A control method of a water heater comprises a shell, wherein a liner is arranged in the shell and consists of a left end socket, a right end socket and a liner middle barrel, a water inlet pipe, a water outlet pipe and a drain outlet are arranged at the bottom of the liner, the drain outlet is connected with the drain outlet, a drain valve for controlling connection and disconnection of the drain outlet is arranged on the drain outlet, the water outlet pipe extends to the top space of the liner from the bottom of the liner, the drain outlet is arranged at the lowest point of the bottom of the liner, and the bottom of the liner inclines upwards along the drain outlet;
the control method comprises the following steps: when the liner is cleaned, the control unit of the water heater controls the water heater to simultaneously feed water from the water inlet pipe and the water outlet pipe through controlling the control valve on the water pipeline to flush the liner.
