Abstract

本发明的目的在于提供能够以多层连接器壳体彼此正确卡合的状态,使其与对方侧的连接器可靠地嵌合的电连接器。在本发明中,在构成阳连接器(200)的多个插头壳体(21)和锁定壳体(22)未正确组装的情况下,锁定臂部(28)的前端部(28c)以向外侧突出的方式变形。由此,锁定臂部(28)干涉阴连接器(100)的壳体(10)而不能使其嵌合。

Description

电连接器
技术领域
本发明涉及层叠多个连接器壳体而构成的电连接器。
背景技术
近年来,在汽车等领域中使用的电连接器(以下,简称连接器)趋于多极化。
在这样的连接器中,提出将连接器壳体重叠成多层并组合而构成的连接器,该连接器壳体在一个方向上排列地收纳有多只端子(例如,参照专利文献1、2)。
重叠成多层的连接器壳体的每一个在其侧面具备突起和卡合于该突起的卡合片。而且,互相位于上下的连接器壳体彼此通过在一方连接器壳体的突起卡合另一方连接器壳体的卡合片而连结。
另外,如图8所示,也存在着通过具有臂2的锁定壳体(lock housing)3将多层连接器壳体1连结成整体的结构的连接器5。
该臂2沿着多层连接器壳体1的侧面延伸,并在对应于各层连接器壳体1的位置形成有卡合于在各连接器壳体1形成的未图示的突起、凹部的卡合部。而且,通过使各层连接器壳体1的突起、凹部卡合于臂2的各卡合部,将多层连接器壳体1连结成整体。

发明内容
然而,在如上所述的结构中,存在着即使各层连接器壳体彼此没有完全卡合,也难以对此进行检测,并且保持不完全的卡合状态而使具备这些多层连接器壳体的连接器嵌合于对方侧的连接器的情况。于是,存在着连接器壳体、接触件变形,或保持于双方的连接器的接触件彼此没有正确地嵌合,双方的接触件彼此没有电连接的可能性。
本发明是基于这样的技术课题而做出的,其目的在于,提供能够以多层连接器壳体彼此正确卡合的状态,使其与对方侧的连接器可靠地嵌合的电连接器。
基于上述目的而做出的本发明的电连接器的特征在于,具备:层叠成多层的接触件壳体,该接触件壳体分别收纳一个以上的接触件;以及锁定壳体,在层叠状态下卡止多层接触件壳体。锁定壳体具备:基部,层叠于层叠成多层的接触件壳体中的一端侧的接触件壳体;以及锁定臂部,从基部沿着层叠成多层的接触件壳体的侧面向着另一端侧的接触件壳体延伸,并至少能卡合于另一端侧的接触件壳体。而且,锁定臂部具有相对于接触件壳体卡合的卡合部,在卡合部处于未卡合于该接触件壳体的状态时,通过卡合部与接触件壳体干涉,锁定臂部在从接触件壳体的侧面离开的方向上变形。
这样,在接触件壳体未以正确的状态组装,形成于锁定臂部的卡合部处于未卡合于接触件壳体的状态时,通过卡合部与接触件壳体干涉,锁定臂部在从接触件壳体的侧面离开的方向上变形。在该状态下,如果想要将连接器插入至形成于对方侧电连接器的筒状的罩(hood)部,则变形的锁定臂部将干涉罩部。由此,组装操作者能够检测到电连接器没有正确地组装。
另外,在卡合部处于卡合于接触件壳体的状态时,关于锁定臂部,优选至少其一部分插入至罩部的内侧。
由此,在使电连接器与对方侧连接器嵌合的状态下,锁定臂部夹在接触件壳体和罩部之间而受限制,从而能够防止锁定臂部在从接触件壳体的侧面离开的方向上变形而从接触件壳体脱离。
当锁定臂部变形、在该锁定臂部中与对方侧电连接器对置的一侧的端部干涉罩部时,优选接触件和对方侧电连接器的对方侧接触件处于未嵌合状态。由此,在接触件壳体未以正确的状态组装时,能够防止接触件、对方侧接触件变形。
依据本发明,在接触件壳体未正确组装时,锁定臂部在从接触件壳体的侧面离开的方向上变形,该变形将干涉对方侧电连接器的罩部。因此,能够防止保持电连接器没有正确组装的状态而强行嵌合电连接器和对方侧电连接器。即,能够以多层连接器壳体彼此正确卡合的状态,使其与对方侧的连接器可靠地嵌合。另外,由此,能够防止壳体、接触件变形或破损。
另外,因为组装操作者能够检测接触件壳体未正确组装,所以能够将此作为次品区分,从而能够提高产品质量。

