Description

液晶显示装置及其背光模组
技术领域
本发明涉及一种液晶显示技术,特别涉及液晶显示装置及其背光模组。
背景技术
液晶显示装置包括液晶面板。液晶面板包括背光源以及覆盖在背光源上的液晶屏。背光模组用作液晶面板的光源。背光模组通常包括导光板以及设置在导光板侧面的条形的发光元件。液晶屏从导光板的出光面一侧覆盖在背光模组上。发光元件可以是量子管(quantum dots tube)或冷阴极管。对于量子管,可以采用其他的光源(例如发光二极管)照射量子管以激发量子管内的量子点发光。量子管发出的光线从导光板的一个侧面、即导光板的入光面射入导光板,从导光板的一个板面、即导光板的出光面射出而进入到液晶屏内。液晶屏通过对导光板射出的光线进行调制来显示图形和色彩。
由于眼球的特殊构造,人眼视网膜接收到的平面画面在物理上是“扭曲”的,在大脑中需要将“扭曲”的画面再转换成平面画面。而与眼球弧度基本一致的弧面液晶屏上所显示的画面能直接映射到大脑中,观众的感受更舒适、更自然。
曲面液晶屏是弧面的,导光板也需要弯折成与液晶屏曲率相同的弧形板。这样,在侧入式的背光模组中,发光元件也需要被弯折成相同曲率的弧形才能获得较好的显示效果。但是,条形的发光元件通常为外壳为玻璃管的产品。例如:量子管是采用直玻璃管封装量子点的结构;冷阴极管采用硬质玻璃管封装高光效三基色荧光粉的结构。生产特定曲率的条形第一发光元件工艺复杂、成本高昂,而生产直条形的第一发光元件工艺简单、合格率高、成本较低。
发明内容
本发明所要解决的技术问题为如何将直条形的发光元件应用于弧面液晶显示装置的背光模组且能获得良好的显示效果。
针对上述技术问题,本发明提出了一种背光模组,其包括:
第一发光元件;
设置有弧形条槽且容纳第一发光元件的夹持器;
设置在夹持器外且设置有朝向第一发光元件的弧形端面的导光板;
其中,弧形端面与弧形条槽对应对齐。
在一个具体的实施例中,第一发光元件为直条形,第一发光元件的两端分别与弧形条槽的两端对齐。
在一个具体的实施例中,夹持器为与第一发光元件的平行的管形件。
在一个具体的实施例中,第一发光元件覆盖弧形条槽。
在一个具体的实施例中,弧形条槽由沿弧线依次连接的多个直条槽拟合而成。
在一个具体的实施例中,夹持器还包括用于固定第一发光元件的固定件。
在一个具体的实施例中,固定件为多个,多个固定件沿第一发光元件的延伸方向依次间隔排列。
在一个具体的实施例中,固定件构造成垂直于第一发光元件且被所述第一发光元件穿过的平板。

本发明还提出了一种液晶显示装置,其包括如上所述的背光模组。
第一发光元件发出的光线从弧形条槽穿过从而进入到导光板。夹持器的弧形条槽形成为弧线形的出光口,这个出光口与导光板的弧形端面对齐。这个弧形端面为导光板的入光面。夹持器的出光口的形状与导光板的入光面的形状相匹配,这样,第一发光元件发出的光线穿过弧形条槽而射入到导光板的光线在弧形端面上分布更均匀。弧形端面各处的光照强度分布更均匀,光耦合效率(光耦合效率是指第一发光元件发出的光线的利用率)提升,由此,采用这种背光模组的液晶显示装置可以获得较好的显示效果。同时,由于这种背光模组的第一发光元件的形状要求低,由此这种背光模组可以选用低成本的第一发光元件来降低成本。

