本发明提供一种像素结构及液晶显示面板,设置红色子像素(R)与绿色子像素(G)的面积相等,蓝色子像素(B)的面积小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积,白色子像素(W)的面积不小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积。通过调整红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)的面积比例,减小蓝色子像素(B)的面积,相对增大白色子像素(W)的面积,能够调整RGBW液晶显示面板中的白点坐标,使白点坐标更接近于期望值,解决显示画面偏蓝的问题,改善了画面显示质量,并进一步提高了液晶显示面板的透光率。

技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种像素结构及液晶显示面板。
背景技术
液晶显示器(Liquid Crystal Display,LCD)具有机身薄、省电、无辐射等众多优点,得到了广泛的应用,如:液晶电视、移动电话、个人数字助理(PDA)、数字相机、计算机屏幕或笔记本电脑屏幕等,在平板显示领域中占主导地位。
显示面板是LCD平板显示装置的重要组成部分。对LCD而言,其液晶显示面板的结构一般是由一彩色滤光片基板(Color Filter,CF)、一薄膜晶体管阵列基板(Thin FilmTransistor Array Substrate,TFT Array Substrate)、以及一配置于两基板间的液晶层(Liquid Crystal Layer)所构成,其工作原理是通过在两片玻璃基板上施加驱动电压来控制液晶层的液晶分子的旋转,将背光模组提供的光线折射出来产生图像。
传统的液晶显示面板具有多个呈矩阵式排列的像素,每一像素包括红(Red,R)、绿(Green,G)、蓝(Blue,B)三个子像素。由于现有技术中所采用的R、G、B彩色滤光片都是吸收型色阻层,当光线入射时,只有相应颜色的光才能透过,而另外两种颜色的光均被吸收,使得显示面板的透光率较低、亮度不足,RGB三原色的混合效率也较低,导致显示面板的功耗大,制约了显示面板的优化。由此,出现了在一个像素内形成红、绿、蓝、白(White,W)四个子像素的显示技术。
图1所示为现有的采用RGBW技术的液晶显示面板的像素结构,其具有多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元由红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W构成。红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W沿水平方向从左至右依次排列于一个像素单元中,且红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W的面积均相同,其中,白色子像素W为透明光阻,透光率可以达到99%以上。由于白色子像素W的加入,使液晶显示面板的透光率得到极大的提升,能够降低背光功耗。
但是,现有的采用RGBW技术的液晶显示面板中,由于增加了白色子像素W,导致红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、与蓝色子像素B的输出值均减小,从而在图像整体亮度维持不变时,其色彩饱和度下降。此外,由于现有RGBW技术的R、G、B三原色子像素混合成的白色纯度与白色子像素W的白色纯度不一样,导致现有RGBW技术的白色较仅有RGB三原色子像素的显示面板的白色存在偏移,造成显示效果偏蓝。
现有RGBW显示面板的白色是由R、G、B三原色子像素混合成的白色与W子像素的白色混合而成。当现有RGBW显示面板与传统RGB显示面板的背光源频谱、偏光片、液晶、彩色滤光片频谱等均相同,仅像素结构不同时,各白点坐标如图2所示,其中s代表现有RGBW显示面板的白点坐标,s1代表现有RGBW显示面板中R、G、B三原色子像素混合成的白点坐标,s2代表现有RGBW显示面板中W子像素的白点坐标,s’代表传统RGB显示面板的白点坐标,std代表期望的白点坐标,其中std允许的坐标偏差范围为(0.280±0.01,0.290±0.01)。通过量测,现有RGBW显示面板的透光率为7.95%。各白点坐标在CIE1931色坐标体系中的坐标位置如图3、图4所示,现有RGBW显示面板的白点坐标s相比期望的白点坐标std的横坐标值与纵坐标值均偏小,向蓝色偏移,导致显示画面偏蓝。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种像素结构,能够调整RGBW液晶显示面板中的白点坐标,解决显示画面偏蓝的问题,并进一步提高液晶显示面板的透光率。

为实现上述目的,本发明提供一种像素结构,包括多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元包括红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、与白色子像素;各个像素单元中,红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、与白色子像素以相同的次序沿水平方向排列;

本发明的有益效果:本发明提供的一种像素结构及液晶显示面板,通过调整红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、与白色子像素的面积比例,减小蓝色子像素的面积,相对增大白色子像素的面积,能够调整RGBW液晶显示面板中的白点坐标,使白点坐标更接近于期望值,解决显示画面偏蓝的问题,改善了画面显示质量,并进一步提高了液晶显示面板的透光率。

本发明提供一种像素结构,图5所示为本发明的像素结构的第一实施例,包括多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元包括红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W。各个像素单元中,红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W以相同的次序沿水平方向排列。
所述红色子像素R与绿色子像素G的面积相等,所述蓝色子像素B的面积小于红色子像素R或绿色子像素G的面积,所述白色子像素W的面积不小于红色子像素R或绿色子像素G的面积。在该第一实施例中,所述白色子像素W的面积等于红色子像素R或绿色子像素G的面积,优选的,所述红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W的面积的比例设置为1.14:1.14:0.58:1.14。

