技术领域
本发明是有关于一种彩色电子纸结构,特别是关于一种可避免色度褪变(color fading)的彩色电子纸结构。
背景技术
随着电泳显示技术的进步,可显示彩色画面的电子纸装置已开始出现在市场上。
请参照图1,其绘示一已知彩色电子纸装置的一局部剖面图。如图1所示,该彩色电子纸装置由下至上包含一前面板110、一彩色光阻层120、一透明粘胶层130、以及一外板140。
其中,前面板110包含有一电泳显示层及一像素电极层以控制该彩色电子纸装置各像素的亮度。
彩色光阻层120是位于前面板110上方,且其具有R、G、B三种色料,以过滤前面板110所发出的光线,从而分别透出红、绿、蓝的色光。
透明粘胶层130是覆盖于彩色光阻层120上方,用以与彩色光阻层120粘合。
外板140是位于透明粘胶层130上方而与透明粘胶层130粘合。
然而,该彩色电子纸装置在组装完成后却易发生色度褪变,而严重影响到彩色电子纸的显示品质。设法使彩色光阻层的R、G、B色料具有高稳定度-不易发生化学反应-或许是一种避免色度褪变的解决方法,然而要获致高稳定度的色料,付出的成本-包括时间和金钱-可能会很高,不利于产品的竞争力。
为解决前述已知彩色电子纸装置的问题,有必要对彩色电子纸装置的结构做彻底的分析,以提出可避免色度发生褪变的有效对策,从而提升彩色电子纸装置的显示品质。
发明内容
本发明的一目的在于揭露一种彩色电子纸结构,其可有效防止色度褪变,从而提升彩色电子纸装置的显示品质。
本发明的另一目的在于揭露一种彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其可有效防止色度褪变,从而提升彩色电子纸装置的显示品质。
为达到上述的目的,本发明提供一种彩色电子纸结构,其具有一前面板、一彩色光阻层、一护色层、一透明粘胶层、以及一外板。
该前面板包含有一电泳显示层及一像素电极层以控制该彩色电子纸装置各像素的亮度。
该彩色光阻层是位于该前面板的上方,且其具有R、G、B三种色料,以过滤该前面板所发出的光线,从而分别透出红、绿、蓝的色光。
该护色层是覆盖于该彩色光阻层上方的一热塑性透明材料层。
该透明粘胶层是覆盖于该护色层上方,用以与该护色层粘合。
该外板是位于该透明粘胶层上方而与该透明粘胶层粘合。
为达到上述的目的,本发明提供一种制造彩色电子纸结构的方法,其具有以下步骤:
步骤a.在一前面板上方沉积一彩色光阻层。
步骤b.将一护色层的下表面贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面,其中该护色层是一热塑性透明材料层。
步骤c.将一透明粘胶层的下表面贴附在该护色层的上表面。
步骤d.使该透明粘胶层的上表面与一外板贴合。
为达到上述的目的,另一种制造金属氧化物半导体结构的方法乃被提出,其具有以下步骤:
步骤a.在一前面板上方沉积一彩色光阻层。
步骤b.将一护色层的下表面贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面,其中该护色层是一热塑性透明材料层。
步骤c.将一透明粘胶层的上表面贴附在一外板的下表面。
步骤d.将该透明粘胶层的下表面与该护色层的上表面贴合。

具体实施方式
经检视发生色度褪变的图1彩色电子纸装置的结构,本案发明人发现彩色光阻层乃因被透明粘胶层侵蚀-在温度升高时其侵蚀现象更严重-而发生色度褪变。
因此,本发明乃在彩色光阻层与透明粘胶层之间增设一护色层(colorresist protection layer)以防止透明粘胶层对彩色光阻层的侵蚀,从而解决色度褪变的问题。本发明的设计可广泛应用于软性或硬性的彩色电子纸显示器。
请参照图2,其绘示本发明彩色电子纸结构一较佳实施例的剖面图。如图2所示,该彩色电子纸结构由下至上包含一前面板210、一彩色光阻层220、一护色层230、一透明粘胶层231、以及一外板240。
其中,前面板210包含有一电泳显示层及一像素电极层以控制该彩色电子纸装置各像素的亮度。
彩色光阻层220是位于前面板210的上方,且其具有R、G、B三种色料,以过滤前面板210所发出的光线,从而分别透出红、绿、蓝的色光。
护色层230是覆盖于彩色光阻层220上方的一热塑性透明材料层,其材料可为压克力树脂、硅树脂、或热塑性树脂,而其厚度较佳为1-30μm。由于热塑性透明材料的熔点较高,故护色层230可有效防止彩色光阻层220被透明粘胶层231侵蚀而影响色度。
透明粘胶层231是覆盖于护色层230上方,用以与护色层230粘合。
外板240是位于透明粘胶层231上方而与透明粘胶层231粘合。
