Abstract

本发明的目的在于将从负载有SCR催化剂的过滤器(SCRF)流出的HC、CO以及氨适当地从排气中去除。在本发明中,在内燃机的排气通道中与SCRF相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处设置有后段催化剂(8)。后段催化剂(8)被构成为,包括:吸附还原部(81c),其吸附氨且将氨作为还原剂而对NOX进行还原;第一氧化部(81b),其对氨进行氧化;第二氧化部(82),其对HC及CO进行氧化。

Description

内燃机的排气净化装置
技术领域
本发明涉及内燃机的排气净化装置。
背景技术
一直以来,作为被设置在内燃机的排气通道上的排气净化装置而公开了使选择还原型NOX催化剂(以下,称为SCR催化剂)负载于过滤器中的装置。过滤器对排气中的颗粒状物质(以下,称为PM)进行捕集。SCR催化剂为,将氨(NH3)作为催化剂来对排气中的NOX进行还原。以下,有时也将承装了这种SCR催化剂的过滤器称为SCRF。
通过采用SCRF作为排气净化装置,从而与将过滤器和SCR催化剂分别设置在排气通道上的情况相比,能够使排气净化装置的大小进一步缩小。因此,能够提高排气净化装置的安装性。此外,通过采用SCRF而能够将SCR催化剂配置于排气通道中靠上游侧。排气通道中的SCR催化剂的配置越靠上游侧,该SCR催化剂越容易通过排气的热量而被加热。因此,能够实现SCR催化剂的预热性的提高及SCR催化剂中的NOX净化率的提高。
在专利文献1中公开了如下结构,即,在柴油发动机的排气通道中,沿着排气流向而从上游侧起依次地设置有氧化用催化剂、注入器、SCRF以及滑动氧化用催化剂。注入器为,将氨或氨的前体向排气中注入的装置。滑动氧化用催化剂为,对经过了SCRF的氨进行氧化的催化剂。
在专利文献2中公开了由氧化催化剂或三元催化剂和HC吸附材料组成的排气净化用催化剂。此外,在专利文献2中公开了如下内容,即,在排气净化用催化剂中,以沿着排气的流向而成为在上游侧较多且在下游侧较少的浓度分布的方式而含有HC吸附材料,并且,以沿着排气的流向而成为在上游侧较少且在下游侧较多的浓度分布的方式而含有氧化催化剂或三元催化剂。

发明内容
发明所要解决的课题
向SCRF中供给氨或氨的前驱体。而且,在被负载于SCRF中的SCR催化剂中,将氨作为还原剂而使排气中的NOX被还原。在此,存在当氨被氧化时会生成NOX的情况。由于需要对这样的NOX的生成进行抑制,因此使氧化能力较高的催化剂负载于SCRF中较为困难。
因此,当向SCRF流入的排气中含有HC和CO时,该HC及CO有可能在SCRF中未被氧化而穿过该SCRF。此外,当堆积于SCRF中的PM被氧化时,会生成CO。由于以该方式而生成的CO在SCRF中也难以被氧化,因此有可能会从该SCRF流出。
而且,在该SCRF所负载的SCR催化剂中的、未被NOX的还原消耗的氨也可能从SCRF流出。
本发明为鉴于上述那样的问题而被完成的发明,本发明的目的在于提供一种能够将从SCRF流出的HC、CO以及氨适当地从排气中去除的技术。
用于解决课题的手段
在本发明中,在与SCRF相比而靠下游侧的排气通道上设置有后段催化剂,所述后段催化剂被构成为,包括吸附氨且将氨作为还原剂而对NOX进行还原的吸附还原部、对氨进行氧化的第一氧化部和对HC及CO进行氧化的第二氧化部。
具体而言,本发明所涉及的内燃机的排气净化装置具备:过滤器(SCRF),其为被设置于内燃机的排气通道上并对排气中的颗粒状物质进行捕集的过滤器,并且负载有将氨作为还原剂而对排气中的NOX进行还原的选择还原型NOX催化剂;氨供给装置,其向所述过滤器供给氨或氨的前驱体;后段催化剂,其被设置于与所述过滤器相比而靠下游侧的排气通道上,在所述内燃机的排气净化装置中,所述后段催化剂被构成为,包括:吸附还原部,其具有对氨进行吸附的作用以及将氨作为还原剂而对NOX进行还原的作用;第一氧化部,其位于与所述吸附还原部相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处,并具有对氨进行氧化的作用;第二氧化部,其位于与所述吸附还原部及所述第一氧化部相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处,且与所述第一氧化部相比而氧化能力较高,具有对HC及CO进行氧化的作用。
