技术领域
本发明涉及液晶显示技术领域,特别是涉及阵列基板及其驱动方法。
背景技术
与传统的RGB像素结构的液晶显示面板相比,RGBW像素结构的液晶显示面板由于加入作为补偿光子像素的W子像素(白色像素),使其具有更高的穿透率,能够降低背光功耗,从而降低成本,具有较好的发展前景。
如图1所示,现有的RGBW像素结构的液晶显示面板中,每个像素单元包括R子像素、G子像素、B子像素以及W子像素,R子像素、G子像素、B子像素以及W子像素沿行方向依次排列。多条扫描线G1~Gn沿列方向排列依次排列,多条数据线D1~Dn沿行方向依次排列,每个子像素位于一条扫描线G和一条数据线D交叉定义的空间里。
液晶显示面板的驱动方式通常采用列反转方式。在列反转驱动方式中,对于RGB像素结构的面板而言,在一个扫描周期结束之后,下一个扫描周期未开始之前,同一列的子像素所存储的电压极性都相同,而左右相邻的两列子像素所存储的电压极性相反。由于RGB像素结构中,每个像素单元包括RGB三个子像素,为奇数,因此在驱动一行像素单元时,相邻的同种类型的两个子像素的电压极性也是相反,由此可以相互抵消同种类型的子像素对公共电极电压的耦合影响,极大降低液晶显示面板的水平串扰。
而对于RGBW像素结构的液晶显示面板而言,在行方向上,相邻两个像素单元的RGBW子像素的电压极性呈镜像,如图1所示,在扫描线G1所驱动的一行子像素中,数据线D1-D4分别连接的RGBW子像素的电压极性分别是“+、-、+、-”,而数据线D5-D8分别连接的RGBW子像素的电压极性分别是“-、+、-、+”,从而使得相邻的同种类型的两个子像素的电压极性相反,以降低对公共电极电压的耦合影响,从而降低面板的水平串扰。
在上述像素结构中,每个子像素位于两条数据线之间,如图2所示,以数据线D4连接的W子像素为例,W子像素的像素电极和数据线D4间存在寄生电容Cp1,W子像素的像素电极Pw和数据线D5间存在寄生电容Cp2。而在上述RGBW像素结构的液晶显示面板的驱动中,将会导致W子像素和R子像素的电压极性相同,即W子像素两侧相邻的数据线的D4、D5的极性相同,使得数据线对W子像素的像素电极的电容耦合效应加强,从而改变W子像素的像素电极的电压,即产生垂直串扰,造成W子像素的亮度改变。而W子像素通常是显示白色,用以补偿画面亮度,具有高亮度,因此W子像素些许的灰阶变化将会导致亮度的较大变化,使得人眼更容易察觉亮度的改变,造成所看到的画面质量差的观看感。
发明内容
本发明主要解决的技术问题是提供一种阵列基板及其驱动方法,能够减小画面亮度变化,提高画面质量。
为解决上述技术问题,本发明采用的一个技术方案是:提供一种液晶显示面板的阵列基板,包括沿行方向设置的多条扫描线、沿列方向设置的多条数据线以及由所述扫描线和所述数据线定义的呈阵列排列的多个子像素,所述扫描线和所述数据线对应于液晶显示面板的彩膜基板上的黑色矩阵设置,所述多个子像素划分为沿行方向周期性排列的不同颜色的多个子像素列,其中至少一子像素列为补偿光子像素列,其中在同一画面帧内,同一子像素列的电压极性相同,所述补偿光子像素列两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反;所述多个子像素沿从所述扫描线的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列,在同一画面帧内,每一排列周期内的各子像素列上的驱动电压极性与相邻排列周期内的对应颜色的子像素列上驱动电压极性相反,同一排列周期内的所述第一基色光子像素列、所述第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列的驱动电压极性相同,且与所述第二基色光子像素列的驱动电压极性相反。
其中,所述多个子像素沿从所述扫描线的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列,其中所述第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列分别由靠近所述扫描线的所述一端的相邻数据线施加所述驱动电压,所述补偿光子像素列的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期的所述第三基色光子像素列的驱动电压极性相同,且与靠近所述扫描线的所述另一端的相邻排列周期的所述第一基色光子像素列的驱动电压极性相反。
其中,所述第一基色光子像素列、所述第二基色光子像素列、所述第三基色光子像素列、所述补偿光子像素列分别为红光子像素列、绿光子像素列、蓝光子像素列以及白光子像素列。
