Description

技术领域
本发明总体上涉及数字内容传递，并且具体地说涉及控制对于数字内容的访问。
背景技术

所谓的‘第二屏幕’正在变得越来越普及。它可以说是诸如平板电脑或智能电话的辅助电子装置，其通常与电视机（‘主屏幕’）交互，以便提供与在主屏幕上显示的内容的交互或向在主屏幕上显示的内容提供附加信息。一个示例示出了在主屏幕上的垒球游戏和在第二屏幕上的玩家统计数据。另一个示例是交互智力竞争节目，其中，可以使用第二屏幕来输入对于在主屏幕上呈现的问题的回答，使得观众可以参与游戏。

迄今，已经使用三种主要技术来提供同步：元数据、指纹和水印。
在元数据技术中，广播公司在视频数据流中嵌入元数据。在用户的住处，通过例如主屏幕本身或机顶盒（STB）来将视频数据流与元数据分离。主屏幕因此接收和渲染视频数据流，而元数据被发送到第二屏幕，第二屏幕使用元数据的一部分来用于元数据的剩余部分与视频数据流的同步。该技术的缺点是需要在分离和发送元数据的装置和第二屏幕之间的连接。
在指纹技术中，向主屏幕发送视频数据流，在主屏幕处，渲染该视频数据流。第二屏幕捕获所渲染内容的至少一部分，优选地为音频，并且计算音频指纹，即所谓的“DNA”指纹。第二屏幕然后向特殊服务器发送DNA指纹，该特殊服务器计算（或从广播公司接收）多个频道的DNA指纹，并且将从第二屏幕接收的DNA指纹与其本身的DNA指纹作比较。当存在匹配时，该服务器向第二屏幕返回该频道和时间。该解决方案的缺陷是架构相当复杂和成本大（它耗费时间和资源）。另外，该服务器不能告知广播同一内容的两个频道之间的差别。
在水印技术中，广播公司在视频数据流的音频部分中插入水印。该水印唯一地识别时间和频道。当主屏幕渲染内容时，第二屏幕能够捕获音频，提取水印并且获得时间和频道。缺点是广播公司必须将内容加水印，这不总是是所期望的，因为它要求对于内容工作流的修改，并且因为水印具有成本（性能、许可、音频质量等）。
因此可以明白，需要一种用于提供用于在主屏幕和第二屏幕之间的同步的改进技术的解决方案。本发明提供这种解决方案。
发明内容