具体实施方式
下面将结合附图对本发明作进一步说明。
图1显示了本发明的第一种实施方式的背光模组1。背光模组1包括导光板6、夹持器2、第一发光元件3、灯条4(如图2所示)以及背板5。
如图2所示,导光板6为弧面板。导光板6包括一个条状的弧形端面13。弧形端面13为长条状的平面结构,其沿弧线延伸。导光板6可以是由弧形端面13向垂直于该弧形端面13方向平移,该弧形端面13平移的轨迹形成的板形结构。这样,导光板6为弯折的矩形板状结构。优选地,该弧形端面13相对的两条弧形边之间的距离均匀。该弧形边可以是椭圆弧,也可以是圆弧。导光板6通常由折射率较高的透明材料制成。该透明材料可以是光学级的聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯。导光板6的一个板面、即第一板面形成为出光面,另一板面、即与第一板面相对的面为第二板面。除第二板面外,导光板6的其它表面,例如各个侧面、第一板面等均非常光滑。优选地,导光板6的第二板面上的一些部分向外凸出,从而形成密集的反光网点。导光板6的其中一个弧形端面13为入光面。弧形端面13优选为平面。
如图3所示,夹持器2包括隔板7。隔板7优选为构造成长条结构。隔板7更优选地为矩形板。隔板7设置有弧形条槽8。弧形条槽8垂直于其深度方向的截面的形状与导光板6的入光面的形状相近。弧形条槽8贯穿隔板7。弧形条槽8的两端分别向隔板7的两端延伸。隔板7的一个板面抵接于导光板6的入光面,并使得弧形条槽8与该入光面对齐。
第一发光元件3构造为直条结构。第一发光元件3抵接于隔板7的另一个板面。第一发光元件3可以是冷阴极管。在本实施例中,第一发光元件3为量子管。量子管包括直玻璃管以及众多的量子点。量子点被封装在直玻璃管内。量子点可以是由II-VI族或III-V族元素组成的半导体纳米颗粒。量子点在受激后可以发射荧光。种类及尺寸相同的量子点发出的荧光波长的波峰非常窄。该荧光穿过液晶显示装置的彩色滤光片时可以获得高饱和度的单色光。同时,不同种类的量子点的频率覆盖可见光光谱。由此,采用量子管作为光源的液晶显示装置的色域广。
灯条4包括底板9以及第二发光元件10。底板9设置在第一发光元件3背离隔板7的一侧。第二发光元件10设置在底板9朝向第一发光元件3的一个板面上。第二发光元件10发出的光线用于激发量子管发光。底板9可以是印刷电路板。底板9优选为柔性印刷电路板。第二发光元件10可以是发光二极管。优选地,底板9为条形的板状结构,底板9的延伸方向与第一发光元件3的延伸方向平行,多个彼此相互间隔开来的第二发光元件10沿底板9的延伸方向均匀分布。这样,多个第二发光元件10激发量子管时,量子管各处亮度均匀。灯条4靠近第一发光元件3设置,底板9设置有灯条4的板面朝向第一发光元件3。底板9更优选为矩形板。
夹持器2包括设置在第二发光元件10与第一发光元件3之间入光口15。当第一发光元件3为量子管时,第二发光元件10向第一发光元件3发出光线,这些光线穿过入光口15进而激发第一发光元件3发光。第一发光元件3发出的光线只能从弧形条槽8穿过从而进入到导光板6。隔板7上的弧形条槽8形成为弧线形的出光口,这个出光口与导光板6的弧形端面13对齐。这样就降低了直条形的第一发光元件3与导光板6的入光面配合所引起的对位偏差,穿过弧形端面13射入到导光板6的光线在弧形端面13上分布均匀,弧形端面13各处的光照度更均匀,提升了光耦合效率。采用这种背光模组1的液晶显示装置可以获得很好的显示效果。
优选地,第二发光元件10为可以发出蓝光的发光二极管,第一发光元件3包括可被蓝光激发而分别发出绿光和红光的两种量子点。这样,该发光二极管发出的部分蓝光被第一发光元件3内的两种量子点所吸收,两种量子点继而发出绿色和红色的光线,红、绿、蓝三种色光在量子管内混合成的白光,再射入到导光板6内。
优选地,第一发光元件3的两端分别与隔板7的弧形条槽8的两端对齐。这样,通过弧形条槽8的光线在弧形条槽8垂直于其深度方向的截面上分布均匀,进而进入到弧形端面13的光线在导光板6内分布更均匀,液晶显示装置的显示效果更好。
优选地,第一发光元件3抵接于隔板7并覆盖隔板7的弧形条槽8。这样,通过弧形条槽8的光线在弧形条槽8垂直于其深度方向的截面上分布均匀,进而进入到弧形端面13的光线在导光板6内分布更均匀,液晶显示装置的显示效果更好。同时,可以确保从弧形条槽8射入到导光板6内的光线均是从第一发光元件3射出的,以避免第二发光元件10发出的色光直接从隔板7和第一发光元件3之间的缝隙中漏入导光板6内而导致液晶显示上的屏显示画面颜色畸变。
优选地,夹持器2还包括用于固定第一发光元件3的固定件12。固定件12设置在隔板7靠近所述第一发光元件3的一侧。固定件12连接于隔板7。优选地,在隔板7上设置多个固定件12沿隔板7的延伸方向依次间隔排列。这样相当于支撑第一发光元件3的支点增多,第一发光元件3受力更合理。更优选地,固定件12构造成垂直于隔板7的板面的、垂直于隔板7的延伸方向的且设置有通孔的平板,多个固定件12的通孔对应对齐。第一发光元件3插入到多个通孔中而被固定件12固定住。这样,第一发光元件3与弧形条槽8的位置相对固定。另外,由于固定件12垂直于隔板7,固定件12还起到加强筋板的作用,加强了夹持器2的结构强度。
更优选地,隔板7为长条形,夹持器2还包括两块的侧板11。两块侧板11均呈长条板状结构。两块侧板11相互平行。两块侧板11分别从隔板7的两侧伸出,且垂直于隔板7。两块侧板11的延伸方向与隔板7的延伸方向相同。两块侧板11和隔板7形成容纳第一发光元件3的且横截面为凹槽状的槽形件。这样,夹持器2的侧板11挡住光线从这两侧射出,以避免夹持器2从两侧漏光。同时,第一发光元件3被容纳在夹持器2内,第一发光元件3的三面均被遮挡住,这样就不容易遭受到磕碰。
更优选地,第一发光元件3为量子管,灯条4设置在夹持器2背离隔板7的一侧。灯条4的底板9从夹持器2背离底板9的一侧盖合夹持器2。底板9抵接于两个侧板11背离隔板7的侧面。底板9平行于隔板7。底板9、两块侧壁和隔板7形成容纳第一发光元件3的管状结构。灯条4上的第二发光元件10朝向第一发光元件3。这样,夹持器2和底板9可以将第一发光元件3发出的光和第二发光元件10发出的光阻挡住,光线只能从弧形条槽8射出,从而避免背光模组1漏光。同时,第一发光元件3容纳在灯条4与夹持器2形成的管状结构中,量子管不容易被磕碰损坏。
更优选地,夹持器2朝向第一发光元件3的表面为白色。第一发光元件3发出的光线在夹持器2的白色表面上具有较高的反射率,这些从第一发光元件3射向夹持器2朝向第一发光元件3的表面的光线中的一部分会反射向弧形条槽8,进而从弧形条槽8射出。由此提高光线的利用率以及导光板6的出光面的亮度。
更优选地,在夹持器2朝向第一发光元件3的表面设置成镜面。该镜面用于将第一发光元件3发出的光线反射向弧形条槽8。进而提高光线的利用率以及导光板6的出光面的亮度。
优选地,夹持器2分成相互对接的两段。其优点在于夹持器2在与第一发光元件3装配时可以将其两段依次装配到第一发光元件3上,以便于夹持器2与第一发光元件3组装。
背板5呈大致的弧形板结构。导光板6安装在弧形背板5上,导光板6的第二板面靠近背板5。背板5用于支撑导光板6。夹持器2和灯条4均安装在背板5的底端,并与背板5相对固定。
如图4所示,本发明还提供了第二种实施方式的背光模组。第二种实施方式的背光模组与第一种实施方式的背光模组1的区别仅在于两者的隔板的结构不同,为简洁起见,下面仅描述第二种实施方式的隔板7a。
本发明的第二种实施方式的背光模组包括夹持器2a。夹持器2a包括隔板7a。隔板7a上设置有多条直条槽14。多条直条槽14沿弧线依次对接,这样多条直槽14就拟合出了弧形的条槽8a。多条直条槽14之间可以是相互平行的。这样的直条槽14容易被加工出来。
虽然已经参考优选实施例对本发明进行了描述,但在不脱离本发明的范围的情况下,可以对其进行各种改进并且可以用等效物替换其中的部件。尤其是,只要不存在结构冲突,各个实施例中所提到的各项技术特征均可以任意方式组合起来。本发明并不局限于文中公开的特定实施例,而是包括落入权利要求的范围内的所有技术方案。

