Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种广泛用于遮盖电子设备的保护套,以及这种保护套的制造过程,特别是在其制造过程中将聚碳酸酯窗口加热粘合到软质保护套外壳的成型过程,从而避免该窗口从保护套的外壳发生脱层。
背景技术
随着技术进步,消费者面对着越来越多个人数码设备的选择。这些数码设备包含移动电话、“智能”电话、个人数字助理(PDAs)、便携式GPS装置、紧凑型游戏机、紧凑型音频/视频播放器和无线电子书。
经过不断地改进,这些电子设备的功能越来越多,但它们仍然受到长久使用问题的困扰:其元件易损坏,尤其容易受到灰尘和水的影响。电子设备还容易受到磨损和撕裂的损伤,特别是显示屏上的划痕或其它负面冲击。由此产生了用于保护这些电子设备的保护套。
目前市场上绝大多数保护套与无数通用保护套的差别很小,几乎都提供对电子设备的表面、侧面和背面进行包裹的保护,通常包含对用户界面(例如滚轮或键盘)的保护,但电子设备的屏幕、开关、双耳式耳机插口和充电插口或连接线插口则完全暴露。一些模型可能具有一个屏幕保护,但它与保护套分属独立的组分。由于这些屏幕保护并不与产品结合,它们不能防止产品暴露于灰尘或湿气,只是用于保护屏幕免受刮擦。
美国专利No.5896453公开了一种易弯曲的塑料制防水附件,其在手机外壳内部,电子设备(例如移动手机)的电路周围包裹。虽然提供了一种电子设备的防水套,但它却不能保护屏幕。
美国专利No.6785566公开了一种电子设备套,包含一个覆盖有乙烯基的泡沫套,具有一个透明的取景窗和扬声器与话筒的铰链开口。这个保护套可缓冲撞击,防水防污。尽管适用于上一代具有凸起按键的手机,但泡沫套体积较大、较笨重,与电子设备向小的流线型发展的趋势相反,且不适用于触摸屏设备。此外,虽然该保护套具有透明窗口,但这些窗口与保护套却不是一个整体,或是粘合在保护套上,因此不能防水防尘。
美国专利No.7312984公开了多种保护套设计,它们都是硬质的硬壳套。许多保护套是防水、抗压、耐冲击的。这些保护套具有一个位于上面的外壳和一个位于下面的外壳,彼此以铰链连接在一起。一层保护膜与外壳连接,用户可以查看、使用置于保护套内的设备的触摸屏或屏幕。接头(例如,头戴式受话器插座)可位于保护套内,连接电子设备,因此使用者只需连接到保护套,保护套的保护作用不受接头影响。
这些设备为便于携带的电子设备提供了重要的保护,它们体积较大且笨重,使简洁细长的电子设备变成更大的被塑料覆盖的设备,且价格较高。此外,如果去除O-形环或不正确的连接,那么以O-形环的方式连接到外壳上的保护膜可能会产生浸水问题。另一种实施例公开了将保护膜连接到保护泡沫的方式,保护膜反过来会连接到外壳上。该连接可使用一种粘合剂,这将使保护膜与保护泡沫分层,引起浸水问题。
这些现有技术都没有提供一种软质的坚实保护套,不能将与视频兼容、附件齐全的屏幕完全包围起来从而对其提供全面保护,并且其价格也不是普通消费者可以承受的。因此,本发明实施例的目的是为了提供一种软壳的电子设备保护套,能够防尘防水,且价格适中,与现有技术和制作方法相比更为便利。
从下面的描述中还将明确了解本发明实施例的其他对象。
发明内容
本发明通过将一个薄的聚碳酸酯窗口加热粘合到软质保护套的外壳上,并在注塑工序中形成一个防水的密封来解决上述问题。一个完整的窗口覆盖着配有相机的设备的镜头。该外壳在耳机的扬声器孔上方有一个防水的音响孔。为了实现防水的封闭,设计了一个具有双重密封的塑料滑动器,用于封闭盖子外壳内外表面上的音频插口,一个具有防水音响孔的塑料末端端盖,用成型于外壳和末端端盖组件内互补的密封条来封闭保护套底部。
本发明一方面提供了一种保护套,用于具有屏幕的电子设备。该保护套包含一个外壳和一个末端端盖。外壳是一个一端具有开口的封闭体,其形状与置于该封闭体内的电子设备的形状一致。外壳是由一种软质的弹性材料制成的,具有一个整体连接至软质外壳上的保护膜,当电子设备嵌入这种外壳时,保护膜提供了一个可视窗口,通过它可以看到屏幕,并可以操作触摸屏设备。
