技术领域
本公开涉及气体压力调节器,具体涉及与液体缸或压缩气体缸一起使用的气体压力调节器,例如用于氧燃料切割应用的气体压力调节器。
背景技术
该部分的陈述仅提供与本公开相关的背景信息,可能不构成现有技术。
气体压力调节器用于各种应用,以减小并调节从气体缸提供给下游设备的气体的压力。在一个普通应用——氧燃料切割中,设有两个气体缸,一个用于乙炔气,另一个用于氧气。如图1所示,气体压力调节器1固定至气体缸2的顶部(仅示出一个气体压力调节器和一个气体缸),气体缸2由操作员控制以正确调节用于点火和随后的切割的气体压力。这些传统的气体压力调节器1包括缸压测量仪3、管路压力测量仪4、以及管路压力调节旋钮5。此外,缸阀旋钮6安装至气体缸2以打开和关闭从气体缸2至气体压力调节器1的气体流动。气体压力调节器1还包括其它特征,例如示出的减压阀7和出口8。对于这些传统的气体压力调节器1和它们安装至气体缸2的方式,存在几个当气体缸2在操作期间例如落下或者误操作时容易受损的位置,如所示。
这些传统的气体压力调节器数十年来保持了基本相同的设计,也带有它们总体体积大的特性以及随着时间流逝而缺乏坚固性和人体工程学的特征。更安全、更容易使用、为终端用户提供更加紧凑的改进的气体压力调节器在气体调节领域中,特别是对于调节存储在气体缸(包括用于氧燃料切割的气体缸)中的可燃或者易燃压缩气体,是一直为人们所期望的。
发明内容
在本公开的一个形式中,提供一种气体压力调节器,其适于安装到气体缸。该气体压力调节器包括:本体,其限定有前部和相反的侧部;以及安装到本体的前部的多个气体压力指示器。罩安装到本体的外部,压力调节旋钮接近罩、并且相对于加压气体缸的纵向轴线水平地安装到本体的一个侧部。能量吸收装置操作地与压力调节旋钮和罩接合,该能量吸收装置能够从施加到压力调节旋钮上的冲击载荷吸收能量。在一个形式中,能量吸收装置是布置在压力调节旋钮与罩之间的弹性构件,该弹性构件能够变形并且从压力调节旋钮上的冲击载荷吸收能量。在另一形式中,能量吸收装置包括一系列构件,该一系列构件在冲击载荷下连续地减慢压力调节旋钮的速度。
在另一形式中,提供一种气体压力调节器,其包括适于安装到气体缸的气体压力调节器。该气体压力调节器包括:本体,其限定有前部和相反的侧部;安装到本体的前部的多个气体压力指示器;罩,其安装到本体的外部;压力调节旋钮,其接近罩、并且相对于加压气体缸的纵向轴线水平地安装到本体的一个侧部;以及布置在压力调节旋钮与罩之间的弹性构件,该弹性构件能够变形并且从压力调节旋钮上的冲击载荷吸收能量。
在又一形式中,提供一种气体压力调节器,其适于安装到气体缸。该气体压力调节器包括:本体,其限定有前部和相反的侧部;安装到本体的前部的多个气体压力指示器;罩,其安装到本体的外部;压力调节旋钮,其接近罩、并且相对于加压气体缸的纵向轴线水平地安装到本体的一个侧部;以及能量吸收装置,其包括一系列构件,该一系列构件在冲击载荷下连续地减慢压力调节旋钮的速度。

具体实施方式
以下描述本质上仅是示例性的,不旨在限制本公开、应用、或用途。
