Description

托盘边板系统
技术领域
本发明涉及用于运输和储存商品的托盘,并且特别地涉及这样的托盘的制造、修理和/或加强。
背景技术
托盘通常用于运输和/或储存商品。
典型的木制托盘包括商品堆叠在上面的顶铺板。顶铺板由安装在框架上的多个平行横向顶板形成。当托盘100将被提升时叉车的叉位于框架的通道中。
当将叉车的叉定位在托盘通道中时叉车通常朝着托盘行驶直到叉车与托盘碰撞。该碰撞在叉车与托盘的顶部和底部边板(leader board)之间(在托盘的前面或后面),并且重复这样的碰撞之后导致那些板的损坏。边板的损坏包括分裂和破裂、从框架的支承垫块移位、板的变形和/或作为整体的托盘的变形(例如通过托盘的偏斜)。该损坏与由叉车的重复撞击施加到前和后边板的总力一起显著地影响作为整体的托盘的结构完整性达到需要频繁和定期修理托盘的程度。
由于突出碎片和/或钉刮擦、刺穿和/或自身嵌入那些商品中,损坏的板也常常导致储存在托盘上的商品的损坏。
此外,由于在输送机上/运输装置中卡住,损坏的板或变形的托盘又可以导致输送机的带和其它运输装置的损坏或破坏。在一些自动仓库系统中,托盘被扫描并且如果托盘不符合要求的尺寸等(例如通过托盘或板变形),托盘的处理停止,导致昂贵的延迟。
为了解决托盘损坏的问题,在世界上有许多托盘修理设施。通常通过去除任何损坏的板并且用新板更换它们而修理损坏的托盘。这是比较耗时且昂贵的方法(在修理和托盘的“停工时间”两个方面)和与其说解决问题不如说仅仅延迟问题的方法:一种权宜之计。此外,如果未正确地执行修理,则经修理的托盘可能不具有正确的尺寸/规格并且当被处理时导致问题(如上所述)。
尽管传统木制托盘的替代构造的托盘已被考虑(例如塑料或金属托盘),但是这样的替代托盘对于增加的利益来说必然过于昂贵,使木制托盘以及它们的高频率修理周期成为托盘的最常见形式。
另外,在托盘由塑料材料制造的情况下托盘在典型地设于自动仓库系统中的链式输送机上滑动(而不是抓紧)。这是由于由塑料托盘提供的摩擦不足。

发明内容
在一个方面中,本发明提供一种与四向进叉托盘一起使用的边板单元,所述托盘属于包括由多个上部支撑板支撑的多个平行横向顶板的类型,所述边板单元包括:
顶部边板,所述顶部边板平行于所述横向顶板并且具有与所述横向顶板大致相同的长度;
底部边板,所述底部边板与所述顶部边板平行、间隔开并且具有与所述顶部边板大致相同的长度;
多个支撑构件,所述多个支撑构件与所述顶部边板和所述底部边板成一体地和垂直地形成并且将所述两个边板保持成它们的间隔配置,每个支撑构件包括用于安装相应的上部支撑板的突起,所述边板和所述支撑构件是结构上一体的并且由塑料材料形成。

1.提供由塑料材料形成的至少一个成一体塑料模制的边板单元,所述塑料模制边板具有:
a)顶部边板,所述顶部边板平行于所述横向顶板并且具有与所述横向顶板大致相同的长度,
b)底部边板,所述底部边板与所述顶部边板平行、间隔并且具有与所述顶部边板大致相同的长度,以及
c)多个支撑构件,所述多个支撑构件与所述顶部边板和所述底部边板成一体地和垂直地形成并且将所述两个边板保持成它们的间隔配置,每个支撑构件包括突起;
2.提供具有第一端部和第二端部的多个木制上部支撑板;
3.如果使用一个成一体塑料模制的边板,则提供至少一个支承垫块;
4.将至少一对木制上部支撑板在它们的第一端部处附连到成一体塑料模制的边板的突起上,以及

1.定义

尽管边板不是在托盘的使用期间受到损坏的唯一板,但是它们(如上面的背景中所述)典型地是最经常受到损坏的板,假如它们是叉车在拾取托盘时碰撞的板。
图1和2提供四向进叉托盘100的透视图。可以看到,叉车可以从前、后、左或右接近并且与托盘100接合。托盘100已装配有根据本发明的实施例的两个边板单元102和104。
托盘100的左端和右端(如所示的实施例中定向)装配有边板单元102和104。多个上部支撑板106、108和100以及下部支撑板112、114和116(在图2中最容易看到,该图提供没有横向顶板的托盘100的描绘)在边板单元102和104之间延伸。支承垫块118、120和122固定在相应的上部和下部支撑板(106/112、108/114、110/116)之间并且处于沿着它们的长度的大约中途。
托盘100的横向顶板124至136通过钉或其它和合适的紧固件固定到上部支撑板106、108和110。

