Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及液晶显示装置。
背景技术
以往,期望提高含有触摸面板等光学器件的液晶显示器的防反射性能。
目前,作为具有触摸面板的液晶显示器的防反射技术,具有专利文献1公开的技术。专利文献1中公开的液晶显示装置如图4的液晶显示装置20所示,具有将偏振光片27和相位差片26组合的圆偏振光片、安装有相位差片24的触摸面板25、由偏振光片21、23夹着液晶部22的构成的液晶面板。与通常的液晶面板同样地,从该液晶面板射出直线偏光的光。若通过触摸面板25将由圆偏振光片(26、27)形成为圆偏光的光反射,则由于反射而成为逆转的圆偏光并返回圆偏振光片(26、27)。被逆转地圆偏光的光在圆偏振光片的相位差片26成为直线偏光,但直线偏光的方向与入射时相比变化了90°而被偏振光片27吸收。由此,能够将由触摸面板25反射的光除去。在图4中,由点划线标记表示被除去的反射光。

发明内容
本发明的目的在于,将具有透明罩且在内部配置有触摸面板等光学器件的液晶显示装置的反射光大幅度削减。
本发明的液晶显示装置具有透明罩、带相位差功能的第一偏振光片、光学器件、液晶面板。带相位差功能的第一偏振光片为薄膜状,从表侧起层积盖片、偏光层、使透射光的偏光状态变化的带相位差功能的盖片。光学器件为使光透射的光学器件,在透射光产生的相位差比带相位差功能的第一偏振光片小。液晶面板在表侧的带相位差功能的第二偏振光片与背侧的偏振光片之间夹有液晶部。从表侧起依次配置透明罩、带相位差功能的第一偏振光片、光学器件以及液晶面板,带相位差功能的第一偏振光片和透明罩通过透明粘接层粘接,带相位差功能的第二偏振光片从表侧起层积有使透射光的偏光状态变化的带相位差功能的盖片、偏光层、盖片,经由透明粘接层粘接在液晶部上。
根据本发明,能够将具有透明罩且在内部配置有光学器件的液晶显示装置的反射光大幅度削减。

具体实施方式
在说明本发明的实施方式之前,对现有装置的问题点进行简单地说明。近年来,在车载用的显示器中,为了提高设计性,或者为了防止冲击时的零件飞散,需要在显示器的表面配置透明罩。
本发明者们对在具有透明罩的车载用显示器适用了专利文献1的构成的情况下,能够将反射光削减多大程度进行了探讨。于是,如图4所示可知,在该构成中不能将反射光大幅度削减。在图4的构成中,在透明罩28与空气层的界面反射的光、在偏振光片27的表面反射的光、在安装于触摸面板25的相位差片24的背面反射的光、在液晶面板的偏振光片23的表面反射的光不被除去,而向外射出。在图4中,由实线标记表示未被除去的反射光。
反射光中、在触摸面板25与液晶面板的偏振光片23之间产生的反射光通过将液晶面板和触摸面板25直接接合等其他的对策而能够削减。但是,触摸面板与液晶面板的直接接合耗费很高的成本。
以下,参照附图对本发明的实施方式进行详细地说明。另外,以下说明的实施方式为一例,本发明不由这些实施方式限定。
图1是表示本发明实施方式的液晶显示装置1的构成之一例的图。
本发明实施方式的液晶显示装置1具有透明罩7、带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6、触摸面板5、带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4、液晶部3以及偏振光片2,这些构成元件从表侧起依次配置。在本说明书中,将具有透明罩7的一侧称为表侧,将具有液晶面板18的一侧称为背侧。
带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4、液晶部3以及偏振光片2构成液晶面板18。液晶面板18由偏振光片2和带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4夹着液晶部3而构成。在液晶面板18的背侧配置背光灯。液晶面板18基于电气信号由外部的控制装置进行显示控制。
液晶部3例如由定向膜和电极板等夹着液晶材料而构成。在液晶部3的表侧的面上粘接带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4。在液晶部3的背侧的面上粘接偏振光片2。详细后述,带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4作为透明粘接层,具有OCA(Optically Clear Adhesive)层8(图2),通过OCA层8与液晶部3粘接。现有技术文献1的液晶面板的射出光为直线偏光,而本实施方式的液晶面板18的射出光通过将带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4粘接在液晶部3的表侧的构成而成为圆偏光。
透明罩7配置在液晶显示装置1的表面,保护液晶面板18及触摸面板5,保持液晶显示装置1的强度。透明罩7通过聚碳酸酯、丙烯酸或粘贴有防飞散薄膜的玻璃等而构成。在透明罩7的背面粘接带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6。详细后述,带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6作为透明粘接层具有OCA层8,通过OCA层8粘接在透明罩7上。
