Abstract

本发明提供一种安全电池,包括电池内芯、外壳、电极;所述外壳上至少具有一个条状薄弱区,该薄弱区的力学强度明显低于外壳其它部位的强度;该薄弱区的法线方向与电池的中轴线垂直,且该薄弱区处于所述外壳上远离电池中轴线的部位。该安全电池可以在内部防爆措施失效,引起电池爆炸时,有效降低电池爆炸可能给用户造成的伤害。

技术领域
本发明涉及电池领域,特别地,是涉及一种安全电池。
 
背景技术
电池是生活中的常用设备,目前,十分普及的是锂电池,而在电池的设计中,均会考虑到安全问题。特别地,对于锂电池而言,由于锂离子化学性质非常活泼,如若出现故障,极其容易爆炸。因此,对于普通的锂电池,其内部均会设计过电流保护措施,以防止电池内部温度过高。
然而,电池爆炸的原因是多方面的,即便采取了相关技术措施,也可能会遭遇技术故障等原因,仍然不能将电池爆炸的概率降低为零。但是,目前就电池爆炸后的安全技术措施,却还是一个空白。
 
发明内容
针对上述问题,本发明的目的在于提供一种安全电池,该安全电池可以在内部防爆措施失效,引起电池爆炸时,有效降低电池爆炸可能给用户造成的伤害。
本发明解决技术问题所采用的技术方案是:该安全电池包括电池内芯、外壳、电极;所述外壳上至少具有一个条状薄弱区,该薄弱区的力学强度明显低于外壳其它部位的强度;该薄弱区的法线方向与电池的中轴线垂直,且该薄弱区处于所述外壳上远离电池中轴线的部位。
作为优选,所述外壳呈带有凸檐的圆柱状,所述薄弱区设于所述凸檐上。
在所述外壳呈扁矩形状时,作为优选,所述薄弱区在所述外壳上关于所述中轴线相隔180°的位置各设一条,从而使电池无论哪一面放置于平面上,均可以发挥安全防护性能。
作为优选,所述薄弱区与所述外壳的其它区域一体成型,该薄弱区通过在外壳上以冲压方式压薄壁厚制作而成。
本发明的有益效果在于:该安全电池在使用时,如电池发生过电流现象,而内部保护措施失效时,电池发生爆炸,并首先以所述薄弱区为突破口,电池内部爆炸气体从薄弱区冲出外壳;而由于所述薄弱区的法线垂直于电池中轴线,且该薄弱区处于外壳上远离电池中轴线的部位,因此将给电池一个关于中轴线的瞬时转矩,该转矩迫使电池高速旋转,从而将爆炸能量大部分转化为电池的旋转动能,从而避免了电池高速直飞而可能造成的人身伤害。

具体实施方式
下面结合附图和实施例对本发明进一步说明:
图1、图2所示的实施例一中,该安全电池为扁矩形电池,包括电池内芯、外壳1、电极2;所述外壳1上具有条状薄弱区10,该薄弱区10的力学强度明显低于外壳1其它部位的强度,该薄弱区10与外壳1的其它区域一体成型,该薄弱区10可以通过在外壳1上以冲压方式压薄壁厚而形成;该薄弱区10的法线方向(亦即该薄弱区的正面方向)与电池的中轴线(图1中虚线所示)垂直,且该薄弱区10处于外壳1上远离电池中轴线的部位,也就是说,该薄弱区10接近外壳1的边缘;如图2所示,所述薄弱区10在所述外壳1上关于所述中轴线相隔180°的位置各设一条,从而使电池无论哪一面放置于平面上,均可以发挥安全防护性能。
实施例一在使用时,如电池发生过电流现象,而内部保护措施失效时,电池发生爆炸,并首先以所述薄弱区10为突破口,电池内部爆炸气体从薄弱区10冲出外壳,如图2中虚线箭头所示;而由于所述薄弱区10的法线垂直于电池中轴线,且该薄弱区10处于外壳1上远离电池中轴线的部位,因此将给电池一个关于中轴线的瞬时转矩,如图2中旋转箭头所示,该转矩迫使电池高速旋转,从而将爆炸能量大部分转化为电池的旋转动能,从而避免了电池高速直飞而可能造成的人身伤害。
图3所示为本发明的实施例二,其中,所述外壳1呈带有凸檐11的圆柱状,电池的端部具有电极2,所述薄弱区10设于所述凸檐11上。对于实施例二,可以作为普通的圆柱形电池使用,由于周身呈圆柱状,因此,无论电池以何种状态放置,均方便于绕自身轴线高速旋转。
以上所述仅为本发明的较佳方式,并不用以限制本发明,凡在本发明的精神和原则之内,所作的任何修改、等同替换、改进等,均应包含在本发明的保护范围之内。

Claims (4)

1.一种安全电池,包括电池内芯、外壳(1)、电极(2);其特征在于:所述外壳(1)上至少具有一个条状薄弱区(10),该薄弱区(10)的力学强度明显低于外壳其它部位的强度;该薄弱区(10)的法线方向与电池的中轴线垂直,且该薄弱区(10)处于所述外壳(1)上远离电池中轴线的部位。
2.根据权利要求1所述的安全电池,其特征在于:所述外壳(1)呈带有凸檐的圆柱状,所述薄弱区(10)设于所述凸檐(11)上。
3.根据权利要求1所述的安全电池,其特征在于:所述薄弱区(10)在所述外壳(1)上关于所述中轴线相隔180°的位置各设一条。
4.根据权利要求1-3中任意一条所述的安全电池,其特征在于:所述薄弱区(10)与所述外壳(1)的其它区域一体成型,该薄弱区(10)通过在外壳上以冲压方式压薄壁厚而形成。
