本发明包括用于提供视觉反馈以促进多代码(例如,条形码)读取(即,扫描)的系统和方法。
代码,诸如条形码(例如,线性条形码,二维条形码)已在各种各样的应用(例如,运输)中发现用途。多个代码被越来越多地固定到相同物品以传达有关不同用户的信息和/或在不同时间(例如,运输过程的不同阶段)有关的信息。多个条形码经常被布置在一串(即,集合)中,以使得扫描每个条形码变得更容易。代码集可包括相同符号体系的多个代码(例如,所有代码都是线性条形码)或可以包括混合符号体系的多个代码(例如,一些代码是线性条形码并且一些代码是二维条形码)。

在一些情况下,多代码扫描可能导致集合(即,串)中的一个或多个条形码具有不成功的扫描。在不具有反馈的情况下,失败的多代码扫描可能需要重新扫描集合中的所有代码,或者在最坏的情况下,个体地扫描集合中的每个代码。
成像条形码扫描仪可以具有用于示出视场的视觉显示器。在一些情况下,也可以使用图形用户界面(即,GUI)显示关于扫描结果的反馈。然而,本发明包括用于以更直观和人体工程学的方式生成关于多代码扫描的结果的反馈的系统/方法。具体而言,关于多代码扫描的反馈可以使用集成有成像扫描仪的投影仪来投影。投影反馈可适用和被调整,使得代码集中的每个代码可以具有投影到其上的对应反馈消息。这个反馈消息可以提供关于每个条形码扫描的信息,该信息在空间上与代码集对准并在用户已经正在看的物品上。在该反馈中的信息可以允许用户识别损坏的代码(即,标记),并重新扫描或采取另一改正的动作(例如,手动输入一些数据)。
用于利用成像条形码扫描仪进行读取的具有代码集合(即,代码集)的示例性运输标签在图1中示出。运输标签1包括相同符号体系的几个代码(即线性条形码)2、3、4、5,用于在运输过程期间扫描。配置用于多代码扫描的成像条形码扫描仪可以利用一次扫描读取这些代码,只要这些代码被包含在扫描仪的视场内。在该示例性代码集中,一个条形码经受印刷错误。该错印的条形码3可能未成功扫描。
在扫描已被触发之后,运输标签的数字图像由成像条形码扫描仪捕获。图像中的代码被使用处理器检测和读取,该处理器与成像扫描仪集成在一起或经由数据通信链路以通信方式耦合到成像扫描仪。在读取代码后,运行算法的处理器基于读取结果给每个代码分配状态。如果代码被成功地读取,则肯定状态被分配给代码,而如果代码未成功读取(即,读取错误),则否定状态被分配给代码。所述处理器配置成像扫描仪中的投影子系统以把视觉反馈投影到扫描仪的视场中。在图2中示出与关于每个代码的读取状态的投影的视觉反馈6、7、8、9、10重叠的、运输标签1上的示例性代码2、3、4、5。针对被成功读取的条形码的视觉反馈将是肯定反馈,而针对未成功读取的条形码的视觉反馈将是否定反馈。如图2中所示,肯定和否定反馈图像(即,消息)二者都同时被投影到运输标签1上。这个示例性实施例中的肯定反馈是包围代码的框。盒7、9、10(即肯定反馈消息)被投影在没有印刷错误的条形码2、4、5上,而“X”(即否定反馈消息)8被投影到具有印刷错误的条形码3上。肯定和否定反馈可以以多种方式体现。虽然反馈应该暗示肯定或否定信息,但它并不局限于特定形状和/或形式(即,文本或图形)。

具有视觉反馈的多代码读取系统的示例性框图在图3中示出。为了扫描多代码,读取系统15可以被定位成在其视场12中具有目标11(或反之亦然)。为了读取代码和提供视觉反馈,多代码读取系统15利用各种子部件/子系统。
投影子系统把反馈图像投影到印刷在(或固定到)目标11上的代码上。投影子系统包括投影仪17。投影仪17包括光源以生成光并辐射光。光源可以是激光二极管(LD)或发光二极管(LED)。所述光源生成处于可见(VIS)光谱的一部分内的光辐射。投影仪17还可以包括光调制器,以创建反馈图像。光调制器可以是反射性的(如,数字光处理MEMS装置)或透射性的(例如,液晶空间光调制器)。投影透镜(或透镜组)16被放置在投影仪17的前面,以将光聚焦到投影视场13中并且把投影的光聚焦到目标上。投影透镜16可以是固定焦点或可变(例如,自动)焦点的。
成像子系统捕获定位到成像视场14中的物品的图像。为了实现这一点,成像子系统可以使用成像透镜20来把成像视场14的真实图像呈现到图像传感器21上。该成像视场14与投影视场13(至少部分地)重叠。图像传感器21可以是电荷耦合装置(即CCD)或使用互补金属氧化物半导体(即,CMOS)技术的传感器。图像传感器21包括多个像素,该像素采样真实图像并把真实图像强度转换成电子信号。