触摸面板5配置在液晶面板18与粘贴有带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6的透明罩7之间。触摸面板5相比于带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6,更不对透射光作用使透射光的偏光状态变化的相位差功能。触摸面板5和液晶面板18不被粘接,在其之间设有空气层。触摸面板5和带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6不被粘接,在其之间设有空气层。
图2是表示带相位差功能的第一偏振光片或带相位差功能的第二偏振光片的构成之一例的图。
带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6为具有可挠性的薄膜状构成。带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6依次层积OCA层8、盖片9、偏光层10、带相位差功能的盖片11而构成。带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6为一体的构成,各层相互不分离地紧贴。
带相位差功能的盖片11为透明且薄膜状的盖片,具有在透射光的相互正交的两个电场成分产生大致1/4波长的相位差的功能。
带相位差功能的盖片11作为盖片起到保护偏光层10的功能。带相位差功能的盖片11使向规定方向直线偏光的光变化成圆偏光,使圆偏光的光变化成直线偏光。
偏光层10使规定方向的直线偏光的光透射,将与规定方向正交的直线偏光的光吸收。
盖片9是透明的,为保护偏光层10的薄膜状罩。
OCA层8是用于将带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6向其他零件粘接的透明粘接层。
带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6以盖片9朝向表侧,带相位差功能的盖片11朝向背侧的方式粘接在透明罩7上。
带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4为与带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6同样的构成。
带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4也可以使用与带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6相同的零件,对应于粘接处的零件而使大小及形状不同。带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4和带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6为薄膜状的构成,故而能够切断而容易地改变大小和形状。
带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4以带相位差功能的盖片11朝向表侧,盖片9朝向背侧的方式粘接在液晶部3上。带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4、带相位差功能的第一偏振光片以各自的盖片9相对的方式配置。
另外,带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6或带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4也可以为省去OCA层8的构成。即,带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6或带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4也可以依次层积盖片9、偏光层10、带相位差功能的盖片11而一体构成。该情况下,带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6与其他零件的粘接、或者带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4和其他零件的粘接,也可以使用OCR(Optically Clear resin)作为透明粘接层而进行。
图3是表示液晶显示装置配置在车辆的仪表板上的一例的图。
本实施方式的液晶显示装置1例如配置在车辆的前部座椅周边的仪表板100上。液晶显示装置1的外面成为以与仪表板100的表面连续的方式具有曲面形状的设计。通过这样的设计上的制约,液晶显示装置1需要容易成形为多种形状及大小的透明罩7。
