技术领域
本发明涉及药丸分割器和使用方法。具体而言,本发明涉及用于分割不同形状和尺寸的药丸的药丸分割器。本发明还涉及减少药丸粉碎和断裂的分割药丸的方法。
背景技术
医疗保健专业人员开具处方中的药物剂量可能需要分割固体药丸或药片剂量(通常分成两半)。分割可以用于拆分剂量较大的药丸,使得患者可以将一个药片分为两个剂量,或者将半个药片分为四分之一等,从而省钱。备选地,开具的处方还可能包括剂量通常较大的药物的小剂量。用于治疗人类和动物的慢性疾病的常见药物通常使用药丸分割。大量消费者基于各种原因而需要使用处方药丸。由于在全世界的工业和新兴国家中,全球人口寿命持续延长,因此处方药丸的使用量将继续增加。

通常可以在意欲分割的药丸(例如阿司匹林)中间划线以提供断裂线,可以沿该断裂线更容易地将药丸分开,同时保持剂量的均匀性。一些药片极其坚硬,从而在切分药丸时造成半部飞散。一些药丸以不均匀的形状(例如钻石形)模制,从而难以准确地定位中心线,无法将药丸沿其切分以提供两个均匀的剂量。
目前市场上的药丸切分器普遍存在一些问题。许多药丸分割器包括V形药丸保持器装置,所述装置根据药丸与V形构型尺寸的对准来固定多种尺寸的药丸。对于具有被设计成固定多种药丸尺寸的单个容器(即,通用)的药丸切分器而言,无法将药丸牢固地固定就位,从而导致切分不均匀。此外,所述切分器造成许多药丸碎裂并且/或者留下碎屑。因此,需要一种药丸切分器,所述药丸切分器能够固定多种尺寸的药丸以用于切分,并且准确且均匀地切分所述药丸,且使碎裂、粉碎或留下碎屑最少。

仍然需要适用于消费者的药丸和药片切分器,能够随意选择药丸尺寸和形状而无需更换装置的任何部件,并且还能够安全切分单个剂量以供使用者使用。
发明内容

如图1至图5中所示,在某些优选实施例中,本发明的药丸分割器100包括壳体200、盖300、可缩回刀片400和具有多个药腔503的可旋转药盒500,所述药腔具有多个不同的形状和尺寸。壳体200包括壳体平台204,该壳体平台与壳体后部支承部211和壳体前壁201整体形成。附接到后部壳体支承部211的外部的铰链101均包括位于壳体铰链凸片210中的槽212,该槽被配置成接收相应的盖铰链凸片102的钉103。

进一步如图8A至图8C中所示,每个药腔503都被切分槽508二等分,该切分槽提供刀片通过腔的通道以切分药丸。当被正确安装到壳体200上时,槽508与刀片对准。圆柱形或管形的突出部或凸台在壳体200的基部上形成盒安装件205(图5)。安装件205定位成与基部以及药盒500的水平面垂直。位于盒安装件205外周上的键形止动件209迫使药盒与刀片壳体303对准。就这方面而言,一个或多个锁定槽501围绕安装孔502的内周布置,当被选择时,每个锁定槽都与键形止动件209相接合,以将药盒锁定就位。此外,锁定凸片504通过切分槽508的下侧与形成在盒上部和盒下部的脊506相接合,并且对准键510还与位于盒上部505上的对准锁定槽相配合。这些锁定特征共同将药盒的两个半部牢固地固定在一起,以用于安装在药丸分割器的壳体上。这种对准将药盒和药腔牢固地保持在药丸分割器刀片的下方。
示例1
在根据本发明的多尺寸药丸分割器的对比评价中,使用本发明(装置A)和Apothecary Products,LLC,Burnsville,MN销售的具有V形药丸保持器组件的药丸切分装置(装置B)将选定数量的药片切分成两半。代表性的结果示于下表1中、以及图9A和图9B中。图9A分别包括切分(1)苯海拉明、(2)氧可酮和(3)布洛芬样本的可见观察结果。图9B示出了切分普通感冒粘液药物样本的其它结果(同样适用本发明和对照装置B切分)。

根据本发明的多尺寸药丸分割器(装置A)用于将半片的氧可酮、处方麻醉用药分为四分之一片。为了比较,还使用示例1中所使用的具有V形药丸保持器组件的药丸切分器(装置B)和药丸切分器/压碎装置(装置C)(两个装置均由Apothecary Products,LLC,Burnsville,MN销售)来分割同种药物的药丸半部。通过下表2能够观察到切分样本之后的结果。