具体实施方式
以下,基于附图所示的实施方式详细说明本发明。
如图1、图2所示,互相嵌合的阴连接器(对方侧电连接器)100、阳连接器(电连接器)200分别具有收纳多个阳接触件13、阴接触件24的壳体10、20。
阴连接器100的壳体10由树脂等绝缘性材料构成,并设有保持未图示的多个阳接触件13的端子保持部11。
在壳体10中,形成有从端子保持部11延伸至嵌合于阴连接器100的一侧的筒状的罩部12。在罩部12的内侧,从端子保持部11向嵌合于阴连接器100的一侧突出地设有保持于端子保持部11的阳接触件13。另外,从壳体10的相反面10b突出的阳接触件13的前端部13a与未图示的电路基板的布线图案电连接。
另外,在罩部12中,形成有用于引导后述的阳连接器200的壳体20的引导槽15、16(参照图5(b))。
阳连接器200的壳体20由树脂等绝缘性材料构成。
壳体20具有层叠成多层(在本实施方式中是2层)的插头壳体(接触件壳体)21、21、以及整体卡合这些插头壳体21、21的锁定壳体22。此外,在以下的说明中,存在着将插头壳体21的层叠方向称为上下方向,并且将锁定壳体22侧称为上方,将其相反侧称为下方的情况。
各插头壳体21沿着一个方向并列设有多个接触件收纳孔23。各接触件收纳孔23在连结与阳连接器200对置的对置面21a和其相反面21b的方向上贯通,并插入由导电性材料构成的阴接触件24。而且,各插头壳体21从相反面21b侧引出与阴接触件24连接的布线(未图示)。
如图1、图3所示,在各插头壳体21中,在其侧面,在下表面21c侧形成有凹部25,在上表面21d侧形成有凸部26。而且,在层叠多个插头壳体21时,通过在互相位于上下的一方(上方)插头壳体21的凹部25挤进另一方(下方)插头壳体21的凸部26,防止这些在连结对置面21a和相反面21b的方向上(以下,存在着将该方向称为前后方向的情况)偏离。
如图1所示,锁定壳体22具有覆盖层叠的多个插头壳体21的上方的盖板部(基部)27、以及沿着层叠的多个插头壳体21的两侧面的锁定臂部28。
在盖板部27的表面,在其宽度方向(在盖板部27的表面中相对于前后方向正交的方向)两侧和中间部,分别形成有在前后方向上连续的突条29、30。这些突条29、30通过插入至所述引导槽15、16内,引导相对于阴连接器100的阳连接器200的插入方向。
在突条29、29的后端部,形成有在与盖板部27的表面正交的方向上立起的壁部31。
另外,在突条30的后端部,形成有与盖板部27大致平行地延伸的弹性卡止片32。在该弹性卡止片32中,在其上表面形成有卡止爪32a。该卡止爪32a通过卡合于在引导槽16的内周面形成的卡合凹部(未图示),从而限制壳体20从嵌合于阴连接器100的壳体10的状态脱出。
在盖板部27的两侧,以沿着层叠的多个插头壳体21的两侧面的方式,从盖板部27向下方延伸而形成锁定臂部28。
在此,如图5(b)所示,在锁定臂部28中,在与层叠的多个插头壳体21对置的一侧,形成有卡合于在各插头壳体21的后端部形成的突起21s的卡合凸部(卡合部)28a。
该锁定臂部28以盖板部27侧的基端部28b为中心,前端部28c能在离开与层叠的插头壳体21的侧面正交的方向的方向上弹性变形。
如图4所示,这样的锁定臂部28在卡合凸部28a卡合于各插头壳体21的突起21s的状态下,其前部28F插入至阴连接器100的壳体10的罩部12内。由此,锁定臂部28被夹在各插头壳体21的侧面和罩部12的内周面之间,向与插头壳体21的侧面正交的方向的变形受限制。在锁定臂部28的前部28F插入至罩部12内的状态下,能够防止锁定臂部28不慎脱落。
在此,如图5(a)、(b)所示,在对于层叠的多个插头壳体21的两侧面、突起21s和卡合凸部28a没有正确地卡合的情况下,这样的锁定臂部28通过这些互相干涉,从而前端部28c向外侧变形并突出。
如图6(a)、(b)所示,如果想要保持该状态而使阳连接器200的壳体20嵌合于阴连接器100的壳体10,则突出的锁定臂部28的前端部28c干涉阴连接器100的壳体10的前端面10a,从而不能进一步插入。
由此,在多个插头壳体21和锁定壳体22未正确组装的情况下,不能使阳连接器200强行地嵌合于阴连接器100,能够仅使正确组装的阳连接器200嵌合于阴连接器100。由此,能够防止强行嵌合所导致的壳体10、20、阳接触件13、阴接触件24的变形。
此外,在锁定臂部28的前端部28c碰上阴连接器100的壳体10的前端面10a的状态下,如图7所示,优选设定为保持于壳体10的阳接触件13和保持于壳体20的阴接触件24互相不接触那样的位置。
由此,如上所述,在锁定臂部28向外侧变形并突出的情况下,由于阳接触件13和阴接触件24互相不接触,所以能够防止阳接触件13、阴接触件24接触。
如上所述,在构成阳连接器200的多个插头壳体21和锁定壳体22未正确组装的情况下,锁定臂部28的前端部28c以向外侧突出的方式变形。由此,锁定臂部28干涉阴连接器100的壳体10而不能使其嵌合。因此,在插头壳体21和锁定壳体22未正确组装的情况下,能够提前对此进行检测。
而且,仅在构成阳连接器200的多个插头壳体21和锁定壳体22正确组装的情况下,由于能够嵌合阴连接器100和阳连接器200,所以能使具有多层插头壳体21的阴连接器100可靠地嵌合于阳连接器200。
此外,在上述实施方式中,虽然对阴连接器100、阳连接器200的结构进行了说明,但那些只不过是例示而已,只要在本发明的主旨的范围内,将这些设定为任何结构都可以。
例如,虽然将锁定臂部28设置于两侧,但也可以仅将其设置于任一侧。
而且,锁定臂部28虽然设定为卡合于各层插头壳体21的结构,但不限于此,也可以设定为仅卡合于最下层的插头壳体21的结构。
另外,虽然示出了将插头壳体21层叠成2层的示例,但当然也可以层叠3层以上。
除此以外,只要不脱离本发明的主旨,也可以取舍选择上述实施方式中列举的结构或将其适当变更为其他结构。

