Abstract

Description

自旋式滤清器的密封装置
本发明涉及一种液体滤清器的密封装置,特别是一种自旋式油滤清器的密封装置。
众所周知,自旋式油滤清器常用于内燃机的润滑系统中。这类滤清器通常包括一个外部容器及一用来封闭中空圆筒状滤清元件的端盖。并且在滤清器的端盖和安装该滤清器的发动机体或连接板或类似物之间,采用了一环状密封垫圈,使这些元件之间得到有效地密封。通常,在该端盖上所形成的环状凹槽内设置一个车制矩形截面的垫圈。然后将该凹槽的一侧或两侧壁卷曲,使该垫圈封装在内。
这种密封垫圈的缺点是,垫圈相对端盖的转动受到阻碍。尽管垫圈在装配前予先经过了润滑,但是,一旦垫圈与密封基面相对接触后,在滤清器旋转至最终工作位置时,垫圈将会受到剪切变形。垫圈这种内部剪切的形成会导致垫圈移动,并使密封失效。
采用这种密封垫圈的滤清器,还存在因装配使该垫圈与端盖间困入空气的可能性。这种困入作用象一个弹簧,一旦空气逸出,会使作用于该垫圈的有效扭矩减小。这样,使滤清器因振动而松脱,甚至可能导致滤清器离开安装位置。
一些最新式的滤清器,业已采用了一种基本呈圆形的密封垫圈。这种密封垫圈具有沿切向和径向向内延伸的唇部,并由一部分卷曲的端盖把持,且使该卷曲部分与该唇部松动地配合。因而,这种垫圈能相对该端盖转动,从而限制了装配过程中垫圈要承受的内部剪切作用。
可是,这类密封垫圈不能用于普通的自旋式滤清器的端盖上。另外,这种垫圈在安装前需要正确的表面定向,因此,很难适用于端盖的自动化装配。一旦这种垫圈移动了,也很难用手工重新安装。结果是,在垫圈上所形成的延伸唇部,极易切断和撕裂,特别是在安装不当时,更是如此。
本发明的目的是提供一种自旋式滤清器的密封装置,使在操作过程中该垫圈仍保留在滤清器内,同时安装时允许垫圈在凹槽座内自由转动。本发明的进一步目的是该密封装置可以用任一轴向面插入自旋式滤清器,并可在现行通用的车削装置的插入机构中送进进行加工,适于大多数通用的沟缝型垫圈的安装凹槽且具有圆边,这样避免了空气的困入。
本发明的目的是由下述特征达到的,本发明的一种自旋式滤清器的密封装置包括一个通常呈圆筒状的具有纵向轴及一个封闭端和一个敞开端的外壳,一个设置在外壳的敞开端的端盖,以及一个配置在外壳内的滤清元件,一个垫圈,其截面通常为矩形,该滤清器适于用螺纹形式连接到一块安装板上,其特征是所述的密封装置包括:
所述的环状垫圈,配置在由所述的端盖内所形成的一个环状密封凹槽座内,所述的垫圈上设有一圆周沟槽,并且基本上与径向延伸的表面是对称的;
所述的端盖包括一个与其整体形成的固位装置,该固位装置伸入所述垫圈的沟槽内。用于将所述垫圈保持在所述凹槽座内;
所述的垫圈被保持在所述端盖的凹槽座内,但是在该滤清器安装过程中旋转时,所述的垫圈相对于所述的端盖基本上是可以自由转动的。
下面,参照附图对最佳实施例进行详述,通过这些叙述,本发明的上述优点及其它优点对本领域的普通技术人员会更加清楚明了。其中:

