a fourth determining unit 705, configured to determine whether a minor version number in the upgraded version-related information is greater than a minor version number of the current version information when the determination result of the third determining unit 703 is that the major version number in the upgraded version-related information is not greater than the major version number in the current version information;
a fifth judging unit 706, configured to judge whether the upgrade triggering mode is an automatic upgrade mode or a manual upgrade mode when the judgment result of the fourth judging unit 706 is that the minor version number in the upgraded version-related information is greater than the minor version number of the current version information;
a third determining unit 707, configured to determine that software upgrade needs to be performed when the fifth determining unit 706 determines that the upgrade triggering manner is manual upgrade;
a fourth determining unit 707, configured to determine that software upgrade is not needed when the fifth determining unit 706 determines that the upgrade trigger mode is automatic upgrade; and is further configured to determine that software upgrade is not needed when the fourth determining unit 706 determines that the minor version number in the upgraded version-related information is not greater than the minor version number of the current version information.
According to the embodiment, through information interaction between the digital television and the server, the server automatically generates the description information needing to be upgraded for the digital television according to the upgrading request, namely the description information of the upgrading file containing the minimum upgrading data, and transmits the description information to the digital television through the network, so that the redundant data transmitted on the network can be reduced;
in addition, the digital television can judge whether to initiate upgrading according to the received upgrading version related information or a mode of triggering upgrading, so that the influence of frequent non-important upgrading on daily use of a user can be reduced, and the user can enjoy the latest television function at any time.
Example 5
As shown in fig. 8, the digital television includes a first determining unit 801, a request sending unit 802, a first information receiving unit 803, a file downloading unit 804, an upgrade triggering unit 805, a first storage unit 806, and a first identifier setting unit 807, and the functions of the digital television are similar to those of embodiment 3, and are not described herein again.
As shown in fig. 8, the digital television further includes an upgrade file determination unit 809; an upgrade file determining unit 809, configured to determine, according to the pre-stored description information and download identifier, an un-downloaded file or a file block in the file to be upgraded; and the file downloading unit 804 is further configured to download the files or file blocks not downloaded in the files needing to be upgraded, which are determined by the upgrade file determining unit 809.
As shown in fig. 8, the digital television further includes a second storage unit 810, a sixth judgment unit 811, a file update unit 812, and a pointer control unit 813; wherein,
a second storage unit 810 for storing the downloaded file, the second storage unit 810 being different from a storage space in which the file being used is stored; a sixth judging unit 811 for judging whether the file to be upgraded is downloaded; a file updating unit 812, configured to update the file when the determination result of the sixth determining unit 811 is yes, that is, the start pointer points to the updated file.
The second storage unit 810 may include a spare space and a use space, and the downloaded file is stored in the spare space, so that after the pointer control unit 813 points the start pointer to the updated file, the use space in which the file in use is originally stored becomes the spare space, and when the digital television is started again, the file in the storage space pointed by the start pointer can be used.
According to the embodiment, through information interaction between the digital television and the server, the server automatically generates the description information needing to be upgraded for the digital television according to the upgrading request, and the description information is transmitted to the digital television through the network, so that redundant data transmitted on the network can be reduced;
the digital television stores the received description information and identifies the downloaded file, so that when the current downloading of the digital television fails or a user abandons the current downloading and downloads the file again later, the digital television can download the file which is not downloaded according to the stored description information and the set downloading identification without downloading all the files, thereby reducing the upgrading time of the user and lightening the network load; furthermore, by downloading the files in blocks, the network load can be further reduced, or the success rate of the transfer can be increased in case of network congestion.
And the downloaded file is stored in the standby space, so that the condition that a user cannot start the television when the upgrade fails can be avoided, and the service life of the storage unit can be prolonged.
Example 6
An embodiment of the present invention provides a software upgrading system for a digital television, as shown in fig. 9, the system includes a digital television 901 and a server 902; wherein,
the structure of the digital television 901 is as described in embodiments 3 to 5, and is not described herein again.