保护膜具有很多穿孔,并且热机械地粘合到外壳上。外壳优选地由热塑性弹性体或热塑性橡胶制成。弹性体或橡胶填充上述穿孔,从而构成机械粘合。保护膜优选地是由一种聚碳酸脂的热塑性材料制成。
在外壳上还可以设置一个孔,使其与电子设备的输入区域相对应,邻近孔的外壳上有一个细长的导向槽,这个孔被导向槽内的被导向槽内的一个从孔打开时的开口位置,向孔封闭时的关闭位置滑动的硬质的滑动器密封。该滑动器通过双重的内外封条密封该孔,从而在关闭位置时维持防水的密封。

这种制造方法还包含以下步骤:准备一个含有一个第一部分和一个第二部分的模具,该模具的形状大体上与上述电子设备的形状一致或略大;将保护膜定位在第一部分,该保护膜的外缘有很多穿孔;将一个心轴置于第一部分内并与保护膜毗邻,并将该心轴塑造成电子设备的形状;将第二部分连接至第一部分,从而将保护膜和心轴封闭在模具内;向模具内注入弹性材料,该弹性材料包围着心轴,并且热机械地粘合到保护膜上。

具体实施方式
一种电子设备的保护套1的具体实施例见图1-4所示。附图中所示的设备保护套1的具体实施例对应于一种特定的电子设备13,然而,下文讨论的电子设备保护套的实际定位和有效性能够为任何电子设备定制。
保护套1包含一个软质弹性材料的外壳18,该外壳具有正面、背面、侧面,一个封闭端29和一个电子设备13能够插入保护套1的开口端20。外壳的厚度优选为2mm(0.787英寸)厚,它具有减震作用,并可保持保护套纤细的轮廓。保护套1具有一个完全整合的保护膜4,保护膜4对应位于外壳内嵌入的电子设备13的屏幕17位置。保护膜4允许使用者查看设备的屏幕17,并可操作触摸屏设备。防水的音响孔28覆盖着耳机扬声器孔5。如图1b所示,当电子设备完全插入保护套1内时,保护套1在电子设备13的相机镜头处(未显示)还具有一个保护膜11。
保护膜4,11优选由聚碳酸脂树脂热塑性材料制成,在其两侧上各具有一层防UV的涂层。在保护套1的制作过程中,保护膜上还覆盖有一层实用的PVC配准膜16和一个乙烯基防护罩53,如下文详述。一种合适的聚碳酸脂树脂热塑性材料由SABIC基础创新塑料部(SABIC Innovative Plastics)生产,以LEXAN为商标上市。预期还可以使用其他材料,例如丙烯酸树脂和聚乙烯对酞酸盐乙二醇(PETG),或聚酯薄板,如Mylar来制备该保护膜。在下文所述的注入塑模过程中,保护膜被热粘合到保护套1的软质弹性外壳18上。
如图2a-2d所示,保护套1的顶端具有一个耳机插口14,位于与电子设备13耳机插口相应的位置。插口14最好以单一的O-形环的形式成型于保护套内,从而在使用耳机12时提供一种防水的密封。该O-形环的直径最好略小于相应双耳式耳机塑料头15的直径,从而在双耳式耳机12插入该插口14时形成一种非常严密的密封,以防止水分渗入。塑料头15的一部分位于O-形环14内,软质易弯曲弹性材料制成的O-形环14产生变形,使得塑料头15能够紧实地嵌入其中。
一个位于保护套顶部的硬质的塑料耳机插口滑动器可从图2a和2b所示的打开位置向图2c所示的关闭位置滑动。图2d显示了与保护套1分开的耳机插口滑动器2,以展示该孔14和相应的细长导向槽19。耳机插口滑动器2通过双重的内外封条封闭耳机插口14,从而在关闭位置时维持防水的密封。

图1,图3a和图3b中所示的塑料管端端盖3可从外壳18的开口端移开,并当设备13插入外壳18内后,完全包围该设备13。塑料管端端盖3具有一系列硬质的凹凸轮廓7。保护套1具有一系列互补的凹凸轮廓6,其形成在开口端20软质弹性外壳18的内部。当管端端盖3通过插入开口端20连接到保护套1时,互补的凹凸轮廓6和7相互连接,从而形成一种密封——管端端盖的轮廓7的硬度,支撑着软质弹性外壳18的易弯曲的轮廓6。声槽9和28(如图1所示)以扬声器孔8上贴花图案的形式使用,扬声器孔8在注塑成型的管端端盖3内成形,位于耳机扬声器孔5上方。音响孔9和28使声音穿过扬声器孔8和耳机孔5,同时防止水进入保护套内。管端端盖3内部具有一个突出物55,其在相对于电子设备的归位按钮25的凹口和位置处具有一定的斜度,从而使归位按钮适当的功能可以起作用。
