背景技术

平台101使用事件和呈现服务模块115监视并跟踪用户的聚集。模块115提供与关于场所109的各种设备107a-107n的定位有关的状态信息。事件和呈现服务模块115捕获呈现信息或设备107a-107n的用户的可用性(availability)。通过示例,一旦设备退出场所109,呈现模块115就从参加事件的活动用户列表中去除该设备。
在示例性实施例中,每个移动通信设备107a-107n都包括位置模块119,位置模块119使用全球定位系统(GPS)技术获取位置(或定位)信息,并因此用作GPS接收器。位置模块119与卫星群121通信,该卫星群121传送由GPS接收器119接收的极低功率干扰抵抗信号。在地球上的任何点,GPS接收器119都能从多个卫星(例如6至11)接收信号。具体地,GPS接收器119能从至少四个卫星获取的信号中确定三维地理位置。来自位于全球的卫星跟踪和监视站的测量被并入每个卫星的轨道模型以计算精确的轨道或时钟数据。通过由GPS卫星121共享的两个展频微波载波信号传送GPS信号。设备107a需要识别来自至少四个卫星121的信号,解码天体位置表和时钟数据,确定每个卫星121的伪范围,并计算接收天线的方位。

在一个实施例中,平台101能使得大用户组(例如,陌生人和朋友/家人等)发送关于特定的正在进行的事件信息。这形成了就共同经历进行交流的用户的“自组(ad hoc)”网络。

图2是根据示例性实施例经由移动通信设备共享与由移动通信设备的用户参与的事件相关的内容的过程流程图。在步骤201,移动通信设备(例如设备107a)在事件位置的预定邻近区域内移动。按照步骤203,设备107a接收目标事件的文本通知。通过示例,所述通知能指定事件相关的信息以及如何共享内容的指令:(1)事件名称,(2)如何上传关于事件的文本、图片和视频的简短描述,(3)如何查看由其他用户对事件贡献的其他文本、图片和视频的简短描述,以及(4)任何需要的广告免责声明,以符合反垃圾邮件/合法性需求。
此外,设备107a接收提示(例如,是/否提示),以允许用户指示期望参与服务(步骤205)。如果用户指示期望参与(如在步骤207),那么用户经由设备107a能产生关于事件的内容。例如,在步骤209和211,用户能够写下文本说明、拍摄照片、和/或记录事件的简短视频,以上传到事件内容共享平台101内的内容模块103。
在步骤213,用户能确定是否浏览来自其他用户的内容。如果是,则如在步骤215设备107a检索该内容。此时,用户能选择提供关于检索的内容的评论,其中相应地上传该评论(步骤217-221)。
根据一个实施例,当事件结束时,结束经由无线设备107a-107n发送消息、图片和视频的能力。然而,用户仍能在无线设备107a-107n或PC129上经由Web浏览器浏览多媒体消息。
图3是根据示例性实施例用于识别由移动通信设备的用户参加的事件的过程流程图。首先,在步骤301,平台101检测设备107a在其他设备107b-107n的附近。可以设置与附近区域和设备的数量相关的参数,使得呈现最小量的用户以及呈现该数量的合适设备107a-107n(例如,GPS使能的,能拍摄图片和拍摄视频等)。如在步骤303,基于其他设备107b-107n的定位信息确定事件的位置。平台101基于GPS坐标查询位置名称(即,逆向地理码操作)。按照步骤305,平台101使用该位置和当前时间识别事件。具体地,事件和呈现服务模块115访问位置和事件数据库117以确定主题事件。例如,数据库117能够存储事件描述(例如,类型和名称)以及位置和时间。

图4是根据示例性实施例使用基于Web的应用访问事件内容的过程流程图。在该场景下,按照步骤401和403,计算设备129的用户能够使用基于Web的应用(例如浏览器)输入网站131的地址,例如统一资源定位符(URL)。在步骤405,浏览器还能向用户呈现参与任何讨论或关于交换内容的评论的选项。如果用户选择参与(如在步骤405),则用户输入评论以提交到网站131(步骤407)。
预期计算设备129的用户能同时浏览来自多个事件的内容。这样,事件可以通过主题(摇滚音乐会,足球比赛和集市)和位置分类。当用户在设备129上浏览事件消息时,他们能接收定向到相同的总体领域的未来事件的广告。
图5是根据示例性实施例,利用用户接口参与事件的移动通信设备的示意图。在该场景下,移动设备501包括显示器503,显示器503被配置为呈现为具体事件产生的内容。在一个实施例中,移动设备501的用户能经由光标按钮505或键盘507输入信息。而且,这些光标按钮505或键盘507的键能够控制摄像功能或音频记录功能。
一旦进入事件场所109,设备501就呈现事件通知菜单509。文本框511提供与内容共享相关的事件和指令的信息。此外,菜单513显示上传按钮513以使用文本或多媒体消息(例如SMS和MMS)将本地产生的内容传送到平台101。而且,用户能选择下载按钮515以检索共享内容。

上述涉及使用集成机顶盒提供事件内容的过程能经由软件、硬件(例如,通用处理器、数字信号处理(DSP)芯片、专用集成(ASIC)电路、现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)等)、固件或其组合实施。下面详细描述执行所述功能的示例性硬件。

由所述装置从所述移动通信设备中的一个或多个接收所述内容并存储所述内容,
其中,所述装置中存储的所述内容可由所述移动通信设备访问。

23.一种提供事件内容共享的装置,包括:
位置模块,被配置为产生定位信息以经由无线网络向事件内容共享平台传送所述定位信息,所述事件内容共享平台被配置为检测在预定位置内的多个移动通信设备,以识别对应于所述预定位置和当前时间的事件;以及
处理器,被配置为从所述事件内容共享平台接收关于所述事件的通知,并响应于所述通知产生与所述事件相关的内容,其中所述内容被传送至所述事件内容共享平台并存储在所述事件内容共享平台中,其中,所述事件内容共享平台中存储的所述内容可由所述移动通信设备访问。
24.如权利要求23的装置,其中,所述内容包括文本、图像、音频、视频、或其组合。
25.如权利要求23的装置,其中,所述内容是经由短消息服务SMS协议或多媒体消息服务MMS协议传送的。
26.如权利要求23的装置,其中,所述位置模块被配置为接收全球定位系统GPS信号以产生所述定位信息。
27.如权利要求23的装置,其中,访问第三方事件数据库以识别所述事件。