在本发明所涉及的排气净化装置中,从SCRF流出的HC、CO以及氨会流入后段催化剂。当氨流入后段催化剂时,该氨的一部分会吸附到吸附还原剂上。此外,流入后段催化剂的氨的另一部分通过第一氧化部而被氧化。由此,生成N2或NOX。而且,当通过氨被氧化而生成NOX时,将吸附在吸附还原部上的氨作为还原剂而使该NOX被还原。
此外,当HC及CO流入后段催化剂时,该HC及CO通过与第一氧化部相比氧化能力较高的第二氧化部而被氧化。并且,在后段催化剂中,第二氧化部位于与吸附还原部及第一氧化部相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧。此外,在后段催化剂中,第一氧化部位于与吸附还原部相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧。因此,流入了后段催化剂中的氨未被吸附在吸附还原部上而通过在第一氧化部或第二氧化部中被氧化,从而对成为NOX的情况进行抑制。
因此,根据本发明,能够将从SCRF流出的HC、CO以及氨适当地从排气中去除。
在本发明中,后段催化剂的吸附还原部也可以通过使与贵金属相比而氧化能力较低的金属负载于将沸石作为材料的载体上而形成。通过将沸石作为载体来使用,从而能够使氨吸附。而且,通过使与贵金属相比而氧化能力较低的金属负载于该载体上,从而能够促进将所吸附的氨作为还原剂的NOX的还原。
此外,在本发明中,后段催化剂的第一氧化部及第二氧化部也可以通过使贵金属负载于载体上而形成。这种情况下,第二氧化部中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量多于第一氧化部中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量。由此,能够使第二氧化部的氧化能力高于第一氧化部的氧化能力。
发明的效果
根据本发明,能够将从SCRF流出的HC、CO以及氨适当地从排气中去除。

具体实施方式
以下,基于附图对本发明的具体的实施方式进行说明。在本实施例中所记载的结构部件的尺寸、材质、形状以及该结构部件的相对配置等,只要未特别地记载,则并不表示将发明的技术范围仅限定于此的含义。
[进气排气系统的概要结构]
图1为表示本实施例所涉及的内燃机的进排气系统的概要结构的图。内燃机1为车辆驱动用的柴油发动机。内燃机1与进气通道2及排气通道3连接。在进气通道2上设置有对内燃机1的进气量进行检测的空气流量计11。
在排气通道3上沿着排气的流向依次设置有燃料添加阀4、前段催化剂5、氨添加阀6、SCRF7、第一排气温度传感器12、后段催化剂8以及第二排气温度传感器13。
前段催化剂5为氧化催化剂。然而,只要前段催化剂5为具有氧化作用的催化剂,则也可以为氧化催化剂以外的催化剂。燃料添加阀4为了向前段催化剂5供给燃料而向排气中添加燃料。另外,在不设置燃料添加阀4的情况下,在内燃机1中,还能够通过在被喷射的燃料未被供于燃烧而以未燃烧的状态被排出至排气通道3的时机执行副燃料喷射,从而向前段催化剂5提供燃料。