图4a-c图解说明了本发明的具体方面,其中包含:机械整合的耳机插口滑动器2位于保护套的顶部,将耳机插口14从内外表面封闭;互补的密封轮廓6的结构成型在软质塑料外壳18内部的开口端20处,聚碳酸脂视窗4的粘合在保护套的内表面,并在内部延伸而覆盖耳机扬声器5孔,来提供一种防水的密封,而不会影响声音质量;此应用中,聚碳酸脂视窗4外表面上有一层聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花纸1,聚碳酸脂视窗4内表面上有乙烯基防护罩53。
三个主要组成部分——外壳18、保护膜4,11和管端端盖3中的每一个部分,都被塑成所需电子设备的形状,包含电子设备的外围按钮、插孔和屏幕。例如,图1a和1b中所示的电子设备13,包含一个环形/静音按钮21、一个音量控制器22、一个扬声器23、一个话筒24、一个归位按钮25、一个电话扬声器26、一个相机镜头(未显示)和一个电源按键(未显示)。为了使这些电子设备的特征能够正常地起作用,保护套1具有与该些特征一致的各自区域,包含对应形成环形/静音按钮31、一个音量控制按钮32、一个电源按键33的抬高的塑模区域,以及如图4所示的一个对应于归位按钮10的轻微凹陷的区域,归位按钮10本身在电子设备13上有凹痕。外围控制器周围的弹性外壳的公差或厚度减少至约1mm(0.04英寸)的厚度,从而允许有更大的空间来操作控制器。此外,保护套具有扬声器孔8、电话扬声器5和相机镜头保护膜11。上文也已经详细地描述了双耳式耳机插孔14和滑动器2。
i.设备与材料
防护套的视窗4,11由在冲切装置上切割聚碳酸脂薄板制成与部分电子设备一致的预定大小和形状。聚氯乙烯(PVC)层16和乙烯基保护罩53被镂空,并应用于聚碳酸脂视窗上作为贴花。聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花用于将该视窗置于模型窗口的精确位置,下文中将更详细的讨论。聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花的厚度优选为0.762mm(0.03英寸),其预先蒙在0.254mm(0.01英寸)聚碳酸脂视窗的一侧。乙烯基防护罩有0.5mm(1/64英寸)厚,用在聚碳酸脂视窗4上与聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花相对的一侧。预计还可以用一个粘合纸或粘附薄膜来替代乙烯基防护罩。
贴花最好粘附在距视窗4,11边缘3mm(0.118英寸)以内,从而使该视窗4,11粘合到弹性外壳18。
保护套1的外壳18注塑成型在心轴49上,如图6a和图6b所示的正面和背面钢模型43和44的模型中,并优选由热塑性弹性材料(TPE)制造。预计也可使用热塑性橡胶(TPR)制成。耳机插口滑动器2和管端端盖3都在钢模型内注塑成型,并由Lexan 141-701聚碳酸脂制成。预期它还可以用其他合适的材料制作,例如丙烯腈丁二烯苯乙烯(ABS)。
防水的音响孔材料9包含在管端端盖3内,将扬声器23和话筒24的孔8与末端端盖3的内部覆盖。音响孔材料9是一种微孔的疏水膜,例如W.L.Gore& Associates有限公司的产品。该膜由冲切制成,并用防水粘合剂环状地将音响孔材料9粘合到孔8上。
图7a,7b和7c中所示的推出器用于将新形成的保护套1从心轴49处移开。该推出器包含一个超高分子量(UHMW)的聚乙烯下卸料板50,一个充气汽缸51和一个垫板52。充气汽缸51安装在垫板52上,垫板52由机械制造的铝制成,具有两个直线型的闩(未显示),从而在移开保护套1时将钢制的心轴49固定在原位。下卸料板50以一种机械块的形式存在,相对于保护套视窗4的屏幕区域具有一个接触面54。下卸料板50连接至充气汽缸51,将保护套1从心轴49脱模。汽缸51可以是液压式的,或其他能产生互反线性运动的结构。
