determining the capability division manner of the terminal on the communication path or determining the capability division manner of the terminal on the communication path together with the network side includes one or a combination of the following:
receiving a third indication message sent by a network side; the third indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capacity which is determined to be used by the Uu port by the network side;
if the Uu port capability is confirmed or the Uu port capability is recommended to be modified, sending a fourth indication message; the fourth indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability determined to be used on the sidelink to the network side.
17. A method for determining terminal capability is applied to a network side and comprises the following steps:
receiving capability information of a terminal;
and determining the capacity division mode of the terminal on the communication path, or determining the capacity division mode of the terminal on the communication path together with the terminal.
18. The method of claim 17, wherein the determining the capability division manner of the terminal on the communication path comprises:
sending a third indication message to the terminal; the third indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability used by the Uu port to be determined by the network side.
19. The method according to claim 17, wherein the determining, together with the terminal, a capability division manner of the terminal on a communication path includes:
sending a third indication message to the terminal; the third indication message is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capacity which is determined to be used by the Uu port by the network side;
receiving a fourth indication message sent by the terminal; and the fourth indication message is sent when the terminal confirms the Uu port capability or proposes to modify the Uu port capability, and is used for indicating the band combination and/or the baseband processing capability determined to be used on the sidelink to the network side.
20. An apparatus for determining terminal capability, the apparatus being applied to a terminal side and comprising:
the first reporting module is used for reporting the capability information of the terminal;