As shown in fig. 10, the server includes a request receiving unit 1001, an upgrade file determining unit 1002, and a description information transmitting unit 1003; wherein,
a request receiving unit 1001 configured to receive the upgrade request sent by the digital television; the upgrade request is as described in embodiments 1 to 5, and is not described herein again.
A description information generating unit 1002, configured to generate description information of a file to be upgraded according to the upgrade request received by the request receiving unit 1001; the descriptive information transmitting unit 1003 transmits the descriptive information generated by the descriptive information generating unit 1002 to the digital television. The description information is as described in embodiments 1 to 5, and is not described herein again.
In addition, the server may further include:
a third information receiving unit 1004 for receiving related information transmitted by the digital television; the related information is as described in embodiments 1 to 5, and is not described herein again.
An upgrade information determining unit 1005 for determining the upgraded version-related information according to the current version information and the pre-stored version information in the related information; the version related information of the upgrade is as described in embodiments 1 to 5, and is not described herein again.
An upgrade information transmission unit 1006 for transmitting the upgraded version-related information determined by the upgrade information determination unit 1005 to the digital television.
According to the embodiment, through information interaction between the digital television and the server, the server automatically generates the description information needing to be upgraded for the digital television according to the upgrading request, and the description information is transmitted to the digital television through the network, so that redundant data transmitted on the network can be reduced;

A software module may reside in Random Access Memory (RAM), memory, Read Only Memory (ROM), electrically programmable ROM, electrically erasable programmable ROM, registers, hard disk, a removable disk, a CD-ROM, or any other form of storage medium known in the art.

Claims (27)

1. A method for upgrading software of a digital television, the method comprising:
the digital television judges whether software upgrading is needed or not;
if the judgment result is yes, the digital television sends an upgrading request to a server, and the upgrading request comprises: current version information including major version numbers and minor version numbers, and one or a combination of the following information: a name of a product series, a product model number of the product series, and a product identification of the product model number;
receiving the description information of the file to be upgraded, which is returned by the server according to the upgrading request, wherein the description information comprises: the name and the link address of the file to be upgraded and version information containing a major version number and a minor version number;
and downloading the corresponding file according to the description information.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein before the digital television determines whether a software upgrade is needed, the method further comprises:
triggering software upgrading according to preset time; or
And triggering software upgrading according to the received upgrading instruction input by the user.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the description information further comprises one or a combination of the following information: the data size of the files that need to be upgraded, the number of files that need to be upgraded, and the size and location of each file.
4. The method according to claim 1, wherein after receiving the description information of the file to be upgraded returned by the server according to the upgrade request, the method further comprises: and storing the description information.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein after downloading the corresponding file according to the description information, the method further comprises: and setting a downloading identifier for the downloaded file.
6. The method according to claim 1, wherein said downloading the corresponding file according to the description information comprises: downloading corresponding files in blocks according to the description information;
and after downloading the corresponding file in blocks according to the description information, the method further comprises: and setting a downloading identifier for the downloaded file block.
7. The method according to claim 5 or 6, wherein before downloading the corresponding file according to the description information, the method further comprises:
determining the undelivered files or file blocks in the files needing to be upgraded according to the pre-stored description information and the download identification;
and downloading the files or file blocks which are not downloaded in the files needing to be upgraded.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining whether the software upgrade is needed by the digital television comprises:
the digital television sends related information to a server, wherein the related information comprises: current version information including major version numbers and minor version numbers, and one or a combination of the following information: a name of a product series, a product model number of the product series, and a product identification of the product model number;
receiving upgraded version related information returned by the server according to the related information, wherein the upgraded version related information comprises the name and the link address of a file to be upgraded and version information containing a major version number and a minor version number; or the upgraded version related information includes: the method comprises the following steps that the name and the link address of a file to be upgraded, version information containing a major version number and a minor version number and a forced upgrade mark are included;
and the digital television determines whether software upgrading is needed according to the upgraded version related information.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein the digital television determining whether a software upgrade is required according to the version-related information of the upgrade comprises:
judging whether the upgraded version related information contains a forced upgrade mark;
and if the judgment result is that the updated version related information comprises a forced updating mark, determining that software updating is required.
