Abstract

本发明涉及一种光纤传感器,具体涉及一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF‑SPR传感器。该光纤的包层内设有内层空气孔、外层空气孔及两个对称分布的圆形待测液通道,圆形待测液通道的内壁上镀有金膜,圆形待测液通道的外侧设有微小开口;内层空气孔和外层空气孔呈正六边形交错排列,且外层空气孔的半径大于内层空气孔的半径;光纤的材料为二氧化硅,光纤为折射率引导型光子晶体光纤。共振波长处于中红外波段,可检测低折射率待测液,能够选择性地过滤待测溶液中的微粒,体积小,易于实现传感器的微型化,平均光谱灵敏度高达8850 nm/RIU。本发明主要用于对待测溶液折射率进行检测并对溶液中化学物质进行选择性检测分析。

Description

一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF-SPR传感器
技术领域:
本发明涉及一种光纤传感器,具体涉及一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF-SPR传感器。
背景技术:
表面等离子体共振(surface plasmon resonance,SPR)传感技术是目前发展较快的一种光学传感技术。表面等离子体共振传感器除了具有光学传感器的一般特点,还有灵敏度高、无需标记、可实时检测等突出特点,在生物学、药物研发、医学诊断、能源以及环境污染等领域有着广阔的前景。光纤传感器应用前景十分广泛,不仅体积小、重量轻、易形成网络,而且抗电磁干扰、抗腐蚀、灵敏度高、光路可弯曲。然后,传统的光纤传感器仍然存在许多难以解决的缺点,如保偏性较差,耦合损耗较大,以及交叉敏感等问题,这些大大限制了传感器性能的提升。光子晶体光纤(photonic crystal fiber,PCF)是一种特殊光纤,它是以二维光子晶体为基础发展起来的。光子晶体光纤分为光子带隙型和折射率引导型两种。与传统光纤相比,光子晶体光纤有如下特点:无截止单模传输、极好的非线性、优良的双折射效应、低的有效模场面积以及设计灵活可控等。
基于表面等离子体共振的光子晶体光纤传感技术是近年来国际上兴起的一种用于检测生化物质液体的新型检测技术。PCF-SPR传感器在生物、化学、环境、医学等许多领域都有广泛的应用前景。2006年,Hassani和Skorobogatiy首次提出了PCF-SPR传感模型。从那以后,有多种PCF-SPR传感器被报道。但是,之前提出的大部分PCF-SPR传感器工作在可见光或者近红外光范围内,并且所测的待测液折射率普遍在1.3以上,这是该领域需要突破的两个难点。
发明内容:
本发明弥补和改善了上述现有技术的不足之处,提供一种能够工作在中红外波段并且可以检测低折射率待测液的光子晶体光纤表面等离子体共振传感器。
本发明采用的技术方案为:一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF-SPR传感器(PCF-SPR为光子晶体光纤表面等离子体共振的缩写),该光纤的包层内设有内层空气孔、外层空气孔及两个对称分布的圆形待测液通道,圆形待测液通道的内壁上镀有金膜,圆形待测液通道的外侧设有开口;内层空气孔和外层空气孔呈正六边形交错排列,且外层空气孔的半径大于内层空气孔的半径。
所述的外层空气孔的半径为1μm,内层空气孔的半径为0.8μm,圆形待测液通道的半径均为1μm,金膜的厚度为50nm。
所述光纤的材料为二氧化硅,光纤为折射率引导型光子晶体光纤。
所述光纤的纤芯为实芯。
本发明的有益效果:PCF-SPR(低折射率光子晶体光纤表面等离子体共振)传感器的优点如:
(1)、PCF-SPR传感器工作在中红外波段,共振波长范围是2700nm到3100nm。
(2)、PCF-SPR传感器可以检测低折射率待测溶液,其折射率范围是1.26到1.33。
(3)、PCF-SPR传感器可以通过调整圆形待测液通道的微小开口大小,选择性地过滤待测溶液中的微粒。
(4)、PCF-SPR传感器的体积小,易于实现传感器的微型化。
(5)、PCF-SPR传感器的平均光谱灵敏度高达8850nm/RIU。
(6)、PCF-SPR传感器主要用于对待测液折射率进行检测并对溶液中化学物质进行选择性检测分析。