参见附图,图1示出了根据本发明所提供的自旋式滤清器装置,该装置用总体标号8表示。滤清器装置8包括一个外壳或容器10,其一端由一与之为一体的端壁12封闭。外壳10的另一端设有加强板14及环形端盖16。用点焊或类似方式将端盖16的内周边固定到加强板14的下侧面,而端盖16的外周边则用不渗漏流体的滚轧缝或接合点18与容器10的下端固定在一起。垫圈20最好由例如腈橡胶、或类似的耐油弹性材料制作,并安放在端盖16下侧上所形成的环状凹槽座22内,并于这一点,将在下文详述。当滤清器装置8可操作地安装在滤清器的安装座上,例如安装在一台内燃机上时,形成一个油进口腔(未示),而垫圈20对该油进口腔应当是流体密封的。
加强板14在其中心设有内螺纹套24,该内螺纹套24适于拧到一个外螺纹杆(未示)上。该外螺纹杆有一中心通道,使来自滤清器装置8的油经过该通道流出。加强板14还备有一组进口26,来自进口腔需过滤的油液可经过这些进口26流进滤清器装置8的内部。中空圆筒状滤清元件28安装在容器10之内,并通过诸如支承结构30这样合适的装置在加强板14的上方隔开而设置着。这样,经进口26流进滤清器装置8的油径向向外地流到容器10和滤清元件28之间的空间,在该空间内又沿轴向并朝着端壁12的方向流动,此后再径向向内流动,当油液穿过滤清元件28时,流进了多孔的中心管32中,从而得到滤清。中心管32内的油经过套24从滤清器装置8排出,再由上述外螺纹杆上的中心通道流回到发动机中。
采用任何合适的装置,例如设置于该滤清元件28端部和容器10的端壁12间的片簧34,可将滤清元件28固定在容器10内的一个位置上。片簧34推压滤清元件28使其靠在支承结构30上。通常,滤清器装置8在靠近加强板14处还设置有止回阀36,以防发动机停止工作时通过滤清器的油逆流。压力安全阀38设置在支承结构30内,该阀可在滤清元件28过分阻塞时形成旁路,使油仍能流过该滤清装置8。
如前述,且已在图2中作了清楚地表示,垫圈20通过相对侧壁40和42设置在端盖16上所形成的环状凹槽22内。垫圈20最好以一种合适的耐油弹性材料模制而成,业已发现的这种合适材料之一是腈橡胶。垫圈20最好还带有圆角边,以减少该滤清器安装过程中可能困入凹槽22内的空气量。例如,已经发现,了实现这一目的,半径约0.127厘米(约0.05英寸)的圆角边是适宜的。
端盖16备有固位装置,该装置伸入垫圈20内表面上所形成的一个沟槽44中,并在该沟槽44内延伸,以此方式将垫圈20保持在凹槽22内。在图1和图2所示的实施例中,内侧壁42的末端处径向朝外形成夹角,构成环状凸部46,该凸部46延伸进垫圈20上所形成的沟槽44内。这样,在滤清器安装与操作过程中,避免了垫圈20从凹槽22内脱落出来。
尽管环状凸部46伸进沟槽44内,但并不紧贴住垫圈20。垫圈20和凹槽22的尺寸应作成这样,即垫圈20的外圆周与外侧壁40之间,或者垫圈20的内圆周与内侧壁42间留有间隙。在一个合适的实施例中,垫圈20的内径与内侧壁42的直径大体相等,而垫圈20的外径比外侧壁40的直径约小0.064厘米(约0.025英寸)。在该例中,沟槽44约深0.064厘米(约0.025英寸),而该环状凸部的直径比内侧壁42的直径约大0.127厘米(约0.050英寸)。更好的是,垫圈20的外圆周和外侧壁40之间,及垫圈20的内圆周和内侧壁42之间都有间隙。所以在另外的一实施例中,垫圈20内径比内侧壁42的直径约大0.076厘米(约0.030英寸),而该垫圈的外径比外侧壁40的直径约小0.064厘米(约0.025英寸)。沟槽44的深度也是约为0.064厘米(约0.025英寸),而该环状凸部直径比内侧壁42直径约大0.127厘米(约0.050英寸)。
这样,在安装过程中,当滤清器装置8转动时,垫圈20即可在凹槽22内自由地转动,从而减小了作用于垫圈20的剪切量。同时,环状凸部46与沟槽44又充分的接触,这样避免了垫圈20沿轴向从凹槽22移出。垫圈20与凹槽22间所提供的间隙,与垫圈20上的圆边的作用相结合,使滤清器装置8安装时困在垫圈20与凹槽22间的任何气体得以逸出。
沟槽44最好在垫圈20内表面的中央处附近形成,如图2所示,垫圈20大体对称。尽管如前所述,垫圈20小于凹槽22的尺寸,但是,将垫圈20作成大体呈“B”字形状,有助于环状凸部46将垫圈20卡在凹槽22内。这种对称的垫圈20进一步优点是,在垫圈20装进凹槽22之前,不需作面向的选择。
图3示出了另外一个实施例,在该实施例中,端盖16的内侧壁42设置一组圆周间隔的、径向朝外延伸的舌片或弯折48,这些舌片或弯折48可以困在普通的自旋式滤清器的端盖上。舌片48与侧壁42基本形成一体。每个舌片48伸进沟槽44中,如前述那样,与环状凸部46类似的方式将垫圈20保持在凹槽22之内。这样,其优点是,这种垫圈20可广泛用于日常通用的许多端盖上。
本发明的密封装置以这种方式在操作中保持着垫圈,同时,在安装过程中允许垫圈在凹槽座内自由地转动。这种密封装置可以用任一纵向面插入自旋式滤清器中,并可在现行通用的车削装置的插入机构中送进,进行加工,适用于普通的沟缝型垫圈安装凹槽,且具有可消除困闭空气的圆边。
按照专利法规定,已描述的本发明仅是其最佳实施例的代表。而应当指出,在不脱离本发明精神和范围的情况下,可以做出不同于具体图示和上文内容的其它实施例。