为解决上述技术问题,本发明采用的又一个技术方案是:提供一种阵列基板的驱动方法,所述阵列基板包括沿行方向设置的多条扫描线、沿列方向设置的多条数据线以及由所述扫描线和所述数据线定义的呈阵列排列的多个子像素,所述多个子像素划分为沿行方向周期性排列的不同颜色的多个子像素列,其中至少一子像素列为补偿光子像素列,所述方法包括:在所述扫描线上依次施加选通信号;在所述多条数据线上分别施加驱动电压,其中在同一画面帧内,同一子像素列的电压极性相同,所述补偿光子像素列两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反;所述多个子像素沿从所述扫描线的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列,在同一画面帧内,每一排列周期内的各子像素列上的驱动电压极性与相邻排列周期内的对应颜色的子像素列上驱动电压极性相反,同一排列周期内的所述第一基色光子像素列、所述第三基色子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列的驱动电压极性相同,且与所述第二基色子像素列的驱动电压极性相反。
本发明的有益效果是:区别于现有技术的情况,本发明通过使补偿光子像素列两侧相邻数据线的驱动电压极性相反,从而可以减少补偿光子像素列两侧相邻数据线对补偿光子像素的电压耦合效应,以减小对补偿光子像素的驱动电压的影响,从而使得补偿光子像素的亮度变化减小,有利于减小画面亮度的变化,提高画面质量。

参阅图3,本发明阵列基板一实施方式中,阵列基板为液晶显示面板中的阵列基板,阵列基板包括沿行方向设置的多条扫描线G1~Gn(n大于等于1)、沿列方向设置的多条数据线D1~Dm(m大于等于1)以及由扫描线Gn和数据线Dm定义的呈阵列排列的多个子像素P,每个子像素P分别与一条扫描线Gn和一条数据线Dm连接。多条扫描线G1~Gn和多条数据线D1~Dm位于阵列基板的不透光区域,即扫描线和数据线对应于液晶显示面板的彩膜基板上的黑色矩阵设置,以提高光的透过率。多个子像素P位于阵列基板的透光区域,以实现画面显示。
多个子像素P划分为沿行方向周期性排列的不同颜色的多个子像素列,其中一列子像素列为补偿光子像素列。由于白光亮度较高,因此,本实施方式中,如图3所示,补偿光子像素列为发出白光的白光子像素列W,用于补偿画面亮度,提高穿透率。
其中,在同一画面帧内,白光子像素列W两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反。一个画面帧即是指一个扫描周期,在该扫描周期里所有扫描线G1~Gn均被扫描。数据线上驱动电压的极性是相对于公共电压而言,当数据线上的驱动电压大于公共电压时其极性为正极性,当数据线上的驱动电压小于公共电压时其极性为负极性。
本实施方式中,通过使白光子像素列W两侧相邻的数据线的驱动电压极性相反,以使得正负极性的两条数据线对白光子像素列W的驱动电压的电容耦合影响在一定程度上相互抵消,从而可以减小与白光子像素列W相邻的两条数据线对白光子像素列W的驱动电压的影响,使得白光子像素列W的驱动电压的变化较小,进而减小其亮度变化,从而减小对画面亮度的影响,使得人眼不易察觉到画面亮度变化,有利于提高画面品质。
进一步地,如图3所示,本实施方式中,多个子像素P沿从扫描线Gn一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W。第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B分别为红光子像素列、绿光子像素列以及蓝光子像素列。本实施方式中,以图3视图为基础,所述扫描线Gn的一端为左端,所述扫描线Gn的另一端为右端。当然,在其他视图上也可以是别的表达方式。
其中,第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W分别由靠近扫描线Gn的一端的相邻数据线施加驱动电压。以图3所示的视图为例,第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W从左向右依次排列,第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W分别由与各子像素列相邻且位于各子像素列左边的数据线施加驱动电压。
其中,为了减少水平串扰,在同一画面帧内,每一排列周期的各子像素列的驱动电压极性与相邻排列周期内的对应颜色的子像素列上的驱动电压极性相反。具体而言,一排列周期内的第一基色光子像素列R和相邻排列周期内的第一基色光子像素列R的驱动电压极性相反,一排列周期内的第二基色光子像素列G和相邻排列周期内的第二基色光子像素列G的驱动电压极性相反,以此类推。由此,可以使得相邻两个排列周期内的同种颜色的子像素列的驱动电压对公共电压的影响在一定程度上相互抵消,降低了子像素列的驱动电压对公共电压的耦合(couple),能够大大减轻液晶面板的水平串扰。