另外,前面板210可贴附于一TFT阵列背板,其中所述的TFT阵列背板是用以驱动前面板210的所述像素电极层。
依前述的说明,本发明进一步提出一种制造彩色电子纸结构的方法,其具有以下步骤:在一前面板上方沉积一彩色光阻层(步骤a);将一护色层的下表面贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面,其中该护色层是一热塑性透明材料层(步骤b);将一透明粘胶层的下表面贴附在该护色层的上表面(步骤c);以及使该透明粘胶层的上表面与一外板贴合(步骤d)。
在步骤a,该彩色光阻层具有R、G、B三种色料。
在步骤b,较佳为由一热压程序使该护色层的下表面贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面,该热压程序包括利用一热滚轮滚压及经由一脱泡机脱泡(其较佳为在40-70℃,大于1大气压的工作条件下脱泡)。该护色层的材料可为压克力树脂、硅树脂、或热塑性树脂,而其厚度较佳为1-30μm。

综上所述,本发明的彩色电子纸结构可为其彩色光阻层提供一热塑性材料保护层-其是采用常见的材料且其所涉制程是一般制程-以防止彩色光阻层被透明粘胶层侵蚀而发生色度褪变,故本发明确已改进已知彩色电子纸装置的缺点。
本案所揭示的,乃较佳实施例,凡是局部的变更或修饰而源于本案的技术思想而为熟习该项技术的人所易于推知的,俱不脱本案的权利要求范畴。
Claims (14)
1.一种彩色电子纸结构,其具有:
一前面板;
一彩色光阻层,位于该前面板上方;
一护色层,覆盖于该彩色光阻层上方的一热塑性透明材料层;
一透明粘胶层,覆盖于该护色层的上方;以及
一外板,位于该透明粘胶层的上方。
2.如权利要求1所述的彩色电子纸结构,其中该前面板包含有一电泳显示层及一像素电极层。
3.如权利要求2所述的彩色电子纸结构,其中该彩色光阻层具有R、G、B三种色料,以过滤该前面板所发出的光线,从而分别透出红、绿、蓝的色光。
4.如权利要求3所述的彩色电子纸结构,其中该护色层的材料是压克力树脂、硅树脂或热塑性树脂。
5.如权利要求4所述的彩色电子纸结构,其中该护色层的厚度介于1-30μm之间。
6.如权利要求5所述的彩色电子纸结构,其中还包括一TFT阵列背板,贴附于该前面板的下方。
7.一种彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其具有以下步骤:
在一前面板上方沉积一彩色光阻层;
将一护色层的下表面贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面,其中该护色层是一热塑性透明材料层;
将一透明粘胶层下表面贴附在该护色层的上表面;以及
使该透明粘胶层的上表面与一外板贴合。
8.如权利要求7所述的彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其中所述护色层的下表面是由一热压程序贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面。
9.如权利要求8所述的彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其中所述的热压程序包含利用一热滚轮及一脱泡机。
10.如权利要求7所述的彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其中所述护色层的材料是压克力树脂、聚乙烯醇缩醛树脂、硅树脂或热塑性树脂。
11.一种彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其具有以下步骤:
在一前面板上方沉积一彩色光阻层;
将一护色层的下表面贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面,其中该护色层是一热塑性透明材料层;
将一透明粘胶层的上表面贴附在一外板的下表面;以及
将该透明粘胶层的下表面与该护色层的上表面贴合。
12.如权利要求11所述的彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其中所述护色层的下表面是由一热压程序贴附在该彩色光阻层的上表面。
13.如权利要求12所述的彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其中所述的热压程序包含利用一热滚轮及一脱泡机。
14.如权利要求11所述的彩色电子纸结构的制造方法,其中所述护色层的材料是压克力树脂、聚乙烯醇缩醛树脂、硅树脂或热塑性树脂。