支撑构件306和310位于边板单元102的任一端,支撑构件308在它们之间大致居中。将领会,右和内部支撑构件306和308限定叉通道中的一个(例如144)并且内部和左支撑构件308和310限定第二叉通道(例如142)。
尽管为了便于描述支撑构件306至310被称为在顶部和底部边板302和304之间延伸,但是边板单元被制造成整体单元并且因此支撑构件306至310的顶部和底部实际上是顶部和底部边板302和304的一部分(反之亦然)。
支撑构件306至310的高度被选择成提供顶部边板302和底部边板304之间的期望距离,并且因此提供边板单元所装配到的托盘100中的叉接收通道138、140、142和144的高度。
在提供边板单元102的侧视透视图的图4中可以最容易看到,支撑构件306、308和310均具有在顶部和底部边板302和304之间的实体部分312,以及远离顶部和底部边板302和304延伸的突起314。每个突起314从顶部和底部边板302和304偏移,为边板单元102提供大致“T”形轮廓。
突起314的上侧316从边板单元102的顶部偏移上部支撑板(106至110)的高度加上横向顶板(124至136)的高度。当组装边板单元102和104和托盘100(如下面更详细地所述)时该偏移允许顶板124至136与边板单元102和104的顶部齐平。
突起314的下侧318从边板单元102的底部偏移下部支撑板112至116的高度。当组装边板单元102和104和托盘100(如下面更详细地所述)时该偏移允许下部支撑板112至116与边板单元102和104的底部齐平。
3.制造
在制造期间,每个边板单元102和104可以例如沿着顶部和底部边板302和304的长度模制有一系列型芯外孔320。通过提供这样的一系列孔320,边板单元中所需的塑料的量(和因此边板单元的成本和重量)减小,并且塑料固化更快。
在一些实施例中托盘部件中的一个或多个通过包覆模制形成。例如,支承垫块118、120或122以及边板单元102或104可以通过包覆模制形成。例如,当边板单元(602、604)在一些实施例中通过包覆模制形成时整个边板单元(602、604)通过包覆模制形成。在一些实施例中边板单元(602、604)的仅仅一部分通过包覆模制形成。例如,在一些实施例中,一个或多个突起(606、608、610、612、614或616)形成为包覆模制块,不管是与边板单元的剩余部分成一体还是分离。
作为通过包覆模制制造边板单元的一个例子,在单个模具中模制边板单元(即602)。通过在模具中包括材料实现包覆模制,塑料将围绕所述材料模制。例如,塑料可以围绕木材包覆模制。应当领会可以使用任何木材产品,例如复合木材或未加工木材。
在诸如木材的材料上包覆模制塑料的优点在于,由于塑料不具有良好的记忆,因此木材或复合木材的内芯有助于保持用于组装托盘的紧固件,例如钉或螺钉。另外,当托盘被叉车的叉撞击时包覆模制部件也将减小块的分裂。
在一些实施例中包覆模制块通过在复合木材上包覆模制塑料而形成。在一些实施例中用于包覆模制木材的内芯的塑料是撞击改性塑料(impactmodified plastic)。
参考图5,并且仅仅作为例子,边板单元的大致尺寸可以如下:
■顶部和底部边板长度502:1119mm
■顶部和底部边板宽度504:150mm
■顶部和底部边板深度506:25mm

现在将参考图6A至6D描述组装托盘100和两个边板单元102和104的一种方式。
首先,并且参考图6A,将下部支撑板112、114和116固定在两个边板单元602和604之间。这包括:
■将下部支撑板112的一个端部固定到边板单元602的突起606的下侧并且将相对端部固定到边板单元604的突起608的下侧;
■将下部支撑板114的一个端部固定到边板单元602的突起610的下侧并且将相对端部固定到边板单元604的突起612的下侧;以及
■将下部支撑板116的一个端部固定到边板单元602的突起614的下侧并且将相对端部固定到边板单元604的突起616的下侧。
参见图13B,一旦下部支撑板112至116已固定到边板单元102和104,支承垫块118、120和122固定就位到它们的相应下部支撑板112、114和116。
如图13C中所示,然后将上部支撑板106、108和110固定在两个边板单元102和104之间。这包括:
■将上部支撑板106的一个端部固定到边板单元602的突起606的上侧并且将相对端部固定到边板单元604的突起608的上侧;

