Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of medical instruments, in particular to a multifunctional pain scale and an operation method thereof.
Background
Pain is an unpleasant subjective experience with nociceptive stimuli acting on the body, with sensory, perceptual and emotional reactions. The lack of adequate pain assessment is one of the major factors in the inadequate treatment of pain, and assessment is a critical first step in pain management. Since pain is a subjective feeling that is only experienced by the individual suffering from pain, patient self-reporting is the most accurate and effective method of pain assessment. Clinically, the scale of pain assessment is the main tool for judging pain of patients.
The traditional pain scale mainly comprises a visual simulation scale, a digital evaluation scale, a facial expression scale and a character description scale.
The visual simulation scale is a straight line measuring scale, 0 represents no pain, and 100 represents severe pain. When the pain-relieving. Is generally used to describe the pain intensity within the patient's current or past 24 hours. VAS (Visual analog scale/Score, Visual analog scoring method) has the characteristics of simplicity, rapidness, accuracy, convenience in operation and the like, and is widely applied to clinical application. Studies have shown that patients only take one minute to complete the VAS pain score. Although the measurement method of the VAS is simple and effective, it requires a patient to have a better abstract thinking, and marking lines with a pen requires necessary sensing ability and motor coordination ability, so the VAS is suitable for patients over seven years old, and is not suitable for pain assessment of educated patients or those with cognitive impairment.
The digital evaluation scale is composed of 11 points of 0-10, the number is from low to high and indicates that the pain is from no pain to the most pain, the 0 point indicates no pain, the 10 point indicates severe pain, the patient selects the value of no pain to quantify the pain degree, and the higher the score is, the higher the pain intensity is. This method is simpler than VAS, takes less time to evaluate, is easy to record, and is easily accepted and understood by patients. Suitable for adult patients, but not for children without numerical concept.
The facial expression scale with a plurality of non-painful facial expressions in a horizontal arrangement was used to evaluate pain levels in children by selecting facial expressions representative of their pain intensity for pain scoring. The FPS (facial expression Scale) can be used for evaluating the Pain intensity of adults and old people with low culture degree by modifying the FPS (facial expression Scale) to be closer to the expression of normal people, but requires careful recognition of patients during evaluation.
The written description scale is a line divided equally into 5 segments, each point having a corresponding text describing pain, ranging from no pain, mild pain, moderate pain, severe pain, very severe pain to intolerable pain. The subject selects appropriate words describing his pain according to his pain level. The words of the method are easy to understand, can be orally expressed at any time, are convenient to communicate, meet the psychological needs of patients, but are difficult to apply to people with low cultural degree or unknown characters.
The currently used pain scales all have various defects, so that the pain scales cannot be used for accurately evaluating various crowds, the passing performance is not strong, and the test is not accurate enough.