10. The method of claim 9, wherein if the determination result of determining whether the upgraded version-related information includes the forced upgrade flag indicates that the forced upgrade flag is not included, the method further comprises:
judging whether a main version number in the upgraded version related information is larger than a main version number of the current version information;
and if the judgment result is that the main version number in the updated version related information is larger than the main version number in the current version information, determining that software updating is required.
11. The method of claim 10, wherein if the determination result of determining whether the major version number in the upgraded version-related information is greater than the major version number of the current version information indicates that the major version number in the upgraded version-related information is not greater than the major version number in the current version information, the method further comprises:
further judging whether a minor version number in the upgraded version related information is larger than a minor version number of the current version information;
if the judgment result is that the minor version number in the updated version related information is larger than the minor version number of the current version information, further determining whether the updating triggering mode is an automatic updating mode or a manual updating mode;
if the upgrade triggering mode is manual upgrade, determining that software upgrade is needed;
and if the upgrading triggering mode is automatic upgrading, determining that software upgrading is not needed.
12. The method of claim 1, wherein after downloading the corresponding file according to the description information, the method further comprises:
storing the downloaded file in a backup space of a storage unit, wherein the backup space is different from a storage space for storing the file in use;
judging whether the file needing to be upgraded is downloaded;
and if so, updating the file.
13. A digital television, comprising:
the first judging unit is used for judging whether software upgrading is needed or not;
a request sending unit, configured to send an upgrade request to a server when a determination result of the first determining unit is yes, where the upgrade request includes: current version information including major version numbers and minor version numbers, and one or a combination of the following information: a name of a product series, a product model number of the product series, and a product identification of the product model number;
a first information receiving unit, configured to receive description information of a file to be upgraded, where the file to be upgraded is returned by the server according to the upgrade request, where the description information includes: the name and the link address of the file to be upgraded and version information containing a major version number and a minor version number;
and the file downloading unit is used for downloading the corresponding file according to the description information received by the first information receiving unit.
14. The digital television of claim 13, further comprising an upgrade triggering unit for triggering software upgrade according to a preset time; or triggering software upgrading according to the received upgrading instruction input by the user;
and the first judging unit judges according to the software upgrade triggered by the upgrade triggering unit.
15. The digital television of claim 13, further comprising a first storage unit for storing the description information received by the information receiving unit.
16. The digital television of claim 13, further comprising a first identifier setting unit for setting a download identifier for the file downloaded by the file downloading unit.
17. The digital television of claim 13, wherein the file downloading unit is specifically configured to: downloading corresponding files in blocks according to the description information;
and the digital television also comprises a second identification setting unit which is used for setting a downloading identification for the file block downloaded by the file downloading unit.
18. The digital television according to claim 16 or 17, further comprising:
the upgrading file determining unit is used for determining the files or file blocks which are not downloaded in the files needing upgrading according to the pre-stored description information and the downloading identification;
and the file downloading unit is further configured to download files or file blocks that are not downloaded in the files that need to be upgraded and are determined by the upgrade file determining unit.
19. The digital television of claim 13, wherein the first judgment unit comprises:
an information sending unit, configured to send relevant information to a server, where the relevant information includes: current version information including major version numbers and minor version numbers, and one or a combination of the following information: a name of a product series, a product model number of the product series, and a product identification of the product model number;
the second information receiving unit is used for receiving upgraded version related information returned by the server according to the related information, wherein the upgraded version related information comprises the name and the link address of a file to be upgraded and version information containing a major version number and a minor version number; or the upgraded version related information includes: the method comprises the following steps that the name and the link address of a file to be upgraded, version information containing a major version number and a minor version number and a forced upgrade mark are included;
and the upgrading determining unit is used for determining whether software upgrading is needed or not according to the upgrading version related information received by the second information receiving unit.
