诸如某些燃料喷射器的某些电动阀门的机构包括一个随电动机械作动器的通电和断电而在阀体内轴向往复运动的针,从而有选择地开启和关闭通过阀门的流道。燃料喷射器一般包含一个包括电磁线圈的电磁线圈组件,当线圈通电时,控制衔铁轴向运动。通常,衔铁可滑动地安置在喷射器壳体导向孔中,并由其外球面导向,磁铁与相对于阀门座可动的阀门相连动,以控制燃油喷射。衔铁受线圈产生的电磁力的作用、可在一个方向运动,而受回复弹簧产生的力的作用,向相反方向运动。
历来,燃料喷射器至少包括由两个另件组成的衔铁针组件。衔铁由磁性材料制成,且处于磁通路中。针通常为硬化磁性材料,并用于密封,计量,或提供一导向面。因针具有不同的功能,故传统的针结构包括许多加工的精确的表面,增加了组装的复杂性和成本。
