Abstract

本发明涉及一种背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置,该背光模块包括背板、光源、导光板、胶框以及包括四个直条型的子前框的前框,该前框覆盖在胶框的上表面,与所述胶框配合以固定所述显示面板。本发明的背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置的前框结构简单,降低了背光模块的制作成本,同时减轻了背光模块的重量。

背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置
技术领域
本发明涉及显示领域,特别是涉及一种可减少背光模块重量和节约背光模块成本的背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置。
背景技术
随着显示器技术快速的进步与发展,传统的阴极射线管(cathode ray tube,CRT)因存在空间利用不佳与消耗大量能源等问题,已逐渐被淘汰,取而代之的是轻、薄、短、小的液晶显示器(liquid crystal display,LCD)。而由于液晶显示器具备有高显示质量、低能源消耗及无辐射线等优点,使得液晶显示器大量地被应用于膝上型计算机、行动电话、个人数字助理(Personal Digital Assistant,PDA)、数字摄影机、数字相机以及液晶电视等通讯、信息或消费性电子产品之中。
请参照图1和图2,图1为现有技术的液晶显示装置的结构示意图,图2为图1按A-A’的截面线方向所视的截面图。该液晶显示装置主要包括背光模块与显示面板10两大部分,背光模块的主要功能是用来提供一均匀的面光源给显示面板10。背光模块主要包括导光板11、光源(图中未示出)、胶框12、背板13以及前框14。其中导光板11具有入光面,并在入光面一侧设置光源。胶框12用于将上述导光板11以及光源固定在背板13上,使由导光板11的出光面出射的光线可照射到显示面板10。前框14与胶框12共同夹持显示面板10以固定显示面板10。
如图1和图2所示,现有的前框14一般为一体式设计,前框14通过多个螺丝15,与胶框12和背板13连接,前框14的横截面为倒置的“L”型。这种设计前框14使用的原材料较多,使得前框14的制作成本较高,同时也造成了背光模块的重量的增加。
故,有必要提供一种背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置,以解决现有技术所存在的问题。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置,该背光模块的前框包括四个直条型的子前框,结构简单,从而降低了前框结构的制作成本,同时减轻了背光模块的重量。解决了现有背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置制作成本较高,背光模块重量较大的技术问题。
为解决上述问题,本发明提供的技术方案如下:
本发明涉及一种背光模块,其包括:背板;光源,设置在所述背板上,用于给相应的显示面板提供背光源;导光板,设置在所述光源的出光面一侧,用于引导所述光源的光线;胶框,设置在所述背板上,用于将所述光源和所述导光板固定在所述背板上;以及前框,包括四个直条型的子前框,其覆盖在所述胶框的上表面,与所述胶框配合以固定所述显示面板。
在本发明所述的背光模块中,所述胶框上设置有用于对所述前框进行定位的定位部。
在本发明所述的背光模块中,所述前框为金属件或是与所述胶框的上表面的形状相应的塑胶件。
在本发明所述的背光模块中,每个所述子前框覆盖在所述背光模块的一侧边的所述胶框的上表面。
在本发明所述的背光模块中,四个所述子前框一体化成型。
在本发明所述的背光模块中,所述前框上设置有通孔,所述前框通过所述通孔与所述胶框连接。
本发明还涉及一种液晶显示装置,其包括:显示面板;以及背光模块,包括:背板;光源,设置在所述背板上,用于给所述显示面板提供背光源;导光板,设置在所述光源的出光面一侧,用于引导所述光源的光线;胶框,设置在所述背板上方,用于将所述光源和所述导光板固定在所述背板上;以及前框,包括四个直条型的子前框,其覆盖在所述胶框的上表面,与所述胶框配合以固定所述显示面板。
在本发明所述的液晶显示装置中,所述胶框上设置有用于对所述前框进行定位的定位部。
在本发明所述的液晶显示装置中,所述前框为金属件或是与所述胶框的上表面的形状相应的塑胶件。
在本发明所述的液晶显示装置中,所述前框上设置有通孔,所述前框通过所述通孔与所述胶框连接。
相较于现有的背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置,本发明的前框包括四个直条型的子前框,其覆盖在所述胶框的上表面,并与所述胶框配合以固定显示面板,因此简化了背光模块的结构,从而降低了背光模块的制作成本,同时减轻了背光模块的重量。解决了现有背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置制作成本较高,背光模块重量较大的技术问题。