20. The digital television of claim 19, wherein the upgrade determining unit comprises:
a second judging unit, configured to judge whether the upgraded version-related information includes a forced upgrade flag;
a first determining unit, configured to determine that software upgrade is required when the determination result of the second determining unit is that the upgraded version-related information includes a forced upgrade flag.
21. The digital television of claim 20, wherein the upgrade determination unit further comprises:
a third determining unit, configured to determine whether a major version number in the upgraded version-related information is greater than a major version number of the current version information when a determination result of the second determining unit is that a forced upgrade flag is not included;
and the second determining unit is used for determining that software upgrading is required when the judgment result of the third judging unit is that the major version number in the upgraded version related information is greater than the major version number in the current version information.
22. The digital television of claim 21, wherein the upgrade determination unit further comprises:
a fourth determining unit, configured to determine whether a minor version number in the upgraded version-related information is greater than a minor version number of the current version information when a determination result of the third determining unit is that the major version number in the upgraded version-related information is not greater than the major version number in the current version information;
a fifth judging unit, configured to judge whether the upgrade triggering mode is an automatic upgrade mode or a manual upgrade mode when the judgment result of the third judging unit is that the minor version number in the upgraded version-related information is greater than the minor version number of the current version information;
the third determining unit is used for determining that software upgrading is needed when the fifth judging unit judges that the upgrading triggering mode is manual upgrading;
and the fourth determining unit is used for determining that software upgrading is not needed when the fifth judging unit judges that the upgrading triggering mode is automatic upgrading.
23. The digital television of claim 13, further comprising:
a second storage unit for storing the downloaded file, the second storage unit being different from a storage space in which the file being used is stored;
a sixth judging unit, configured to judge whether the file to be updated is downloaded;
and the file updating unit is used for updating the file when the judgment result of the sixth judging unit is yes.
24. A software upgrading system of a digital television is characterized by comprising the digital television; the digital television includes:
the first judging unit is used for judging whether software upgrading is needed or not;
a request sending unit, configured to send an upgrade request to a server when a determination result of the first determining unit is yes, where the upgrade request includes: current version information including major version numbers and minor version numbers, and one or a combination of the following information: a name of a product series, a product model number of the product series, and a product identification of the product model number;
a first information receiving unit, configured to receive description information of a file to be upgraded, where the file to be upgraded is returned by the server according to the upgrade request, where the description information includes: the name and the link address of the file to be upgraded and version information containing a major version number and a minor version number;
and the file downloading unit is used for downloading the corresponding file according to the description information received by the first information receiving unit.
25. The system of claim 24, further comprising a server, the server comprising:
a request receiving unit, configured to receive the upgrade request sent by the digital television;
the description information generating unit is used for generating the description information of the file needing to be upgraded according to the upgrading request;
and the description information sending unit is used for sending the description information of the file which is generated by the information generating unit and needs to be upgraded to the digital television.
26. The system according to claim 25, wherein the first judging unit comprises:
an information sending unit, configured to send relevant information to a server, where the relevant information includes: current version information including major version numbers and minor version numbers, and one or a combination of the following information: a name of a product series, a product model number of the product series, and a product identification of the product model number;
the second information receiving unit is used for receiving upgraded version related information returned by the server according to the related information, wherein the upgraded version related information comprises the name and the link address of a file to be upgraded and version information containing a major version number and a minor version number; or the upgraded version related information includes: the method comprises the following steps that the name and the link address of a file to be upgraded, version information containing a major version number and a minor version number and a forced upgrade mark are included;
the upgrading determining unit is used for determining whether software upgrading is needed or not according to the upgrading version related information received by the second information receiving unit;
the server further comprises:
the third information receiving unit is used for receiving the related information sent by the digital television;
the upgrading information determining unit is used for determining a file needing to be upgraded according to the current version information in the related information and pre-stored version information, and determining the version related information of the upgrading according to the file needing to be upgraded;
and the upgrading information sending unit is used for sending the upgrading version related information determined by the information determining unit to the digital television.
27. The system according to claim 24 or 25 or 26, wherein the digital television further comprises the digital television according to any one of claims 14 to 18 and 20 to 23.