参照图2-8,根据本公开的教导的气体压力调节器被示出并总体由附图标记20表示。气体压力调节器20包括本体22,本体22分别限定有前部24和相反的侧部26和28。第一气体压力指示器30在本公开的一个形式中呈模拟测量仪的形式,安装到本体22的前部24的下端32。第二气体压力指示器40在本公开的该形式中也呈模拟测量仪的形式,安装到本体22的前部24的上端42。如所示,第一气体压力指示器30和第二气体压力指示器40有利地叠置成竖直构造,并且相对于气体缸2向侧部偏移(如图5中的虚线所示)。应理解,气体缸2仅仅是可利用根据本公开的气体压力调节器20的多种气体输送系统的示例。例如,其它气体输送系统可包括煤气管道或煤气站。这样,此处阐述的气体压力调节器20可应用于多种气体输送系统,而不是仅仅应用于气体缸。而且,“气体”缸2不应理解为仅限于压缩气体,而是还可包括液体和其它流体形式,而保持在本公开的范围内。
如进一步所示,压力调节旋钮50安装到本体22的一个侧部28。在该形式中,气体压力调节器20安装到气体缸2上(图5),使得压力调节旋钮50相对于气体缸2的纵向轴线X水平延伸。压力调节旋钮50相对于气体缸2的附加构造在下面更详细地描述。另外,一个形式中的压力调节旋钮50为了容易使用/抓握而包括织纹外表面,该外表面如所示呈肋52和齿形孔54的形式。
而且如图5所示,气体压力调节器20的元件布置在(或者气体压力调节器20的元件的大部分布置在)气体缸2的外壁的外轮廓P或延伸部内,这样减少了当气体缸2在使用期间落下或者误操作时气体压力调节器20上的冲击点的数量。通常,布置在轮廓P中的元件是实现保持系统压力或完整性的能力的元件。因此,气体压力调节器20是紧凑的,并且比现有技术中传统的气体压力调节器更加坚固。下面更详细地描述气体压力调节器20的其它坚固特征。
如进一步示出,气体压力调节器20还包括本体防护件62和罩64。应理解,尽管对于本体防护件62和罩64示出了两个分离件,但是这两个部件可选地可以是单个一体件,或者是多个件,而落入本公开的范围内。一个形式中的罩64是锌-铝合金,替代了传统的黄铜材料,一个形式中的本体防护件62是中等耐冲击ABS(丙烯腈-丁二烯-苯乙烯)。然而应理解,也可以利用包括黄铜在内的、坚固且能够在操作期间承受冲击破坏的其它材料,同时保持在本公开的范围内。
参照图2和图5-8中的本体防护件62,该本体防护件62的轮廓构造成使得压力指示器30和40在防护件62的前部轮廓和脊66后方的孔65内凹入。另外,压力指示器30和40位于罩64的外径“D”内,如图5最佳示出的那样。这样,无论本体防护件62是否安装在本体22上,都进一步地保护压力指示器30和40免于冲击破坏。
一个形式中的罩64用螺栓68紧固至本体22。这样,实现了用于气体压力调节器20的较短设计轮廓。应理解,罩64可利用诸如扣合设计或者螺纹的其它方式固定至本体22。如进一步示出的,罩64还包括接近压力调节旋钮50的成型外表面70,成型外表面70呈肋72和齿形孔74的形式,类似于压力调节旋钮50。
现在参照图4和9,压力调节旋钮50如所示通过布置在罩64内的调节构件80和压缩弹簧82安装到本体22。呈弹性构件84形式的能量吸收装置布置在压力调节旋钮50与本体22之间,更具体地,抵接压力调节旋钮50的内凹部86和罩64的外唇88。注意,呈该形式的压力调节旋钮50未固定至弹性构件84。在一个形式中,滑环89如所示布置在弹性构件84与压力调节旋钮50的内部之间,这样减小了压力调节旋钮50与弹性构件84之间的摩擦。应理解,也可利用用于减小该摩擦的其它方式,例如润滑剂,同时保持在本公开的范围内。
弹性构件84限定有能够在压力调节旋钮50经受冲击载荷时变形或压缩并吸收能量的材料。例如,在一个形式中,弹性构件84是高强度氨基甲酸乙酯材料,然而应理解,也可利用压缩和/或变形以从冲击载荷吸收能量的其它材料,同时保持在本公开的范围内。该冲击加载在图10中示出,其中气缸2沿箭头方向落下,压力调节旋钮50直接冲击地面或者周围环境。当该冲击发生时,其可以形成多种角度或取向而非图10中示出的,冲击载荷从压力调节旋钮50传递至弹性构件84,弹性构件84变形从而从该冲击吸收很多能量。结果,提供了更加坚固的气体压力调节器20。
