本文所公开的实施例涉及包括农用车辆控制器的系统,该控制器构造成达到并维持由驾驶员输入的要求车轮转速。控制器采用自动效率模式(AEM)控制器来执行本文所描述的技术。控制器可通过管理功率消耗来减少发动机停转的发生。当利用功率—发动机转速曲线时,控制器可构造成使发动机转速基本匹配所要求的车轮转速。控制器可调节发动机转速和变速器挡位,以维持所要求的车轮转速并且在给定功率下将燃料消耗减到最少。控制器还可从其它部件(例如,制动器控制器等)接收信号。
在一些实施例中,控制器系统(例如,经由转速控制杆)接收驾驶员的输入。控制器系统可计算出对应的变速器输出和对应的可接受发动机转速范围。控制器系统可以确定如果期望的发动机转速大于最大发动机转速,则升挡并且收油门(例如,减小发动机转速),直到发动机转速小于最大发动机转速。如果期望的发动机转速小于最小发动机转速,则控制器系统降挡并且加油门(例如,增大发动机转速),直到期望的发动机转速大于最小发动机转速。控制器系统可控制发动机转速调节器,以通过调节喷射的燃料量来调节当前发动机转速以达到期望的发动机转速。
控制器系统可使用制动燃油消耗率(BSFC)子系统来基于发动机的最佳BSFC曲线选择期望的发动机转速。在一些实施例中,没有挡位能够使发动机转速落在最佳BSFC曲线上。在这种情况下,控制器系统可使用本文所描述的技术来使发动机转速尽可能靠近最佳BSFC曲线上的期望发动机转速。
控制器系统首先估算转矩值(例如,在升挡之后利用传动比估算)。然后,将估算出的转矩值乘以实际的发动机转速来计算出功率需求(例如,达到要求车轮转速所需的功率)。功率需求可在达到要求车轮转速(例如,处于稳定状态)之后确定。控制器系统使用BSFC子系统来确定最佳的或者期望的发动机转速(例如,期望的发动机转速或者对于给定的发动机功率而言BSFC值最低时的发动机转速)。BSFC子系统可使用BSFC查找表来确定期望的发动机转速。BSFC曲线和/或查找表可以是因发动机而异的(例如,基于发动机性能),并且可预先确定和/或保存在控制器系统内部的存储器中或者控制器系统能访问的存储器中。
如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速且如果升挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则控制器系统可指令升挡。如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速且如果降挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则控制器系统可指令降挡。在一些实施例中,如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速、如果升挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速、和/或如果没有达到最大挡位指数(例如,有更高的挡位可用),则控制器系统可指令升挡。如上所述,控制器系统可通过控制发动机转速调节器来控制发动机转速。发动机转速调节器可通过调节喷射的燃料量来调节当前发动机转速以达到期望的发动机转速。
在一些实施例中,如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速、如果降挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速、和/或如果没有达到最小挡位指数(例如,有更低的挡位可用),则控制器系统可指令降挡。
控制器系统可包括多种保护子系统。例如,控制器系统可包括最大挡位指数,以在发动机处于高负载状态下时避免发动机停转(例如,升挡保护)。控制器系统还可包括在功率(例如,功率需求)超过最大可用发动机功率的情况下降挡以减少停转发生的机构(例如,降挡保护)。控制器系统可包括功率保护子系统。例如,如果当前车轮转速低于要求车轮转速,则功率保护子系统可估算出在发生升挡的情况下的假定功率值,并且如果假定功率值高于最大可用发动机功率,则不会发生升挡。如本文所使用的,最大可用发动机功率、最大发动机转速和最小发动机转速是发动机的性能和/或是发动机的已知或者预定的特征。
考虑到前述事项,图1是具有AEM控制器的越野车辆10的实施例的透视图。在示出的实施例中,车辆10是农用拖拉机。然而,包括联合收割机、卡车等的任何合适的越野车辆可利用公开实施例的方面。在示出的实施例中,车辆10包括车身12和驾驶室14,操作员可以坐在驾驶室中来操作车辆10。车身12可容纳内燃发动机、变速器和用于驱动一个或多个车轮16的动力传动系。应当理解,在一些车辆中,车轮16可替换为履带或者其它驱动系统。如以下更详细地论述的,农用车辆10可包括控制系统30。如以下详细地论述的,控制系统30可构造成部分地基于制动燃油消耗率来进行换挡并且将发动机转速调节成期望的发动机转速。