Claims (4)

1. 一种电连接器,其特征在于,具备:
层叠成多层的接触件壳体,该接触件壳体分别收纳一个以上的接触件;以及
锁定壳体,在层叠状态下卡止多层所述接触件壳体,
其中,所述锁定壳体具备:基部,层叠于层叠成多层的所述接触件壳体中的一端侧的所述接触件壳体;以及锁定臂部,从所述基部、沿着层叠成多层的所述接触件壳体的侧面向着另一端侧的所述接触件壳体延伸,并至少能卡合于另一端侧的所述接触件壳体,
所述锁定臂部具有对所述接触件壳体进行卡合的卡合部,在所述卡合部处于未卡合于该接触件壳体的状态时,通过所述卡合部与所述接触件壳体干涉,所述锁定臂部在从所述接触件壳体的侧面离开的方向上变形。
2. 如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,在所述锁定臂部在从所述接触件壳体的侧面离开的方向上变形时,如果将所述连接器插入至在对方侧电连接器形成的筒状的罩部,则变形的所述锁定臂部干涉所述罩部。
3. 如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于,所述锁定臂部在所述卡合部处于卡合于所述接触件壳体的状态时,至少所述锁定臂部的一部分插入至所述罩部的内侧。
4. 如权利要求2或3所述的电连接器,其特征在于,在所述锁定臂部变形,所述锁定臂部中与所述对方侧电连接器对置的一侧的端部干涉所述罩部时,所述接触件和所述对方侧电连接器的对方侧接触件处于未嵌合状态。