具体实施方式:
参照各图,一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF-SPR传感器,该光子晶体光纤传感器光纤1包层内设有内层空气孔3、外层空气孔2及两个对称分布的圆形待测液通道4,圆形待测液通道4的内壁上镀有金膜6,圆形待测液通道4的外侧设有开口5;内层空气孔3和外层空气孔2呈正六边形交错排列,且外层空气孔2的半径为1μm,内层空气孔3的半径为0.8μm,圆形待测液通道4的半径均为1μm,金膜6的厚度为50nm,且空气折射率均为1;所述光纤1的材料为二氧化硅,其折射率由Sellmeier方程确定,光纤1为折射率引导型光子晶体光纤,光纤1的纤芯为实芯。
该PCF-SPR传感器是利用PCF包层左右两端的圆形待测液通道4作为传感通道,将金膜6涂覆在两个圆形待测液通道4的内壁上,然后在传感通道中填充待测液7。当入射光传入光纤1时,各种波长的光分别以某种模式在光子晶体光纤中传播,而表面等离子体波则是某种特定的模式在金膜6表面传播。当入射的某一波长的TM波与金膜6的表面等离子波具有相同的波矢时,即达到了相位匹配,此时就会在金属界面处发生能量耦合,光纤芯导模式中的光能量会减少,转移到金属表面,即产生了表面等离子体共振。通过能量吸收和波长的关系,绘制出损耗谱。表面等离子体共振对待测液7折射率的变化非常敏感,当样品折射率、温度等发生变化时,损耗谱中的共振波长和共振强度也会发生变化。通过观察该PCF-SPR传感器损耗谱的变化情况,就能检测出待测液7的折射率值,从而达到了传感的目的。
通过仿真软件建立本发明的传感模型,模拟计算其传感过程,可以得到某一波长下的光子晶体光纤基模有效折射率,该折射率是一个复数。待测液折射率为1.29时,基模有效折射率实部和虚部与波长的对应关系如图3所示。折射率虚部在波长2730nm处有最大值。
由有效折射率虚部可以求出光纤的传输损耗:
这里λ代表入射波长,单位为nm,neff代表基模有效折射率。通过这一公式得到不同待测液折射率时基模的损耗谱,损耗谱图如图4所示。当待测液折射率从1.26到1.33变化时,共振峰发生红移,且红移的距离随着折射率的变大而逐渐增加。然后,找出对应的共振波长和待测液折射率的关系,通过软件拟合,得到二者的关系式。当测量折射率的时候,只需要测出该折射率下的共振波长,即可以得到折射率的值。
本发明的平均光谱灵敏度可以通过下式求出:
这里,Δλpeak代表共振波长的改变量,Δna代表待测液折射率。由图4数据和上式可以求出,本发明的平均光谱灵敏度为8850nm/RIU。

Claims (4)

1.一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF-SPR传感器,其特征在于:该光纤传感器的光纤(1)包层内设有内层空气孔(3)、外层空气孔(2)及两个位于包层左右两端且对称分布的圆形待测液通道(4),圆形待测液通道(4)的内壁上镀有金膜(6),圆形待测液通道(4)的外侧设有开口(5);内层空气孔(3)和外层空气孔(2)呈正六边形交错排列,且外层空气孔(2)的半径大于内层空气孔(3)的半径。
2.根据权利要求1所述的一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF-SPR传感器,其特征在于:所述的外层空气孔(2)的半径为1mm,内层空气孔(3)的半径为0.8mm,圆形待测液通道(4)的半径均为1mm,金膜(6)的厚度为50nm。
3.根据权利要求1所述的一种工作在中红外波段的低折射率PCF-SPR传感器,其特征在于:所述光纤(1)的材料为二氧化硅,光纤(1)为折射率引导型光子晶体光纤。
