Abstract

本发明涉及一种用来对连接面进行内外密封的密封圈。该密封圈具有截面呈O形的环状的基体,在环状基体的前后端面上分别开有环形的凹槽,所述凹槽的截面形状为口部较窄而底部较宽的梯形。本发明在使用过程中,当密封圈高压侧的气体向低压侧渗漏时会使密封圈基体材料向外胀开并更加紧密地压在接触面上,内部的压力越大,密封圈基体材料压紧接触面的压力也越大,从而保证了较好的密封效果。

本发明涉及一种用来对连接面进行内外密封的密封圈。
背景技术
现有的气体绝缘开关柜等有气密要求的装置中,对于平面连接的安装面,经常采用O型密封圈进行密封。普通的O型密封圈在使用时,气压较高的一侧气体会在压力作用下克服密封圈的材料弹性从密封圈与密封面的接触部分向低压侧渗漏,内外的压力差越大,这种渗漏的趋势就越强,从而影响了密封效果。
发明内容
本发明解决的技术问题是:在现有的O型密封圈结构基础上,提供一种密封性效果理好的密封圈。
本发明的技术方案是:该密封圈具有截面呈O形的环状的基体,在环状基体的前后端面上分别开有环形的凹槽,所述凹槽的截面形状为口部较窄而底部较宽的梯形。
本发明的有益技术效果是:由于在传统的O型密封圈的前后端面设置了梯形截面的凹槽,在使用过程中,两个环形凹槽部分会分别压紧在两个接触面上,形成环形的封闭腔,当密封圈高压侧的气体向低压侧渗漏时会首先进入该封闭腔并在该封闭腔内产生较大的压力,该压力作用于梯形截面两腰的部位,使密封圈基体材料向外胀开并更加紧密地压在接触面上,内部的压力越大,密封圈基体材料压紧接触面的压力也越大,从而保证了较好的密封效果。

具体实施方式
如图所示,该密封圈具有截面呈O形的环状的基体1,在环状基体的前后端面上分别开有环形的凹槽2,凹槽的截面形状为口部较窄而底部较宽的梯形。
使用过程中,密封圈的前后端面分别压在两个需要密封连接的密封接触面3上,凹槽2构成封闭腔,当高压侧4的气体向低压侧5渗漏时,首先进入凹槽2构成封闭腔,随着封闭腔中气体的增多,其中的压强也在增大,由于它是梯形结构,压强产生的压力作用在梯形的两条边上,其产生的竖直方向的分力使密封圈基体材料与接触面更紧密地贴合在一起,提高了密封效果。