参照图11-13,用于在压力调节旋钮50经受冲击载荷时使用的能量吸收装置的另一形式被示出并且总体示出为一系列构件92、94和96。通常,构件92、94和96在冲击载荷下连续变形并减慢压力调节旋钮50的速度。原则上,在冲击期间行进的距离越远,冲击力就变得越小。在本发明中,在冲击期间行进的距离是当冲击发生时旋钮50变形/挤压的距离。更具体地,第一级构件92如所示限定了沿着压力调节旋钮50的内中央部延伸的弧形壁93,以及端部95。壁93限定有具体厚度“t”,如图13所示,使得在冲击载荷下,端部95接触罩84,并且当载荷到达某个限值时,壁93弯曲并失效。接着,第二级构件94限定有多个围绕压力调节旋钮50的内周定位的成角度的壁97,如所示。在冲击载荷下,在第一级构件92的壁93如上所述失效之后,成角度的壁97接着随着压力调节旋钮50的连续移动而靠近罩84移动。当成角度的壁97与罩84接合时,它们连续地将自身更紧地楔入至罩84上,使得压力调节旋钮50趋于在楔入作用下向外变形。在冲击载荷下该楔入和变形进一步减慢了压力调节旋钮50的速度。接着,第三级构件96限定有多个从构件96延伸的钉99,如所示。在冲击载荷下,在成角度的壁97如上所述将其自身楔入至罩84上时,钉99然后将接合罩84以进一步减慢压力调节旋钮50的速度。在钉99接合罩84之后,构件96然后变形并进一步减慢了压力调节旋钮50的速度。因此,通过该一系列构件92、94和96与罩84的连续接合,能量吸收装置使得压力调节旋钮50在高冲击载荷下内部挤压并且在罩84上滑动。这些载荷例如可以为约8000-9000磅力的量级。对于此处提供的创新性公开,这些载荷能够通过压力调节旋钮50吸收而不对气体压力调节器20造成严重破坏,从而提供更加坚固的设计。此外,减小了对气体缸2或者气体输送系统的潜在破坏。
尽管一系列构件92、94和96示出为与压力调节旋钮50一体形成,但是应理解可利用分离件,同时保留在本公开的范围内。此外,构件92、94和96的具体数量和构造仅仅是示例性的,不应理解为限制本公开的范围。
应理解,具体的能量吸收装置,即弹性构件84和一系列构件92、94和96,仅仅是示例性的,不旨在限制本公开的范围。多种能量吸收装置可以与压力调节旋钮50一起使用,无论是如所示和所述那样是内部的,还是外部的,都同时保留在本公开的精神和意图中。这样,此处示出和描述的具体的能量吸收装置不限制本公开的范围。
如图2、5和6最佳示出的那样,罩64和压力调节旋钮50包括向用户提供关于某些功能在哪里运行和如何运行的信息的多种标记。例如在罩64上,低压标记“L.P.”和箭头100在第二气体压力指示器40附近示出,以指示该压力指示器用于低压或者离开调节器的气体的压力。类似地,高压标记“H.P.”和箭头102在第一气体压力指示器30附近示出,以指示该压力指示器用于高压或者在气体缸2内的气体的压力。在压力调节旋钮50上,标记104提供了以下信息:旋钮50的顺时针旋转增大压力,旋钮50的逆时针旋转减小压力。应理解,可以提供其它类型的标记,包括但不限于指示不安全压力水平的LED,同时保留在本公开的范围内。