Claims (9)

1.一种背光模组,包括:
第一发光元件;
设置有弧形条槽且容纳所述第一发光元件的夹持器;
设置在所述夹持器外且设置有朝向所述第一发光元件的弧形端面的导光板;
其中,所述弧形端面与所述弧形条槽对应对齐,
所述第一发光元件为直条形,所述第一发光元件的两端分别与所述弧形条槽的两端对齐。
2.根据权利要求1所述的背光模组,其特征在于,所述夹持器为与所述第一发光元件的平行的管形件。
3.根据权利要求2所述的背光模组,其特征在于,所述第一发光元件覆盖所述弧形条槽。
4.根据权利要求1所述的背光模组,其特征在于,所述弧形条槽由沿弧线依次连接的多个直条槽拟合而成。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的背光模组,其特征在于,所述夹持器还包括用于固定所述第一发光元件的固定件。
6.根据权利要求5所述的背光模组,其特征在于,所述固定件为多个,多个固定件沿所述第一发光元件的延伸方向依次间隔排列。
7.根据权利要求6所述的背光模组,其特征在于,所述固定件构造成垂直于所述第一发光元件且被所述第一发光元件穿过的平板。
8.根据权利要求7所述的背光模组,其特征在于,所述第一发光元件为量子管,所述背光模组还包括设置在所述夹持器外且用于激发第一发光元件的第二发光元件,所述夹持器还包括设置在所述第一发光元件与所述第二发光元件之间的入光口。
9.一种液晶显示装置,其特征在于,包括根据权利要求1至8中任一项所述的背光模组。