<作用>
接着,参照图1和图2对作用进行说明。
在上述液晶显示装置1中,背光灯的光通过液晶面板18的偏振光片2、液晶部3以及偏光层10而成为显示光。显示光首先通过带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4的带相位差功能的盖片11而成为圆偏光。该圆偏光的显示光在透射过触摸面板5之后,在带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6的带相位差功能的盖片11恢复成直线偏光。规定了带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6的方向,以使直线偏光的方向成为透射偏光层10的方向。因此,直线偏光的显示光透射偏光层10和透明罩7而向外射出。
从外部射入的光在透明罩7与空气层的界面、带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6与空气层的界面、触摸面板5的内部及与空气层的界面、以及液晶面板18的表面反射。其中,在透明罩7的表面反射的光直接成为可从外部看到的反射光。另外,在透明罩7与带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6的界面,也有光稍反射而向外射出的情况。
另一方面,如图1中点划线标记所示,其之外的反射光通过带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6而成为圆偏光,通过反射而成为逆转的圆偏光,成为由带相位差功能的盖片11自入射时的方向改变了90°方向的直线偏光。上述偏光被带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6的偏光层10吸收而不向外射出。
<实施方式的效果>
如上所述,实施方式的液晶显示装置1由图1和图4的反射光的比较可知,为具有透明罩7和光学器件(例如触摸面板5)的构成,且能够将进入内部的光的反射光大幅度削减。在图1及图4中,通过实线标记表示向外射出的反射光,通过点划线标记表示被除去的反射光。
另外,实施方式的液晶显示装置1能够削减光学薄膜零件的种类而实现成本的降低。即,带相位差功能的第一偏振光片6和带相位差功能的第二偏振光片4能够为同一种类的零件,故而只要是一种光学薄膜零件即可。在图4的构成中,需要偏振光片27和相位差片24、26两种光学薄膜零件。
另外,实施方式的液晶显示装置1可得到能够将显示光通过的光学构成的数量削减而减少显示光的损失的效果。在现有的显示装置中,液晶面板的偏振光片21、23及与相位差片26组合的偏振光片27构成为薄膜零件。这样的偏振光片21、23、27如图5所示,为将OCA层29、盖片30、偏光层31、盖片32层积的构成。由此可知,实施方式的液晶显示装置1与图4的构成相比,显示光透射的光学构成的数量减少。
以上,对本发明的实施方式进行了说明。
另外,在上述实施方式中,作为配置在液晶面板与透明罩之间的光学器件,表示了适用了触摸面板的例子。但是,若为不具有使透射光的偏光状态变化的功能的光学器件,则能够与触摸面板同样地适用。另外,若与带相位差功能的第一偏振光片或带相位差功能的第二偏振光片相比非常少量,也可以是使透射光的偏光状态稍变化的光学器件,在该情况下也起到同样的效果。
另外,在本实施方式中,以搭载在车辆上的液晶显示装置为例进行了说明,但本发明的液晶显示装置不限于车辆,也可以搭载在任何地方。
【产业上的可利用性】
本发明能够利用于具有透明罩的液晶显示装置。

Claims (4)

1.一种液晶显示装置,其中,
依次配置有透明罩、薄膜状的带相位差功能的第一偏振光片、使光透射的光学器件、薄膜状的带相位差功能的第二偏振光片、液晶部、偏振光片,
所述带相位差功能的第一偏振光片从所述透明罩侧起依次层积盖片、偏光层、使透射光的偏光状态变化的带相位差功能的盖片而构成,
所述光学器件在透射光产生的相位差比带相位差功能的第一偏振光片小,
所述带相位差功能的第二偏振光片从所述透明罩侧起依次层积使透射光的偏光状态变化的带相位差功能的盖片、偏光层、盖片而构成,
所述带相位差功能的第一偏振光片和所述透明罩通过透明粘接层而粘接,
所述带相位差功能的第二偏振光片经由透明粘接层粘接在所述液晶部上。
2.如权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置,其中,
所述带相位差功能的第一偏振光片及所述带相位差功能的第二偏振光片为依次层积有所述带相位差功能的盖片、所述偏光层、所述盖片以及所述透明粘接层的构成。
3.如权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置,其中,
所述带相位差功能的第一偏振光片和所述带相位差功能的第二偏振光片为同一构成,以各自的所述盖片相对的方式配置。
4.如权利要求1所述的液晶显示装置,其中,
所述光学器件为触摸面板。