以下各实施例的说明是参考附加的图式,用以例示本发明可用以实施的特定实施例。本发明所提到的方向用语,例如「上」、「下」、「前」、「后」、「左」、「右」、「内」、「外」、「侧面」等,仅是参考附加图式的方向。因此,使用的方向用语是用以说明及理解本发明,而非用以限制本发明。
在图中,结构相似的单元是以相同标号表示。
请参照图3和图4,图3为本发明的液晶显示装置的优选实施例的结构示意图,图4为按图3中的B-B’截面线方向所视的截面图。本发明的液晶显示装置包括显示面板20及背光模块,背光模块包括背板23、光源(图中未示出)、导光板21、胶框22以及前框24,如图4所示,背板23设置在背光模块的底部;光源设置在背板23上,用于给显示面板20提供背光源;导光板21也设置在背板23上,同时设置在光源的出光面一侧,用于引导光源的光线;胶框22设置在背板23上方,用于将光源和导光板21固定在背板23上;前框24包括四个直条型的子前框241,其直接覆盖在胶框22的上表面,该上表面位于胶框22的外侧且平行于显示面板20的出光面,前框24通过与胶框22的配合,夹持固定住显示面板20。
胶框22从上到下依次设置有:对前框24进行定位的凸缘状的定位部221、相对靠外侧且呈环形的上阶状部222、以及相对靠内侧且呈环形的下阶状部223,定位部221使得前框24可以准确设置在胶框22的上阶状部222上并避免前框24发生位移。定位部221可设计成多种结构,例如为图4所示的凸出于胶框的上阶状部222(即上表面)的凸缘,也可设计成定位柱的结构,配合前框24上的定位孔对前框24进行定位。
前框24的形状与胶框22的形状相应(例如为矩形环状),使得前框24可以紧密的覆盖在胶框22的上阶状部222上。同时前框24上设置有通孔,前框24可使用螺丝或螺栓,通过该通孔与胶框22进行螺接,以将前框24紧密贴合在胶框22的上阶状部222。如图4所示,这里也可在胶框22的相应位置设置通孔,前框24和胶框22通过前框24的通孔和胶框22的通孔,与背板23进行螺接,使前框24和胶框22一起固定在背板23的外侧。
本发明的前框24可以是金属件或塑胶件,如前框24是金属件,直条型的金属件的冲压或铸造模具制作起来较为简单,节省了前框24的模具的制作成本;同时制作该前框24的金属材料的使用量也可大大减少,节省了前框24的制作成本。如前框24是塑胶件,由于前框24与胶框22的上阶状部222的形状相应,因此不需要制作单独的前框模具,使用胶框模具即可制作出相应的前框24。
本发明的前框24的子前框241可设计为分体组合式,如图3所示,每个子前框241覆盖背光模块一侧边的胶框22的上表面(即上阶状部222)。这样子前框241的结构简单、安装方便。四个直条型的子前框241可共同构成一个矩形环状的前框24。本发明的前框24的四个子前框241也可一体化成型,即使用同一模具一次成型四个子前框241,四个子前框241构成一个矩形环状的整体前框24,这样的前框24制作更简单。
在本实施例中,光源可为LED发光灯条(Light Bar),其包括电路板和发光组件(例如LED晶粒),电路板例如为印刷电路板(Printed circuit board,PCB)或软性印刷电路板(Flexible Printed Circuits,FPC),发光组件是设置电路板上。光源具有一出光面,用以发出光线至导光板21内,此出光面优选为一平面,其可例如形成于发光组件的表面,且此光源的出光面优选是大致垂直于光源所发出的光线方向(即光线进入导光板21时的入射方向)。
本实施例中的导光板21例如是利用射出成型的方式来制成平板形结构,其材料例如为光硬化型树脂、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)或聚碳酸酯(PC)。导光板21包括有出光面、光反射面及侧入光面。出光面是位于导光板21的正面,用以允许光线由导光板21发出至显示面板20,光反射面是位于导光板21的底面,且相对于出光面。导光板21的侧入光面是形成于导光板21的一侧或相对两侧,其对应于光源的出光面,用以允许光源所发出的光线可进入导光板21内,侧入光面可大致垂直于出光面。
本实施例中的背板23是由不透光材质所制成,例如:塑化材料、金属材料或上述材料的组合。
导光板21还可在其光反射面上设置反射层25,反射层25例如为反射膜片或反射涂层,其具有高反射率材料,用以反射行进至光反射面的光线。此高反射率材料可例如为银、铝、金、铬、铜、铟、铱、镍、铂、铼、铑、锡、钽、钨、锰、上述任意组合的合金、耐黄化且耐热的白色反射漆料或上述材料的任意组合,以反射光线。值得注意的是,导光板21的光反射面亦可涂布此高反射率材料,以反射入射光线,因而可进一步取代及省略设置反射层25。
同时导光板21还可在其出光面上设置光学膜片26,光学膜片26可例如为扩散片、棱镜片、逆棱镜片(Turning Prism Sheet)、增亮膜(Brightness Enhancement Film,BEF)、反射式增亮膜(Dual Brightness Enhancement Film,DBEF)、非多层膜式反射偏光片(Diffused Reflective Polarizer Film,DRPF)或上述的任意组合,用以改善由导光板21出光的光学效果。
本发明的液晶显示装置装配时,先将光源和导光板21安装到背板23的相应位置上(安装导光板21时,同时设置好反射层25以及光学膜片26);然后在背板23的上方安装胶框22,通过胶框22将光源和导光板21固定在背板23上;随后将显示面板20安装在胶框22的上阶状部222上;最后将前框24(例如四个直条型的子前框241)安装胶框22的上阶状部222上,通过螺接等方式,使前框24牢固安装在胶框22的上阶状部222上,同时前框24和胶框22的下阶状部223共同组成一夹持空间,以供夹持固定住显示面板20,其中夹持空间的高度约等于或稍小于显示面板20的厚度;这样基本完成了液晶显示装置的装配。
本发明的背光模块及液晶显示装置的前框包括四个直条型的子前框,大大简化了背光模块,特别是前框的结构,从而降低了背光模块的制作成本,同时减轻了背光模块的重量。解决了现有背光模块及相应的液晶显示装置制作成本较高,背光模块重量较大的技术问题。
综上所述,虽然本发明已以优选实施例揭露如上,但上述优选实施例并非用以限制本发明,本领域的普通技术人员,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围内,均可作各种更动与润饰,因此本发明的保护范围以权利要求界定的范围为准。