SCRF7以SCR催化剂7a被负载于对排气中的PM进行捕集的壁流型的过滤器中的方式而被构成。SCR催化剂7a将氨作为还原剂而对排气中的NOX进行还原。为了向SCRF7供给氨,氨添加阀6向排气中添加氨气。当氨向SCRF7被供给时,该氨会暂时吸附在被负载于SCRF7中的SCR催化剂7a上。而且,所吸附的氨成为还原剂而使排气中的NOX被还原。另外,当被负载于SCRF7中的催化剂的氧化能力较高时,在该SCRF7中容易使氨被氧化从而生成NOX。为了对这样的NOX的生成进行抑制,而使SCR催化剂7a的氧化能力变得非常低。
在本实施例中,氨添加阀6相当于本发明所涉及的氨供给装置。然而,本发明所涉及的氨供给装置也可以是将氨以液体或固体的形式来进行供给的装置。此外,本发明所涉及的氨供给装置也可以是对氨的前驱体进行供给的装置。例如,在本实施例中,也可以取代氨添加阀6而设置向排气中添加尿素水溶液的尿素添加阀。这种情况下,尿素作为氨的前驱体而向SCRF7被供给。而且,尿素通过加水分解而生成氨。
后段催化剂8为用于对排气中的HC、CO以及氨进行去除的催化剂。在后文中对后段催化剂8的结构进行叙述。
第一排气温度传感器12及第二排气温度传感器13为,对排气的温度进行检测的传感器。在内燃机1上同时设置有电子控制单元(ECU)10。ECU10上电连接有空气流量计11、第一排气温度传感器12以及第二排气温度传感器13等各种传感器。而且,各种传感器的输出信号被输入至ECU10。ECU10基于空气流量计11的输出值而对排气通道3中的排气的流量进行推断。此外,ECU10基于第一排气温度传感器12的输出值而对SCRF7的温度进行推断,并基于第二排气温度传感器13的输出值而对后段催化剂8进行推断。
并且,ECU10上电连接有燃料添加阀4以及氨添加阀6。而且,这些装置由ECU10控制。
例如,ECU10通过对燃料添加阀4进行控制从而执行过滤器的再生处理。过滤器的再生处理为,用于对堆积在SCRF7中的PM进行去除的处理。当燃料从燃料添加阀4而被添加且该燃料向前段催化剂5被供给时,通过该燃料被氧化而产生氧化热。通过该氧化热而使流入SCRF7中的排气被加热。由此,SCRF7的温度会上升。而且,通过对来自燃料添加阀4的燃料添加量进行控制而使SCRF7的温度上升至能够进行PM的氧化的预定的PM氧化温度(例如,600~650℃)。其结果为,堆积在SCRF7中的PM被氧化并被去除。
另外,尽管在未执行上述那样的过滤器再生处理时,但当由于内燃机1的运转状态成为高负载运转等原因而使流入SCRF7中的排气的温度上升时,也存在SCRF7的温度上升至PM氧化温度的情况。在这种情况下,堆积在SCRF7中的PM也会被氧化。
[后段催化剂的概要结构]
在此,基于图2A、2B对本实施例所涉及的后段催化剂8的概要结构进行说明。图2A为表示本实施例所涉及的后段催化剂8的概要结构的图。图2B为表示本实施例所涉及的后段催化剂8中的氨去除用催化剂81的概要结构的图。另外,在图2A、2B中,空心箭头标记表示排气的流动方向。
本实施例所涉及的后段催化剂8由氨去除用催化剂81和HC·CO去除用催化剂82构成。在该后段催化剂8中,HC·CO去除用催化剂82位于排气通道3中沿着排气的流向而与氨去除用催化剂81相比靠下游侧处。
氨去除用催化剂81成为如下结构,即,在基材81a上设置有氨氧化层81b,而且在该氨氧化层81b上设置有吸附还原层81c。氨氧化层81b具有对氨进行氧化的作用。例如,氨氧化层81b通过使贵金属(例如,Pt、Pd或Rh)负载于将氧化铝(Al2O3)或沸石等作为材料的载体上而形成。
吸附还原层81c具有对氨进行吸附的作用以及将氨作为还原剂而对NOX进行还原的作用。例如,吸附还原层81c通过使与贵金属相比而氧化能力较低的卑金属(例如,Fe或Cu)负载于以沸石为材料的载体上而形成。通过将沸石作为载体来使用,从而能够使吸附氨。此外,通过使与贵金属相比而氧化能力较低的卑金属负载于该载体上,从而能够促进将被吸附的氨作为还原剂而进行NOX的还原。