在本实施方式中,白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期内的第三基色光子像素列B的驱动电压极性相同,且与靠近扫描线Gn的另一端的相邻排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R的驱动电压极性相反,从而使得白光子像素列W两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反。
进一步地,白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R的驱动电压极性相同,且与同一排列周期的第二基色光子像素列G的驱动电压进行相反。
举例而言,如图3所示,在同一画面帧内,数据线D1、D2、D3、D4所分别连接的同一排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性分别是正极性、负极性、正极性、正极性,而数据线D5、D6、D7、D8所分别连接的相邻排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性分别负极性、正极性、负极性、负极性。此外,本实施方式的阵列基板采用帧反转的驱动方式进行驱动,仍参照上述例子,在一画面帧结束后,在下一画面帧内,数据线D1、D2、D3、D4所分别连接的同一排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性分别是负极性、正极性、负极性、负极性,而数据线D5、D6、D7、D8所分别连接的相邻同一排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性分别正极性、负极性、正极性、正极性。
因此,本实施方式中,虽然第三基色光子像素列B两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相同,然而由于第三基色光子像素列B为发出蓝光的蓝光子像素列,其亮度相对白光子像素列W的亮度要低,因此即使其驱动电压受驱动电压极性相同的两条数据线的影响而发生变化,然而该变化所造成的画面亮度变化较轻微,较小于白光子像素列W对画面亮度造成的变化,甚至人眼无法察觉该画面亮度变化,因此与传统的驱动方式相比,本实施方式可减轻垂直串扰,减小画面亮度变化,能够提高画面质量。
在本发明阵列基板的其他实施方式中,补偿光子像素列还可以是发出黄光的黄光子像素列,或者其他亮度较高的其他颜色光子像素列,以对画面亮度进行补偿。并且,第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列也可以是其他颜色光子像素列。
在上述实施方式中,四个子像素列的排列方式为第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光(补偿光)子像素列W沿扫描线Gn的一端向另一端依次排列。参阅图4,在本发明阵列基板的另一实施方式中,四个子像素列的排列方式为白光(补偿光)子像素列W、第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G以及第三基色光子像素列B沿扫描线的一端向另一端依次排列。
具体地,如图4所示,多个子像素P沿从扫描线Gn的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的白光子像素列W、第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G以及第三基色光子像素列B,白光子像素列W为补偿光子像素列。其中,白光子像素列W、第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G以及第三基色光子像素列B分别由靠近扫描线Gn的一端的相邻数据线Dm施加驱动电压。
其中,白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R的驱动电压进行相反,且与靠近扫描线Gn的一端的相邻排列周期的第三基色光子像素列B的驱动电压极性相同。进一步地,白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期的第二基色光子像素列G的驱动电压极性相同,与同一排列周期的的第三基色光子像素列B的驱动电压进行相反。例如,如图4所述,在一个画面帧内,一个排列周期内的白光子像素列W、第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G以及第三基色光子像素列B的驱动电压极性分别为负极性、正极性、负极性、正极性,与该排列周期相邻且靠近扫描线Gn一端的另一排列周期内的白光子像素列W、第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G以及第三基色光子像素列B分别为正极性、负极性、正极性、负极性。