Claims (8)

1.一种背光模块,其特征在于,包括:
背板;
光源,设置在所述背板上,用于给相应的显示面板提供背光源;
导光板,设置在所述光源的出光面一侧,用于引导所述光源的光线;
胶框,设置在所述背板上,用于将所述光源和所述导光板固定在所述背板上;以及
前框,包括四个直条型的子前框,其覆盖在所述胶框的上表面,与所述胶框配合以固定所述显示面板;
其中所述胶框包括:
凸缘状的定位部,用于对所述前框进行定位;
相对靠所述胶框的外侧且呈环形的上阶状部;以及
相对靠所述胶框的内侧且呈环形的下阶状部。
2.根据权利要求1所述的背光模块,其特征在于,所述前框为金属件或是与所述胶框的上表面的形状相应的塑胶件。
3.根据权利要求1所述的背光模块,其特征在于,每个所述子前框覆盖在所述背光模块的一侧边的所述胶框的上表面。
4.根据权利要求1所述的背光模块,其特征在于,四个所述子前框一体化成型。
5.根据权利要求1所述的背光模块,其特征在于,所述前框上设置有通孔,所述前框通过所述通孔与所述胶框连接。
6.一种液晶显示装置,其特征在于,包括:
显示面板;以及
背光模块,包括:
背板;
光源,设置在所述背板上,用于给所述显示面板提供背光源;
导光板,设置在所述光源的出光面一侧,用于引导所述光源的光线;
胶框,设置在所述背板上方,用于将所述光源和所述导光板固定在所述背板上;以及
前框,包括四个直条型的子前框,其覆盖在所述胶框的上表面,与所述胶框配合以固定所述显示面板;
其中所述胶框包括:
凸缘状的定位部,用于对所述前框进行定位;
相对靠所述胶框的外侧且呈环形的上阶状部;以及
相对靠所述胶框的内侧且呈环形的下阶状部。
7.根据权利要求6所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于,所述前框为金属件或是与所述胶框的上表面的形状相应的塑胶件。
8.根据权利要求6所述的液晶显示装置,其特征在于,所述前框上设置有通孔,所述前框通过所述通孔与所述胶框连接。