另外,在氨去除用催化剂81中,排气经过吸附还原层81c而到达氨氧化层81b。因此,氨氧化层81b位于与吸附还原层81c相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处。
HC·CO去除用催化剂82为具有对HC及CO进行氧化的作用的氧化催化剂。HC·CO去除用催化剂82与氨去除用催化剂81中的氨氧化层81b相比而氧化能力较高。例如,HC·CO去除用催化剂82与氨去除用氧化剂81中的氨氧化层81b同样通过使贵金属负载于以氧化铝或沸石等为材料的载体上而形成。在这种情况下,HC·CO去除用催化剂82中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量多于氨氧化层81b中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量。由此,能够使HC·CO去除用催化剂82的氧化能力高于氨氧化层81b的氧化能力。
另外,也可以将HC·CO去除用催化剂82设为包括具有吸附HC作用的HC吸附层和具有氧化作用的氧化层的结构。在这种情况下,氧化层被配置于与HC吸附层相比沿排气的流向而靠下游侧处。根据这种结构,HC在到达氧化层之前而暂时被吸附在HC吸附层上。因此,可对因氧化层的HC造成的中毒进行抑制。因此,能够促进氧化层中的CO的氧化。
在上述结构中,吸附还原层81c相当于本发明所涉及的吸附还原部,氨氧化层81b相当于本发明所涉及的第一氧化部,HC·CO去除用催化剂82相当于本发明所涉及的第二氧化部。
[本实施例所涉及的结构的效果]
在本实施例中,存在如下情况,即,在过滤器再生处理被执行时,被供给至前段催化剂5的燃料中所含有的HC及CO的一部分在该前段催化剂5中未被氧化而从该前段催化剂5经过。经过了前段催化剂5的HC及CO流入SCRF7中。然而,被负载于SCRF7中的SCR催化剂7a的氧化能力非常低。因此,流入SCRF7中的HC及CO难以在SCR催化剂7a中被氧化。因此,存在经过了前段催化剂5的HC及CO也从SCRF7经过的情况。
此外,当堆积在SCRF7中的PM被氧化时,生成CO。在SCRF7中,该CO也难以被氧化。因此,当通过PM的氧化而生成CO时,该CO也有可能从SCRF7流出。并且,虽然从氨添加阀6被添加的氨作为还原剂而向SCRF7被供给,但是存在如下情况,即,被供给的氨的一部分未被SCR催化剂7a中的NOX的还原所消耗。在这种情况下,未被SCR催化剂7a中的NOX的还原所消耗的氨从SCRF7流出。
而且,在本实施例中,当HC、CO或氨从SCRF7流出时,HC、CO或氨会流入后段催化剂8。当氨流入后段催化剂8时,该氨的一部分吸附在氨去除用催化剂81的吸附还原层81c上。此外,流入了后段催化剂8中的氨的另一部分,即经过吸附还原层81c而到达氨氧化层81b的氨,通过该氨氧化层81b而被氧化。由此,生成N2或NOX。在本实施例所涉及的结构中,即使在氨氧化层81b中因氨被氧化而生成NOX的情况下,也能够将吸附还原层81c所吸附的氨作为还原剂而对该NOX进行还原。如此,根据本实施例,能够在后段催化剂8中的氨去除用催化剂81中,将氨从排气中去除。
此外,当HC或CO流入后段催化剂8时,HC或CO通过与氨去除用催化剂81的氨氧化层81b相比而氧化能力较高的HC·CO去除用催化剂82而被氧化。因此,根据本实施例,能够在后段催化剂8中的HC·CO去除用催化剂82中,将HC及CO从排气中去除。
而且,在本实施例所涉及的后段催化剂8中,HC·CO去除用催化剂82位于与氨去除用催化剂81相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处。此外,在氨去除用催化剂81中,氨氧化层81b位于与吸附还原层81c相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处。因此,通过使流入了后段催化剂8中的氨不被吸附在吸附还原层81c中而在氨氧化层81b或氨去除用催化剂81中被氧化,从而能够对生成NOX的情况进行抑制。此外,氨氧化层81b的氧化能力低于氨去除用催化剂81的氧化能力。因此,能够通过氨氧化层81b对氨被过量氧化的情况进行抑制。
