Short Message Service (SMS) enables a user to directly transmit or receive text or numeric information through a mobile phone or other telecommunication terminal. The information carried by the short message is single in form and only can carry character or digital information. Voice-like messages are preferred for some users who prefer to "listen" to the message rather than "look" at it. Especially for the visually handicapped users or the elderly with impaired vision, it is very difficult to read the text in the short message, and the voice message is more popular. Therefore, if the received short message can be converted into a multimedia message carrying voice, the text in the short message is sent to the users in a voice form, and the communication experience of the users can be improved greatly.
At present, no technical scheme for sending characters in a short message to a user in a voice mode exists.
