Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a connecting fitting for detachably fixing a plate-shaped furniture part, in particular a front panel, to a side wall rim of a further plate-shaped furniture part, in particular a drawer, which is oriented at an angle thereto, preferably perpendicularly, as described in the preamble of claim 1.
Background
Such a connection fitting is disclosed in EP0066893B 1. The connection fitting shown is distinguished by the fact that it is compact and by means of which a firm connection between two panel-shaped furniture parts to be connected to one another can be achieved, which connection can be released again simply by means of a release rod which engages in the connection fitting. It is advantageous to have the possibility of automatically establishing the connection by axially pushing the corresponding support unit.
In contrast, in the prior art, the spring characteristic of the installed system is less advantageous, since the pushing against the connection region is received relatively inelastically, which can lead to damage to the interconnected furniture parts in extreme cases.
EP0740917B1 also discloses a connection fitting which likewise uses a connection fitting of the type described in EP0066893B1 with an "automatic locking device", but which is not detached using an integrated detachment lever, but rather using a receptacle in the locking lever (which is reset by means of a separate tool, such as a screwdriver). In this case, the screwdriver is axially introduced into the receiving device during the removal, so that the locking mechanism is moved out of the locking lever and can only then be moved past the end of the removal movement by applying a transverse force. This is particularly disadvantageous in that a tool is always required for detaching the front panel.
Disclosure of Invention
Starting from the prior art EP0066893B1, the object of the invention is to further improve the connection fitting.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claims 1 and 11.
According to the statement of claim 1, the mounting base section is mounted or designed on the rim adapter of the side rim, and the manually operable release lever is hinged on the locking lever and the base section and extends into the free space in the rim adapter, so that the manually operable release lever can be operated by the hand of the user in the free space.
The features of claim 1 make it possible to dispense with tools, such as screwdrivers, particularly advantageously for the purpose of releasing the locking lever, so that the release lever is integrated into the frame design in a particularly space-saving manner.
This makes it possible to operate the release lever on both sides of the drawer (i.e. on both side frames) at the same time, so that the front panel can be released reliably and without damage by a user. The invention accordingly also relates to a drawer having two side frames, a front panel and two connecting fittings according to the invention.
Here, further functions are advantageously integrated into the release lever according to the variants of the dependent claims, which further improve the operating and safety characteristics of the connection fitting.
For example, according to claim 2, a first crescent plate is provided in the mounting base section, which first crescent plate overlaps a second crescent plate in the locking lever, wherein a pin which can be moved in the two crescent plates passes through the two crescent plates. This feature achieves an advantageous fit between the component locking lever and the mounting substrate segment in a particularly simple manner.
According to claim 3, the first crescent plate is an arc-shaped crescent plate in the mounting base section and the second crescent plate is an angled crescent plate in the locking lever, wherein the bridging-capable end point for the pin is formed by the angled crescent plate. In this way, the mechanism required for the locking function of the locking lever can be switched in practice in a particularly simple and reliable manner.
Advantageously, a pin, preferably arranged in an opening, is provided on the release lever, which enables a simple design means for placing the release lever in cooperation with the locking lever and the crescent on the mounting base segment.
It is also advantageous to design the head on the pin such that the locking lever is guided on the mounting base section in the crescent of the mounting base section when the locking lever is moved between the open position and the locking position.
By the features of claim 11, which are an independent invention, and which are improved on in claims 1 to 10, the risk of damage to the front panel is reduced in a simple manner and damage to the drawer mechanism by striking against the front panel is reduced, since the locking lever of the drawer mechanism can move elastically in the region of its turntable bearing.
Furthermore, the elastic connection fitting also makes it possible for the front panel (as long as it is correspondingly pivotable) to be adjusted in its angle to the other plate-like furniture part without the connection having to be released during the adjustment, since the pivot bearing can compensate or take up the corresponding movement of the front panel. This is not possible when the slewing bearing is designed as a "play-free" fixed bearing, which is considered by the person skilled in the art in a practical sense.
Advantageous designs of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.

Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1, each connection fitting 1 has two corresponding functional units that can be engaged with one another: a support device 2 and a locking device 3 which can be detachably engaged with the support device 2.
The support device 2 is fastened to a first furniture part in the form of a plate, which is preferably designed as a front panel 4 of a drawer 5, see fig. 3 to 5. The drawer 5 can be inserted into a furniture carcass 6 of a piece of furniture 7, wherein the drawer can be guided in the furniture carcass in a pushing manner so that it is pulled out of the furniture carcass 6 into an open position and pushed out of the open position into a closed position again (see fig. 3 and 4).