[改变例]
图3为表示本实施例的后段催化剂8的改变例的概要结构的图。在本结构中,在基材8a上设置有HC·CO氧化层8b,在该HC·CO氧化层8b上设置有氨氧化层8c,在该氨氧化层8c上设置有吸附还原层8d。
HC·CO氧化层8b具有与图2A所示的结构中的HC·CO去除用催化剂82相同的作用。氨氧化层8c具有与图2B所示的结构中的氨氧化层81b相同的作用。吸附还原层8d具有与图2B所示的结构中的吸附还原层82c相同的作用。
此外,在通过使贵金属负载于载体上而形成氨氧化层8c和HC·CO氧化层8b时,将HC·CO氧化层8b中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量设定为多于氨氧化层8c中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量。由此,能够使HC·CO氧化层8b的氧化能力高于氨氧化层8c的氧化能力。
在本结构中,排气经过吸附还原层8d而到达氨氧化层8c,并且经过氨氧化层8c而达到HC·CO氧化层8b。因此,HC·CO氧化层8b位于与吸附还原层8d及氨氧化层8c相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处。此外,氨氧化层8c位于与吸附还原层8d相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处。另外,由于在本结构中,需要使排气经过氨氧化层8c,因此作为该氨氧化层8c的载体而优选为使用多孔质材料即沸石。
在本结构中,吸附还原层8d相当于本发明所涉及的吸附还原部,氨氧化层8c相当于本发明所涉及的第一氧化部,HC·CO氧化层8b相当于本发明所涉及的第二氧化部。
即使在将后段催化剂以如本结构那样的方式构成的情况下,也能够获得与以如图2A、2B所示那样的方式构成后段催化剂8的情况同样的效果。
[其他]
在本实施例中,当向后段催化剂8流入的排气中的HC、CO及氨在与排气通道3的轴向相垂直的垂直方向上的分布不均衡时,在后段催化剂8中难以使HC、CO以及氨被去除。在此,也可以在与SCRF7相比靠下游侧且与后段催化剂8相比靠上游侧的排气通道3中设置与轴向相垂直的垂直方向的截面积较小的节流部。通过设置这样的节流部,从而能够使向后段催化剂8流入的排气中的HC、CO及氨在与排气通道3的轴向相垂直的垂直方向上的分布不均衡减小。其结果为,使后段催化剂8中的HC、CO以及氨易于去除。
另外,也可以代替节流部而设置用于使排气中的HC、CO以及氨分散的分散板。通过这样的方式也能够获得与设置节流部的情况相同的效果。

1.一种内燃机的排气净化装置,具备:
过滤器,其为被设置于内燃机的排气通道上并对排气中的颗粒状物质进行捕集的过滤器,并且负载有将氨作为还原剂而对排气中的NOX进行还原的选择还原型NOX催化剂;
氨供给装置,其向所述过滤器供给氨或氨的前驱体;
后段催化剂,其被设置于与所述过滤器相比而靠下游侧的排气通道上,
在所述内燃机的排气净化装置中,所述后段催化剂被构成为,包括:
吸附还原部,其具有对氨进行吸附的作用以及将氨作为还原剂而对NOX进行还原的作用;
第一氧化部,其位于与所述吸附还原部相比沿着排气的流向而靠下游侧处,并具有对氨进行氧化的作用;

所述第一氧化部及所述第二氧化部通过使贵金属负载于载体上而形成,并且,
所述第二氧化部中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量多于所述第一氧化部中的每单位面积的贵金属的负载量。