由此,可使得白光子像素列W两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反,从而可以减小与白光子像素列W相邻的两条数据线对白光子像素列W的驱动电压的影响,使得白光子像素列W的驱动电压的变化较小,进而减小其亮度变化,从而减小对画面亮度的影响,使得人眼不易察觉到画面亮度变化,有利于提高画面品质。并且,本实施方式中,一个排列周期内的四个子像素列的驱动电压的极性与现有的一个排列周期内的四个子像素列的驱动电压极性是相同的,即本实施方式仅需通过改变四个子像素列的排列方式,而不需要改变驱动方式,即可使得白光子像素列W相邻两侧数据线上的驱动电压的极性相反,以达到减小画面亮度变化的目的。
参阅图5,在本发明阵列基板的又一实施方式中,多个子像素P沿从扫描线Gn的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及作为补偿光子像素列的白光子像素列W。其中,第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B分别为红光子像素列、绿光子像素列以及蓝光子像素列。本实施方式中,以图5视图为基础,所述扫描线Gn的一端为左端,所述扫描线Gn的另一端为右端。当然,在其他视图上也可以是别的表达方式。
其中,第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B、白光子像素列W分别由靠近扫描线Gn的另一端的相邻数据线Dm施加驱动电压。以图5所示的视图为例,第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W从左向右依次排列,第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W由与各子像素列相邻且位于各子像素列右边的数据线施加驱动电压。
其中,为了减少水平串扰,在同一画面帧内,每一排列周期的各子像素列的驱动电压极性与相邻排列周期内的对应颜色的子像素列上的驱动电压极性相反。具体而言,一排列周期内的第一基色光子像素列R和相邻排列周期内的第一基色光子像素列R的驱动电压极性相反,一排列周期内的第二基色光子像素列G和相邻排列周期内的第二基色光子像素列G的驱动电压极性相反,以此类推。由此,可以使得相邻周期内的同种颜色的子像素列的驱动电压对公共电压的影响在一定程度上相互抵消,即降低了子像素列的驱动电压对公共电压的耦合(couple),能够大大减轻液晶面板的水平串扰。
在本实施方式中,白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期的第三基色光子像素列B的驱动电压极性相反,且与靠近扫描线Gn的另一端相邻排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R的驱动电压极性相同,从而可使得白光子像素列W两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反。
进一步地,白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R的驱动电压极性相反,且与同一排列周期的第二基色光子像素列G的驱动电压极性相同。
举例而言,如图5所示,在同一画面帧内,数据线D1、D2、D3、D4所分别连接的同一排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性分别是正极性、负极性、正极性、负极性,而数据线D5、D6、D7、D8所分别连接的相邻排列周期的第一基色光子像素列R、第二基色光子像素列G、第三基色光子像素列B以及白光子像素列W的驱动电压极性分别负极性、正极性、负极性、正极性。
因此,本实施方式中,虽然第一基色光子像素列R两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相同,然而由于第一基色光子像素列R为发出红光的红光子像素列,其亮度相对白光子像素列W的亮度要低,因此即使其驱动电压受驱动电压极性相同的两条数据线的影响而发生变化,然而该变化所造成的画面亮度变化较轻微,较小于白光子像素列W对画面亮度造成的变化,甚至人眼无法察觉该画面亮度变化,因此与传统的驱动方式相比,本实施方式可减轻垂直串扰,减小画面亮度变化,能够提高画面质量。
参阅图6,本发明液晶显示面板一实施方式中,液晶显示面板包括阵列基板51、彩色滤光基板52以及位于阵列基板51和彩色滤光基板52之间的液晶层53。其中,阵列基板51的结构和驱动方式与前述任一实施方式的阵列基板相同。
参阅图7,本发明阵列基板的驱动方法一实施方式中,阵列基板为前述任一实施方式中的阵列基板,以图3所示的阵列基板为例,阵列基板包括行方向设置的多条扫描线G1~Gn、沿列方向设置的多条数据线D1~Dm、以及由扫描线Gn和数据线Dm定义的呈阵列排列的多个子像素P。多个子像素P划分为沿行方向周期性排列的不同颜色的多个子像素列,其中,有一子像素列为补偿光子像素列,本实施方式的补偿光子像素列为白光子像素列W。