ii.制造步骤
在这里以附图说明所描述的注塑过程,用于制造一种特定品牌手机的保护套,该手机具有一个触摸屏和一个内置相机;可以理解的是这些制造步骤同样可以用于其他保护套的制作,以适用于不同品牌的个人数码设备。
在注塑成型过程中,热塑性弹性材料(TPE)被热粘合到聚碳酸脂视窗4,11上。图5说明了如何进行机械粘合,借此在模切阶段于聚碳酸脂视窗4边缘穿凿1.5mm(0.06英寸)大小的孔48,从而使热塑性弹性材料(TPE)流过聚碳酸脂膜,在保护套的外壳和视窗之间建立一种更为牢固的粘合。聚碳酸酯膜4与外壳18之间热机械的粘合保证不会发生脱层。聚碳酸脂视窗4延伸覆盖着传感器47的两个开口,在电话靠近耳朵时,使电话屏幕进入省电模式。在注塑过程中,乙烯基保护罩53保护聚碳酸脂视窗免受刮擦。
图6a和6b图解说明了层状聚碳酸脂视窗4的位置,聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花16位于模型43的配准腔45内,它们的设置先于注塑周期。为了保证视窗在模型的心轴49上的位置和排列,通过聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花16的外边缘,使视窗在注塑周期内始终都被固定在适当的位置,外边缘的大小在围壁42限定的配准腔45范围内。一旦适当排列在配准腔45内,视窗4就通过配准腔内的真空压力被固定,真空压力由真空口46产生,而真空口46穿过配准腔45表面进入模型43的核心。虽然图中没有显示,但模型44内还有一个相应的真空口和配准腔,用于配准相机镜头保护膜11。可以理解的是保护膜11也具有一种类似的制作过程。
如图6b中所示,两个定位针41被机械地置于心轴49内,从而在注塑过程的闭模步骤之前对视窗进行定位。模型45的腔和心轴49上涂有不粘涂层,例如以Nibore销售的产品。预期也可使用其他类似的具有不粘性的产品,例如以Teflon销售的产品。
图7a,7b和7c图解说明了在注塑周期结束时,保护套从心轴49的移去。前后模型43,44彼此分隔开,模型的心轴49及完整的外壳18和视窗4,11与模型分开,并置于推出器内。心轴49被置于垫板52的定位锁上,下卸料板被设置在弹性外壳18内限定视窗的边界内使接触面54与(覆盖有聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花16)的视窗4相接触。经汽缸51产生的剪切力,使下卸料板50由空气推动将保护套1从模具的心轴49上移去。下卸料板50使保护套能够很容易地从心轴49上移去,从而不会影响软质热塑性弹性材料(TPE)保护套轮廓处的公差。
如上所述,由防水膜制成的音响孔9和28以粘性的贴花纸的形式,运用在注塑末端端盖3内侧的话筒孔8和保护套外壳18的耳机孔5上。
注塑的耳机插口滑动器2和末端端管3手动地粘附在外壳上,以完成防水保护套的装配。聚氯乙烯(PVC)贴花纸16和乙烯基防护罩53在装配后去除。
本领域技的技术人员可以理解本发明详细描述的具体实施例和备选实施例,还可对本发明进行某些修改。这些修改和替代都没有脱离本发明原理的限定。
Claims (24)
1.一种适用于具有一个屏幕的电子设备的保护套,其特征在于,所述保护套包含:
外壳,其限定了一个在一端具有开口的封闭体,其形状与置于封闭体内的电子设备的形状一致,外壳是由一种软质的弹性材料制成;
保护膜,其作为一个整体连接至所述软质外壳上,当电子设备嵌入这种外壳内时,该保护膜提供了一个可视窗口,通过它可以看到屏幕;
一个硬质的末端端管,其可移动地连接至所述软质外壳的开口端,当电子设备插入所述外壳时,末端端管与软质外壳将电子设备完全包入其中。