图2示出了可用于控制图1的农用车辆10的控制系统30的实施例的框图。控制系统30包括控制器系统31,控制器系统包括发动机控制器34、拖拉机控制器36和变速器控制器38。如将理解的,控制器34、36和38可各自包括一个或多个处理器、内存装置和/或外部存储装置。此外,控制器34、36和38可通信地相互联接。在该构造中,控制器34、36和38协同工作以控制发动机42和变速器44的操作。发动机控制器34构造成控制发动机42,并且变速器控制器38构造成控制变速器44。发动机42可以是构造成向变速器系统44传递转矩的任何合适的装置。变速器控制器38可如下地指令变速器换挡(例如,升挡或者降挡)。在一些实施例中,变速器44是有级变速器,其包括多个不连续的挡位(例如,相比于无级变速器)。变速器的每个挡位具有关联的挡位指数并且在被选择时建立不同的传动比。增大挡位指数则减小传动比,并且降低挡位指数则增大传动比。如所示的,控制系统30包括用户界面48。
在示出的实施例中,发动机控制器34可从传感器接收信号,传感器构造成输出表示发动机52的状态(例如,转速)的数据。在一些实施例中,发动机控制器34可控制发动机42以使发动机维持恒定的发动机转速。农用车辆的控制器36可通信地联接至发动机控制器34和变速器控制器38。在示出的实施例中,农用车辆的控制器36包括存储器50和处理器52。存储器50可以是用于存储数据和可执行指令的任何非暂时性机器可读介质,例如,随机存取存储器、只读存储器、可重写闪速存储器、硬盘驱动器、光盘等。处理器52可执行储存在存储器50上的指令。例如,存储器50可包含机器可读的代码(例如指令),代码可由处理器52执行。在一些实施例中,例如,农用车辆控制器36的存储器50和处理器52可指令发动机控制器34和/或变速器控制器38在变速器44的挡位之间进行自动地换挡(例如,由处理器/存储器控制地),以改善制动燃油消耗率。
在示出的实施例中,可由用户(例如,经由转速控制杆、用户界面48或者其它输入装置)来设定所要求的车轮转速。用户界面48可使操作者能够选择发动机转速,和/或调节与发动机/变速器系统的操作有关的各种参数。AEM模式(例如,由控制器系统31执行的)可构造成确定对应的变速器输出和对应的期望发动机转速。例如,对应的变速器输出可以基于所要求的车轮转速、传动比和轮胎半径来确定。对应的期望发动机转速可以基于对应的变速器输出、挡位指数和当前传动比来确定。
控制器系统31首先估算转矩值(例如,在升挡之后利用传动比估算)。然后,将估算出的转矩值乘以实际的发动机转速来计算出功率需求(例如,达到要求车轮转速所需的功率)。功率需求可在达到要求车轮转速(例如,处于稳定状态)之后确定。控制器系统31使用BSFC子系统来确定最佳的发动机转速(例如,期望的发动机转速或者对于给定的功率需求而言BSFC的值最低时的发动机转速)。BSFC子系统可使用BSFC查找表来确定期望的发动机转速。BSFC曲线和/或查找表可以是因发动机而异的(例如,基于发动机性能),并且可预先确定和/或保存在控制器系统31内部的或者控制器系统31能访问的存储器中。
控制器系统31可通过控制发动机转速调节器40来控制发动机转速。发动机转速调节器40可调节发动机转速以达到所期望的车轮转速,包括在升挡或者降挡之后调节发动机转速。例如,发动机转速调节器40可通过调节喷射的燃料量来调节当前发动机转速,以达到和/或维持接近于所期望的车轮转速的车轮转速。
如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速且如果升挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则控制器系统31可指令升挡。如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速且如果降挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则控制器系统31可指令降挡。在一些实施例中,如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速、如果升挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速、和/或如果没有达到最大挡位指数(例如,有更高的挡位可用),则控制器系统31可指令升挡。
在一些实施例中,如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速、如果降挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速、和/或如果没有达到最小挡位指数(例如,有更低的挡位可用),则控制器系统31可指令降挡。

