Abstract

Description
背景技术
微机械惯性传感器已变成例如手持式移动终端、相机及游戏控制器等许多消费品的整体部分。另外,微机械惯性传感器广泛用于行业中的振动监测、汽车安全及稳定性控制以及导航中。大体来说,微传感器的读出机构可为压电的、压阻的或电容性的。然而,电容性感测的高热稳定性及敏感性使其对广泛范围的应用更具吸引力。典型电容性传感器接口电路由电容/电压转换器(C/V)构成、后续接着模/数转换器(A/D)及信号调节电路。将传感器及C/V并入基于Σ-Δ的力反馈环路提供许多益处,例如减小对传感器过程及温度变化的敏感性、改进系统带宽及增加动态范围。另外,基于Σ-Δ的环路提供隐含的模/数转换,从而消除对独立A/D的需要。
电容性惯性MEMS传感器展现二阶低通传递函数。在一些系统中,MEMS用作Σ-Δ环路滤波器,从而产生二阶电子机械Σ-Δ环路。然而,仅依赖于MEMS作为滤波元件由于增加的量化噪声而产生分辨率损失。增加的量化噪声由电子噪声所导致的减小的有效Σ-Δ环路量化器增益产生。为避免此分辨率损失,电子滤波器可引入到环路。额外电子滤波器对于加速度计传感器(加速度计传感器是用于测量线性加速度的装置)可为一阶或二阶的。针对特定陀螺仪系统(陀螺仪装置用于以度/秒为单位测量角速度),二阶滤波器用于实施可在远离DC的噪声传递函数中产生陷波的谐振器,从而产生四阶调制器。

稳定存在高Q寄生模式的情况下的环路是挑战性问题。根据一些看法,必须借助适当的机械设计来解决高Q寄生模式,如仅使用电子技术是不成功的[塞特科夫]。
在西格中,考虑二阶电子机械Σ-Δ环路的稳定性且建议维持系统取样频率与寄生模式频率之间的特定关系。然而,西格专用于具有低质量因子(Q)寄生模式的二阶环路(不并入电子滤波器的环路),且不适用于较高阶环路或不适用于高Q寄生模式的情形。另一方面,在塞特科夫中,在大气压力下测试所述系统,借此确保充分阻尼高频率模式。因此,在实践中,塞特科夫仅适用于低Q寄生模式。
埃泽奎解决高Q寄生模式。然而,所提议解决方案使用正反馈技术,从而产生难以设计、优化及调谐的嵌套的反馈环路。更特定来说,在埃泽奎中,采纳正反馈Σ-Δ环路。为避免归因于正反馈的不稳定性,通过将伪随机信号注入所述环路而将DC增益设定成低于1。在DC处使DC增益低于1使所得系统不足以用于加速度计,且将其用途限制于陀螺仪,因为此条件减小频带内噪声衰减。DC增益的损失还导致在量化器之前的偏移积累,此需要额外调节环路。所得系统由难以设计、优化及调谐的嵌套环路组成。

发明内容
在存在高Q寄生模式的情况下稳定Σ-Δ电子机械环路的问题得到解决。在一个实施例中,将二阶有限脉冲响应(FIR)滤波器引入到Σ-Δ电子机械环路中稳定所述环路。此解决方案由理论结果及经验结果两者支持且比其它所提议技术简单得多。
在另一实施例中,提供一种使用接口电路与MEMS传感器以电子方式介接的方法,所述MEMS传感器及所述接口电路一起形成Σ-Δ调制器环路。根据所述方法,识别所述MEMS传感器的潜在寄生谐振模式,所述潜在寄生谐振模式具有频率及质量因子。将具有根据所述潜在寄生谐振模式的所述频率及所述质量因子中的至少一者挑选的特性的滤波器插入到所述Σ-Δ调制器环路中。

开环量值响应的0-dB交叉点必须在图5的使所述系统稳定的相位响应的区域B中发生。区域A处的0-dB交叉点针对相位裕量产生负值,且因此导致不稳定性。大体来说,如果0-dB交叉点处的相位移位不等于或超过180度,那么反馈系统是稳定的。
在不存在高Q寄生谐振模式的情况下,图3的系统是稳定的。然而,当存在高Q寄生谐振模式时,危害稳定性。假设单个寄生模式,MEMS的传递函数可如下建模:

大体来说,在具有寄生模式的情况下,引入对Σ-Δ环路的额外滤波来消除或衰减寄生谐振模式增加了系统阶数且使已不稳定系统的稳定性降级,除非以考虑系统原始极点及零点且允许恢复系统稳定性的方式引入额外极点及零点的特定布置。特定来说,如图9中所图解说明,与量值γ一起引入一对负零点CZ1'及CZ2',根据寄生模式质量因子及取决于寄生模式频率的角度θ来调整量值γ。然而,复零点在离散时间系统中在物理上不可实现。因此,必须添加额外的两个极点P1、P2。为避免这些极点更改复零点的响应产生,在z域(z=0)的原点处添加这两个极点,如图9中所展示。所引入极点及零点由以下表示:
所引入极点及零点的所得传递函数为FIR性质。注意,使用例如巴特沃斯(Butterworth)、切比雪夫(Chebyshev)、椭圆或贝塞尔(Bessel)或具有有限脉冲响应(IIR)性质的其数字实现等标准模拟滤波器将极点引入到系统,所述极点使稳定性降级,如先前所提及。
参考图10,展示包含具有前述特性的定制FIR滤波器1001的补偿式电子机械Σ-Δ环路系统。图11中展示另一实施例,其中定制FIR滤波器1101直接放置于环路比较器1103之前。在此情形中,滤波器1101除了充当补偿器之外也提供反馈定形。
图12及图13中分别展示使用在z域的原点处建立有复零点及极点的滤波器来稳定的陀螺仪Σ-Δ接口系统的根轨迹曲线图及开环响应。如图13中所见,补偿式系统是稳定的且与其中在不存在寄生模式的情形中具有-6.42dB的增益裕量相比具有-3.26dB的增益裕量。图13中的圆圈突出显示了在补偿之前寄生模式的位置。
陀螺仪测试平台经建构以证实在存在寄生高Q模式的情况下电子机械Σ-Δ调制器的稳定。测试平台主要由与MEMS传感器介接的C/V构成,后续接着A/D转换器、现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)及致动数/模转换器。FPGA实施Σ-Δ环路滤波器及FIR块。A/D-FPGA布置提供所需要灵活性以用于测试稳定性。图14中展示与测试平台一起使用的MEMS陀螺仪的频率响应且通过将伪随机致动顺序应用于MEMS传感器且在其检测电极处测量MEMS电容信号而确定所述频率响应。MEMS传感器具有接近于4-KHz的主谐振模式及大约80-KHz的许多寄生高Q模式的群集器。图15中展示其中定制FIR滤波器起作用的所测量Σ-Δ环路输出,展示在存在以80-KHz群集的一群寄生模式的情况下的稳定操作及适当Σ-Δ噪声定形。测量展示,所达成的稳定性对MEMS过程及温度变化是稳健的。测试平台达成+/-100度/s输入信号范围及1m度/s/√Hz的噪声基底。
实际MEMS传感器具有可导致基于Σ-Δ的反馈力反馈系统的不稳定性的寄生模式。如已描述,在一个实施例中,可通过插入位于Z域原点处的一对复零点及两个极点来稳定此类系统。稳定性分析(根轨迹曲线图及开环响应的稳定性裕量)指示稳定运算。此稳定方法比现有埃泽奎方法简单得多。另外,所提议解决方案并不限于二阶及低Q寄生模式,如西格的设计推荐的情形。测试平台用以证实在存在高Q模式的情况下的稳定运算。测试平台展示,解决方案在存在围绕特定频率群集的若干个寄生模式的情况下稳定ΣΔ电子机械环路。
Claims (18)
1.一种使用接口电路与MEMS传感器以电子方式介接的方法,所述MEMS传感器与所述接口电路一起形成Σ-Δ调制器环路,所述方法包括:
识别所述Σ-Δ调制器环路的潜在寄生谐振模式,所述潜在寄生谐振模式具有频率及质量因子;
将具有根据所述潜在寄生谐振模式的所述频率及所述质量因子中的至少一者挑选的特性的滤波器插入到所述Σ-Δ调制器环路中。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述滤波器为FIR滤波器。
3.根据权利要求3所述的方法,其中所述FIR滤波器经配置以便在复平面中由位于原点处的一对复零点及一对极点来表示。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述滤波器具有根据所述潜在寄生谐振模式的所述频率及所述质量因子两者挑选的特性。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其进一步包括通过在所述Σ-Δ调制器环路的前馈环路部分与所述Σ-Δ调制器环路的反馈部分之间提供反馈分支而增加所述Σ-Δ调制器环路的稳定性。
6.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述Σ-Δ调制器为四阶Σ-Δ调制器。
7.一种接口电路,其用于使用接口电路与MEMS传感器以电子方式介接,所述MEMS传感器及所述接口电路一起形成具有潜在寄生谐振模式的Σ-Δ调制器环路,所述潜在寄生谐振模式由频率及质量因子表征,所述接口电路包括:
电容/电压转换器;
前向环路电路,其耦合到所述电容/电压转换器且包括量化器;
反馈环路,其耦合到所述量化器且向所述MEMS传感器提供力反馈信号;及
滤波器,其插入到所述前向环路电路中且具有根据所述寄生谐振模式的所述频率及所述质量因子中的至少一者挑选的特性。
8.根据权利要求7所述的设备,其中所述滤波器为FIR滤波器。
9.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其中所述FIR滤波器经配置以便在复平面中由位于原点处的一对复零点及一对极点来表示。
10.根据权利要求7所述的设备,其中所述滤波器具有根据所述潜在寄生谐振模式的所述频率及所述质量因子两者挑选的特性。
11.根据权利要求7所述的设备,其进一步包括提供从所述反馈环路到前馈电路而不通过所述MEMS传感器的路径的稳定电路。
12.根据权利要求7所述的设备,其中所述Σ-Δ调制器为四阶Σ-Δ调制器。
13.一种传感器子系统,其包括:
MEMS传感器;
接口电路,其耦合到所述MEMS传感器,所述MEMS传感器及所述接口电路一起形成具有潜在寄生谐振模式的Σ-Δ调制器环路,所述潜在寄生谐振模式由频率及质量因子表征,所述接口电路包括:
电容/电压转换器;
前向环路电路,其耦合到所述电容/电压转换器且包括量化器;
反馈环路,其耦合到所述量化器且向所述MEMS传感器提供力反馈信号;及
滤波器,其插入到所述前向环路电路中且具有根据所述寄生谐振模式的所述频率及所述质量因子中的至少一者挑选的特性。
14.根据权利要求13所述的设备,其中所述滤波器为FIR滤波器。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其中所述FIR滤波器经配置以便在复平面中由位于原点处的一对复零点及一对极点来表示。
16.根据权利要求13所述的设备,其中所述滤波器具有根据所述潜在寄生谐振模式的所述频率及所述质量因子两者挑选的特性。
17.根据权利要求13所述的设备,其进一步包括提供从所述反馈环路到前馈电路而不通过所述MEMS传感器的路径的稳定电路。
18.根据权利要求13所述的设备,其中所述Σ-Δ调制器为四阶Σ-Δ调制器。
