Abstract

本发明涉及2007年4月2日递交的待决的美国专利申请11/732,075中描述的微生物擦洗刷的改进。
如已知的,各种产品已被提供,意图为各种医疗装置的端口灭菌。例如,公开的美国专利申请2008/0147047描述了一种用于接合座(hub)的盖,所述盖具有用于螺接到所述座上的带螺纹的内部,并且在所述内部具有一个或更多个被消毒剂饱和的枕。所述盖被描述为保留在所述座上。

公开的美国专利申请2006/0030827描述了一种鲁尔接口清洁体,所述鲁尔接口清洁体被描述为被确定尺寸,以接纳鲁尔接口连接件,并且所述鲁尔接口清洁体具有聚丙烯刷毛,以接合和清洁所述鲁尔接口连接件的外表面。
本发明的目的在于提供以相对不昂贵的方式制造的原位擦洗刷(site scrub brush)。
本发明的另一目的在于提供可以被手动地压紧,以增强刷在鲁尔接口的外表面上的擦洗效果的原位擦洗刷。
简单地说,本发明提供由块料样形状的泡沫材料形成的能够接纳和保存溶液(如清洁液或消毒剂)的原位擦洗刷,并且该泡沫材料除了一个表面以外被密封材料包住,以阻止溶液损失。未被密封的表面可以被可移除的盖体(如铝箔或其他适合的材料)覆盖,从而盖体一旦被移除,泡沫材料可以用于擦洗一用具,如鲁尔接口连接件。该密封材料的特征在于具有是柔性的本质和/或厚度,并且当连接件被插入时,将会允许泡沫材料在被挤压时是压紧的或变形的。
泡沫材料可以是开孔的或半开孔的,并且可以从片材模制或挤出或冲切(die cut)。
密封材料可以是聚氨酯,聚酯,或任何在本质上是不可渗透的并且将会作为防止任何溶液进入或离开所述泡沫材料的阻挡物的塑料聚合物。为了密封泡沫材料的周界和底表面,密封材料可以通过喷射在或叠置(laminate)到该泡沫材料上,或者通过将该泡沫材料浸入到该密封材料而施加于该泡沫材料的暴露的表面。
所述溶液可以是清洁液或消毒剂。
泡沫材料可以被成形和形成为如美国专利申请11/732,075和12/079,965中所描述的以及如在每个所述专利申请中所使用的部件(section),每个所述申请的公开内容被并入本文。

参考图1,原位擦洗刷由块料形状的泡沫材料10制造,泡沫材料10被密封材料的薄层11包围。特别地,泡沫材料是圆柱形块料样形状,并且是由中等密度的半开孔泡沫制成,如半闭孔亲水性聚氨酯医用级泡沫。
泡沫材料10具有接纳溶剂(如清洁液或抗菌消毒液)的本质,并且可以如在美国专利申请11/732,075和12/079,965中所描述的那样被使用。
密封材料11可以是聚氨酯,聚酯,或任何在本质上是不可渗透的并且将会作为防止任何溶液进入或离开该泡沫的阻挡物的塑料聚合物。
擦洗刷被提供有固定在泡沫材料10的开放端上方的可移除盖体12。盖体12可以是箔(如铝箔),并且被热封到泡沫材料10的暴露的表面。盖体(或箔盖)12在使用之前将会被剥掉,并且将会防止泡沫材料10中的溶液漏出或变干。
作为一种选择,盖体12可以被密封到密封材料的薄阻挡物覆层11。
为了制造擦洗刷,泡沫材料10从片材模制或挤出或冲切,以形成圆柱形块料形状。特别地,泡沫材料10被注射成型。其后,泡沫材料10的块料被浸入到密封材料,以在泡沫材料10的周边和底附近形成密封材料的薄层11,这使顶表面是暴露的。
密封材料的薄层11的特征在于具有柔性的本质和/或厚度,并且当连接件被插入时,将会允许泡沫材料10在被挤压时是压紧的或变形的。特别地,密封材料的层11具有厚度,该厚度用以密封泡沫材料10的块料的周表面和底,同时允许作为结果而发生的擦洗刷在使用者的指压下被手动地压紧。例如,若泡沫材料的块料具有0.75英寸的直径和0.87英寸的高度,层的厚度是从0.050英寸至0.080英寸。
其后,抗菌消毒液置于泡沫材料10内,并且盖体12就位封住溶液。
泡沫材料10的模制构造被制造,以容易地接纳医用类型的连接件阴性鲁尔接口。形状构造可以被模制为、烧制为(burn into)或研磨为(grind into)泡沫材料10。如所示出的,泡沫材料10具有基底13,如所视的从基底13向上延伸的环形部分14,以及以围绕的方式间隔的同心关系于环形部分14的从基底13向上延伸以界定环状间隙16的中央部分15。环状部分15具有圆锥形的向内定向的表面17,表面17提供到间隙16的变窄的入口和具有平坦端18的中央部分。