在使用方法中,使用者打开药丸切分器并且在药盒中选择与将被切分的药丸单元的尺寸和形状相匹配的药腔。就这方面而言,药丸单元还可以是药丸半部或者将被进一步分割的其它部分。药丸单元被放置在药腔中。随后通过在位于壳体上的盒安装件205的键形止动件209上方滑动安装孔502将盒安装在壳体上。这迫使选择的药腔503与刀片400对准。
上文所描述的本发明可以用于分割具有0.2至0.5英寸之间的标称直径、和0.25至0.9英寸之间的标称长度的处方药丸。然而,应当认识到,能够获得多种备选标准的药丸尺寸和形状,并且该组件的药盒和药丸切分器也能够适用于所述产品。因此,不同的尺寸、材料、和制造技术可以用于根据本发明配置药丸分割器以适应所述药丸。优选地,本文中的尺寸、材料、和制造技术包括其它合适的特性,例如强度、耐久性、轻质、耐热性、化学惰性、抗氧化性、或者本领域技术人员理解的其它有益的特性。
上文对特定实施例的描述并非旨在对本公开的范围构成限制,而是为了说明由本发明来实施的广义的理念。本领域技术人员应当领会,本发明能够构想本文中所描述的其各个实施例及其等同形式。本领域普通技术人员还应当领会,应当通过所附权利要求以及本文中所描述的实施例来考量本发明的范围。
工业实用性
大量消费者基于各种原因需要使用药丸形式的处方或非处方药物。药丸用量有望随着全球工业和新兴国家的全球人口寿命持续延长而增加,并且因此修改剂量的需求将继续增加。本发明通过具有更大准确度并且减少碎裂的药丸分割器以及将药丸切分成均匀剂量的方法而满足了该需求。本发明旨在用于能够被分割而不会降低或弱化治疗效果的固体剂量,而不是用于胶囊、或者定时释放药物的药丸或药片。

Claims (10)

1.一种将药丸分成均匀剂量部分以用于治疗人类或动物的药丸分割器,其包括:
a.壳体,其特征还在于从所述壳体的基部垂直突起的盒安装件;
b.盖,其特征在于布置于其中的用于保持和移除药丸单元的部分的进入端口;
其特征在于:
c.可旋转药盒,所述可旋转药盒具有彼此可分离的顶侧和下侧,所述顶侧和所述下侧均具有布置于其中的多个药腔,所述多个药腔被布置成保持不同形状和尺寸的药丸;其中所述多个药腔被布置在所述可旋转药盒的相对侧上;并且进一步地其中所述可旋转药盒安装于所述盒安装件上;
d.刀片,所述刀片布置在所述壳体内,相对于所述盖定位在近侧并且通过所述盖的打开或闭合沿弧形向上或向下移动;和
e.位于所述刀片内的可缩回刀片,所述可缩回刀片被包裹在可缩回刀片防护件之间,当所述盖闭合时,所述可缩回刀片露出并且沿弧形向下延伸通过刀片壳体,从而通过所述药腔的中心线。
2.根据权利要求1所述的药丸分割器,其中所述可旋转药盒的所述药腔中的每一个都被与所述药丸单元的中心分割线相对应的药丸切分槽横穿。
3.根据权利要求1所述的药丸分割器,其中所述可旋转药盒的特征还在于盘形安装孔和围绕所述盘形安装孔的外周的锁定槽,并且所述药盒通过与位于所述盒安装件上的键形止动件对准来与所述壳体对准。
4.根据权利要求1所述的药丸分割器,其特征还在于所述可旋转药盒具有圆形形状。
5.根据权利要求1所述的药丸分割器,其特征还在于所述可缩回刀片具有弯曲并且带有斜面的边缘。
6.一种在药丸分割器中使用的可旋转和可移除药盒,其特征在于第一部分和第二部分,所述第一部分中配置有多个药腔、对准锁定槽和横穿所述药腔的药丸切分槽,所述第二部分中配置有多个药腔、锁定凸片和横穿所述药腔的药丸切分槽;其中,所述第一部分和所述第二部分联结在一起,以通过对准所述对准锁定槽和所述锁定凸片来组装所述药盒。
7.一种药丸分割器,其特征在于其包括根据权利要求6所述的药盒。
8.一种使用根据权利要求1、2、3、4或5所述的药丸分割器来分割药丸以提供减小的均匀剂量的方法,其特征在于以下步骤:
a.选择将被切分成均匀剂量的药丸单元;
b.选择可旋转盒的药腔并且将所述药丸放入选择的腔中;
c.闭合所述药丸分割器的所述盖以露出所述可缩回刀片并且使所述可缩回刀片与所述药腔的中心分割线相接合,由此将所述药丸单元切分成相等部分;以及
d.从所述药丸分割器的所述盖内的所述进入端口移除被切分的药丸部分。
9.根据权利要求1所述的药丸分割器,其特征还在于所述可旋转药盒的所述顶侧和底侧调换、组装并且安装于所述盒安装件上。
10.一种使用根据权利要求6所述的可旋转药盒来分割药丸的方法。