图3示出了BSFC图60,该图可由控制系统30用来确定最小制动燃油消耗率(BSFC)。功率—发动机转速曲线可从BSFC图导出(如相对于图4的论述进一步描述的)。如所示的,发动机转速是沿X轴追踪的,并且发动机转矩(牛顿·米)是沿Y轴追踪的。BSFC可表示相对于生成功率而言的燃料消耗率,并且可表示燃料的效率。BSFC图60可包括穿过各个发动机功率水平的、代表或者表示最小制动燃油消耗率的线(由线64绘出)。BSFC图60可包括BSFC的等值线(例如,线66)和功率的等值线(例如,线62)。BSFC的线64基于每条功率等值曲线62的最小BSFC值。最小制动燃油消耗率64可用于生成功率—转速曲线(如相对于图4进一步描述的)。对于每个恒定的功率水平,存在具有最小BSFC值的发动机运行条件(例如,转速和转矩)。如果系统负载方面没有变化,则控制可通过换挡至更高的挡位并且减小发动机转速或者换挡至更低的挡位并且增大发动机转速来在各恒定的功率水平上调节。如上所述,控制器系统31旨在使发动机的运行条件尽可能靠近给定运行功率水平的最小BSFC值。
图4示出了显示发动机功率与发动机转速之间关系的功率—发动机转速曲线68。最小制动燃油消耗率64可用于生成功率—转速曲线。基于功率(例如,促使农用车辆10以所要求车轮转速行驶的功率或者使得农用车辆10能以所要求车轮转速行驶的功率),可以基于功率—发动机转速曲线68来选择发动机转速(例如,通过控制器系统31)。例如,控制器系统31可确定对于给定的功率使得BSFC或者燃料消耗最低的期望发动机转速。可以为除了BSFC值以外的其它考虑来调整功率—发动机曲线。例如,在一些实施例中,作出的调整可使得发动机不在最大转矩曲线上运行(例如,以减少停转的发生)。
图5是操作控制系统30来选择挡位以调节农用车辆10发动机转速的方法70的实施例的框图。控制系统30首先接收所要求车轮转速并且驱动农用车辆10以达到所期望的车轮转速(框72)。BSFC图、功率—发动机转速曲线、和/或基于功率—发动机转速曲线生成的查找表可由控制系统30(例如,由控制器的处理器从内存装置)访问。控制系统30然后确定出在一定的功率(例如,能使农用车辆10以所要求车轮转速地行驶的功率)下提供最小BSFC的期望发动机转速(框74)。然后,控制系统30可进行换挡和/或通过发动机控制调节器来控制发动机转速,以通过调节喷射的燃料量来调节当前发动机转速以达到期望的发动机转速(框76)。控制系统30可升挡、降挡或者维持挡位。控制系统30接下来确定当前发动机转速是否不同于期望的发动机转速(框78)。如果当前发动机转速并非不同于期望的发动机转速,则控制系统30维持所选择挡位指数的挡位(框80)。如果当前发动机转速不同于期望的发动机转速且当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速,则控制系统30指令变速器降挡以使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速(框82)。如果发动机转速不同于期望的发动机转速且当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速,则控制系统30指令变速器降挡以使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速(框84)。
如上所述,在一些实施例中,控制系统30可构造成至少部分地基于所要求车轮转速来计算对应的变速器输出和对应的期望发动机转速。在一些实施例中,如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速、如果升挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速、和/或如果没有达到最大挡位指数(例如,有更高的挡位可用),则控制器系统31可指令升挡。
在一些实施例中,如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速、如果降挡将使发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速、和/或如果没有达到最小挡位指数(例如,有更低的挡位可用),则控制器系统31可指令降挡。
应当理解,本文所公开的步骤(例如,方法70的步骤)是由控制系统30的任何合适部件来执行的,例如,部件包括控制器34、36、38及其相应的处理器和存储器部件。

Claims (20)

1.一种农用车辆,包括:
发动机;
由发动机驱动的具有多个传动比的变速器;和
控制器,其构造成:
接收由操作者输入的要求车轮转速;
计算期望的发动机转速;
如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速并且如果升挡将使当前发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则指令升挡;和