如图3进一步示出,本体22包括多个配件110、112和114。配件110是安全减压阀。配件112适于将气体压力调节器20安装至气体缸2(参照图5)。配件114是出口接头,即与连接到下游设备的软管相连接的出口接头。有利地,出口配件114指向气体压力调节器本体22的外部后下方,这样将使操作员远离与软管相关的危险。应理解,根据本公开的教导可以利用任意数量和/或构造的配件,因而此处示出和描述的配件仅仅是示例性的,不应理解为限制本公开的范围。
现在参照图14,如所示设置入口过滤器120以保护气体压力调节器20的内部部件,在本公开的一些形式中,利用两级入口过滤进行双座保护。此外,如所示设置隔膜130,隔膜130在一个形式中是用于标准工业应用的高强度织物加强氯丁橡胶材料。对于高纯度或液体应用,在本公开的另一形式中隔膜采用不锈钢材料。
如图15和16所示,气体压力调节器的可选形式被示出并总体由附图标记200和210表示。气体压力调节器200安装在具有后站入口(rear station inlet)的气体缸(未示出)上,使得压力调节旋钮50是竖直的并且面向上。在该形式中,尽管气体压力指示器202和204以水平或直线构造示出,但是应理解和解释为本申请中使用的术语“竖直构造”。可选地,气体压力调节器210安装在具有后站入口的气体缸(未示出)上,使得压力调节旋钮50是竖直的并且面向下。类似地,尽管气体压力指示器206和208以水平或直线构造示出,但是应理解和解释为本申请中使用的术语“竖直构造”。这些和其它安装构造应理解为落入本公开的范围内。
应注意,本公开不限于作为示例示出和描述的实施例。例如,根据本公开的教导的气体压力调节器不限于氧燃料切割应用,可用于能够获得下文公开的独特设计的益处的其它应用。已经描述了大量的变型,更多的是本领域技术人员的知识的一部分。这些和其它变型以及技术等同物的替换可以添加到说明书和附图,而不离开本公开和本专利的保护范围。

Claims (10)

1.一种气体压力调节器,其适于安装到气体缸,该气体压力调节器包括:
本体,其限定有前部和相反的侧部;
安装到本体的前部的多个气体压力指示器;
罩,其安装到本体的外部;
压力调节旋钮,其接近罩、并且相对于加压气体缸的纵向轴线水平地安装到本体的一个侧部,所述压力调节旋钮包括中空空间;以及
能量吸收装置,其包括弹性构件,该弹性构件布置在压力调节旋钮与本体之间并且位于压力调节旋钮的所述中空空间中,该弹性构件能够变形并且从压力调节旋钮上的冲击载荷吸收能量。
2.根据权利要求1所述的气体压力调节器,其中,所述弹性构件抵靠所述压力调节旋钮的内部和所述罩的外唇部。
3.根据权利要求2所述的气体压力调节器,其中,所述压力调节旋钮具有包围所述罩的外唇部的部分。
4.根据权利要求2所述的气体压力调节器,其中,所述弹性构件与所述罩的外唇部接触。
5.根据权利要求1所述的气体压力调节器,其中,所述压力调节旋钮未固定至弹性构件。
6.根据权利要求1所述的气体压力调节器,其中,所述弹性构件是高强度氨基甲酸乙酯材料。
7.根据权利要求1所述的气体压力调节器,还包括布置在所述弹性构件与所述压力调节旋钮的内部之间的滑环,以减小所述压力调节旋钮与所述弹性构件之间的摩擦。
8.根据权利要求1所述的气体压力调节器,其中,所述气体压力调节器安装到气体缸上,使得压力调节旋钮为水平。
9.根据权利要求1所述的气体压力调节器,还包括安装到本体的本体防护件,该本体防护件具有孔,气体压力指示器穿过所述孔安装。
10.根据权利要求9所述的气体压力调节器,其中,第一和第二气体压力指示器在本体防护件的孔内凹入。