该液晶显示面板将所述红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W的面积的比例设置为1.14:1.14:0.58:1.14,通过色度模拟,该液晶显示面板的白点坐标调整为(0.282,0.292),相比现有的RGBW液晶显示面板的白点坐标s(0.263,0.260)更接近期望的白点坐标std(0.280,0.290),且与期望的白点坐标std的偏差非常小,能够解决显示画面偏蓝的问题,改善画面显示质量。另外,由于所述蓝色子像素B的透光率最低,将红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W的面积的比例设置为1.14:1.14:0.58:1.14,即减小了蓝色子像素B的面积,同时相对增大了白色子像素W的面积,总体上提高了面板的透光率,透光率可以由现有的7.95%提高到8.83%。
图6所示为本发明的像素结构的第二实施例,包括多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元包括红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W。各个像素单元中,红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W以相同的次序沿水平方向排列。
所述红色子像素R与绿色子像素G的面积相等,所述蓝色子像素B的面积小于红色子像素R或绿色子像素G的面积,所述白色子像素W的面积不小于红色子像素R或绿色子像素G的面积。在该第二实施例中,所述白色子像素W的面积大于红色子像素R或绿色子像素G的面积,优选的,所述红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W的面积的比例设置为1:1:0.4~0.5:1.5~1.6。
优选的,各个像素单元中,沿水平方向从左至右依次排列红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W。
基于上述像素结构,本发明还提供一种液晶显示面板,该液晶显示面板具有上述如图6所示的像素结构,此处不再对图6所示的像素结构进行重复描述。
该液晶显示面板将所述红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W的面积的比例设置为1:1:0.4~0.5:1.5~1.6,通过色度模拟,该液晶显示面板的白点坐标调整为(0.281,0.291),进一步缩小了与期望的白点坐标std(0.280,0.290)的偏差,能够更好地解决显示画面偏蓝的问题,改善画面显示质量。另外,由于所述蓝色子像素B的透光率最低,将红色子像素R、绿色子像素G、蓝色子像素B、与白色子像素W的面积的比例设置为1:1:0.4~0.5:1.5~1.6,进一步减小了蓝色子像素B的面积,增大了白色子像素W的面积,提高了面板的透光率,透光率可以由现有的7.95%进一步提高到9.9%~10.3%。
综上所述,本发明的像素结构及液晶显示面板,通过调整红色子像素、绿色子像素、蓝色子像素、与白色子像素的面积比例,减小蓝色子像素的面积,相对增大白色子像素的面积,能够调整RGBW液晶显示面板中的白点坐标,使白点坐标更接近于期望值,解决显示画面偏蓝的问题,改善了画面显示质量,并进一步提高了液晶显示面板的透光率。
以上所述,对于本领域的普通技术人员来说,可以根据本发明的技术方案和技术构思作出其他各种相应的改变和变形,而所有这些改变和变形都应属于本发明权利要求的保护范围。

Claims (8)

1.一种像素结构,其特征在于,包括多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元包括红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W);各个像素单元中,红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)以相同的次序沿水平方向排列;
所述红色子像素(R)与绿色子像素(G)的面积相等,所述蓝色子像素(B)的面积小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积,所述白色子像素(W)的面积不小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积;
所述白色子像素(W)的面积等于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积,所述红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)的面积比例为1.14:1.14:0.58:1.14。
2.如权利要求1所述的像素结构,其特征在于,各个像素单元中,沿水平方向从左至右依次排列红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)。
3.一种像素结构,其特征在于,包括多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元包括红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W);各个像素单元中,红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)以相同的次序沿水平方向排列;
所述红色子像素(R)与绿色子像素(G)的面积相等,所述蓝色子像素(B)的面积小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积,所述白色子像素(W)的面积不小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积;
所述白色子像素(W)的面积大于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积,所述红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)的面积比例为1:1:0.4~0.5:1.5~1.6。
4.如权利要求3所述的像素结构,其特征在于,各个像素单元中,沿水平方向从左至右依次排列红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)。
5.一种液晶显示面板,其特征在于,具有多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元包括红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W);各个像素单元中,红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)以相同的次序沿水平方向排列;
所述红色子像素(R)与绿色子像素(G)的面积相等,所述蓝色子像素(B)的面积小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积,所述白色子像素(W)的面积不小于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积;
所述白色子像素(W)的面积等于红色子像素(R)或绿色子像素(G)的面积,所述红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)的面积比例为1.14:1.14:0.58:1.14。
6.如权利要求5所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,各个像素单元中,沿水平方向从左至右依次排列红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)。
7.一种液晶显示面板,其特征在于,具有多个呈阵列式排布的像素单元,每一像素单元包括红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W);各个像素单元中,红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)以相同的次序沿水平方向排列;

8.如权利要求7所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,各个像素单元中,沿水平方向从左至右依次排列红色子像素(R)、绿色子像素(G)、蓝色子像素(B)、与白色子像素(W)。
