Background
As a fourth generation of illumination, light emitting diodes (Light Emitting Diode, LEDs) are gradually moving into our lives. However, LEDs are point light sources and require secondary optical design to be applied to various lighting fixtures. With the increase of the luminous efficiency and the increase of the power of the LED, a high-power LED is becoming a mainstream product in the market. The secondary optical design of high power LEDs packaged with point light sources is an important issue.
The main difference between high-power LEDs and low-power LEDs is that: the low-power LED is often subjected to primary optical design, and the emitted light has certain directivity and a half light intensity angle; while high power LEDs are typically packaged directly without a corresponding optical design, the light emitted by them approximates a natural diffusing surface lambertian emitter. Aiming at the change of the luminous characteristics, the traditional secondary optical design method aiming at the luminous characteristics of the low-power LED can not meet the requirements of the high-power LED.

As shown in fig. 1, the prismatic surface hemispherical shell LED lamp optical mask of the present invention comprises an outer spherical shell 1, an inner spherical shell 2, and a mask bottom 5.
As shown in fig. 2, the outer shell 1 is formed of a plurality of facets. In the present embodiment, from the center to the periphery of the outer spherical shell 1, respectively: the first layer is 18 isosceles triangles uniformly distributed around the vertex, and the second layer to the fourth layer are 18 isosceles trapezoids uniformly distributed respectively; the bottom edge of each isosceles triangle is respectively connected with the upper bottom edge of one isosceles trapezoid, and the lower bottom edge of each isosceles trapezoid of the second layer and the third layer is respectively connected with the upper bottom edge of the isosceles trapezoid of the next layer. In another embodiment, the facets constituting the surface of the outer spherical shell 1 are a combination of pentagons and hexagons resembling the surface of a soccer ball.
The bottom surface of the outer spherical shell 1 is an approximate circular ring. In another embodiment, the bottom surface of the outer spherical shell 1 is an approximately elliptical ring.
The structure of the inner spherical shell 2 is the same as that of the outer spherical shell 1, and the size of the inner spherical shell 2 is smaller than that of the outer spherical shell 1. The bottoms of the inner spherical shell 2 and the outer spherical shell 1 are connected through a mask bottom 5. Through the mutual matching of the edges of the inner spherical shell 2 and the outer spherical shell 1, the invention realizes the magnitude distribution and the angle distribution of the luminous flux of the high-power LED point light source, and finally realizes that the luminous flux meets the luminous flux distribution requirement of the lamp, and simultaneously improves the luminous flux utilization rate, achieves the purpose of saving energy and improves the quality of the lamp.