如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速并且如果降挡将使当前发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则指令降挡。
2.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,要求车轮转速包括最小要求车轮转速和最大要求车轮转速。
3.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,控制器构造成访问将功率与发动机转速联系起来的查找表以确定期望的发动机转速。
4.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,控制器构造成基于多个转矩和发动机转速下的最小燃料消耗量的图来确定发动机转速。
5.根据权利要求3的系统,其中,查找表保存在控制器的存储器中。
6.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,控制器构造成如果功率超过农用车辆发动机的最大可用功率则指令降挡。
7.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,控制器构造成控制发动机转速调节器来调节喷射的燃料量以使当前车轮转速更接近于期望的车轮转速。
8.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,在每次升挡和降挡之后利用预定的时间延迟。
9.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,控制器构造成至少部分地基于传动比来计算期望的发动机转速,并且构造成当升挡的发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速时指令升挡。
10.根据权利要求1的系统,其中,控制器构造成至少部分地基于传动比来计算期望的发动机转速,并且构造成当降挡的发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速时指令降挡。
11.一种储存计算机指令的有形非暂时性计算机可读介质,当由处理器执行时,计算机指令构造成:
接收由操作者输入的要求车轮转速;
计算期望的发动机转速;
如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速并且如果升挡将使当前发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则指令升挡;和
如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速并且如果降挡将使当前发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则指令降挡。
12.根据权利要求11的计算机可读介质,其中,要求车轮转速包括最小要求车轮转速和最大要求车轮转速。
13.根据权利要求11的计算机可读介质,其中,当由处理器执行时,计算机指令构造成访问查找表。
14.根据权利要求11的计算机可读介质,其中,当由处理器执行时,计算机指令根据多个转矩和发动机转速下的最小燃料消耗量的图来确定期望的发动机转速。
15.根据权利要求11的计算机可读介质,其中,当由处理器执行时,如果功率超过农用车辆发动机的最大可用功率,则计算机指令指令降挡。
16.根据权利要求11的计算机可读介质,其中,当由处理器执行时,当升挡的发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速时,计算机指令指令升挡,并且当降挡的发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速时,计算机指令指令降挡。
17.根据权利要求11的计算机可读介质,其中,当由处理器执行时,在每次升挡和降挡之后,计算机指令利用预定的时间延迟。
18.一种操作农用车辆的方法,包括:
在处理器处接收由操作者输入的要求车轮转速;
如果当前发动机转速大于期望的发动机转速并且如果升挡将使当前发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则指令升挡;和
如果当前发动机转速小于期望的发动机转速并且如果降挡将使当前发动机转速更接近于期望的发动机转速,则指令降挡。
19.根据权利要求18的方法,其中,确定所期望的发动机转速包括访问将功率与发动机转速联系起来的查找表以确定期望的发动机转速。
20.根据权利要求18的方法,其中,确定所期望的发动机转速包括利用多个转矩和发动机转速下的最小燃料消耗量的图。
