Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)包装带的制造方法。本发明还涉及一种制造该包装带的装置。在本发明中,PET废料被用于制造该包装带。当然,新PET也可以作为PET材料加入PET废料中。
背景技术
PET废料尤其指的是碎的PET废料,特别是使用过的PET瓶粉碎后得到的碎的PET废料。特别是,粉碎后得到的所谓的PET薄片是尤其适用于本发明的。PET废料比新PET材料或新PET颗粒成本上更划算。另一方面,PET废料也有明显的缺点。首先,PET废料有相对高程度的杂质。而且,PET废料有相对高的含水量。另外,PET废料处于无定形态。
EP1440783A1[US2004/0164437]记载了将没有预先干燥和预结晶化的PET材料,特别是PET废料,提供给一个双螺杆挤出机。由此产生的熔融的塑料被双螺杆挤出机下游的喷丝头以带状的形式输出。被冷却和拉伸的这种塑料带被用作包装带。这种公知的方法被证实是可行的。
在实践中有几种已知的处理PET废料的方法。由于包含在PET废料中的杂质至少大量的残留在最终产品中,这些方法都存在缺点。通常,这些来自PET废料中的杂质导致制备的PET产品的低质量。这些杂质特别是粘合剂,化学添加剂,和类似物。
发明内容
因此,本发明要解决的技术问题是提供一种上述的可以由PET废料制造的,具有最适宜的性能,尤其是具有良好的机械性能的高质量的包装带的制造方法。
为了解决该技术问题,本发明提供了一种制造聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)包装带的方法,其中
用单螺杆挤出机挤出预先干燥的PET废料;
在挤出过程中,负压力被提供给该单螺杆挤出机内部,从而低分子量的杂质从PET废料中被除去;以及
熔化的塑料以带状形式从单螺杆挤出机下游的喷丝头输出。
本发明所述的低分子量的杂质尤其是指那些来自污染PET废料的材料的物质,例如粘合剂,化学添加剂和类似物。本发明所述的低分子量杂质不是指预干燥的PET废料中可能残留的水分。当然,任何仍然残留的水分可以在低分子量的杂质在负压条件下被除去的同时也被除去。然而,本发明的目的是除去PET废料中不是水的低分子量杂质。
本发明中使用或由单螺杆挤出机挤出PET废料的事实也包括其中该PET废料混有新鲜的PET材料或新鲜的PET颗粒的实施方案。本发明所述的PET废料是指材料中包含至少50wt%,优选包含至少75wt%,更优选包含至少85wt%,非常优选至少包含90wt%的PET废料或PET回收材料。在本发明推荐的实施方案中,使用的PET材料包含至少95wt%的PET废料或完全包含PET废料或几乎完全包含PET废料。尤其在本发明中,特别是使用来自用过的PET瓶的PET废料。特别是那些用过的PET瓶被粉碎后得到的所谓的PET薄片,尤其适用于本发明方法。此外在本发明中,使用来自用过的PET膜的PET废料。
根据本发明,预干燥的PET废料被使用和提供给单螺杆挤出机,并被单螺杆挤出机挤出。作为本发明的一个优选的实施方案,预干燥的PET废料含有少于35ppm的湿气或水,优选少于30ppm,更优选少于25ppm。在本发明中,预干燥的PET废料的湿气含量或水含量为10至30ppm,优选10至25ppm。
根据一个实施方案,用至少一个定量加料器,其作为一个具体的例子如计量螺杆,把预干燥的PET废料提供给单螺杆挤出机。但是这种特殊的定量加料器在本发明中并不是绝对必需的。PET废料也可以由一个漏斗系统直接提供给单螺杆挤出机。PET废料优选以PET粒子的形式,更优选以PET薄片的形式提供给单螺杆挤出机。根据一个实施方案,PET粒子也指PET颗粒。
在本发明中,在挤出机内部产生负压力或挤出机内部的排气是使用至少一个与挤出机内部相连接的泵或真空泵来实现的。进一步在本发明中,提供给挤出机内部的负压力小于10毫巴,优选小于5毫巴,更优选小于3毫巴。根据本发明的一个非常优选的实施方案,提供给挤出机内部的负压力的范围为1至10毫巴,优选为1至5毫巴,以及非常优选1至3毫巴。
挤出机内部的负压力优选由1到3个沿单螺杆挤出机的纵向隔开的真空室(vacuum dome)产生。根据本发明的一个非常推荐的实施方案,为了在挤出机内部产生负压力,至少有2个沿单螺杆挤出机的纵向隔开的真空室。根据本发明的一个特别优选的实施方案,为除去低分子量杂质,在挤出机的附聚区域(agglomerate zone)和熔化区域,都提供负压力和对单螺杆挤出机进行排气。所述的挤出机的附聚区域指的是其中提供的PET粒子,特别是PET薄片,粘结和附聚,但是并没有完全熔化的区域。在此附聚区域,特别地,软化或熔化在PET粒子/PET薄片的表面产生,因此导致附聚的结果。单螺杆挤出机的附聚区域的温度为140至160℃,优选150℃或大约150℃。按照挤出机内部的长度,附聚区域至少部分地位于挤出机内部的上游一半处。PET优选的是完全或主要在单螺杆挤出机的熔化区域熔化。按照挤出机内部的长度,熔化区域位于挤出机内部的下游一半处。因而,挤出机内部的排气优选由至少一个与单螺杆挤出机的附聚区域相连接的真空室和至少一个与单螺杆挤出机的熔化区域相连接的真空室来实现。上面规定的负压力也优选施加于这些真空室中的每一个。
在本发明中,在发明的挤出机内部的排气过程中,至少一种来自组“二醇(glycol),1,2-乙二醇,二氧戊环(dioxolan),二甲苯,乙醇,对苯二酸,间苯二甲酸,乙醛,2-丙醇”的低分子杂质或物质通过提供负压力从挤出机内部除去。该方法优选将至少两或三种上述杂质从挤出机内部除去。本发明中的二氧戊环尤其是指2-甲基-1,3-二氧戊环。二甲苯尤其是指间二甲苯和/或对二甲苯。进一步在本发明中,该方法的进行使得,在挤出机内部的排气过程中,由分子式(COC6H4COOCH2CH2)x表示的环状低聚物物被除去,在此x=3-13。首先优选x=3的环状低聚物从这些低聚物中被除去。低分子量的杂质尤其是还指低分子量PET部分(低聚物),这是聚酯水解过程中,分解平衡的结果。
根据本发明的一个非常优选的实施方案,在单螺杆挤出机的下游有一个网式过滤器。本发明一个特别推荐的实施方案,其特征在于,网式过滤器上游和网式过滤器下游的运动方向的熔化压力被测量,以及单螺杆挤出机的速度和/或PET废料相对单螺杆挤出机的喂料速度作为测量的压力值的函数而变化。PET废料的计量是可变的,例如通过调节位于单螺杆挤出机上游的计量螺杆的速度加以改变。当清洗网式过滤器时,压力调节是特别有帮助的。一个反向洗涤(backwash)系统优选被提供,并且,根据网式过滤器的污染程度,为了从过滤器上冲洗掉杂质,熔化物被排放到开口处。在冲洗过程中,为缩短时间,单螺杆挤出机需要额外的材料。这种反向洗涤可以通过这种发明的压力调节方式来顺利实现。
从喷丝头输出的塑料带有利的是具有3mm至50mm的宽度。在本发明中,从喷丝头挤出的塑料带随后被冷却和拉伸。该塑料带有利的是用液体介质冷却,优选在水浴中。该塑料带优选在至少一个拉伸方向上被拉伸。该塑料带优选在多个拉伸方向上被拉伸。