2.如权利要求1所述的保护套,其特征在于,所述保护膜被热机械地粘合到所述外壳上。
3.如权利要求2所述的保护套,其特征在于,所述保护膜具有多个穿孔。
4.如权利要求3所述的保护套,其特征在于,所述外壳由热可塑性弹性体制成。
5.如权利要求4所述保护套,其特征在于,所述热可塑性弹性体填充了所述多个穿孔,来形成所述外壳与保护膜之间的机械粘合。
6.如权利要求3所述的保护套,其特征在于,所述外壳由热可塑性橡胶制成。
7.如权利要求6所述保护套,其特征在于,所述热可塑性橡胶填充了所述多个穿孔,来形成所述外壳与保护膜之间的机械粘合。
8.如权利要求5或7所述保护套,其特征在于,所述保护膜是一种聚碳酸酯树脂热塑性物质。
9.如权利要求1所述保护套,其特征在于,还包含一个孔,其设置在外壳上并与电子设备的输入区域相对应,外壳上邻近孔的位置有一个细长的导向槽,所述的孔被导向槽内的一个从孔打开时的开口位置,向孔封闭时的关闭位置滑动的硬质的滑动器密封。
10.如权利要求9所述保护套,其特征在于,所述滑动器通过一个双重的内外封条来密封所述的孔,从而在关闭位置时维持防水的密封。
11.如权利要求10所述保护套,其特征在于,所述滑动器具有一个内部密封元件和一个外部密封元件,这两个元件通过中心柱连接。
12.如权利要求11所述保护套,其特征在于,所述滑动器还包含一个从外部密封元件延伸出的隆起物,当滑动器处于关闭位置时,所述隆起物嵌入孔中。
13.如权利要求1~7,9~12中任意一项所述的保护套,其特征在于,所述保护套还包含一个开口,其由一个耳机扬声器孔来密封,所述开口的位置与所述电子设备的音频元件相对应。
14.如权利要求8所述保护套,其特征在于,所述保护套还包含一个开口,其由一个耳机扬声器孔来密封,所述开口的位置与所述电子设备的音频元件相对应。
15.一种保护套的制造方法,所述保护套用于带屏幕的电子设备,其特征在于,所述制造方法包含将保护膜热机械地粘合到软质外壳的步骤,所述保护膜提供一个可视窗口,所述电子设备插入到所述外壳时,通过所述可视窗口能够看到所述屏幕。
16.如权利要求15所述方法,其特征在于,还包含下列步骤:
准备一个含有一个第一部分和一个第二部分的模具,所述模具的形状大体上与所述电子设备的形状一致或略大;
将所述保护膜定位在所述第一部分,该保护膜的外缘有多个穿孔;
将一个心轴置于第一部分内并与所述保护膜毗邻,并将所述心轴注塑成所述电子设备的形状;
将所述第二部分连接至所述第一部分,从而将所述保护膜和心轴封闭在模具内;
向所述模具内注入弹性材料,所述弹性材料包围着心轴,并热机械地粘合到保护膜上。
17.如权利要求16所述方法,其特征在于,还包含下列步骤:
将所述保护膜置于第一部分内以前,将一个可移动的贴花纸粘贴到所述保护膜的第一侧面,所述可移动贴花纸的形状和大小与所述模具的第一部分内限定的一个配准腔相配合,以确保所述保护膜处于适当的位置。
18.如权利要求17所述的方法,其特征在于,还包含:
向所述配准腔内施加真空压力,从而在注塑过程对所述保护膜的位置进行固定。
19.如权利要求18所述方法,其特征在于,所述心轴具有若干定位针,进而有助于将保护膜置于适当的位置。
20.如权利要求19所述方法,其特征在于,所述模具和所述心轴具有一层不粘层。
21.如权利要求17所述方法,其特征在于,在将所述保护膜定位于第一部分内以前,将一个可移动的保护罩置于所述保护膜上与所述第一侧面相对的第二侧面上。
22.如权利要求16所述方法,其特征在于,还包含以下步骤:将所述心轴从所述模具中移出,所述心轴由所述保护套环绕,并且将所述保护套从所述心轴移开。
23.如权利要求22所述方法,其特征在于,还包含以下步骤:将一个耳机扬声器孔与所述保护套内相应的孔相连接,所述保护套内的孔置于与所述电子设备的音频相关元件相对应的位置。
24.如权利要求23所述方法,其特征在于,还包含注塑形成一个硬质的末端端盖,使其与所述保护套的开口端连接。