处理器18以通信方式耦合到投影子系统和成像子系统(例如,耦合到控制投影和成像子系统的DSP)。处理器18可以以各种方式被体现,诸如(但不限于)一个或多个控制器、数字信号处理器(DSP)、专用集成电路(ASIC)、可编程门阵列(PGA)和/或可编程逻辑控制器(PLC)。
处理器18通常由存储在存储器24(例如,只读存储器(ROM)、闪速存储器、随机存取存储器(RAM)和/或硬盘驱动器)中的软件(例如,代码读取程序)来配置。该软件在被处理器18执行时配置多代码读取系统以便:(ⅰ)从存储器24检索数字图像,(ii)检测数字图像内的代码,(iii)读取每个检测到的代码,(iv)基于每个代码的读取结果从反馈图像的集合(存储在存储器中)选择(针对每个代码)反馈图像,以及(v)把所选择的反馈图像投影到合适的代码上。
多代码读取系统15还可以包括用户接口25,用于把信息传输给用户并且从用户接收输入(例如,触发扫描)。用户接口25可以包括接口元件(例如,触摸按钮、触摸屏、触发开关等)。
多代码读取系统15还可以包括通信子系统19,用于向分离的计算装置和/或存储装置传输信息和从分离的计算装置和/或存储装置接收信息。该通信子系统可以是有线或无线的,并且利用各种协议(例如,IEEE802.11,包括WI-FI®、BLUETOOTH®、CDMA、TDMA或GSM)实现通信。

该方法开始于利用成像条形码扫描仪捕获视场中代码(例如,线性条形码、二维条形码等)集合的数字图像30。成像条形码扫描仪可以是单用途装置(例如,手持式扫描仪)、多用途装置(例如,移动计算装置)中的操作模式、或较大系统(例如,销售点系统)的一部分。

Claims (15)
1.一种具有视觉反馈的多代码读取系统,所述系统包括:
成像器,用于捕获视场中代码集的数字图像,代码集包括被印刷在目标上或固定到目标的多个代码;
投影仪,用于把从反馈图像的集合选择的反馈图像投影到所述多个代码中的每个代码上;
存储器,用于存储所述数字图像、反馈图像的集合、和代码读取程序;和
处理器,以通信方式耦合到所述成像器、投影仪和存储器,其中所述处理器由代码读取程序配置以便:
(i)从存储器检索数字图像,
(ii)检测所述数字图像内的代码,
(iii)读取每个检测到的代码,
(iv)针对每个代码,从反馈图像的集合选择反馈图像,所述选择基于代码的读取结果,以及
(v)把所述代码的所选择的反馈图像投影到被印刷在目标上或固定到目标的每个代码上。
2.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中所述代码集包括相同符号体系的多个代码。
3.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中所述代码集包括混合符号体系的多个代码。
4.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中所述反馈图像的集合包括框,所述框具有与代码对应的边缘。
5.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中所述反馈图像的集合包括用于覆盖代码的“X”。
6.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中,所述反馈图像的集合包括具有与代码对应的边缘的框和用于覆盖代码的“X”,其中(i)所述框被投影到被正确读取的代码上,(ii)所述“X”被投影到被错误读取的代码上,以及(iii)没有内容被投影到未被检测的代码上。
7.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中所述反馈图像的集合包括具有与视场对应的边缘的框。
8.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中投影仪包括发光二极管(LED)。
9.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中投影仪包括激光器。
10.根据权利要求1的多代码读取系统,其中代码集包括条形码。
11.一种用于使用成像条形码扫描仪提供关于多代码扫描的视觉反馈的方法,所述方法包括:
利用成像条形码扫描仪捕获视场的数字图像,所述视场包括供读取的被印刷在目标上或固定到目标的代码集合;
检测所述数字图像内的代码;
读取每个代码;
确定每个代码的代码状态,所述代码状态具有:(i)代码被读取情况下的肯定状态和(ii)读取代码的尝试失败情况下的否定状态;和
把视觉反馈投影到视场中,其中视觉反馈包括:(i)肯定反馈消息,被投影到具有肯定状态的被印刷在目标上或固定到目标的代码上;和(ii)否定反馈消息,被投影到具有否定状态的被印刷在目标上或固定到目标的代码上。
12.根据权利要求11的方法,其中,所述代码集合包括二维条形码。
13.根据权利要求11的方法,其中,所述代码集合包括线性条形码。
14.根据权利要求11的方法,其中肯定反馈消息包括框,所述框具有与代码对应的边缘。
15.根据权利要求11的方法,其中,所述否定反馈消息包括用于覆盖代码的“X”。