In contrast, the locking device 3 (see fig. 2 and 6 and 7 and 8) is designed to be fastened to a second furniture part in the form of a plate, which is preferably designed as a side frame 8 of the drawer 5. The plate-like shape of the side frame is realized here by a metallic double-walled cover 9 which is formed by one or more frame adapters 10 and can be locked to the one or more frame adapters 10 in a known manner, for example by means of mounting mechanisms such as bolts or snap-on mechanisms or the like. The rim adapter 10 is also used for receiving a drawer bottom 11 (fig. 6) on a mounting contour 12 (fig. 2) and for placing on a rail structure, not shown here, by means of which the drawer is pushably guided on the furniture body.
Each drawer preferably has two side frames 8 and two connecting fittings 1, so that the front panel 4 can be connected in two regions by one respective support device 2 to the corresponding locking device 3 on the respective two side frames 8 or connected together in the installed state.
The construction of the support device 2 is as arbitrary as possible within the scope of the invention. But it must be able to be fastened at least to a first plate-shaped furniture part, such as the front panel 4, and have a support element, such as a suitable receptacle or a pin 13, which extends horizontally in the built-up state.
The locking device 3 has a base unit (see also fig. 2), preferably a base corner piece 14, which is fixed by means of leg pieces (sections 15a, b) to the upper mounting surface 16 of the lower border adapter 10 in the erected state, for example by welding. The fastening can also be achieved by means of other connecting means, such as screws, and the base unit can also be integrated into the frame adapter 10 (not shown here).
It is to be noted here that the features "upper" and "lower" are not to be understood as a limitation. These features should be understood as typical furniture installation and construction, as shown in fig. 2.
The leg (fig. 2) is here divided into two leg segments 15a, b, between which a free space is present for the purpose of achieving a profile of further functional elements, not illustrated further here, projecting upwards from the mounting surface 16.
The mounting surface 16 has an opening 17 in a front portion (i.e. in the direction of the support device 2), through which opening the functional elements of the locking device 3, which will be explained below, protrude into the bezel adapter 10.
The bezel adapter 10 has a substantially U-shaped cross section in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the front panel. The edge frame adapter 10 is preferably produced by bending sheet metal, wherein the mounting surface 16 is formed by the shorter legs of the U. Furthermore, the mounting contour 12 projects from the edge adapter 10 toward the drawer bottom 11. A free space 20 is provided between the two longer legs 18, 19 of the rim adapter. The free space 20 is dimensioned such that a user can insert his fingers into it from below.
The leg segments 15a, b have a mounting base segment 21 extending perpendicular to the mounting surface 16. A locking lever 22 is movably hinged on the mounting base section 21, which can be moved from a release position into a locking position.
The locking lever 22 is preferably always located inside the rim so that no part of the locking means 3 extends to the front panel 4.
The locking lever 22 has a hook section 23 which is used to engage the corresponding pillar, preferably the pin 13, from behind (hingrelifen) onto the support 2. The locking lever 22 is designed as a single-sided bearing lever. The turntable bearing 24 of the locking lever is located on the side of the locking lever facing away from the front panel 4. The locking lever 22 is preferably penetrated in this region at the opening 45 by a pin 25, which preferably penetrates through a long-hole-like opening 26 in the mounting base section 21.
The opening 26 has a dimension which is in any case significantly larger than the diameter of the pin 25 in the X direction, so that the pin 25 passes through the opening 26 with clearance.
Mounting contours 27, 49, such as hooks, on which the mounting springs (here, coil springs 28) are mounted with their ends capable of forming mounting arcs, are formed on the mounting base segments 21 and on the locking levers 22. The coil spring 28 is arranged almost horizontally. One end of the helical spring is preferably fixed in the installed state above the opening 26 in the recess 46 of the installation base section 21 and the other end of the helical spring is preferably situated approximately between the pin 25 and the hook section 23.
The helical spring 28 thus pulls the locking lever 22 into an upper locking position in which one plate-like member is fixed to the other plate-like member, in this case the front panel 4, on one side frame 8, when the hook-like segments place the stay on the support or support means 2.
By supporting the pin 25 with play in the opening 26 on the rear abutment (laibang) of the preferably long-hole-shaped opening 26, the end of the locking lever 22 is pushed somewhat by the pin in the opening 26, in particular in a direction parallel to the side frame 8 or perpendicular to the front panel 4.
This is particularly advantageous because it is avoided by the measures described that a rigid impact of the front panel is directed directly onto the side frame 8 with full momentum. But rather reduces the kinetic energy of the impact impulse through the bearing clearance in cooperation with the spring 28. The connection fitting 1 according to the invention therefore significantly reduces the risk of damage to the side frame structure and the possibility of securing the front panel 4 to the pin segments 42, 43 of the support device 2 of the connection fitting 1 in a simple manner.
Advantageously, the play in the slewing bearing 24 lies in the range of 0.3 to 3mm, particularly preferably 0.5 to 2mm, in at least one direction, preferably in the mounting direction or here in the "X direction" (fig. 1). The gap may be formed on the opening 26 and/or in the area of the connection between the pin 25 and the locking lever 22.