最后,如图13D中所示,将横向顶板124至136横放在上部支撑板106至110上并且固定到上部支撑板上。
各种板和板条可以通过钉、螺栓或任何其它合适的紧固件进行固定。将领会,如果使用足够长度的紧固件固定位于支撑构件306至310和支承垫块118至122之上的横向顶板,则紧固件将穿过横向顶板和上部支撑板106至110并且进入支撑构件306至310或支承垫块118至122。需要时这可以用于将上部支撑板106至110固定到相应的支撑构件和支承垫块118至122而不需要附加的紧固件。
边板单元102和104在注模成型工艺中形成为整体塑料单元。适合使用的塑料例如包括HDPE、玻璃强化聚丙烯和聚甲醛(例如杜邦公司的“Delrin”)。可以使用任何有色塑料,这又可以允许经由附连的边板单元的颜色进行托盘的视觉识别。可以使用不同颜色以例如指示托盘的强度、承载在托盘上的商品或承载在托盘上的商品的所有者。
理想地注模成型工艺利用将强度赋予塑料的已知技术和方法。这样的技术包括使用氮作为起泡剂或使用水辅助注模成型工艺(water injectionmoulding process)。
参考图1和7,在一些实施例中边板单元的顶板(146、148)和/或底板(152)包括孔。孔的优点在于它们提供塑料的更快固化以及减小塑料的用量,并且因此减小成本,同时仍然保持所需的强度特性。
在一些实施例中顶板和/或底板的每一个包括大约16x31.75mm x22.5mm的大约24个孔,如图7中所示。
4.识别装置
在制造期间可以将识别装置模制到边板单元102和104中的一个(需要时,或两者)中以允许识别边板单元102和104所固定到的托盘。识别装置例如可以是数字、条形码、射频识别(RFID)装置或可改写的跟踪芯片。
在识别装置易碎(例如RFID装置或跟踪芯片)的情况下该装置可以设在保护壳体中并且将整个保护壳体模制到边板单元102和104中。替代地,识别装置可以在不易于被损坏的位置处模制到边板单元102和104中。将领会,与试图将这样的装置嵌入传统木制托盘中相比,将识别装置模制到塑料边板单元102和104中是比较简单的操作。
托盘的识别可以用于例如使用数据库使托盘与感兴趣的各种数据关联。需要时边板单元102和104的识别装置的使用也可以用于提供关于托盘的历史数据(即,从托盘第一次带有识别装置开始、经过修理一直到托盘的废弃)。替代地,数据库可以被维护以关联与相同托盘相关的识别(例如ID1000[废弃]=ID1200[废弃]=ID1300[有效])。
关于托盘的感兴趣的数据可以包括:
■托盘的位置(即,识别装置可以在各点被读取以保持关于托盘的位置的最新信息);
■托盘的承运者(即,运输公司);
■装载在托盘上的商品;
■托盘的使用历史;
■托盘的损坏历史(即,发生什么损坏、如何和由哪个公司);
■托盘的修理历史;和/或
■自托盘的最后修理以后的时间。
识别装置也可以配置成使数据与叉车传感器匹配以确定哪个叉车驾驶员损坏托盘。例如,存在已知的叉车监视系统,该系统感测叉车的摇晃和关于那些摇晃的驾驶员识别数据。边板单元200或102中的识别装置可以与该数据匹配以确定由驾驶员产生的损坏的程度。
由于由相对刚性塑料制造的边板单元102和104的整体构造,当边板单元102和104装配到托盘时它与托盘形成复合框架,该复合框架用于增强和稳定托盘。在边板单元102和104在新托盘的制造中被使用的情况下,由边板单元102和104赋予托盘的附加结构完整性可以允许松木板(或类似物)代替传统使用的(和更昂贵的)硬木板用于剩余的横向板。
将领会,稳定托盘有助于保持托盘形状,这又减小托盘变形和由于托盘超出所需尺寸引起的输送机停止的次数。
另外,当被叉车撞击时制造边板单元102和104所用的塑料材料比它的木制对应物更不易分裂、翘曲和变形。分裂的可能性减小是有利的,原因是它导致承载在托盘上的商品由从托盘分裂的木片和其它碎片污染的可能性减小。
通过提供复合托盘(即,在每一端具有塑料边板单元102和104的木制托盘),通过边板单元102和104的使用获得的优点(即,托盘强度增加和分裂/翘曲的可能性减小等)与传统木制托盘的优点(例如使用木材优于塑料的环保性)组合。
而且,由于复合托盘由木材和塑料构造,因此避免完全由塑料构造的托盘所经历的在输送机上滑动的问题(托盘的木制部分提供足以与输送机接合的摩擦)。
在前面的描述中已经对具有已知的等价物的元件或整数进行描述的情况下,则这样的等价物被包括在内,如同它们单独地被叙述一样。
尽管已通过例子并且参考特定实施例描述了本发明,但是应当理解在不脱离本发明的范围或精神的前提下可以进行修改和/或改进。