Claims (9)

1.一种自旋式滤清器的密封装置,该滤清器包括一个通常呈圆筒状的具有纵向轴及一个封闭端和一个敞开端的外壳,一个设置在外壳的敞开端的端盖,以及一个配置在外壳内的滤清元件,一个垫圈,其截面通常为矩形,该滤清器适于用螺纹形式连接到一块安装板上,其特征是所述的密封装置包括:
所述的环状垫圈,配置在由所述的端盖内所形成的一个环状密封凹槽座内,所述的垫圈上设有一圆周沟槽,并且基本上与径向延伸的表面是对称的;
所述的端盖包括一个与其整体形成固位装置,该固位装置伸入所述垫圈的沟槽内。用于将所述垫圈保持在所述凹槽座内;
所述的垫圈被保持在所述端盖的凹槽座内,但是在该滤清器安装过程中旋转时,所述的垫圈相对于所述的端盖基本上是可以自由转动的。
2.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述的圆周沟槽形成在所述垫圈的轴向延伸的表面上。
3.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述的固位装置包括许多与所述端盖为一体的、圆周状间隔的、径向外伸的舌片。
4.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述的环状凹槽包括一径向内侧壁和一个径向外侧壁,所述的固位装置包括一个自所述环状凹槽座内侧壁径向向外延伸的环状凸部,该环状凸部伸入所述垫圈上的沟槽内。
5.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述垫圈的四个角是圆边,以免该滤清器在安装时在所述垫圈和所述密封凹槽座之间困闭空气。
6.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述的环状密封凹槽座包括一个径向内侧壁和一个径向外侧壁,其中所述垫圈径向延伸的内表面与所述环状凹槽座的内侧壁相互隔开,所述垫圈轴向延伸的外表面与所述环状凹槽座的外侧壁相互隔开。
7.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述的固位装置松动地接合在所述垫圈的沟槽上,从而所述的垫圈保持在所述端盖内的凹槽座内,但是在该滤清器安装过程中旋转时,所述的垫圈相对于所述的端盖是可以自由转动的。
8.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述垫圈的径向向内的轴向外伸的表面与所述的环状凹槽座是隔开的。
9.根据权利要求1所述的自旋式滤清器的密封装置,其特征是,所述垫圈的径向向外的轴向外伸的表面是与所述的环状凹槽座相隔的。