其中,所述驱动方法包括如下步骤:
步骤S601:在扫描线上依次施加选通信号。本实施方式中,采用逐行扫描的方式进行扫描,对扫描线G1~Gn依次施加扫描信号,以依次驱动被选取的扫描线上的多个子像素。
步骤S602:在多条数据线上分别施加驱动电压,其中在同一画面帧内,补偿光子像素列两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反。
本实施方式中,通过使作为补偿光子像素列的白光子像素列W两侧相邻的数据线的驱动电压极性相反,以使得正负极性的两条数据线对白光子像素列W的驱动电压的电容耦合影响在一定程度上相互抵消,从而可以减小与白光子像素列W相邻的两条数据线对白光子像素列W的驱动电压的影响,使得白光子像素列W的驱动电压的变化较小,进而减小其亮度变化,从而减小对画面亮度的影响,有利于提高画面品质。
进一步地,在多条数据线上分别施加驱动电压的步骤包括:在同一画面帧内,每一排列周期内的各子像素列上的驱动电压极性与相邻排列周期内的对应颜色的子像素列上的驱动电压进行相反。由此,可以使得相邻排列周期内的同种颜色的子像素列的驱动电压对公共电压的影响在一定程度上相互抵消,降低了子像素列的驱动电压对公共电压的耦合(couple),能够大大减轻液晶面板的水平串扰。
以上所述仅为本发明的实施方式,并非因此限制本发明的专利范围,凡是利用本发明说明书及附图内容所作的等效结构或等效流程变换,或直接或间接运用在其他相关的技术领域,均同理包括在本发明的专利保护范围内。

Claims (4)

1.一种液晶显示面板的阵列基板,其特征在于,包括沿行方向设置的多条扫描线、沿列方向设置的多条数据线以及由所述扫描线和所述数据线定义的呈阵列排列的多个子像素,所述扫描线和所述数据线对应于液晶显示面板的彩膜基板上的黑色矩阵设置,所述多个子像素划分为沿行方向周期性排列的不同颜色的多个子像素列,其中至少一子像素列为补偿光子像素列,其中在同一画面帧内,同一子像素列的电压极性相同,所述补偿光子像素列两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反;
所述多个子像素沿从所述扫描线的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列,在同一画面帧内,每一排列周期内的各子像素列上的驱动电压极性与相邻排列周期内的对应颜色的子像素列上驱动电压极性相反,同一排列周期内的所述第一基色光子像素列、所述第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列的驱动电压极性相同,且与所述第二基色光子像素列的驱动电压极性相反。
2.根据权利要求1所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述多个子像素沿从所述扫描线的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列,其中所述第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列分别由靠近所述扫描线的所述一端的相邻数据线施加所述驱动电压,所述补偿光子像素列的驱动电压极性与同一排列周期的所述第三基色光子像素列的驱动电压极性相同,且与靠近所述扫描线的所述另一端的相邻排列周期的所述第一基色光子像素列的驱动电压极性相反。
3.根据权利要求1-2任意一项所述的阵列基板,其特征在于,所述第一基色光子像素列、所述第二基色光子像素列、所述第三基色光子像素列、所述补偿光子像素列分别为红光子像素列、绿光子像素列、蓝光子像素列以及白光子像素列。
4.一种阵列基板的驱动方法,所述阵列基板包括沿行方向设置的多条扫描线、沿列方向设置的多条数据线以及由所述扫描线和所述数据线定义的呈阵列排列的多个子像素,所述多个子像素划分为沿行方向周期性排列的不同颜色的多个子像素列,其中至少一子像素列为补偿光子像素列,所述方法包括:
在所述扫描线上依次施加选通信号;
在所述多条数据线上分别施加驱动电压,其中在同一画面帧内,同一子像素列的电压极性相同,所述补偿光子像素列两侧相邻数据线上的驱动电压极性相反;
所述多个子像素沿从所述扫描线的一端向另一端的方向上划分为周期性排列且依次相邻设置的第一基色光子像素列、第二基色光子像素列、第三基色光子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列,在同一画面帧内,每一排列周期内的各子像素列上的驱动电压极性与相邻排列周期内的对应颜色的子像素列上驱动电压极性相反,同一排列周期内的所述第一基色光子像素列、所述第三基色子像素列以及所述补偿光子像素列的驱动电压极性相同,且与所述第二基色子像素列的驱动电压极性相反。