在本发明中,至少一个结晶器被用作干燥设备。PET废料在该结晶器中被预干燥和预结晶化。
本发明是基于这种认识,即,使用本发明的方法,由相对低廉的PET废料制备高质量的包装带是可能的。本发明是基于上述所有的认识,即包含在PET废料中的杂质对由其制备的包装带的质量可以产生明显的消极作用。该消极作用主要是损害这种包装带的机械性能。通过本发明的方法,制造一种有具有最适宜的机械性能,特别是极好的强度和最适宜的拉伸性能的包装带是可能的。另外,使用本发明的方法和本发明的装置,能够以相对简单,不很复杂,而且因此具有成本效益的方式制备这种包装带。

具体实施方式
这些附图显示了一个制造聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)包装带1的装置。根据本发明,PET废料被用于制造该包装带。推荐PET废料以PET薄片2的形式被使用,该薄片优选是由粉碎使用过的PET瓶获得的。PET废料或PET薄片是有利的,并且,在图示的具体实施例中,在干燥设备或结晶器24中进行预干燥和预结晶化。然后,预干燥的PET粒子或PET薄片2被提供给一个单螺杆挤出机3,通过该挤出机,PET废料被挤出。该单螺杆挤出机3由一个挤出机马达4驱动。

一个网式过滤器10位于单螺杆挤出机3的下游。在网式过滤器10的下游,熔化的PET被提供至一个喷丝头11,通过该喷丝头,熔化的PET以平的带状的形式输出。优选在网式过滤器10上游的上游测量点12和在网式过滤器10下游的下游测量点13测量熔体压力。根据测量的压力值,一个控制器14可以调节挤出机马达4上的单螺杆挤出机3的速度,和/或控制经由单螺杆挤出机3上游的一个定量加料器15的PET废料的进入。

Claims (10)

在挤出过程中,负压力被提供给单螺杆挤出机(3)的挤出机内部(5),因而,低分子量的杂质被从PET废料中除去;以及
熔化的塑料被以带状的形式从所述单螺杆挤出机(3)下游的喷丝头(11)挤出。

8.根据权利要求1至7中任一项所述的方法,其中从喷丝头(11)输出的塑料带随后被冷却和拉伸。
9.一种制造聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)包装带(1)的装置,
其中干燥设备(24)被用于预干燥PET废料;
其中还设置有单螺杆挤出机(3),其用来挤出预干燥的PET废料;
其中单螺杆挤出机(3)有至少一个真空室(6和7),用来提供负压力给单螺杆挤出机(3)的挤出机内部(5),和从而用来从PET废料中除去低分子量杂质;以及
其中还有位于单螺杆挤出机(3)下游输出所述塑料带的的喷丝头(11)。
10.权利要求9所述的装置,其中施加负压力或排气是通过至少一个与单螺杆挤出机(3)的附聚区域(8)相连接的真空室(6)和通过至少一个与单螺杆挤出机(3)的熔化区域(9)相连接的真空室(7)来实现的。