参考图2,擦洗刷的中央部分15由圆形端19制成。
参考图3,擦洗刷具有间隙16’,间隙16’在中央部分14的整个深度延伸,而没有如图1中那样的圆锥形入口部分。
参考图4,擦洗刷具有环状裂隙20,环状裂隙20将环状部分14从中央部分15分离,从而这两个部分彼此邻接。此外,中央部分15在端处是逐渐变窄的。
如图5中指示的,将泡沫材料10的环状部分从中央部分分离的环状裂隙可以延伸半程到泡沫材料中,或者,如图6和图7中所指示的,该环状裂隙可以完全地延伸通过泡沫材料10。
擦洗刷的结构允许该擦洗刷被作为自备独立灭菌装置(self contained individually sterile device)来被操控。例如,由于泡沫材料10的表面被密封材料的层11和盖体12闭 合,该泡沫材料能够维持在灭菌的状态中直到准备使用。
外阻挡物11和箔盖12将保持泡沫区的内容物是灭菌的。原位擦洗刷能够在有50至100个单位的盒子中被供应。如果所述单位以具有一个或更多个单位的密封袋来分发,该独立的单位按其本身的条件保持是灭菌的。
在使用中,为了清洁鲁尔接口,盖体12从擦洗刷移除,并且鲁尔接口插入到泡沫材料10中。在这方面,鲁尔接口在环状部分14和中央部分15之间同轴地插入,从而该鲁尔接口的外表面与环状部分14的内表面接合,而该鲁尔接口的内表面与该中央部分的外表面接合。其后,擦洗刷经由泡沫材料围绕鲁尔接口旋转,以擦洗鲁尔接口的内侧和外侧表面。在此期间,来自鲁尔接口的碎屑被泡沫材料吸收。归因于密封材料的层11的柔性本质和泡沫材料10的可压缩性,在鲁尔接口上旋转期间,这种使用可以在擦洗刷上施加压缩力,以增强泡沫材料的环状部分在鲁尔接口的外侧表面上的擦洗动作。

Claims (20)
1.一种原位擦洗刷,包括:
用于接纳和保存溶液的块料样形状的泡沫材料;
除了所述泡沫材料的一个表面以外包住所述泡沫材料的密封材料,以阻止所述溶液损失,其中所述密封材料是所述泡沫材料上的覆层;以及
覆盖所述一个表面的可移除盖体,
其中所述泡沫材料包括用于包围阴性鲁尔接口的外表面的环形部分和在所述环形部分内同心方式设置的中央部分,用来插入所述阴性鲁尔接口的中央通道;所述中央部分具有外圆锥形表面。
2.如权利要求1所述的原位擦洗刷,其中所述盖体是铝箔。
3.如权利要求1所述的原位擦洗刷,其中所述密封材料的特征在于是柔性的,所述柔性达到足以允许所述泡沫材料响应于所述泡沫材料中连接件的插入而变形的程度。

11.一种原位擦洗刷,包括:
