润肺止咳是指使用养阴润肺中药治疗阴虚咳嗽，也是中医的一种治疗效果。咳嗽是呼吸道疾病最常见的一种症状。咳嗽是人体一种保护性防御功能。通过咳嗽，可以排出呼吸道的分泌物或侵入气管内的异物。仅有咳嗽而无痰的称为干咳，可见于多种疾病。