Claims (16)

1.一种与四向进叉托盘一起使用的边板单元,所述托盘属于包括由多个上部支撑板支撑的多个平行横向顶板的类型,所述边板单元包括:
顶部边板,所述顶部边板平行于所述横向顶板并且具有与所述横向顶板大致相同的长度;
底部边板,所述底部边板与所述顶部边板平行、间隔开并且具有与所述顶部边板大致相同的长度;
多个支撑构件,所述多个支撑构件与所述顶部边板和所述底部边板成一体地和垂直地形成并且将所述两个边板保持成它们的间隔配置,每个支撑构件包括用于安装相应的上部支撑板的突起,所述边板和所述支撑构件是结构上一体的并且由塑料材料形成。
2.根据权利要求1所述的边板单元,其中所述边板单元还包括识别装置。
3.根据权利要求2所述的边板单元,其中所述识别装置是RFID装置。
4.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的边板单元,其包括在所述边板单元中的多个孔。
5.根据权利要求4所述的边板单元,其中所述顶部边板和/或所述底部边板包括所述孔。
6.一种形成四向进叉托盘的方法,所述托盘属于包括由多个上部支撑板支撑的多个平行横向顶板的类型,所述方法包括以下步骤:
i)提供由塑料材料形成的至少一个成一体塑料模制的边板,所述塑料模制边板具有:
a)顶部边板,所述顶部边板平行于所述横向顶板并且具有与所述横向顶板大致相同的长度,
b)底部边板,所述底部边板与所述顶部边板平行、间隔开并且具有与所述顶部边板大致相同的长度,以及
c)多个支撑构件,所述多个支撑构件与所述顶部边板和所述底部边板成一体地和垂直地形成并且将所述两个边板保持成它们的间隔配置,每个支撑构件包括突起;
ii)提供具有第一端部和第二端部的多个木制上部支撑板;
iii)如果使用一个成一体塑料模制的边板,则提供至少一个支承垫块;
iv)将至少一对木制上部支撑板在它们的第一端部处附连到成一体塑料模制的边板的突起,以及
a)如果使用一个成一体塑料模制的边板,则将支承垫块附连在所述一对或多对木制上部支撑板之间,或
b)如果使用两个成一体塑料模制的边板,则将所述木制上部支撑板的第二端部附连到第二塑料模制边板的相应突起。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中所述边板单元在注模成型工艺中形成并且识别装置模制到所述边板单元中。
8.根据权利要求6或7所述的方法,其中所述塑料选自HDPE、玻璃强化聚丙烯和聚甲醛的组。
9.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的方法,其中所述边板单元在注模成型工艺中形成。
10.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其中氮在所述注模成型工艺中用作起泡剂。
11.根据权利要求9或10所述的方法,其中所述注模成型工艺是水辅助注模成型工艺。
12.一种依靠木制托盘的可回收板将木制四向进叉托盘转化成四向进叉托盘的方法,所述方法包括或包含:
在上组和下组木制支撑板的每一组之间、在相对的端部中的一个或两个处插入并固定模制塑料边板,这样的塑料边板允许叉横向于塑料边板轴线进入并且不阻止叉在塑料边板轴线的纵向上进入。
13.一种用于形成四向进叉托盘的套件,所述托盘属于包括由多个上部支撑板支撑的多个平行横向顶板的类型,所述套件包括:
由塑料材料形成的至少一个成一体塑料模制的边板,所述塑料模制边板具有:
顶部边板,所述顶部边板平行于所述横向顶板并且具有与所述横向顶板大致相同的长度,
底部边板,所述底部边板与所述顶部边板平行、间隔开并且具有与所述顶部边板大致相同的长度,以及
多个支撑构件,所述多个支撑构件与所述顶部边板和所述底部边板成一体地和垂直地形成并且将所述两个边板保持成它们的间隔配置,每个支撑构件包括突起;
一个或多个上部支撑板;以及
可选的一个或多个支承垫块。
14.一种托盘,所述托盘包括一个或多个根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的边板单元。
15.一种大致上如本文中的任何一个或多个图中所示的塑料边板单元。
16.一种大致上如本文中的任何一个或多个图中所示的四向混合托盘。