As shown in fig. 1, in order to release the locking lever 22 from the connected position, a release lever 29 integrated into the locking device 3 is used.
The release lever 29 preferably has an L-shape in side view. The release lever has a lever arm 30 and a release arm 31, which is oriented at an angle, here almost at right angles, to the lever arm 30. The release arm 31 is also designed in stages in a view perpendicular to the side view (see also fig. 2 for this purpose). Between the lever arm 30 and the release arm 31, a control surface 51 is provided at the angle enclosed by the lever arm and the release lever, which control surface is arranged almost vertically in the open position of the locking device 3.
The lever arm 30 is here advantageously hinged at its ends to the mounting base section 21 and preferably in the direction of the front panel 4 or the support means 2 close to the hook section 23 by means of a pin 32, which pin 32 passes through openings 34 and 36 in the mounting base section 21 or the release lever 29. In the mounting base section 21, an arc-shaped crescent 44 is provided, which is arranged one above the other in the locking lever 22 with an angular crescent 50: the pin 33 passes through the two crescent-shaped plates 44, 50 and moves in the two crescent-shaped plates at a distance about its point of rotation (which here is advantageously located in the optionally provided region of the material folding (materialstabilizing) of the structurally stable element 21), wherein the point of rotation is formed by the bearing in the openings 34, 36, wherein a bridgeable stop is formed by the angled crescent-shaped plate 50 and the pin 33 is arranged in the opening 35 on the release lever 29. Furthermore, a head 38 is formed on the pin 33, so that the locking lever 22 reliably introduces its crescent 44 on the mounting base segment 21, provided that the locking lever 22 moves between the open position and the locking position.
The release arm 31 projects downward through the opening 17 into the free space and can be actuated there by a finger.
When the support device 2 is locked, i.e., when it is introduced, the release lever 29 on the control surface 51 is actuated by the pin 13 and thus the pin 33 is moved past the end position of the crescent 50. This causes the locking lever 22 to be released and to swing upwards by the force of the helical spring 28, wherein the pin 13 engages from below.
Fig. 7 also shows that the bezel cover 9 may have side openings 48 to enable access to the panel adjustment means on the support means 2 at the sides.
If the release arm 31 is pulled in the direction of the support device 2 or the front panel 4, the locking lever 22 is pulled against the force of the spring 28 from the locking position or its upper position into the open position or its lower position.
The locking and blocking lever 22 is preferably pivoted on the release lever 29 by means of the pin 33 in such a way that a dead point in the crescent 50 can be passed over, so that the locking lever 22 can be held in this position in the open state after a corresponding movement, which in particular facilitates the first installation, so that the support device 2 can be brought into the installation position in the locking device first with the front panel 4. With a sufficiently large force acting on the front panel 4 counter to the X direction, the support device 2 moves the release lever 29 on the control surface 51 by means of the pin 13 and thus moves the pin 33 past the dead center position of the crescent 50, so that the locking lever 22 is pulled by the spring 28 into its locking position in which the hook segment 23 engages the support (here the pin 13) behind on the support device 2.
On the free lower end of the release lever 29, i.e. on the release arm 31, here on its bend, a resilient, self-restoring plastic shoe 39 can be mounted, which makes the mounting of the release lever 29 easier. Preferably, the plastic boot 39 also performs an additional function.
On the plastic shoe, a sliding surface 52 is provided in the corner region between the engagement surface 53 and the protective surface 40, which sliding surface first strikes the corner region 41 of the locking lever 22 when the release arm 31 is pulled and then slides past this corner 41, provided that a clearly perceptible, sufficiently high operating force is applied, i.e. the plastic shoe 39 is pivoted against its spring force.
Since a pivoting movement of the plastic shoe 39 is required in order to pass the corner region 41, an additional protection against the locking lever 22 being released from its locking position unintentionally, for example by a mere impact load on the front panel 4, is achieved without the user actuating the release lever 29, wherein the plastic shoe 39 in this case strikes with its protective surface 40 against the lower edge of the locking lever 22, i.e. without pivoting the release lever 29 to the coupled locking lever releases the pin 13 of the support device 2 with its hook segment 23.
Fig. 10 to 15 or fig. 1 (which shows a side view of the connection fitting from fig. 1 with (fig. 10, 1) or without (fig. 11 to 15) a bezel adapter) show this relationship particularly clearly, wherein the movement path during the mounting of the support 2 on the locking element 3 in the X direction (see fig. 1) and in particular the locking of the plastic shoe 39 on the corner 41 explained above are also shown at successive instants in time (fig. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 1 or 15).
Finally, it should be noted that the support 2 can be fixed (clamped and/or glued) in one or more stud-like pin sections 42, 43 to the opening of the front panel 4. Alternatively, it is also conceivable that the support 2 is fixed to the front panel 4 in another way, for example by means of bolts (not shown here). This connection is significantly simpler by the device according to the invention described above and thus increases the service life of the piece of furniture.
